Some letters from readers always detect RAW files when Filsystem is quite suspect Automount or Mounteddevices Issos

Strange problems that I can't find an answer to.

WHENEVER I connect to a USB external storage (USB key or drive). This player is a course assigned drive letter and by default it will go to 'F' on my system.
He will be always detected as RAW file system is not MOUNTED.

Solution: If I use "change driver letter" and assign to anything other than 'F' or 'I' it works perfectly and correctly, the file system is detected.
Then there is a solution, but it is an extreme annoyance because I'm about to upgrade to WIndows 7 and want to make sure that this issue is not.

Some facts:
1. the file systems on disks are perfectly fine
-They work perfectly on other systems
-Once I have assigned a drive letter that is 'unaffected' they work very well on my system as well.
2. it is not a problem of structure of disk or something because again once they work very well if assigned as other letters (I manually onto the Disk Manager)

Suspect: I suspect a registry entry or a configuration showing because of a previous detection that "drive F" and 'Drive' is always a read-ONLY drive or RAW... (As if the registry is stuck or cannot be changed by the system after this new device detection).

The registry entry "HKLM/SYSTEM/MONTEDDEVICES" seems to keep an entry for each connected device ever, but I don't know how to read this configuration and repair... [AND don't know if it's here that I can solve this].

Help, please. I've seen many titles on the Forums about this type of problem and they all point using FIXDISKS and repair tools... In the end run, they end up changing the "mount point" of the reader this way solve the problem, but boredom rest.

Hope that someone really knows how to identify and solve this problem.

Kind regards
Sam

Well well OK...
I found the answer myself.
Based on this Artticle

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/822653

But going a bit more you can simply do

Start a command line 'CMD '.
Make sure you have only your "Permanent" disks connected... (If you have a connected USB always leave here)
TYPE: MOUNTVOL/R
It removes all previous volumes of mounted police are not currently use the system
Then type: MOUNTVOL / E
To ensure that "AUTOMOUNT" is enabled (as well as a drive letter is assigned automatically)

This WORKS. I solved my problem so I can now confidently go to Windows 7 :-)

    Hi rsev,.

For existing photos, select all your images in the grid view, and then click the Reset All button in the quick develop Panel. Then click on the auto tone button to correctly apply this feature.

To prevent this from happening in the future, choose Lightroom > preferences > Presets (Mac OS) or edit > Preferences > Presets (Windows). Uncheck the apply auto tone adjustments.

Reference: thumbnails appear black in Lightroom CC 2015.2/6.2

    It will be useful.

Open the "sent" folder on the account that you mailed to and look at the message that you sent it to see.

You have email of the accident to a group? You have a group created in the application of Contact with these names? Or maybe that you click on reply to all to create the message?

  • Some letters of the alphabet will not type when you try to rename a folder

I went to rename a file today and some letters of the alphabet appear on the screen when I typed them on my laptop. I'm using Vista on a Dell computer, but I don't think that it's the laptop, since the letters appears on a Word document and they work fine now. I think that the letters were T,C,H and V. All other letters work fine.

I have the soda on the keys accidentally spills earlier today, but I cleaned up as quickly as possible, and really didn't have any other problems with it, except that the Shift key sticks a bit, I think. I think it's the soda causing the problem with the missing letters, but it's only when I go to rename a folder. I tried out too many Documents, but that did not help.

If someone could let me know how I could solve this problem, it would be great. It is not a major problem, just an irritation.

    Thank you

In fact, I don't know what happened, but I just tried renaming a folder under the side to see if it still worked, and today it let me type T, C, H and V. I do not know!!! It works fine now. Weird...

    Thanks for your help though.

  • DNG, we get from RAW in Camera RAW files, loss of detail?

The HDR or panoramic DNG we get from RAW in Camera RAW files, are they similar to a RAW file, or they suffer losses of quality?

The merged pano is a DNG, always a raw file with latitude of intact setting. It's not a RGB file made.

Of course, you will get the usual perspective correction in executives "side", with the associated resampling, but apart from that, you lose nothing.

  • Corrupting the RAW files Lightroom? Hardware problem?

I started having some problems with being corrupt when RAW files I open them in Lightroom. I did a lot to solve problems and to limit the symptoms, and this is what I can tell you. If anyone has any ideas about how to solve this problem, I would really appreciate it!

    Material

    Canon 7 d, 1 32 GB, 1 CF card of 4 GB CF card

Lenovo laptop, win 8. Lightroom 4

    Dell PC, Win7, Lightroom 5

Here's what corruption looks like in my view of the library. Note that all the pictures are the same. I just quick-draws a bunch of shots in the hallway to test this out.

    Corruption.JPG

I first noticed the corruption on the PC, shooting photos of the 32 GB card. I bought a new hard drive (SSD hybrid), installed a clean version of Windows 7 and upgrade to Lightroom 5, then the 5.3 update. I have re-uploaded a few photos of the 32 GB card, and they are always corrupt. So here is my new events:

    • I shot a series of photos as mentioned above on 32GB card, downloaded on the laptop with a USB cable. The photos look good.
    • I shot a series of pictures on 4GB card, downloaded to the laptop with the same cable, they seem good.
    • I have imported the same photos of the card 4 GB and the 32 GB on the PC card with my existing Lighrtoom catalog and they are corrupt.
    • I created a new catalog of Lightroom on PC and downloaded the same pictures of the card 4 GB and the 32 GB on the PC card, and they are corrupt.

So, what gives? I think we can exclude from corruption or see questions on the hard drive, the operating system, the USB cable and both of the cards It baffles me that a new clean, new OS install HD catalogue, USB cable and upgrade Lightroom have not solved the problem. Is it possible that there is another part of the material on my PC which is corrupting the files?

