Hi, I don't use any kind of protection against software spies/virus for about 6 months and have suffered from the consiquenses, I need to do a complete restore of the system on my Sony vaio laptop and then install the new spyware protection that I bought.

If the consequences are that you suffer from malware infection,
It is highly unlikely that system restore will help.

I have 2 problems; 1. I don't have any system restore disc, so I need to do without it.

A disc of "System Restore"? There is no such thing as a "system restore."
disc. You want to reinstall Windows rather than do a system
restoration. If so, please don't mix up the two very different things.

If that's what you want to do, and you do not have a disk to reinstall
Windows, you should contact Sony and ask them for guidance on how to
go ahead. You can have a partition you can reinstall from, or they can
be able to sell you a disc for one low price.

2. I want to keep what I've got on itunes and have no external memory device, but have an iphone and an iPad. I really need to know how I can do both of the above, if someone could help me I would appreciate massivly, thank you.

Sorry, I don't know anything about itunes, iPad or an iPhone and can't stop
with that.

  • How to restore vista 64 bit on sony vaio to factory without backup system disks?

I made a mistake, took my sony vaio vgn-fw265d with windows vista home edition for futureshop to solve problems,

as my recovery disks have been corrupted. they installed windows vista 64-bit, but I've lost factory sitting, now some hardware not

    working as blueray etc.

    Hello

1st thing I would do is to bring your SONY VAIO at Futureshop and get them to fix it properly

    or

Contact sony and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

    http://eSupport.Sony.com/

they do it for a nominal cost of $

also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought

you would normally press F10 or F11 or Alt + F10, 0 at startup to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer

Ask them of the exact key sequence

or borrow a microsoft dvd vista

Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer

they contain all versions of vista

This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed

Save all data, because it will be lost, do the above

If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

My laptop Vaio FZ-430E/B has been does not start. I replaced the hard drive (500 GB SATA) and used my recovery discs - full system restore. I received the following error message: 323: 35. I watch all the sony Web page and internet, I don't know what means this error message.

I ran the Vaio hardware diagnostics: no error

I can't run the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool. I just doesn't work.

  • Cannot restore Note anytime for Sony Vaio

I got the Sony Vaio Duo 11 (SVD11215CDB) with 8 Windows Home edition from a sony store. It was a demonstration unit, so he came already configured as to be ready for use. She had installed the edition notes any time Sony Vaio (as announced on page 11 of the Duo). I was able to use the buttons for the stylus - a single button would choose the other, it would be possible to erase.
Because it was a demo unit, I decided to do a factory reset and start again. After using the partition dedicated to restore the 8 I also put a Windows 8 Pro serial number key to upgrade the machine for the edition of Windows Pro.
It restored very well, all applications including Vaio Care, clip etc - except Note Anytime Vaio edition - Activ seemed ok thinkng I get it from store windows.
I could find the free version of Note at any time on the store of windows, but the stylus buttons are not active. I can only pan with the smaller of the two buttons, forget selection or clear features.
I spoke with one of the technicians of live chat for Sony and he suggested to update software Activ Clip (he gave a link for this) but it does not magically installed the Note at any time for Vaio computers.
What did wrong, how can I re - install this software?
Is it because I installed the free version of Note at any time that I don't have the Vaio edition? Could it happen because I hit my Windows 8 Pro Home edition?
It is worth noting that the Vaio windows Store applications search returns nothing.
All the ideas are really appreciated, thanks in advance!

  • Sony Vaio in operating system not found?

I have a laptop Sony Vaio, model SVE14AJ16L number and I got a new drive hard since the hold had ceased to function. I didn't need all the files on the old drive, so I just jumped out. I installed the new drive, but then did not work the Assist button. I googled this and I couldn't find a solution. I need to install Vaio care, but cannot find the Vaio care for my model number. I needed to install Windows 8, but for some reason it wouldn't detect the DVD or USB. I made the USB drive bootable using rufus and I downloaded an ISO and intended to put the serial number on the bottom of my laptop. It looks like all that operating system not found. I can't go into the BIOS, because that's what the assist button, and it does not detect. The towers of DVD and USB activity led blinked his eyes, but nothing. I don't know what is happening. Even when I took out the hard drive and put in the DVD/USB, it seems still operating system not found. I can't find the model number on this site.

    TL; DR
Installed a new drive, HELP does not, does not detect a bootable USB/DVD, appears only as an operating system not found. I made bootable USB/DVD and tested on other computers.

    Please help, thanks.

Basically, I don't have your system to test, so I'm just guiding you the general procedures.

First of all, FORGET the ASSIST button. To explain the question "why?" would take a lot of time and goals here is to install new windows in your new drive.

