Some values of time zone

Hi all

How can I get the valleys of a spindle time, GMT, UST, currently I can read the time zone with

Zone area [] = TimeZoneUtilities.getAvailableTimeZones (); This returns the value as Pacific/Honolulu...

The values of short and long is the short value is: Hawaii (-10)
value of long type isGMT-10:00) Hawaii

I need only 3 letter given, how to get it.

I had a similar problem, as the values of the BB API have not been accepted by Exchange.
It was a pretty boring job mapping (manually)!

    Hi Dibo79,

I suggest you follow the steps listed in the article. Steps 5 and 6 are specific to how to change the time zone setting in Windows.

  • Time zone stored values and change the time zone database

When I change time zone database, the values of 'timestamp with time zone' of column stored automatically will change, or they will keep the time zone, they have been stored in form.

    TIMESTAMPWITHTIME ZONE includes these fields:

    • TIMEZONE_HOUR
    • TIMEZONE_MINUTE
    • TIMEZONE_REGION
    • TIMEZONE_ABBR

Therefore, Therefore, Therefore, Therefore, TIMESTAMP WITH TIME ZONE is database timezone independent. It is TIMESTAMP WITH LOCAL TIME ZONE that is database timezone dependent, therefore database timezone can't be changed if it has any TIMESTAMP WITH LOCAL TIME ZONE columns which contain data.

    Hello

I have a question about the localTimeStamp function. According to the documentation for this function is
the same thing as current_TimeStamp except that the returned value does not include the time zone.

    Consider the following example:

    SQL > create table tmptab (colval timestamp with time zone not null);

    Table created.

    SQL > insert into tmptab (colval) values (localTimeStamp);

    1 line of creation.

    Thanks in advance,

    Then, when you do

    create table t (neck DATE);

    Insert into t (to_date ('1st January 2014', ' mon-dd-yyyy "");)

Are you surprised that it works? After all a DATE column contains a time component, you do not provide: but he

works and gives you 00:00:00 as the component "hour".

Similarly, the timezone component is being developed to automatically with, I think, time zone of your system.

  • See if specified that time zone is in the DST. Someone at - it have?

Wanted to check and see if it has already done.

With the time in hour UTC and the time zone users, does anyone have a good function already created to see if its in DST.  I know is the second Sunday in March and the first Sunday of November is back.

or maybe the CVI has one built in I can't find.  Whatever it is, it would be hard to do, but don't know a good way to understand some days of the week to a month.

According to the description of Microsoft Help for their mktime() function, you can fill in a tm to the desired date of test structure, but first the tm_isdst field definition a negative value. This will force the function to calculate the correct value for the field - in other words he then will tell you if the DST was in effect on that date.

I don't know if it's a standard ANSI behavior for this function, but it should be easy enough for you to test.

  • How is it updated managed with JPG files created in a zone time and copied on a PC in another time zone?

I took a picture in France 5 / 31 at 13:45. The unit was set to the time European (France).  That evening, I copied the file to the SD card for my laptop that has been arrived at the normal time of the Center. When I looked at the Date modified time stamp it shows 5/31 at 06:45. It was the exact time that the image was created in France by using the CST. Why? How Vista handles this area in this case, and how he knew the zone I was in that?

    Hello Mike,.

There's no magic here, if I can understand how it may seem so.  Hard drives now use the NTFS file system, which stores all dates and times in universal time coordinated (UTC), formerly GMT.  When you view the file information, Vista applies the time zone selected by the user to correct the UTC value in local time before posting.  Some electronic devices also store files in UTC format, and of course your camera is one of these.

  • U410 - cannot connect after Windows Update after restore factory when the time zone is not UTC-8.

    Steps to reproduce the error:

1 use OneKey recovery to restore the initial factory settings.

    2. on the initial setup of Windows screen, select a time zone to UTC - 8, UTC (London)

    3. connect to Windows, open the Windows Update control panel and click on "Install updates"

4 restart the computer to complete the update.

    5. on the login screen, try to connect or shutdown the computer.

    Result:

Computer is blocked with the only desktop wallpaper and mouse pointer visible. Does not meet all the keys. By pressing the power button sleep machine. Press again on he wakes the machine in the blocked State.

I have reproduced this problem 3 times for initial help restore every time.

    Wordaround:

Before starting the factory restore processes, set the clock of system by 24 hours. After the end of the restoration of the factory, set the system clock to the correct time.

Otherwise, wait 24 hours between a factory reset and try to install the Windows updates.

    Analysis:

This problem is caused because of the way that Windows stores time. It assumes that the system clock is set to local time rather than UTC. When you use the OneKey recovery system he doesn't know what time zone of the system clock is set on, and so it assumes that it is set to UTC - 8. If it is in fact the UTC value, OneKey Recovery creates files with a time stamp of 8 hours in the future. This causes the Windows Update to fail.

One step that I forgot to mention, that may be important:

After the installation of the plant, during the initial configuration screens, I updated the time zone GMT London.

Since the OneKey recovery uses GMT - 8, this can cause some files to have a timestamp of 8 hours in the future. Maybe if I waited 8 hours before the update of this problem would not occur. I'll test this by setting the clock system for 1 week in the past, make reset factory and then it retroactively to the correct date before the update.

EDIT: Test successfully. This workaround works.

