'Some import operations have not made' import camera

Greetings,

I been using LR3 for awhile and have never had a problem before import, but from last week (he worked Tuesday, but failed as of Thursday), attempt to import directly from my Canon 7 d has produced this error dialog box:

Direct import in LR3 has worked with this unit because I got it a year ago, so this problem is completely new to me.

I can import directly from the camera with Canon utility, with the Image Capture and with iPhoto, so everything is fine with the camera or the usb connection.

After impoting the photos from the camera to a folder on the computer with something else than LR3, I then import those pictures into LR from the disc without problems so everything goes well with the picture of the files themselves .

I tried formatting the CF card, restart LR3 and restart the computer.  Nothing did.

Not being is not able to import directly into LR3 is a pain and the other I want to disappear.  Help?

Thank you!

LR 3.6; OS X 10.6.8; Intel iMac

More information:  I just tried to import from the same camera with LR3 on my MBP, so there is no problems everything that happens is unique for the instance of LR3 installed on my iMac.

Please be aware that the message "file could not be read' some (actually most) sometimes means"file could not be written.

First thing I would do is to check the destination folder specified when your import of existence and appropriate write permissions.
