Sorting images manually

How can I sort through photos manually in Windows 8?

I was able to do it with XP, I've since upgraded to 8 and I have still not yet understand how do.

Hello

The Photo app, this is not possible, there is no way to classify them.
However, you may sort them in the mode of Windows desktop as you did in Windows XP, but the photo app does not support this.
Hope that answers your question

  • Sorting images bad photos

    I just got back from a trip and downloaded photos to Photos of two devices (a Sony camera and an iPhone 6) on my Macbook. Having had problems with sorting in the past, I made absolutely sure set the time on my camera before the trip so that it matched my phone; This, I thought, would make sorting by effective date on my computer. However, when I have the mix of photos in an album and select ' View > sort > keep sorted in old first of all, ' my photos usually reorganize in chronological order, but not totally. Many are in disorder, and although I don't see a pattern (again...) it seems that the pictures of the various devices are grouped a little. If I check the file dates (click on the image, command-'i' back the news), I see that the dates, hours, and years are all correct, even if they are supposed to be sorted by date are not.

    I've included screenshots of 3 photos side-by-side after the sort, with visible info. You can see that left most is June 4, in the middle of June 5 and the right to again on June 4. Ideally, they would be sorted to the left, right, middle. Note: the Middle took on the iPhone and the other two were taken with the camera of Sony.

    I assumed that the application must be sort on another date that contain the files, but before I start dragging them manually in the order of the good date, ideas on how to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.

    You was imported from the Middle photo at the same time as the camera of Sony Pictures?  While you were still at the Japan? Or do you you import photos in a different time zone, with the time computer system set to a different time zone.

    Photos will perform the device date as a date in the time zone that is currently set for the hour computer system.

    The photo of the iPhone has an affected site and Photos maybe treated this picture differently. Maybe she had been imported ahead of other photos in my photo stream?

  • Sorting images in folders and collections

    Is there a way I can set a default sort for all images in folders and collections? I have several folders and collections who have become sorted differently from overtime, and I want to give them to all the sort exactly the same way, from time to time.

    You're out of luck. The adjustment type is saved with each file. Unfortunately, you must change manually for each individual file.

  • Sorting files manually in the browser (Vista)

    I am still using Vista. I want to be able to rearrange the files and folders manually in Solution Explorer, I can do with my photo files in Adobe Bridge. How can I do this?

    Unfortunately, you must select a column to sort by - there is no way to have no sort order (for example, what you want).  I do not understand why this option does not exist because it is logical and should be easy to program, but someone else took this decision.  Maybe you can add a column that is the same for all documents in the folder in which case it will sort as it is entered (or that you set up).  For example, if you add the Type to the headers, they can all be text documents, in which case there is no difference between the documents then how implement you will be how it appears and how it will remain (unless you add something other than a text document).  You can use an unused as the 'comments' column and enter the same in each field, and then sort by this column - this would accomplish the same thing (although it is a little more work with each file to add the entry in the column that could be anything as just the letter - it can also work with No entry in column {there is nothing to sort on}) ({, so it does not sort} allows you to save this step - I have not tried, but it's worth a shot).  This means that you will have a unnecressary column in your point of view, but you can reduce the width to almost nothing, so it's not too annoying http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/108665-column-customize.html.  Note that if you use accidentally by another column, you'll never be able to recover your order sorting initial because there is not a sort order 'valid' and clicking on the button would result in the same point of view, since there would be nothing to change - so be careful that you accidentally don't do that.

    Sometimes it sorts by date of admission - sort normally at the top, and then by date of entry after so normal.  This is a bug in the system (that he doesn't keep up with recent entries - curiously, exactly what you want, but it's something random and considered a mistake) and can be corrected by clicking on the button title to use (but that doesn't apply in your case because all entries have the same sort order and I guess you add files in the folder put you the where you want).

    The thing is I think it will apply to all the files of this model which may be more than you want (but you can always clicck on the header of the column you want to sort ot by using on the fly if necessary).  To change all files of a particular to this sort order model, see: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/108665-column-customize.html. as mentioned earlier, for a different reason.

    I hope this helps (although it may be the answer you are looking for).

    Good luck!

  • Sorting images

    How to sort the images by using the star. Whenever I select an image and note the image, it moves the location of the image at the end of the film and I have to look through all the images again to return to the situation in the film strip.

    There is no available coast to stars sort.

    You can filter by side to stars, which is different from sorting. You must use the filter bar to do this.

    The pictures move until the end of the film strip is because you set the sort order on something that causes this, you can change the sort order to the capture date. Use the menu command view-> sort

  • Sorting images in a PSE11 Album

    Hi all

    in PSE9 I could sort a single date of the picure and then moved to photo album. It was very convinient for me. Now I upgraded to PSE11 and I can sort the images in an album or by order date or album. But if I sort by date, I can't use it at the start and only change the locations of unique photos later. If I want to do my own order, I need to start from scratch, using the original order of the album and the engine almost every photo.

    I did not miss anything or is this really just went PSE9 feature?

    I hope that the next version of PES will bring more easy sorting features in albums... alphabetical sorting in particular.

    My solution to be able to start a new order 'custom' one of the default options (new, old, import...) would be:

    -Select the album and use the new order of departure, "the most recent" eg.

    -Then to create a new album (click the sign '+' and fill in the dialog box that appears in the right panel)

    -Select all (Ctrl A) files of the old album and drag them into the newly created album.

    -Choose album, select 'order of the album' and start to move the files.