  • Time zone in Javascript conversions

I've gone through some of the previous posts on the issue of time zone conversions, but I was hoping someone could reduce it to someone not as familiar with Javascript.

My task is to create a form that will calculate hourly pay for a business trip. I have written code to calculate the hours between the hours of departure and arrival. The question that I have is to make the form more user-friendly, I have a drop down menu of all major cities with zones that the user will be able to choose because most of the routes are local time which facilitates travel on difficult zones. I want to write code that automatically set both (internal and not visible to the user) to the hour UTC or GMT, based on the time and the time zone entry, will do the calculations that I created in the script, I've already written and then display the number of hours. As you can see, I plan in my head, but I'm not sure how to put it to 'paper '.

I only need help with time zones, because I'm over my head, but I don't need someone to write the code for me just if all goes well will explain how can I implement these tools in an existing program that will calculate the hours between the departure and arrival without compensation in time zones. I have a feeling that I will need to use the Olson database and possible GeoNames or Earthtools.

    Olson database

    http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/zoneinfo

    http://www.Twinsun.com/TZ/TZ-link.htm

    GeoNames

    http://www.GeoNames.org/export/Web-services.html#timezone

    Earthtools

    http://www.earthtools.org/webservices.htm#timezone

I'm not sure but maybe if you were to set the offset of the time zone for the items in your drop down list you can then use this value to correct the UTC or GMT or other. Then on the link for your DOF tab, you must set the values under specify point values, so you have, use the boundItem() method to retrieve the offset value.

It's just off the top of my head, I'm not sure I would try to write something like myself!

Not sure that this is possible. Quartz Scheduler uses the time / date of the machine it is installed on. Is so for SOA suite is not installed on a PC that is on EST then make the settings manually.

In the case of summer time, when you implement the quartz Scheduler it allows you to make changes on the fly in the console. You have to bounce the server however.

  • When moving in different time zones, how to keep timely events?

When I put an event in PST at the exact time in which it will happen and then change the time zone, the event moves to another time. I have not shot time zones. Some events move and others keep time. How can I get all the events to keep time?

Events are created in the time zone that the Mac is currently defined in support of regardless of the time zone setting. When you change the time zone of the Mac, the events will appear to change the time since they will now display the event in the current time zone.

    Allowing the use of zone:

    • Adds a dropdown in the toolbar menu. You use the menu to change the time zone in which include all events. For example, an event for 12:00 Pacific time is shown at 7: 00 GMT.
    • Also allows you to set the time zone for each event. For example, if you set an event at 7: 00 GMT and then choose Pacific Time in the drop-down list in the toolbar, this event is posted at 12:00
  • AirPort Extreme - set time zone

    Greetings:

I have seen a lot of traffic on the change of the parameter of time zone in an AirPort Extreme, but I can't find an answer.  It seems that it may be impossible.  There is debate if even a hard reset of the device clears the set time zone and allow it to be reset.  It also seems to be no access to the device to terminal implemented a manual correction.

I left US mountain for the Eastern US time zone time zone.  I have an AirPort Extreme running firmware version 7.6.7 and use version 6.3.6 AirPort Utility.  My AirPort Extreme needs to operate in bridge, because of the way the Internet is provided by our service.  I use the 'access control Timed"to limit the time that my young children are able to access the Internet.

It should be a simple matter to define the time zone of my AirPort Extreme to my current location (or so it should automatically and reliably).  I don't know if the bridge mode interferes with the ability of the device to find its time zone.

Can anyone offer advice (other than to apply an offset from my control access timed two hours time difference)?  Can the Genius Bar at my local store to fix?

    Thank you in advance,

    WILX

Unfortunately, Apple has removed a number of parameters that they feel that the users do not need. Setting the time is one of them.

Finally, your airport will have the exact time, but it usually takes about 6 weeks for that to happen.  Until then, you will need to manually adjust the access delay settings to compensate for.  When the time of the correction is made, then you have to adjust again timed access.

We have seen some reports from users who claim that resetting the airport to return to the default settings and then setting them up again will fix the issue of the time, but it has not always worked when I tried it.

If the 'genius' can solve this problem quickly, then he won the title.

  • change time zone

I recently moved to Europe with my Airport extreme router.  I had it set to the time zone IS in the USA.  Yesterday, I put the schedule on the network to block WIFI durning the night time.  We are 6 hours in front of the USA (EST).  Thus, the WIFI didn't work all morning, and at 12:00, it launched on!  Not what I wanted.  I had initially put down to 22:00 and turn it back on at 06:00.  It must have exploded about six hours later and did not come until noon.  I fixed it by setting my time of 6 hours.  I can't find a way to update my Airport Extreme and set the time to a correct time, or update the correct time zone.  Will this be updated one day and then leave me with the bad weather again?

I read that you used to be able to set the time or the time zone, but some update in the past has changed, and it is no longer possible.  So, what do you do if you move to a new time zone?  I know that it probably affects a small amount of users.  Is it possible to see what the time is actually set on the Airport Extreme?  I'm still scratching my head about it.  I appreciate all help.

    SrMac777

Will this be updated one day and then leave me with the bad weather again?

Yes, it will be.  6-8 weeks or so is about average for AirPort Extreme know where it really is.  The Apple servers automatically updated things... no controls for this user.

If your Mac has right now, some users have reported that the reset of the router airport back to settings by default and then set up again has updated the time parameters for them. This has never worked when I tried well.
