• Re-install Sonic record now

  Hello. I had to uninstall Sonic Record now (came bundled with the laptop). A single DVD (recovery DVD supplied with the notebook), so I assume that the software is also on the DVD. The only problem is that I can not understand how to re - install Sonic Record now. I tried to view the Ghost Image and extract the contents, but am being prompted for a password.

  Does anyone know how to do to reinstall the software in recovering from a DVD or a CD, with out front do a full reload. Also how can you find the password for the Ghost Image.

  The laptop is a "Satellite M40'.

  I don't know if this software is on the CD of tools. Please check if you can find it on some additional CD.

• Installed at the factory of VAIO SONIC RECORD Now playing upwards

  VAIO laptop (VGN-T37GP year 2005) Windows XP I did a F10 recovery successfully, but when I downloaded unbuntu exe then, I wanted to save ubuntu exe for Vaio hardrive. The only option given to me to do so is through Sonic Record now, I wasn't expecting, I thought that Ubuntu just exe.setup would save my download folder and I would double click on it from there. I was wondering why my laptop Vaio (VGN-T37GP year 2005) never gave me this opportunity (to save thanks to Sonic Record now)? My laptop fell asleep cause I left the laptop that the file was so big and I have to do something, when I came back I assumed that unbuntu downloaded completely. As you can see on my other post on Sonic Record now does not recognize my CD/DVD discs in the drive, it gives me a hard time.

• Equium A100-147: record now and Roxio can't find Recorder

  Equium A100-147 with Sonic, 'Save now' 7 worm, using gives 'NO recorder' and can not find the drive. If no records. I checked the box 'Save' in the properties for the drive but no joy. Also I tried Roxio software but it was also unable to find the drive.

  All of the suggestions.

  Please check in Device Manager if the cd/dvd drive is correctly recognized.
  Additional if you can find the drive in the Device Manager, you could try to remove it and restart the laptop.
  After restarting the laptop should recognize the device again.
  Then you should check the functionality of the drive.

  In my opinion, some registry entries are corrupted.

• Equium A100-147: Sonic recorder blocked under Vista

  I am told that sonic recorder is blocked due to a driver issue.
  There is no way to cure this other than the upgrade I don't want to do.
  The thing is I got rid of the sound recorder help adding / deleting thing, but I still get the message of blocked driver. I've got rid of everything to do with
  Sonic, including in the registry.

  There are still two programs in the list adding / deleting, but I can't just get rid of them. One of the programs is called "sonic coders" and I said I need a disc.
  I never had a drive and he took a left when I
  went from xp to vista. The other program is called "sonic DLA" and will simply not respond after I click on uninstall.
  Although he does not seem to have any obvious effect on the performance of the pc, it's a real pain having the message there all the time.
  Anyone got any ideas what to do?

• Tecra A7: After using Record now does not close properly

  I have a problem with recordnow software on my new laptop Tecra A7. It does not close after that I have to burn a CD/DVD (recordnow.exe still appears in the Task Manager). It closes correctly when I open only and nothing is burned. The main problem is that I can't access my DVD - RAM drive until the recordnow.exe is closed by the Manager tasks. I tried to reinstall the recordnow software but it does not solve the problem.

• Satellite M45-S169 - Sonic v.7.31 cannot burn DVDs more

  I am using a v.7.31 Sonic Record now prepackaged on my Satellite M45-S169 for three years now.
  I was able to copy DVDs using this software.
  Until recently, it burns more.

  What's most frustrating is that space of memory on a blank dvd just exhausted once I try to burn dvd on cd files.

  Have you tried to delete upper and lower filters in the registry of the Windows operating system?
  Isn't it? Try this:
  Completely remove the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters from the following registry key values:
  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

  Also I would not recommend trying the other and different discs (CD and DVD) from different manufacturers.
  But of course it could also be a hardware problem. I mean the discs of the laser lens has stopped working properly due to mechanical stress.

  If you use an operating system preinstalled Toshiba then the Sonic Record Now! Basic application must be installed on the laptop.
  This software is capable of burning CDs and DVDS.

  But maybe you want to use another application of part 3? Been to Nero?
  This is a very nice program, and it allows you to burn different types of media.
  For example it allows you to burn and create video or audio CDs.

  It s my favorite.

  Can you please write your serial number complete model (e.g. satellite a60 - xxx).

  In any case if you have new laptop it must be almost all preinstallation and your DVD Multi driver should work fine. As far as I know on your laptop is preinstalled burn program called SONIC RECORD NOW.
  You can also use another burning software. In this case, my suggestion is to uninstall the Sonic Software. It is possible that there are some conflicts if there are two applications.

  If you want to backup your data on DVD - RAM you don t need any software. Record does not now support writing DVD-RAM discs. DVD - RAM is like HARD drive. Put Virgin DVD-RAM in your drive, wait a second and copy your data on it. To record data on a DVD-RAM, open Explorer. Do not use of cut-and - paste. If there is some clerical error, the data will be lost.

  If you want to remove your data go to START > programs > DVD-RAM and there is utility that allows you to remove all data from DVD - RAM.

  Lots of useful information, you can find in the user s manual. It must be installed on your machine.

  The satellite was delivered with the DVD-CDRW combo drive.
  According to the information, you can't burn it to DVD.

