Sound distortion in Windows 7 Mixer / Audio

Original title: crackling in w7/64 mixer

I use: mobo Asus P6T WS
8 GB of ram, HARD disk space > 8TB
Windows 7/64
Its M-audio 1010lt card
foobar to playback, asio and ambiophonics taken
Satellite TV is connected
Several disk drives are connected

In the past I had used w7/32, but after two years, some issues developed (computer closing without any failure entry in the log) after several hours of operation.
Not able to solve the problem, no way to know what caused it. Only the message: was released after an unexpected shutdown.

So I decided to do a clean install using the 64-bit version.

Everything works fine, but on the one hand I've ever had bad before in w7/32:

As long as I use the entries and forward through the SPDIF output - without going through the windows mixer, using only controls 1010lt - to the speakers, I have no problem with noise.
As soon as I use any part of the stack of mixer / audio Windows 7, i.e. to process the signal (ambiophonics plug etc) I hear a terrible crackling noise.
The same thing happens when I route the analogue of the sat. receiver (or other signal) at the exit of Warpia USB wireless for remote audio and video, using the windows audio stack.
Routing by foobar in asio - no problem, but get involved - windows chaos.

As I said before: never a problem with windows 7/32.

I checked different sites about windows, but their problems concern interaction soundcard w / w7/64, while in my case, the sound card works well on its own, it is routing which is damn windows.

Any ideas? (btw - latency isn't a problem, and once from time to time the sound clears up for a few seconds, only to again distort. I wanted to use some windows of routing for the treatment of the sound)

Hello
I still use Windows Security Essentials only, I'm sure that the machine does not suffer from virus associated problems - I download updates only driver on this machine, which I use as a media player and little else.
Audio is however still the problem in the mixer windows 7, so I always have to get around any treatment that involves this part of W7/64.

Thanks you for the link, I'll check it.

However I discovered that one of the problems with the unexpected stops might have been linked to the internal wiring. This machine is build self, and the problem occurred suddenly a few weeks ago.

Manual restart would work sometimes, other times that the machine would start, close to infinity... I opened the lid and shake the wires connected to the p/s card suddenly leaves the stable machine start-up. All unplugged, checked all the pins, reconnected and voila: all copacetic.

    Who help me?

  • Start the navigation sound distorted in Windows Vista 64-bit

Beginning sound navigation, the sound you hear when you open a folder or a web page, does not correctly on my computer running Windows Vista Enterprise 64-bit. It's the file located in "C:\Windows\Media\Windows Navigation Start.wav".

The thing is, I hear a part of the sound, not the whole of it. When I play it with Windows Media Player, it's all good. I know that my sound card isn't the cause, because I use the same computer with Windows XP and Windows 7 as well, and everything works well in both entities. I keep all the drivers updated, so it is not the question.

Help me to solve this, please. Best regards, V.M.

Everything works fine now. The problem has simply disappeared. Must have been a bug (as usual) Microsoft that they have patched up finally. 4 years too late, you mind.

What type of driver sound has extension wav? Which audio driver should I download Windows 8 and how?

    Sannia Hello,

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.

We need more information about the issue so that we can help you better.

    1. do you try to play audio files. WAV extension?
    2. If so, what happens when you play the files? They do not play, or you receive an error message or a code?
    3. What is the brand and model of your tab Windows 8?

Thank you for details on the issue.

File (WAV) Audio Waveform format is a Microsoft and IBM audio file format standard for storing an audio bitstream on PCs. It is an application of the Resource Interchange File Format (RIFF) binary stream format method for storing data in "chunks", and thus is also close to the 8SVX and used the format AIFF on Amiga and Macintosh computers, respectively. It is the main format used on Windows for audio usually compressed gross systems and not compressed. The usual bitstream encoding is the format for linear pulse code modulation (LPCM).

Audio driver is common for all types of audio files. However, in order to play an audio file with a specific extension, you may need a special codec that you can install. You can refer to this article:

  • Mini 300-050np Pavilion: helmet, always considered as speakers and sound distortions. Where can we change that?

    Hello

I currently get my Pavilion Mini hooked to a set of headphones Sennheiser wireless and, while I wait for my new speakers, I use the TV speakers that I use as a PC monitor.

