Some missing sounds in Windows 8.1

Hello... A few months ago, I downloaded an update for IDT High def codecs through Windows Update in Windows 8. . Shortly after, I noticed that it was missing some sounds in some games. I rolled back the pilots and the sounds were working again. Now with Windows 8.1 these sounds are missing again because the 8.1 comes standard with the updated drivers. I would like to install previous drivers but don't know where to find them. Or, if there is a work around, I'd appreciate any help anyone can give me.

Please download and install the driver audio of the following hyperlink to solve the problem:

Can you help me with this?

    Hi Said,

What version of Windows 7 you are using? 32-bit or 64-bit?
For 64 bit I can find all the drivers for your laptop. It belongs to the series of PSU9ME according to the Web from Toshiba website.

In addition, it would be interesting to know if you get an error message during the installation of the drivers.

I would recommend also installing the drivers yourself through the Device Manager where you can choose the driver yourself.

I do not know my windows XP has some missing components that some applications do not work. "SFC 3498 records" is something that the technical support engineers who are hired by Microsoft should download so that they can learn how sfc/scannow actually works rather than send people on wild goose prosecutions that will not work.

Looks like you just download the first file in the list of files on my SkyDrive - look down the list for the sfcfiles.dll and download it.

To fix your immediate problem, you need to download:

    Sfcfiles.dll

And put it in the designated folders.

If this file is missing, it is probably being quarantined (actually deleted) by your unspecified antivirus/antimalware software.

If this is the case, AV software you are using is distressed and he can just delete it again.

    Hello

To refresh or reset the computer, you must have the installation of Windows 8 media. See the article and try to create one:

How to create an installation media for a PC refresh or reset

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media

To perform a new installation of Windows 8, you can see the article:

Note: be sure to back up all data before the installation of Windows 8.

First of all, I put in the recovery CD Toshiba to installation and then I turned on the computer.
When the Toshiba screen came on I pressed r
Nothing happened and I was returned to the original error message

Secondly, I tried holding down c when I turned on the computer because that's what cd said to

I've supported them all upward, only some, because previously there was no problem with the computer and I don't think I have it will re-start.

Is anyway for me to back up my documents and then reload everything, or is there a way for me to fix the entire system without erasing it?

    Thanks for your help

I agree with kody. You can try to fix it using windows advanced option menu. Maybe you can also try to repair Windows by using the recovery console. Problem is that this option can be used with Microsoft WXP CD facilities and not with supplied recovery media.

  • Windows XP could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM

    System:

    Toshiba Satellite A-75

    WIndows XP Home Edition
Fully updated with Svc Pk 3
HITACHI Travelstar hard drive 80 gig

    Nice day

I'm getting this ' file is missing or damaged:------WINDOWS-SYSTEM32-CONFIG-SYSTEM ' error and Windows does not start in the F8 boot options. When I disable the auto reboot, I get a BSOD 51 registry error, consistent with the file "missing or corrupt" error Surprisingly "Recovery Console" works so I used to run chkdsk. This has not solved the problem, but even once, surprisingly, the utility reported no fixed error. Ok. I do research online (using another computer of course) and check out the many tips that I copy some files in my "c:\windows\repair" folder in the folder 'system '. Before I had time to do that, however, I found an article from Microsoft stating that this should not be done if you have an OEM System... what I'm doing. Apparently, hives system on these OEM installed OS set other passwords that can permanently block you on your records if you use this method. Thanks for the warning. My system restore disc is nothing more than a tool of re-insall OS that will wipe all my data in the process, and this is not desirable. Currently, I see again all my data on the drive by using the "recovery console". I'm ready to thread the needle on this one in the hope of re - access the operating system, although in some limited capacity. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When you run chkdsk in RC, did you use the /r switch? This is the key! In other words, this should be the command:

    Chkdsk /r

(there is a space before the slash)

Moreover, KB307545 can be run safely on most OEM XP installations. Of course, nothing is guaranteed 100%.

Before you do this or else, you really must ensure all data is stored safely. One way to do this is to start on a live Linux CD and then copy the files to an external hard drive. Another way is to connect the problem hard drive into a working PC and copy the files in this way. This could be done by the servo drive or with an adapter like this:

Windows windows xp could not start because the following file is missing or damaged:

You can accept it corresponds to repair this file by starting windows setup using the original Setup CD
Select 'r' in the first screen to start repair

I don't have original cd so I downloaded from the internet.  Only 1 cd when the instructions said it would be 6. that didn't work

    tillieme,
You will need a valid XP disc to run the repair.  It is possible that the PC manufacturer develop a recovery hard disk partition.  You should check with them to see if it's an option.  Also, some manufacturers will provide filtering alternative for a small fee. • No sound after Windows updates - don't Please Help!

I just finished a full restore my system back to factory settings because I had no noise whatsoever.  After doing this, I had sound for a while, until some update has been installed and now I have not YET healthy.  It's extremely frustrating!  Given that the sound worked until one of the many updates has been installed, this leads me to believe that the update is the cause of the problem.  When I click on the sound tab, it shows that everything is working ok.  I tried everything I can think of to remedy to this problem.  I uninstalled, reinstalled and updated the driver for the sound.  It does not work.  I tried to use the restoration of the system to an earlier time and that doesn't work anymore (because there was not a lot of restore points because I had to complete my system restore.)  I don't know what to do to solve this problem.  I'd do another complete restore of my system, but I'm afraid that the updates will cause the same issue.  I'd appreciate any help!

  • Realtek High Defination Audio speakers is not plugged in, no sound in Windows

    Hi guys.

I got my PC for about 2 years now, and all of a sudden my audio stopped working. When I go to manage my audio devices in the Control Panel, it says "realtek high definition audio speakers are not connected. I use the onboard sound on the motherboard Asus Maximus V extreme.

Therefore, the realtek digital output has been selected automatically. I since changed it NVIDIA high definition audio digital output - so that sound for now plays on my speakers monitors via the HDMI cable.

I tried my speakers on an MP3 player and they work no - including the cable, so the speakers and cable are not a problem.

I tried to restore the pc to a time where noise - WORKS DO not STILL working.

Downloaded the latest drivers Realtek and installed - DOES NOT ALWAYS WORK.

Deleted the latest drivers and install them from the CD of motherboard drivers - DOES NOT ALWAYS WORK.

I disabled all audio devices, hoping that speakers will then - DO WORKS not ALWAYS. Help, please...