  Each Toshiba laptop was delivered with the burning software like drag - drop or a Sonic Record Now.
  I use Nero. It s a great application and I m very happy.

  My TECRA A3-152 offers the CARPET * a DVD-RAM UJ - 831S player (1.40 firmware version) with the Microsoft (dated the 1.07.2001) 5.1.2535.0 driver
  The laptop is not able to read the CD - R or CD - RW engraved with any other PC (or alone). The CD is reported as empty.

  However, the reader is able to read commercial CD - R with SW or sounds or other stuff.
  After several hypotheses about the SW problems or compatibility issues, I intend to replace the drive with another.

  Any suggestion?

  Maybe it s only a problem of compatibility. In my experience not on each CD or DVD is compatible. I mean that not every CD manufacturing is supported by the firmware and so this question might appear.

  But let's try some common tips.
  First of all, I would recommend delete Sonic record now and the DLA.
  Then restart the computer and enter the registry.

  1. in the registry editor, expand my computer, and then expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
  2. expand SYSTEM, and then expand CurrentControlSet.
  3. expand Control and class.
  4. under category, click on {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}.
  5. in the right pane (topic area), click UpperFilters and delete. Click then click LowerFilters and delete is also.
  6. click on Yes to confirm the deletion.

  After this procedure, restart the laptop and try to read the CD

• DVD UJ820s problems burning

  HI, I got my A60 for almost 2 years, it is covered by the extended warranty from PC World. I receive the error message when burning DVDs. With Sonic Record now it tells me that the disc is dirty or scratched, even when you use the new tape drives. I tried to use different brand names. With another shareware program, I said that there is an error with the power calibration area (1048).

  The drive is a uj820s. The error occurs regardless of whether if I use + or - disks. However, the CD burning ok.

  PC world have replaced the DVD Player 2 times and I'm just starting again with the same problem. It seems that a new drive is not the problem.

  The files I'm burning are no single type. They really are AVI, mp3s, JPEG, TIFF, all types of files.

  Any ideas?

  You have really no chance with the reader so twice traded in just two years. Do you use it intensely?

  I put t really know what the problem is here because I read many other forums where users report same topic on different laptops with different readers. Of course, it is not portable or player involved.

  My suggestion is to track:
  (1) remove all the pre-installed burning applications restart the device
  (2) remove the restart Device Manager CD/DVD reader unit
  (3) install Nero burning software (a really good)
  (4) forward:
  -Start > Control Panel > administrative tools > services > IMAPI CD-Burning COM service properties
  -under set to disabled startup type.
  (5) try to create a DVD-R and DVD - RW support using the minimum burn speed
  (6) please let know us if you can clear or full format of DVD - RW media
  (7) use different media on minimum burning speed

  I must say that I am really lucky. I have my unit almost 3 years and the CD/DVD works like the first day.

• Satellite M30X and Mat * a dvd - ram uj-8205 burning problems

  I have Satellite M30x and Mat * one year dvd - ram uj-8205. On the beginning everythinks worked very well, but in the last months of 2-3 that it cannot reads some CD and have problems with CD burning
  I restarted the laptop with the recovery cd, but still the same problems. Before robooting, I used nero 6, thougth perhaps, this is the problem in nero, now using just Sonic record now accompanies the DVD.

  How to help you if you don't mention what CD cannot be burned (original music CD, homes burned CDs, just specific producers, only some files are not readable). Give us more info on this issue.

  Check a little better, and if there is no success is perhaps the defective drive. It is well known that some CD (a cheaper) cannot be burned properly.

• How can I copy DVDs on the HDD on Equium A60-155

  Anyone know if I can copy DVDs to the hard drive?
  I have an Equium A60-155 and Sonic Record now and Intervideo winDVD creator on it.

  These two programs say that they allow me to copy to a blank disc, but don not say if I can copy on the hard disk.

  sure, why not. Go to Explorer windows and do copy - paste, which should make the thing.

  Otherwise, there should be a few good programs like "Isobuster" that can do almost the same thing...

• Equium M-50-216. CD/DVD burning problems

  Hello.

  I recently bought the Equium M50. Now, I can't for the life of burn me to CD / DVD.

  Initially, I put this the fact that the service IMAPI CD Burning Com has been disabled. I started and put in place tp start automatically then rebooted the machine.

  However, I can not YET write with this drive. It reads and plays CD and DVD very well, but WILL not write.

  If I slip and fall explore it tells me that the disk is not accessible, and iTunes launches just the disc from the drive.

  I tried several types of CD DVD would be too much...

  Now, like many of you guys I HATE when computers try to tell me I can't do something!

  Is this a problem that someone met before? I tried to browse the forum but you can't really see too that helps.

  Believe me, I won't tell you that you can't do something, but I really do not understand that you have this kind of problems with the new unit. When you start the machine for the first time that the unit of factory settings and hardware configuration is optimized.

  Toshiba recovery image include SONIC record now software that allows you to create CDs and DVDs. You can remove and install the clean burning as NERO software and it works well. I have gift? t know what you do with your unit and why you do experiments with IMAPI-Service.

  I just recommend you to check the data of the value. There must be C:\WINDOWS\System32\imapi.exe

  If this does not please recover unit with supplied recovery media and enjoy life.