  • Script to sort Images with/without clipping paths?

    I searched for a while and can not find a script that will sort a folder of images in two new folders that contain images with and without masks. Anyone have or know of a script that will do this for me? I'd be very happy. W7, PS CS5 32 and 64 bit.

    Thanks in advance!

    Andy

    Mark has made the work a lot more on what I have and it would be so worth having an eye on them.

    Mark only your layers to find together scripts?

    The script in its present form should find ways of trimming but not group layers.

    I modified the script to split the files into hasClip, hasPath and noPath of three files.

    #target bridge
     if( BridgeTalk.appName == "bridge" ) {
    clipPaths = MenuElement.create("command", "Sort Clipping Paths", "at the end of Tools","clipping");
    }
    clipPaths.onSelect = function () {
    app.document.deselectAll();
    var thumbs = app.document.getSelection("psd, tif, jpg, eps");
    var noPath = new Folder(app.document.presentationPath+ '/noPath');
    var hasPath = new Folder(app.document.presentationPath+ '/hasPath');
    var hasClip = new Folder(app.document.presentationPath+ '/hasClip');
    if(!noPath.exists)  noPath.create();
    if(!hasClip.exists)  hasClip.create();
    if(!hasPath.exists)  hasPath.create();
    for(var a in thumbs){
    var tempFile = thumbs[a].spec;
    var Path = false;
    var Clip = false;
    tempFile.encoding='BINARY';
    tempFile.open('r');
    var str= tempFile.read();
    tempFile.close();
    var pathTag = '8BIM\x07\xd0';
    var clippingPathTag = '8BIM\x0b\xb7';
    var tagPos =str.match(pathTag);
    if(tagPos){
        Path = true;
        tagPos =str.match(clippingPathTag);
        if(tagPos){
            Clip = true;
            }
    }
    str = null;
    if(!Path) thumbs[a].moveTo(noPath);
    if(Path && Clip)  thumbs[a].moveTo(hasClip);
    if(Path && !Clip) thumbs[a].moveTo(hasPath);
    }
    };

  • LR is more sorting images by capture time

    Good afternoon

    I have been using Adobe Lightroom 2 with Photoshop CS4 without any problems.

    However, recently I got problems with the order in which to store my images is LR.

    I work in Raw and always start LR. From there on, I open my image in Photoshop before making any adjustment and then by saving in 16-bit PSd or Tiff.

    On the first save the format tiff/psd file normally resides in LR - IE next to the original raw and virtual copy. But now, when I come back to changes in Photoshop psd re-recorded file is moved to the beginning of the Lightroom library. The area around the image is darkened and against it, it has a message 2 0' and the phrase 'the photo is part of a stack.

    I don't understand why he did this and I do not voluntarily battery use. I want to just my images on screen, next to each other for ease of use.

    All my photos are sorted by capture time and even if the files in question are the good time he still does not stop Lightroom to place upstairs, out where it should be.

    It is not a huge problem, but it's quite annoying when you have thousands of images in your catalog, and he has never done before. I restored LR for the default settings, but it did make a difference.

    Please can someone help.

    Right-click on an image in the folder or the collection and select stacking. You have the option to expand or collapse the batteries and also the ability to stack automatically during capture . With auto tack stack by capture time , you can select the time range for auto stacking to apply. It sounds like you have battery auto by capture time together. If you do not want to pile up time at all then this set to 0 seconds.

  • How I could have stretched a graphic image manually

    Hi all

    I'm working on InDesign CS4 and I want to set a graphic image that is placed manually.

    Please let me know how we extended a placed graphic image

    Concerning

    Alam

    With the free transform tool. You must also keep shift key while stretching, keep your graphic proportions...

    Or with the selection tool (black arrow) and now the control key (shift to maintain proportions)

  • Sorted bookmarks manually reset after a certain time

    First of all, I use Firefox 50 on a Tumbleweed openSUSE Linux distribution.

    Most of my favorites is located in the bookmarks bar and is arranged in folders whose positions are defined manually. And several bookmarks there are sorted manually as well. They work as promised. But, several bookmarks in some files, mentioned above, jumps to random positions after some time after the sort manually.

    Could someone help me understand the jump back or in the wrong order and solve the problem?

    I already read the apparently related posts here

    Change the formatting and links. Cahacter of hash makes numbered paragraphs. Brackets used for internal links can be short. (Markup may change soon we will migrate to the new software) ~ J99

    Are you possibly using Sync syncing bookmarks because this could be a cause?

    Also some problems with the places.sqlite database can cause Firefox to restore bookmarks automatically from a JSON backup to rebuild places.sqlite.

    For problems with the database places.sqlite (bookmarks and history), you can check in the Firefox profile folder.

  • Sorting images Lightroom problem.

    In an older version (I use now LR and PS CC) I would choose the pictures after I took them, put them in LR. straighten them, correct colors, put them in PS and and they would be in the same order that I took them.  Now they are in a random order.  I looked in the help and he said click the provision button.  I don't know where is the button of the arrangement.  Can you help me.

    Al

    Press T to display the toolbar at the bottom of the screen, where you can select several different sort orders.

    I hope that one of them will be good.

  • How to sort manually after importing?

    I see a lot of sort order options after importation, with the exception of drag autour images manually. Thank you!

    Jeff does not refer to the import process. In the library Module, left, in the folder Panel, or Collection, you must select a folder or a collection, and then you can choose a manual sort order. If you have "All photographs" selected, you can't manually sort.
