• Problem with some of the tools after upgrade.

  I upgraded my windows XP to Windows 7.  After reloading my PS software, I get a strange thing is when I open the Psalm some of my tools (eg. zoom) turn into 3 small icons when I move the cursor over an image.  The tools still work, but it's very distracting.  I don't know what caused it, but nothing I've tried will get back to normal tools.  Anyone has any ideas on this?

  Based on DPI scaling above 100 percent in windows 7 can cause the problem too.

• Qosmio G10 106 produced some strange noises

  Hi all

  Yesterday, my computer is doing some strange noises and I had to start cold but after that the Qosmio logo comes up and has the startup sound and remains with the logo and the HDD LED is on continuously.

  Any ideas how to solve this problem would be highly appreciated.

  Can you please identify the place comes from this strange noise? Is this something like clicking noise when spinning HDD or what?

  Please be careful about this. When this noise is coming from the HARD drive, it may be that the HARD drive is going to die soon. If possible, back up all your important data.

• How do I trouble or repair cmd.exe on Win XP? For some strange reason the extension bat files does not work

  Hi all

  I have four PC all currently running Win XP Professional Service pack 3. Unfortunately only two of them will run the extension bat files when I double-click the file or run the file at the cmd prompt. The other two for some strange reason will not. When I double-click on them the cmd window opens quickly and then stops as quickly. There, someone knows what's the problem?

  I tried to do my research and on another forum, someone suggested to reinstall or repair the cmd. Is this possible? If so, how? What is the right course of action at all?

  Please if someone could help me to solve this crisis, I would be extremely grateful. Without these bat running files, I can't render my farm runs correctly. Thank you.

• want to know some of the tools in elements

  I am a user of photoshop, but have an older version. I watched may purchase items, but I can't really find any info. some of the tools that I use in the PS, which can be also available in elements. What I am interested in:

  Ability to open and edit Raw files.

  Ability to create layers.

  Apply the blending modes to the layer. What I use most are: overlay, multiply, screen, tinted, soft light, etc..

  Apply different adjustments - in the form of layers - like curves, levels, Hue/Saturation

  Different filters: blur, sharpness, high pass.

  Also, is there a place where I can see the tools/functions available. Of course, the web page of the product is fluid, but I can't seem to find this info.

  There is a demo free 30 days you can and probably should try if you're seriously considering buying PSE. In your list, it's all in PSE, but the raw converter of PSE has all of the features in Psalm he only has the basic and details tabs, and on the calibration tab you can not change the profiles - choose only among those preloaded.   This morning when I woke up my computer in a few minutes the computer froze and when I restarted manually a function all on its own when in the start of the screen, he began to run something that said:

  Widnows wil now check the disk.
  CHKDSK checks the files, security index descritions, usn journal
  data file, free space... and it is still ongoing.

• Spot Healing Brush strangely acting as a cloning tool

  I removed the text in the speech bubble below, then I applied the Spot Healing Brush to remove the character surplus lines.  Bubble's pink gradient background color, and that's what I expected to see after my request for spot Healing Brush, not weird images from body of the Lady.

  I realized there is a fair amount of reading, then this should provide a brief summary:
  ORA-02291 thrown when parent key does exist
  -Sequence of jump from 1 to 21. After some modifications, now spends 1-3. Should only increment 1.
  -Who is responsible for the 02291?
  -Tables PHOTOS and PIC_INFO exist
  -PHOTOS has PIC_ID (NUMBER) and IMAGE (BLOB) fields
  -PIC_INFO has fields PIC_ID (NUMBER), PIC_LOC (VARCHAR2), PIC_COORDS (VARCHAR2), PIC_PEOPLE (VARCHAR2), PIC_TAGS (VARCHAR2), PIC_DESC (VARCHAR2).
  -Foreign key exists on the PHOTOS that connects the two PIC_IDS in a one-to-one relationship
  -Line PIC_INFO must exist before PICTURES can be inserted

  I'm working on a small project with JDeveloper, Flex and Oracle Database XE.
  
  The Flex part is a small program for entering contact information and other information about an image. The image is then transferred via Flex in the XE database.
  