Secondly, I highly recommend you have all the necessary drivers for your equipment before your proceed with the windows installation 8 or 8.1. I own VPCSB28GG and Windows 8.1, several functions DO not work properly as it does in Windows 7. So, unless you have a deep knowledge on the computer, do not go for windows 8.1 yet or at least try to install windows 8.1 on a different drive for a test run.

Thirdly, I strongly recommend allows you to install Windows 7 USB stick / 8 / 8.1 since the DVD player is not a reliable source from USB. Microsoft also provides tools to help people installing Windows 7 / USB 8.x. Please google it.

As the symptoms that you have described, I recommend the steps as follows:

    1. go in the BIOS / settings (by pressing F2 during POST) UEFI. Under start options, your system may use a different name, but in principle it is similar to this: '1 ST Boot Device' "2nd Boot Device" "3rd Boot Device"... and so on. The value '1 ST Boot Device' your desire, such as CD-ROM bootable media, DVD-ROM, external USB/HDD. In my case, it is an external device because I use USB boot Windows 7 / 8.x installation. The "2nd Boot Device" in the HARD drive internal value. Drive HARD internal is your disk newly installed (or current).

    2. run the windows installation wizard. During the installation of Windows, your computer may restart several times. However, AFTER THE FIRST USE, you must go to the BIOS / UEFI with once again. The value '1 ST Boot Device' internal HARD drive. If you forget this step, you will encounter a loop of Windows installation. So, I suggest to pay attention pls. After that Windows Setup is complete, you can install drivers for your system. Find it in Support to the Sony Web site. You will need to download the Windows 7 drivers for Windows 8 as Intel Management Engine, components Sony blah blah blah. Please keep in mind, Vaio Care cannot make you suggest.

    3. in the installation of Windows, you won't find your HARD drive to destination of installation. In this case, go to the BIOS / UEFI setting, replace your SATA AHCI by compatible IDE or SATA port configuration. You can later change back to AHCI AFTER installing your SATA driver.

    Hi Johanna,.

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I understand that you can not use the USB in Windows 7.

I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing. I will definitely help you with this

    1. you get any error message?

2 have you tried using different USB ports?

    3. any other USB key works on the computer in question?

    4. do the USB works on any other computer?

5 have had any changes made to the computer before the show?

    Please follow the methods.

    Method 1:

Run the Microsoft fixit for the link.

Hardware devices do not work or are not detected in Windows

    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/hardware_device_problems/en-us

    Method 2:

As all devices have same also have USB device associated drivers. Appropriate sometimes drivers not detected after initial installation so reinstalling the drivers can fix the problems.

You can check after uninstalling and reinstalling USB drivers if you are able to connect. You can disconnect all USB devices and then perform the following steps:

    (a) click Startand then click Control Panel.

    (b) click system and Maintenance, click System, and then click Device Manager.

    (c) Note if the control panel is in Classic view, double-click Systemand then click on Device Manager.

    (d) If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow.

    (e) in Device Manager, double-click to expand the "USB Bus controllers", right click on the controller host, click "Uninstall" and click "OK".
Check that if at all, there is an exclamation point on the pilot, it suggests problems with the installed driver.

    (f) repeat step 2 to uninstall all items under 'USB Bus controllers'.

Then, restart your computer and Windows 7 will automatically reinstall all USB controllers.

We would be more than happy to help you if the steps above did not solve the problem.

  • Sony Vaio suddenly do not recognize the operating system information (sometimes ask my computer to claim it is not authentic) after owning nearly 2 years

I have had my Sony Vaio from January 2011 and I bought from Best Buy with Windows 7 pre-installed. I had no problems with the operating system being true til this summer when my computer wrong not dated and crashed my anti-virus software (screen was blue and the system had a difficult time in commissioning. After much patience and research, I fixed my computer and removed the faulty software. However, sometimes my computer does not recognize my product ID of Windows 7. When I start first my computer, the information is not available and that my computer updates, it will not update as it does not find the correct information. With this, my computer started to warn my that I am victim of counterfeit software. I have no idea where all this comes from and why is - it now say my software may be counterfeit? In the last year and a half, I never had this problem. Also, after a few minutes, my computer cannot find the operating system information and says that it is authentic; which leaves me more confused than ever. Gah. What is happening and what I can do to fix this? (I own the software disc, I got when I bought the computer, but I do not currently have access to it).

I suggest you backup and do a reinstall.

You should consult the documentation supplied with your Sony's Vaio computer on how to reinstall Windows 7. Usually this requires that you start in a recovery environment.

About the judgment issue please check if you are able to stop the laptop in safe mode correctly. If Yes, then we must verify the issue by performing a clean boot. Clean boot will help us understand if the problem is due to third and put into service or services.
