someone has problems trying to change home page

I'm on 10.11.3 on my mac pro book and now can't go back to my homepage to google. IT is by default in the apple page, and when I go to safari preferences and I click on it it goes nowhere.

First get the desired home page by typing the name. When you have the good home page follow these steps:

Go to Safari / Preferences. Home page: displays the Google link. Click "Set to current Page."

  • I want to try Ubunta as my operating system. Someone has already tried this and how is it?

    I want to try Ubunta as my operating system. Someone has already tried this and how is it?

    If you want to try, there are various options partitions for you. One is to download the files and bvurn on a CD. Boot from the CD and choose to run Ubuntu from the CD. This method does not offer a realistic experience, but it allows you to try the look-and-feel.

    Alternatively, you can install the virtualization software (Sun Virtual Box, for example) and install Ubuntu to.

    Download files and check options here:

    Do a Bing or Google search on 'install Ubuntu after Windows' for other information, including tutorials.

  • Parameter "browser.startup.homepage" during install lock keep any user has changed home pages?

    When I put the page using the pref, using the common method of 'mozilla.cfg', any time that a user tries to set the home page, it does not record. Instead, it is up to the page defined by the pref. I can see in the file of pref users it is correctly written, however once that Firefox is completely rebooted, it resets that both Firefox options and the user prefs file. Behavior is expected or is it a problem that someone else has encountered?

    Thanks for your help, but that still does not solve the problem. What I ended up doing is to edit the browserconfig.properties file located in the folder omni.ja\chrome\en-US\locale\branding\ and then copying that down to the local path. All my other changes made in the Mozilla.cfg file work without problem.

  • Cannot change home page - home page is locked to Google

    My Firefox home page is locked to Google, and I can't change it. The area where I should be able to change in the 'Options' has 'Mozilla Firefox Start Page' gray - I can't delete or enter information. I ran spyware scans and tried different remedies, but nothing helped.

    I tried all sorts of remedies, but I remain locked.

    If you do not keep the changes after a reboot or have problems with preferences, see:

    You can check the browser.startup.homepage pref on the topic: config page.

  • Windows Update changes home page

    I have VISTA. My Yahoo is my home page. 2 days ago, that the pg suddenly changed while I was away from the computer. The menu file/Edit/View/favourites at the top of the pg bar disappeared. My Yahoo logo, who was also at the top of the pg that I used to open additional windows have also disappeared. I tried to find help on Google, other sites. Only info I found indicated that Internet Explorer 7 now hide this menu bar. I don't know how to find out what version of IE I have.

    I managed to get the back bar menu (no idea or how I did in fact). The logo of Yahoo, I used to open windows to the addl is still missing. The homepage has now 2 gold stars above the pg who will open a list of favorites to the left of the pg that I don't like because then there's no room to see the rt page. I find the Windows constant updates of the circumstances aggravating and annoying & sometimes Cancel when the window appears. I don't know if this problem was a result of an update or not, since I wasn't on the computer at the same time.

    loricherokee, it seems that you have updated your browser to a newer version, it is a very important and not beneficial because it gives you a stable and more secure application for your internet browsing. You might have had a Yahoo toolbar program installed and that's what you're like the yahoo logo, referring to East - this exact? If so, you can go on yahoo and acquire again.

    For the menu bar, simply press the ALT on your keyboard to see. You can then use the Favorites option which is similar to your old way (I assume you were using before IE6), or you can always together favorite button to close the column which is located on the left.

    To set your home page you can click on tools, Options and in the general, either type the link to your home page or click use current to set the page your on your homepage.

    Please visit the following page for more information on Internet Explorer 7, click Take a Tour on the right.

  • New FF26 facility will not change home page help

    I bought a new computer HP Windows 7 Pro, 3 GHz, 4 GB of DDR3 Ram, 500 GB WD HD and I have installed FF26. It does not change the default homepage to mine, it always shows two tabs loaded with the Mozilla FF Start Page. I edited the subject: config and it has no effect on the page loaded at launch. I uninstalled and reinstalled FF26 and which had no effect. I need help to get this problem solved, please.

    Some security and utility software has a "browser protection", protection of the home page"or the functionality of"surf protection"that protects you against changes made to the settings of your browser. And you cannot change them yourself. Could check you this option in avast!, Advanced SystemCare (if you have one) and any other software that could be keeping an eye on your system?

  • long time to load and cannot change home page

    I live in France and my ISP is Orange. I have a LIVEBOX 2 and have used Orange for the last year and a half.

    Until a few days ago, Forefox only took about 10 seconds to load on my home page which was www.google.co.uk

    A few days ago, Firefox took about a minute to load and the homepage has changed the home/French Orange portal page.
    If I try to restore the home page Google, always default to the Orange portal at each start from the top.

    I tried to download the browser add-on Protect 1.1.3 but this does not affect either. I have also restarted Firefox with disabled modules, and again, this has no effect.

  • still can not change home page

    I've repeatedly tried to change the homepage, it keeps going back to yahoo, I looked for alternatives, but none of them doesn't seem to actually work some of the mentioned files as *.js files do not even exist on my system

    I promised an update and it's here. I tried all of the solutions posted and none really worked. Once a day or two of Yahoo's back, despite the resets, malware scans... disabling add-ons, etc. So finally, I copied my passwords for connection saved in a .docx on my desk and then uninstalled FF... went to regedit and delete all references to FF and Yahoo he could find, rebooted my PC and reinstalled FF.
    It has been more than a week with no problem and no Yahoo. So for now it is resolved. I hope this helps.

    The home page is the page where your application is land once the connection. Usually, it's the 101 page and there is a login process where you need to change the page number:

    BEGIN
       wwv_flow_custom_auth_std.login
                            (p_uname           => v ('P101_USERNAME'),
                             p_password        => :p101_password,
                             p_session_id      => v ('APP_SESSION'),
                             p_flow_page       =>    :app_id
                                                  || ':'
                                                  || 1
                            );
    END;

    change your page number in that you ever need (1-2)

    ...
                             p_flow_page       =>    :app_id
                                                  || ':'

  • only pages html not recorded in history. also cannot change home page

    The last time that Firefox actually saved a html page in history was May 16. Firefox will not save the pages I visit that are not html pages, a page ending in jpg, .doc, .pdf, etc..

    I tried several time messing around with the options - picking don't remember history, and then restart and selecting remember history.

    I uninstalled Firefox, but retained the personal data. Then I reinstalled. Still did not work.

    I then used the reset FireFox. It only made things worse. Now, I can not change the homepage.

    It's 22 Firefox beta on 64-bit Windows 8 Pro

    OK - crazy - but now that I have worked on the issue of the home and goes to a page which was not in the drop-down list - I restarted FireFox and now is to remember the story correctly. However, all my ancient history has been deleted - it looks like all, it will be deleted. I no it was not deleted.

    The only other change that's happened when I restarted FireFox, this last time was the update of the Adobe Application updated itself and also updated Adobe Camera Raw.

    In any case, it seems to work now - it's great!
