Some AD users unable to sign in Essbase Prod Dev EAS.
Hi all
I had strange problems since 11.1.1.4 to 11.1.2.3,
A sign of cannont AD users in Essbase Prod Dev EAS. And this behavior is with only a few users, not all. They get a message of credentials bad connection, although they are able to connect with the same credentials on the EAS Prod. Any suggestions on what can be verified? I increased the logging level in logging.xml, included agentmessagelevel to debug in essbase.cfg, looked at the newspapers sharedservices_security and customer and tried but the error does not give more details invalid identification, I connected with Oracle, but they have not responded to me in a week. Thank you for your help in advance.

Thanks for all the answers, this has been resolved. More of a workaround, for some reason any everything connecting to essbase dev to prod EAS 'some' users should include the name of the directory as well. For example: where previously they used the user123 id to connect, now, they had to provide user123@Active. or User123@Hyperion

In this Erros message admin is owner request ID & essadmin is a native user with administrative rights.
I am able to connect to the Administration Server by the name of user "Admin" (Application owner ID) but as soon as I click on the essbase server node he came up with the error above. I gave the administrator rights to the shared service for this user to access the server Essbase and have refreshed security of AAS as well but have it still not Abel to operate.
I used the configuration utility and went to the configuration of data source and set up the database with the user name and password.
I am able to connect in the planning and the workspace using this ID and a new password, but not on the Essbase servers. I'm on 9.3.1
Please advise!

Hello. Can someone please help me urgently? My laptop is running windows 8. When I start it up and get the sign in the menu and try to connect, it says "the user profile service is not the user of the sign-in profile cannot be loaded. I saw a lot of people say to go in safe mode or use the admin account but I can't access the desktop computer or whatever it is. When I try pressing F2 repeatedly, it brings me to this menu (I think it is the BIOS, I'm not sure). I don't know what to press on it. I just reset my laptop, or something like that. Someone has an idea?
I have the same problem with a Lenovo ThinkPad. I had to call Lenovo and pay $40 for a reinstall of the operating system drive. I had to pay because the laptop is more than 1 year and out of warranty. I'm always looking for options to repair the laptop before using it on Reset it which will scan all hard disk. Refreshing, it will also remove a lot of programs after the purchase.

I'm trying to assign roles to users of the SSO, but I can't. I reached this local and LDAP users, but not for users of SINGLE sign-on (I want to use my AD users but without LDAP configuration)
My platform is vCenter 5.5 U1 for SSO, vCAC camera + server IaaS and vCAD appliance. When you save your vCAD with vCAC you can use integrated vCAC SSO authentication. But, how can I assign roles to users of SSO?
I can access vCAD with AD users via integrated authentication for SSO, but all options are read-only.

When you have saved your vCAD with vCAC, new roles appears in vCAC. The roles are:
- Applications architect
- Request catalogue administrator
- Director of Cloud applications
- Deployer and publisher of the application
- Director of application system
You can apply this role to users or groups, but always vCAC--> Administration--> groups/users

Unable to connect to Essbase on Regional service Console server because of error 1042006

I installed the whole EPM 11.1.1.3 on Windows x 64 platform. When I try to connect the server essbase through the Regional service console, I get the following error:

Error: 1042006: error network [10061]: unable to connect to [localhost:1423].
The customer has expired waiting to connect to Essbase Agent using the TCP/IP protocol.
Check your network connections.
Also, make sure that the values for server and port are correct
I checked the CFG file, which shows the correct port as well. I can connect to the Administration of Essbase server located on the same machine, but do not know why I get this error message. Below I have pasted the contents of the CFG file, in case where someone wants to cross check it out.

The error message:

...CFG file indicates:

...The port default (1423) is commented out and changed in 1424. Your EAS connection must use port 1424 and not default to 1423.
Try to use "localhost:1424" (without the quotes) in the Essbase server field when you add the Essbase server to EAS.

Can I have 2 Server essbase for an EAS?

Currently, I am working on the version as 11.1.2.i need help.
In fact, my question is if I have 2 Server essbase (Dev and Prod) under an administrative server i.e., Localhost1 (Dev) and prod as its own box i.e., Localhost2.Here my username and password for Dev and prod are different. So, while adding the prod server. I'll uncheck the SSO option and enter my user name and password for the prod server. When I added the prod Server I could not see any application under the server. My question is does have any connection between DEv and Prod server in order to have 2 servers essbase under an EAS?

RSGThis means that EE can not see Essbase running on the server that you specified. It's either because Essbase really isn't running, Essbase agent is not listening on the default (1423) port, the server name you provided is incorrect, or the server name cannot be resolved from the point of view of the EAS server.
First of all I would like to confirm you can access the PROD Essbase server just to confirm that it's upward (since it's the Prod, I guess you know if he wasn't running...) using for example MaxL, SmartView or the Excel Add-In.
Then try using the IP address of the server rather than the server name when you enter the details in INJURED.
I'm not very good with networking so I can't give a full description, but I also worked on the sites where the PROD environment was intentionally cut off the dev / TEST environments - that is no TEST server cannot see a PROD server. Is it possible your site works this way?

I recently reinstalled my computer. Everything was fine until today when I went to sign in under my user ID.
