  If you are able to connect to the server of Maxl Essbase.

  1. I suggest you to take a look at the Source of data for planning application. Since it is an Active/Passive with SSL configuration URL would now

  http://host: port/aps/Essbase? NOMCLUSTER = cluster_name

  Note: ssl = true is removed at the end

  The problem has been resolved.

  I discovered that it was with Linux server, I could configure the Essbase server from Windows server to Windows server while it was certainly the problem of Linux.

  To solve it, I had to re - install Linux server, I configured the Essbase server and she succeeded. I don't know what was the reason for the issuance of the periphery, but I guess that there is a missing package installed on Linux server and this cause of the wrong configuration.

  I installed the whole EPM 11.1.1.3 on Windows x 64 platform. When I try to connect the server essbase through the Regional service console, I get the following error:

  Error: 1042006: error network [10061]: unable to connect to [localhost:1423].
  The customer has expired waiting to connect to Essbase Agent using the TCP/IP protocol.
  Check your network connections.
  Also, make sure that the values for server and port are correct
  
  I checked the CFG file, which shows the correct port as well. I can connect to the Administration of Essbase server located on the same machine, but do not know why I get this error message. Below I have pasted the contents of the CFG file, in case where someone wants to cross check it out.

  There is a clue in the error message and the CFG file you posted.

  The error message:
  ...
  Unable to connect to [localhost:1423].
  ...

  CFG file indicates:

  ...
  ; AGENTPORT 1423
  ...
  AGENTPORT 1424
  ...

  The port default (1423) is commented out and changed in 1424. Your EAS connection must use port 1424 and not default to 1423.

  Try to use "localhost:1424" (without the quotes) in the Essbase server field when you add the Essbase server to EAS.

  Then the command prompt

  Telnet Server port

  for example, essbase running on the default port.

  Telnet cloudservername 1423

  The assumption is that essbase running on the default port.

  You also need to open ports for the application - Ports Essbase server port

  The error indicates that there is no such thing as the CONSOL database

  Look for the target value. I got the below error:
  Error: Essbase API procedure: [EsbSetActive] threw code: 1051032-1051032 - [Sun Apr 21 11:16:19 2013] hyperion / / / admin/Error (1051032)
  Consol of database does not exist

  I would say verying the target Machine defined in the profile of FDM applicatino server machine pointing the right Essbase server.

  OK so Essbase is now running, so you should be able to test a connection through Maxl, run c:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\epmsystem1\EssbaseServer\essbaseserver1\bin\startMaxl.bat

• Essbase Rapid Deployment - 11.1.2.3 - unable to connect to the administration server

  I downloaded the files required for Essbase and installed with rapid deployment. The installation was successful, and during installation, it is only requested a deployment password.

  If it is a rapid deployment and web apps all work on a default port 9000 which means that when you enter the administrator of the server you must enter in the format of servername:9000

  I'm having trobules connection Smart View to make ad hoc analyses, but perfectly I could establish a connection with planning and navigate web forms in Excel.
  
  The address that I use to connect to Essbase is: http:// < server >: 19000/aps/SmartView and planning url is http:// < server >: 19000/HyperionPlanning/SmartView
  
  I have already used these URLS in another server with the version 11.1.2 but now that I'm trying to connect to a server with v11.1.1.3 I can't. Whenever I connect to planning to see forms a prompt appears with the message saying that "I connect to a server with an earlier version" but I could work perfectly with the forms. When I connect to essbase, I can see the apps but I can't just do any analysis adhoc.

  SmartView 11.1.2 is not compatible with Essbase 11.1.1.3.

  19000 is sufficient for all web applications, because they will be handled by the web server, for example, workspace, smart display, FR. Essbase studio not falling in this and if you use the studio console, you must open the port on the studio server.

  Yes... Essbase security file is corrupted. I have restored back file and be able to start the Essbase Server services.

  This is the second time I'm getting this question in the last week. Please could you let me know the reason of corruption of Essbase security files.