  Unfortunately, the part of download does not work. The FileUpload servlet is to throw an AppSetRollBackOnlyException exception and said that there is a constraint violation. The relevant tables are arranged as follows:
  
  Table PHOTO: fields IMAGE (BLOB) and PIC_ID (NUMBER)
  Table PIC_INFO: fields PIC_ID (NUMBER), PIC_LOC (VARCHAR2), PIC_COORDS (VARCHAR2), PIC_PEOPLE (VARCHAR2), PIC_TAGS (VARCHAR2) and PIC_DESC (VARCHAR2).
  
  A foreign key relationship between the two fields PIC_ID. For both tables, PIC_ID is the primary key.
  
  Now, which seems to be the question is that the sequence of the IMAGES table is strange. I set the increment to 1 value and start value to 1. Previously, it would automatically change the value of starting at 21 after trying to insert a record. Now, after disabling the cache and check the option to order, it goes to 3. Unfortunately, this means that the record is not inserted because it doesn't have a matching record in the table PIC_INFO.
  
  I'm tired, trying to understand why this happens. The research I've done have not turned upward to something useful.

• get some strange characters for graphics (after upgrade)

  Instead of graphic characters/symbols related to the navigation (as + - > < etc) I see hexadecimal numbers in small boxes. I have highlighted them in an example on the attached photo. It appears only on zillow.com (so far). I've recently updated to Firefox (many versions to jump) and went through a lot of obstacles to get Visual search the way I liked (e.g. the legacy/classic). No doubt these hoops, extensions and 10 year profile and liked are linked, but no idea where to start looking? I disabled hdwe acceleration but no difference. Also, I have switched to Unicode/Western, no diff.

  These boxes to identify a character that Firefox cannot find in the font he uses.

  The most common reason for this is that if you turn off the setting that allows the sites to choose their own fonts. You can check here:

  "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > content > button "Advanced".

  The 'Allow pages to choose their own fonts' check box must be checked

  A few other less frequent causes for this:

  • Disabled downloads of fonts in all: config
  • NoScript extension blocking police downloads

  I have a valid license for Acrobat Reader DC. Yesterday I updated the software - as suggested - and many tools today disappeared. That's happened?

  Hi rimesa,

  Acrobat Reader & Acrobat Pro continuous are two different applications. I guess you open Acrobat Reader DC. Please open Acrobat Pro DC to have access to all the tools in Acrobat.

• Some of the tools have disappeared from my toolbar in PS CC.  How can I get back them?  I burn but dodge has disappeared.

  Deeper levels of tools have all disappeared from my toolbar.  By clicking the arrow next to the tool does nothing?  How to make a comeback?  I restarted my computer and Photoshop, and it does not help.  Thank you.

  Try 'Reset all' with the right button on the hand in the Options bar tool, or whatever tool is active and click on reset all tools in the menu.

• Impossible to click on some of the tools - their selection.

  I use Indesign CS3 and can't click on tool Selection or direct selection. Also when I selected text and go to edit, I can't click on the police or any other attribute to modify. I am able to use the shortcut key A and V to select, but can not select them physically. It's very frustrating. I uninstalled and reinstalled, I used the cleanscript, I deleted the preferences, I got a new installation cd (thinking it was the original cd) and tonight I finally cracked and erased from my hard drive and reinstalled the operating system... still does not work.   I am running a Dell Studio 1737, Windows Vista, 32-bit, 4 GB of Ram, Intel Core Duo CPU T6400 @ 2.00 GHz, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 graphics card.

  Can you turn on the laptop with AC adapter only?
  If so, then it means that your adapter is OK.
  In this case, I would try new battery.

• Skype is strange acting

  Then I signed this morning on my desk and open Skype as I normally always like every other morning. However, the program crashed and made me restart. The next thing I know, is that everything is weird.

  I was talking to one of my friends via our chat and there were several things that have happened that have extremely frustrated me.
  -J' open Skype when I received the message but when I saw that the message would not disappear until I answered. Is the same for other groups that I normally don't answer.
  -Their messages appeared above the mine when they you respond to my last post. Normally just like any cat he should appear below and he always does this.

  I tried to restart my office so much also to restart Skype but the problem does not resolve itself and it's extremely frustrating. It was working fine last night and now all of a sudden does not this 'thing'.

  Please help because it is do the things I normally would at this time.

  It is a well known bug in the latest version of Skype 7.17.

  Uninstall this version and install the older version of Skype 7.16.0.102 using this Setup program:
