Solved Windows 7 slower under Fusion 3

some problems with Fusion 3 and Windows 7 (x 64), the graphics are slow and jerky, with Fusion 2, they're fast enough.

also, keeps him coming back to 1920 x 1440, after restart, screen resolution not to keep the setting of 2048 x 1536.

I installed the new VMware tools.

Thanks for the update thread, we are pleased to learn that our changes under the hood have helped... we worked hard on improving the performance more 3.0 with 3.1.x so it's nice to hear the stories of success from users = accordingly)

  • Windows 8.1 under Fusion 5

    Hello

So I bought the latest version 5 (now 5.0.4.) from the merger last year.

    Works perfectly.

I was running Windos xp in VMWare on my Mac.

XP is no longer supported by Microsoft on April 1 this year.

    So I have to buy a new windows 8.1 for €119, -.

This version 8.1 W works under my 5.0.4 Fusion?

I have it only for 6 months!

Well, now that I'm back from a long break for lunch, I just tested using Image Windows 8.1 Enterprise Evaluation ISO from Microsoft (9600.16384.WINBLUE_RTM.130821 - 1623_X64FRE_ENTERPRISE_EVAL_EN-US-IRM_CENA_X64FREE_EN-US_DV5. ISO) in VMware Fusion on OS X 10.8.3 5.0.3 and it installed fine.  As Easy Install is not supported with this ISO Image, I had to manually install VMware Tools.  The installation of the VMware Tools was normal and expected feature worked too.

Keep in mind that while I had no problem under VMware Fusion 5.0.3 is not a guest OS officially supported at this time, even with VMware Fusion 5.0.4 and I doubt that there will be new updates for VMware Fusion 5 however that VMware can answer that, and I'm sure you're well aware that it is against policy to discuss things like that so I doubt you will get a direct response on this topic.

So if you want to continue to use VMware Fusion 5.0.4 and install Windows 8.1 I don't see why you can't do it as long as you know, it is not officially supported, some features may not work as Easy Install and you may have problems with VMware Fusion in OS X 10.9 Mavericks 5.x as the same official support applies to VMware Fusion with her.

  • Windows 8 slow since upgrade to Yosemite and Fusion 7

    Hello

I was previously running Windows 8 pro in Fusion 6 on the Mavericks. I had the computer virtual configured with 2 processors and 4 GB of RAM. The main applications that I use in Windows are:

    • Visual Studio 2013
    • SQL Server Express
    • SQL Server Management Studio
    • IIS Express
    • Google Chrome (for test and debug with Dev Tools)

This configuration has worked completely fine, almost as good as a native Windows PC. I've recently updated to Yosemite and Fusion 7.0.1 and upgrading VMWare Tools.

This has caused significant performance with my setup problems. More particularly:

    • The action I perform more is switching between VS2013 and Chrome (alt - tab), it was absolutely perfect and was virtually useful instant switching. Now that the same process can last between 1 and 10 seconds.
    • Chrome opening tools now takes on average about 5 seconds.
    • Doing an update of the DOM in the Chrome dev tools now takes a few seconds.
    • Attempt to inspect a DOM element (via the magnifying glass icon) now takes a few seconds.
    • Even switch between the tabs in Chrome now takes anywhere for 10 seconds, which is simply ridiculous. I never have more than about 5/6 Chrome tabs open at any time.

All the these was practically instantaneous in the old configuration.

All these things combined to me are totally unacceptable. Although they are all only small amounts of time on their own, when they are added together, it leads to huge amounts of frustration and ultimately of loads of useless waste of time.

I did used to close any unnecessary background applications/services, I increased the CPU to 4 cores and 6 GB RAM. Still no significant improvement.

To move a configuration which worked incredibly well and then supposedly "redevelopment" and end up with an installation that is considerably longer important are very frustrating. I'm hoping that someone somewhere has encountered something similar and may suggest something that I can do to make my setup get the somewhere near where it was before.

    Thank you very much

    Lee

Stop your virtual machine and change the mode of your material from 11 to 10 and restart your virtual machine.  Your performance should be back to what you expect.  Merger has MAJOR problems with equipment of level 11.

  • Windows 2000 on the Fusion 6?

I want to upgrade to Fusion 5.0.3 to 6.0.2, I won't be upgrading of Cougar to the Mavericks, but see in the list of the guests taken support that Windows 2000 and is no longer supported. I have a legacy program that does not work under Windows XP or higher, I have to use Windows 2000. Someone at - it Windows 2000 to work under Fusion 6? In so any specific instruction?

If I'm walking thorough the Wizard New Virtual Machine in VMware Fusion 6.x, under Microsoft Windows, Windows 2000 Professional, Windows 2000 Server and Windows 2000 Advanced Server are still listed and a Virtual Machine of them can be created.  Now they could no longer be officially supported (and really, why should they since even Microsoft can't stand them!) anyway you can install.

BTW, I have a Windows 2000 Server virtual computer which works very well under VMware Fusion 6.x.

  • HP 14-r015tx: Windows 8 slow start welcome screen

    Hello

I have a HP 14-r015tx running Windows OEM (preinstalled) 8.1 update and update Windows via Windows Update today (08/11/2015).

I have this problem where whenever I start my PC after Windows loading-black-screen with the HP logo (this approach indirect loading animation), get this screen "Please wait...". "so long as about 4 to 8 minutes until I get my account picture and the name with the 'Welcome' screen and my office appeared. I tried a lot of things:

-Defragment all my hard drive partitions,

-Optimize all my partitions of hard disk with the Windows defragmentation tool,

-Used TuneUp and clean all the junks, defragment the registry clean registry and redefragment my hard drive partitions.

-Uninstalling most of my games and unused applications (have 36.4 GB of free space on C,)

-Use cleanmgr and cleaned all the possible junks from there.

-Updated Windows 8 on a regular basis, and I just updated on 8 August 2015.

-Looking upward on my hard drive deep and my records and clear on the unused entries.

-Turn off much, services.msc and start apps services

-From msconfig, I put a few services, and

-Updated my BIOS HP PC software.

I do not understand on this subject. I tried many things and I can't fix this crappy Windows 8.

    In conclusion, my questions are:

    1. How do I fix this shit?

    2. can I I defragment RECOVERY (D [2 GB] partition?) (I think it's the Windows Recovery Partition)

    Thanks in advance.

  • What is werfault.exe error? How to solve window 8?

    Separated from this thread.

Original title: what is werfault.exe error? How to solve window 8? its bad thing for windows 8? / Please solve it quickly

What is werfault.exe error? How to solve window 8? its bad thing for the user to window 8?

    Hello

I will help you certainly with the same. However, we need a few details to better understand the cause of the problem.

    1. Once you get this error message?

2 did you recently do changes on your computer, before the show?

Werfault.exe is used to Windows error reporting. This is a feature that allows Microsoft to track and address errors related to Windows features, the operating system and applications. It offers you the opportunity to send data about errors to Microsoft and to receive information on the solutions.

You can access Windows here error report settings:

    1. press Windows + X, choose Panel.

    2. choose system and Maintenance , go to Problem Reports and Solutions.

    3. Select change settings , and then choose avancΘs.

4 try to disable it temporarily and see if this will fix the issue.

As a temporary solution you can disable the error reporting service:

    (a) Press Win + R, type services.msc and press ENTER.

    (b) find Windows Error Reporting service in the services list.

    (c) make a right click on it, and then click Properties.

    (d) open the "Startup Type" list and select "Disabled" press OK.

Then check and see if you still get the error werfault.exe on opening the programs.

Hope this information is useful. Please do not hesitate to answer, in the case where you are facing in the future other problems with Windows.

  • With leopard 10.6.8 running Windows XP on vmware fusion 3.0 NVIDIA problem

    Hi guys,.

really impossible to install my NVIDIA graphics card, Windows XP with VMWare fusion.

In the past it was ok, maybe it was the Snow Leopard update?

    Model ID: MacBook6, 1
Processor name: Intel Core 2 Duo
    Processor speed: 2.26 GHz

    RAM: 4 GB

    I installed the bootcamp drivers

    I have re-installed VMWare tools

Even the graphics card is not recognized, I can't install nvidia drivers (download them from the site Web of Nvidia again) and he is not able to play some video files widely.