My problem is that on sounds defenitions, there no option to pass a pair of stereo speakers for headphones. The sound is distorted on the low frequencies and I think it has to do with her think that it deals with expernal speakers. I found once taking Realtek Control Panel, but I can't find it now. Don't do me no good when I did as she also would not allow me to tell him that the thing about the Jack conneceted 3.5 are headphones.

I also have a 'DTS Audio Control Panel' on my tool bar (the thing on the right with the clock button, etc.). I don't know what it is or where it comes from. Is this a HP or Microsoft software?

Oh, and before ask you... records are up to date on the HP Web page.

    Thank you!

OK, so to close this debate and for later use.

-Turn down the volume on the PC.

-Change the speakers via the DTS audio Panel (it of one thing to HP and seems to replace the windows volume mixer but not vice versa.

-In speaker properties, output quality seems to want to stay in the middle of quality regarding. Put in high quality you can.

Driver sound installation or update? It seems that the Toshiba driver page provides the audio driver for Vista for Qosmio G30-112 PQG32.
The latest version is a pilot of its sigma 6.10.5324.

By the way; Control Panel audio SigmaTel provides some useful parameters.
There, you should turn off (disable) the power management!
In addition, you can try to play a little bit with the digital Dolby Virtual Speaker dolby and pro logic II parameters.

  • Sound distortion on M30 - 604

    Hello

I had a problem with the sound on my Satellite M30-604. So for now I play a cd or an mp3 player (doesn't matter with what program), the sound is distorted. It sounds a bit like back in the old days when my channel am stuck. After some time, the noise goes away completely and I get an error of the pilot of its bad. When I restart the laptop, the sound works again fine for awhile, but then the problem repeats. This temporary regeneration happens only when I restart and happens when I put the laptop in mode or mode standby sleep for awhile. The rather in my book is the SigmaTel C-Major Audio version 6.14.1.3835, it should be the latest version. Can someone help me with this problem? At the moment I'm not shure even if it is a hardware or a software problem. Thank you

    Steve

    Hi Steve

I hope there is a solution that will help you. Have you tried to update BIOS? It will be interesting to know what you mean exactly under sound distortion. One of my friends had a similar problem, and that the cause was the modem. Sounds stupid, but everything is possible.

As I said if the sound is slow, it may be a few mailfunction of material.

  • Satellite A-L50-1DF - sound distortion using HDMI connection

    Hi all

Recently, I bought a new laptop, a Toshiba Satellite L50-A-1DF.

From the beginning, I experienced problems with the HDMI connection.
When I connect my laptop to another monitor via HDMI more often than not, the sound is tinny and slightly distorted.

When I unplug the cable and put it in a few times, most of the time solved the problem.
I used different HDMI cables and different monitors with the same effect.

Other laptops work fine with these cables and monitors.
I reinstalled the drivers to display without a bit of luck and will eventually be sent my laptop in for repair.

Unfortunately, the problem was not found when they looked at it and I'll it back without a repair.

I have no idea what could be the problem, because it is not found by the repair team.
The customer service is unfortunately reluctant to me more help.

Can anyone think an explanation to this problem?

Thank you very much in advance for your comments!

    Kind regards
    Natasja

    > I have no idea what could be the problem, because it is not found by the repair team.

This means that the technician did not notice the sound distortion.
I think that it s very difficult to solve a problem that is not reproducible.

In my opinion, you should check exactly when this question appears and must try to reproduce the HDMI sound problem.
You should concentrate on the audio source and the software that runs when you connect the laptop to the external monitor TV.

Also I recommend that you perform the tests after the system has been recovered to factory settings.

  • Satellite click on Mini - sound distortion when looking through Blinkbox

My mini click has been fine and I watched several programs via blinkbox, listened to and downloaded. Last night, I was watching a program and the sound is distorted. I tried another Tablet, and the sound was very good, so that's obviously a problem with my mini click.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

Perhaps you should simply reinstall / update the audio driver?

But it would be interesting to know if the sound distortion is noticeable through connected headphones.

Where properly sound using headphones, the sound issue could be related to a malfunction of the speaker...
