  It is not that I don't like the change, in fact I love it. However, the open tabs and new Windows Open should return to the original format. Of course, there's a fancy transition but it is more annoying than enjoyable. I never complain about things like that, in fact this will be my first ever complaint about a browser, Explorer, I stop, and looks like I'll do it again until they have change the format of this upgrade.   Hi, I'm not familiar with Mac, but I think it should work - it does in Windows: Type Subject: config in the address bar, press ENTER, accept the warning, scroll to browser.preferences.inContent and double-click on it to change the "value" from true to False, taking care to not to change what anyone else. You will then need to restart Firefox.

  I don't really like the look-and-feel of the new pdf.js Viewer. On my machine (6 yr old HP running Windows XP with sp 3) it displays more slowly than Acrobat Reader, and I was perfectly happy with the Acrobat Reader plugin. Frankly, I want to disable pdf.js, but have not been able to find a way to do it. It does not appear anywhere that I could find the Add-ons Manager. I don't want to be forced to use a feature that seems to be a detriment to performance, at least for me. Mozilla, please review this!

  You can set the pref pdfjs.disabled true on the topic: config page to disable the build-in the PDF Viewer and use the Adobe Reader software instead.

  Version 6 is old enough. You skipped a lot of upgrades.

  If you load the updates go you to the version of the upgrade. This is why's called it an upgrade.
  Personally, I stayed at the version 24.6 because of all the problems that versions 31 and to have shown so far. They could be close to those of problems now and when they do I will move to the top.

  If Firefox is ignorant preference browser.newtab.url, the usual culprit is an extension.

  You can open the page in Firefox Add-ons using either:

  • CTRL + SHIFT + a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons
  • in the Windows "Run" dialog box, type or paste
    firefox.exe "about:addons"

  In the left column, click Extensions. Then, in case of doubt, disable (or delete, if possible) not recognized and unwanted extensions. Do not forget that all extensions are optional, none come with Firefox, and you can learn more about them by checking their reviews on the site of the Add - ons.

  Often, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.