SH # "and I work with video and need to run some progs windows for it.

    Have you heard of this?

    Obrigado

"In the past, it was ok.

Huh?  The virtual machine will NEVER see the physical GPU to your host!  He will ALWAYS see the VMware SVGA II (or VMware SVGA 3D) video card.  You IMPOSSIBLE and WAS NEVER ABLE TO, install the video driver from your host on your comments.

  • Using the stand-alone converter 5 with entry as local windows 7 in vmware fusion 4 output, the output is a folder with many files. How can I get this folder into a single file with the extension windows7.vmwarevm?

I use standalone converter where I am converting my local windows 7 in vmware fusion 4 at the exit. When I made the migration wizard previously, I had an output of a windows7.vmwarevm file. However, when I made the converter, I had a folder called windows7. In this case, I had several files.

Is there a way for me to convert all these files into one file, that is to say: windows7.vmwarevm? do I need to use the converter or other vmware tools?

    Welcome to the community,

Please take a look at Re: how to convert a package/package of my folder on drive hard/vmware fusion? to see if that helps. This is a pretty old post, but I think that it is still valid.

  • Unable to access the top of the window of photoshop-under the mac menu bar?

Photoshop window slid upward under the mac menu bar, how to make this comeback. Have you tried F buttons does not change. I tried to revive the PS-don't change not. Tried to change working area does not change.

    Does anyone have a solution?

Another idea is to go to the window menu in Photoshop. Uncheck and check the "Application Framework" and see if that does not reset it.

The problem is that the application and or the installer is smart enough to deal with a deviation from the default Windows special folder and is not really a matter of the merger itself.  In other words, you'd have the same problem on a Machine in the My Documents folder has been redirected to a network resource, as may be common in work environments, if this is more a drawback of Windows that you are using and Windowsou Windows itself and not Fusion product.

  • iMac (retina) - Fusion 8 - 10 Windows - very slow

    Hi guys,.

I need help troubleshooting a Windows 10 virtual machine that runs at snail's pace. Installation program:

    -iMac (retina 5 k, 27 inches, end of 2015)

-Processor: 3.2 Ghz Intel core i5

    -Memory: 8 GB

-Storage: 1 TB drive of Fusion

-Graphics card: AMD Radeon R9 M390

    -OS X 10.11.6 (El Capitan)

    -VMware Fusion 8

-10 Windows Home / 64 Bit, completely updated according to the settings / Windows Update.

I installed Fusion 8, installed 10 Windows using the ISO from Microsoft site and added VM Ware Tools. The installation went without any problems.

VMware for this Windows 10 VM parameters:

    -CPU: 1 heart of processor

-RAM: 1 GB (shown as recommended in the control panel)

    -Hard drive: 60 GB

I adapted only screen size settings in order to have Fusion / 10 Windows using the full resolution on the Retina display (Scaled high resolution) for unity and full screen. "Accelerate 3D graphics" it's on.

I'm now trying to use this virtual machine and it is extremely slow - both in full screen mode and one-stop shops. For example, after you click the icon on the start menu, it takes about 10 seconds until the start menu appear effectively. Chrome opening = 90 seconds. What switching applications or dragging of windows, you can sometimes watch the screen redraw. Sluggish _really_.

OS X monitor shows only moderate, activity should the CPU activity.

In the Windows 10 VM, the Task Manager / processes tab shows moderate (30%) Support CPU but memory, its use is constantly between 90 and 100% - even when no apps are open. However, no task stands out as a resource hog.

I went on "Pre-allocate disk space" in the control panel merge and change RAM of 2 GB to give VM more. Performance feels a whole little bit better, but the load high memory remains even when the system is idle.

This feels like a cheap $ 250, low-power PC. Is this normal?

    I'd appreciate any help here.

1 GB of RAM for Windows 10 is far from weak. It will be 'run', but not well. Even 2 is pushing it. 1 processor is pushing it too.

It behaves like a PC $250 because that's essentially what you have given to resources.