I'd like an idea if people have ideas!

    Thank you
    Adam

    AH HA!  Found the problem.

I was wrong when I said that I had read / edition / exported one of the files above.  It turns out it was another file in the series.  After several tests with the original memory card, it is clear that corruption happened in the car plug.  Try to view the images on the memory card via the card reader integrated on my Macbook Pro so that a 3rd party USB card reader both show the same corruption.  The card (or maybe camera, although less I think) corrupted file in the capture / write times.

I think that the reason why that corruption was not visible in Lightroom, until I saw to the magnifying glass was that I had the opportunity to "Build overviews" in LR "Minimal" value, which means that he was using the built-in previews and only renders don't not a preview of the file RAW itself. Lightroom only attempted to construct a standard in the RAW file preview once I opened it in the Loupe, so that's when corruption was first visible in LR. It's what made me think that I could see the file becomes corrupted on the fly. I had put in Lightroom to build some of the RAW file when you import (using the "Standard" or "1 / 1" ") likely corruption would have immediately shown.

Appreciate the feedback and advice.  Apologies for not doing my due diligence ahead and excluding the memory card.  I had been cheated on my previous interactions with files that threw me a little trail during troubleshooting.

    Keep, nothing to see here

  • Filter in adobe bridge to select only the Raw files to DNG format convert

Here's my problem - I have a new camera DMC TZ70 and 5.7 Lightroom does not recognize the. RW2 files. I would need to buy LR6! Maybe later.

So I thought that I import via the bridge and convert to DNG.

So I open the bridge, and then select the camera - great - BUT there are files for Raw, the same number of JPEG files images and some .bdm. TDT etc files. (for example 3 raw + 7 others).

I can set up a filter to Show only Raw files when I see what files are in the folder of the card at the Bridge, but when I select "get photos from camera" I can either select all OR deselect and then I need to MANUALLY select raw files. There seems not to be a way to set up a filter in the form of Downloader so that bridge selects only the Raw files for conversion.

If I left it all, Bridge Converts the RW2 in DNG files, but also provides in the JPGs and other files. I can delete these later, but this seems an inefficient way to do it.

Is it possible to manually select raw files in the form of Photo Downloader?

    Advice please, thank you, Mel

I guess the answer's bridge doesn't do what I want, but not Lightroom - bought LR6

  • 5 Lightroom suddenly stopped to recognize my Nikon NEF raw files with their map download

Lightroom 5 has suddenly stopped to recognize Nikon NEF raw files when I try to download from my camera memory card.  Any suggestions appreciated

This means generally that you do not have WRITE permission in the destination folder where you try to write files in the import step.

  • 5 Lightroom is auto-développer our canon 7 d raw files but not the canon 5 d mark 3 files during import.

5 Lightroom is self-development of raw files when importing on the canon 7 d but not on the mark 3 5 d from canon. I prefer to do individual files in the develop module.

Go in the preferences, select the presets Hit "reset all develop factory settings." You probably accidentally set a default to develop for the 7 d. Also, make sure that you do not have a preset selected in the import dialog box.

  • How to select RAW files that have no jpg versions?

I'm experimenting Lightroom, because I want to know if he can help me to get the best pictures of my Panasonic DMC-TZ60.  I got fine jpg, but she has the ability to take RAW photos with or without jpg versions.  JPG images are heavily processed in camera, and I became dissatisfied.  I used Lightroom to the process of the last series of photos I've taken in RAW and have exported jpg versions that I can share with friends and using Flickr.

Over the years, I've had several cameras that could shoot in RAW, but after using Photoshop Express and other programs, including the RAW converters included with cameras, I found their incredibly slow and heavy.  I was recommended to lightroom as it can copy adjustments between photos taken together, and he didn't kick out me of the processor section whenever I finished it a photo.

I don't want to do is double previous conversions, I'm looking for a way to find one of my previous RAW files that do NOT have a version jpg (with the same file name).  I can find easily all my RAW files - it is simply a collection of smart.  Where I can get all my RW2 (Panasonic) or RAW CRW (Canon) files.  What I can't easily do, is see if they already have a jpg version.

Can it be done?  If so, how would you please?  Is there advice that I should consider marking or marking or which gives color to a RAW file when you import I can delete once treated?

I don't think there is a way to do it. But why are you keep JPEG images? I shoot raw only. The only time I need a JPEG file is if I want to share it on the Internet, by e-mail, or send to a laboratory to be printed. Other than that, the JPEG is not necessary. So I generate JPEG files for a specific purpose. When this effect was filled the JPEG images are deleted. They can quickly and easily be regenerated when needed.

Of course, these images for which you have only the master files to JPEG, you want to certainly keep those. But, in my opinion, there is no need to have JPEG copies of each raw file. Suppose you decide to make additional adjustments to one of these raw files. He must then remember to generate a JPEG file and remember where you store them. I just think that you do more work and confusion for yourself. But then, that's just my opinion.

  • Photoshop CC 2015 will not display the RAW files

I installed Photoshop on my new computer and it will not display the RAW file when I go to change. Instead, it shows a rectangle cream colored with a dark blue background. If I click Open a picture, it will open it for further editing and I can see the image once again, but it will not display in the initial screen. I have version 9.4 of the camera RAW plugin and the computer is a HP Envy with Windows 10 if that helps. See screenshot for reference.

Can someone tell me how to solve this problem?

Click on Photoshop (Mac) or edit (Windows) > Preferences > Camera Raw
