  First of all, if you have the menu bar show. (File-Edit-View-History-Bookmarks-Tools-Help), then you won't see the orange FireFox button because in the new version of FireFox button replaces the menu bar.   Take a look at http://kb.vmware.com/kb/2032746 which describes this problem. You should also see what file is causing the problem when you check vmware.log virtual machine.

  Following the advice on a Wikipedia page to remove a virus 'active security scan', I accidentally deleted a potion of my registry (software?)  Now I can't access any .exe, .lnk, files etc.  I get the message "windows cannot open this file", and then me accesses a page with no software suggested to open the file.  I tried the system restore, but get the same message when I try to open the system restore program.  Any suggestions?

  Looks like some sort of bad 'corruption' in the file.

  Try:

  1 remove all unused items in the library

  2 Save as a new file

  3. open the new file and see if you can copy/duplicate

  If this is not the case, what happens if you select all THE slides and copy?

  If no crash, paste all the slides in a blank project of CP file.

  Otherwise, you can try to export the project underway in XML format, and then import this code XML into a new project... see what happens and how recover you...

  I had already checked for a user.js file before posting and there was no change in name, and then completely delete the prefs.js file did not work.
