Sony TRV 280 iLink troubleshooting

When I try to download video files from the band from Handycam to my laptop that is running Windows Vista, I get no error of compatible device. The pop-up window appears on the computer screen asking which program to use when I turn on the camera, but then I get the error. I can't work either as a webcam. In the control panel Device Manager, the camera is listed as an imaging device and shows no problem. Check the device driver shows as current.

Hello

I suggest to uninstall and install the latest Windows Vista drivers for your site Web form Sony Handy cam and check if it works.

    Hello Sajid,

The community here is about the countries United States, Canada and Asia-Pacific. Your DCR-TRV356E model is a model British camcorder.

    However, to answer your question,.

The DCR-TRV356E USB streaming function is not compatible with the operating system Windows Vista and Windows 7. You can connect the camcorder to the computer using the A / V cable connection or using an i.Link cable.

  • Sony DCR-TRV740 camcorder

You will need to transfer loads of old family videotapes of Sony DCR-TRV740 for Dell XPS430 running Vista 32 bit.

Transfer is OK with the older laptop (Dell Inspiron 8500 running XP) using the USB connection.  Can also change (slowly, poor quality) with Windows Moviemaker.

But Sony says no USB driver available for Vista. Sony suggested Firewire iLink from camera to the PC, but the camera is not recognized in the Device Manager and therefore can not transfer them to PC. Tried to import Sony Movie Studio 9 Platinum ProPack and VS Video Recorder software - recognizes neither the camera.

My question - is anyone have solution?

Would upgrading to Windows 7 works? (Professional and ultimate edition both include an XP Mode)... Fees - but who let me use the driver XP Sony? or Firewire?

Get desperate - have spent days on this skin.

You have an analog source and a system that recognizes digital.

If you happen also has a DV camera... the following articles may be the answer.

  • FCPX jump during the import of the band. Analysis of the root causes?

    Dear friends,

I have a camera Sony TRV-900F video connected via FW800 to an iMac late 2009 with 16 GB of RAM, a quad core i7 2.8 and one 1 original to HDD with El Capitan.

When I import one of my miniDV tapes (which are between 2000 and 2012 about and been wound and rewound before capture and which were mainly recorded in one take on new tapes Sony and never reused) FCPX any images in fragments of random size (from a few hundredK to 10-14 MB) and frequently shows loss of images and some audio distortion imported into the timeline and re-read.

Final tried to create archives first and then import, but the result is the same.

What I don't understand, is that, at least apparently, none of these problems of 'corruption' appears if I look/hear the tapes in camcorder Sony itself!

I tried to use iMovie and same fragmentation occurs so I guess it is not related to the SO FCPX itself.

So far, I have received the iMac 1 TB hard drive and now have tried to import on a 128 GB SSD in a USB enclosure (which is USB3, but if I'm not mistaken my iMacs USB ports are USB2). Even to jump occurs.

Maybe I need to configure the SSD in a different way and to define not only as the backup directory for imports?

If the best ideas don't come to mind the next tests I'll make are:

    (a) purchase of a NEW band and try to record and import from it. If it works, this would indicate the older strips are damaged, but it does not explain why they look good in the camera.

    (b) purchase a head cleaning cassette and to use it carefully and see if he would heal playback and import.

    Thanks for your suggestions.

Post edited by: robertfromroma. Added the MacOS version. FCPX is 10.1

Try the import with QuickTime player and see if you get the same results.

  • Cannot save the entry camcorder 8 mm on iMovie 10.1.2

I'm trying to import the old videos from the camcorder into iMovie.

Videos are played on TR33 Sony video 8 mm Handycam (analog) through a Sony TRV 22 Hi portable (digital) 8. This provides the necessary a/d conversion.

See the video and audio correctly in the window of the events at the time of import. However when I stop importing nothing is saved.

As a side note, if I import the single (digital) trv22 video, it seems to work as it breaks the clamps in individual events based on time.

The literature seems to say a widow pop up asking where to store the video should appear when importing. However I don't see that.

Have iMac with El Capitan 10.11.6

    iMovie 10.1.2

This problem appeared in the discussions here and in FCPX. The cause of the lack of registration is due to the lack of timecode that iMovie requires. In switch mode there is no timecode of the TRV 22. The solution is to record the video to Handicap the TRV 22 and then import in iMovie.

  • Where is the firewire port?

Hey everyone: I have a Slimline s3700y yesterday and I would find the firewire port.  Where is he?

    Thank you!

    Hi ccrfan1,

Looks like you have a 1394 port (Apple calls FireWire, Sony callis it iLink, etc...) and it is located at the rear of the machine.  Find a photo of your plate at the bottom of this document.  You want to #4.

Also, what format you capture video / audio?  DV - AVI?

    .

Matt with Grass Valley Canopus in their helpdesk tech said that the 110 model will be sufficient for most amateur. If a person has a lot of bands that often played the band extends and decreases the magnetic coding. If your goal is to encode strips in good shape buy the 110, you can if you will be encoding old poor quality tapes model 300

    .

Both the 110 and 300 are two-way devices, so you can exit back covering... If you do not need this, look at the model 55

  • Setting camera error message

I am video capture from a DV Sony TRV-18 on my desktop hard drive.  I use the first Elements 9 and the Office has a lot of resources (CPU, memory, HARD drive, etc.)  The connection is by firewire.  The software recognizes the camera and has no problem of capture of the material, but with one problem.  Once I selected 'capture' and then 'DV Camcorder", I get a pop up box that says"your current setting is different from your project settings.  Results may not be optimal. "The real parameters seem to be NTSC-AVCHD-AVCHD Lite 720p24.

Can someone tell me why this message, and what to do about it?  I don't want to start to rip those tapes and find out later that it could have been done better.  Thanks in advance.

    It is a miniDV camcorder.

You must use the regular DV project settings - and that the video should work wonderfully in the program!

First part of my tutorials from basic training to the support site of first Elements Muvipx.com show you how to put in place.

  • Black stripes with screen wide source - CS4

I use Premiere CS4 and I have a problem (?) with the release of Media Encoder. The project is PAL widescreen.

I exported the timeline and selected codec "Microsoft AVI". The resulting video shows perfectly in Windows Media Player, 16:9 format. If I play the same avi file in Real player I download video 4:3 letterbox. The same results with any other compression; FLV, f4v, wmv etc.

Also, when I embed a video from flv in Flash (CS4) I always get the result of 4:3 letterbox.

Not sure if it's a problem first or Flash problem.

    Any help appreciated.

    Steve

Note: The original footage was shot on a camcorder Sony TRV-950 in 16:9 mode. Not sure if the black bars top and bottom were recorded by the camcorder and first (and Windows Medi player) recognizes this and cut them. While Flash is not.

What the video looks like in the monitor of the Pr program?

In the export Media dialog box, output tab?
