  • Bluetooth doesn't work does not correctly after the installation of Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2 (SP2) on Dell laptop

I searched this forum and almost all resources on the net for days now nothing works.  Give the message to a thread more appropriate that I couldn't find one that is truly representative and am a newb at this.

Summary of the problem: Bluetooth connectivity does not work properly after the window Vista Home Premium Service Pack 1 and 2 installation (SP 1 and 2).

    My system:

Laptop Dell Inspiron E1705, 32-bit Winows Vista Home Premium SP2, Dell Wireless Bluetooth 355 Module + EDR 2.0

    * My system was purchased in 2006 with Windows XP, but was not entitled to a free Windows Vista Home Premium Upgrade I did. I installed Windows Service Pack 1 and 2 about a week ago.

Problem: After downloading and installing the Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 1 and 2 (SP 1 and 2), my system does not recognize my Bluetooth (a touch of Sprint also) device known as the HTC Vogue.  I stress that I have not had any problems with this device before downloads.  I can't revert to the pre - SP State 1 and 2 because my system restore does not have these points more.

I have read several posts on various sites about people having similar problems with Bluetooth connectivity after the Vista SP 1 and 2 facilities.  The problem is obviously the need for an updated driver.  I went to the site to download driver Dell and the Blueooth only updates available are the following. (Note: these drivers all date from 2006 and 2007).

    http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&cs=RC956904&l=en&s=pub&SystemID=INS_PNT_P4_9400&os=WLH&osl=en&servicetag=&catid=-1&impid=-1&deviceid=12084&libid=5&typeid=-1&dateid=-1&formatid=-1&source=-1&releaseid=R159805&formatcnt=1&vercnt=1

I had these installed before the SP 1 and 2 have been installed and they worked very well. After the upgrade, these drivers do not work.  They won't recognise BT devices.  I tried to upgrade the drivers by using update Broadcom suggested below it, but an error of following installation to contact Dell.

    http://www.Broadcom.com/support/Bluetooth/update.php

I contacted Dell via e-mail and on the phone, but they want to charge me $60 for a one time service call just to talk about the problem because my warranty has expired. Provide updated drivers is not a problem of security in my opinion.  Even after explaining the situation, their continuous support to just send me the link to download Driver Dell above with out-of-date drivers.  I guess that's what they are charged to do, they do not have to admit a problem of compatibility.  This obviously the same link they would charge $60 to send.  I explained that I need just a Bluetooth Driver from Dell to at least version 6.3.   Needless to say, I will never buy another Dell product.

On my end, I tried to uninstall my current drivers and then by installing a newer driver to support Gateway (Version 6.2.1.500 for and Acer).  This allows me to install some parts of this update and the update Broadcom. However, it is not a perfect installation and expires after about 90% saying "this update is not for this system" because it is the gateway not Dell to be provided.  Displays the version of the driver on my computer is Version 6.3.5.430 after doing this, but it is not a complete installation and some features are not available.

Does anyone have experience with this issue? I would like to have a link with some bluetooth drivers generic Version 6.3 type which will allow me to use the Broadcom link to upgrade to the last version that works with Vista SP 1 and 2.

    Thank you for your help.

Download and run the Microsoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostic Tool:
    Download the tool: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=56062
Post your results (copy button) and paste the results in your answer.

As a starting point, the first thing you should check is the section to three figures on the number of product ID, if it corresponds or is included in one or two digits of the examples below, you have probably a MSDN or TechNet product key. "These keys must not be sold for retail use.

    065 066 067, 068, 069 to Ultimate, box 220 for professional and 230, 231, 232 area for Home Premium,

There are probably others, but they should be close to those that are displayed"
(How to be certain - download the Microsoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostic Tool listed above).

Note: Though that illegally sold MSDN/TechNet allow product key for activation of more than one
(usually 5 or 10), so these keys can be sold "several times" before activation may fail.

  • Computer will not start after the installation of Windows Vista SP2

After downloding and installing Windows Vista SP2 on ACER laptop for my daughter, I can no longer start the computer.  Initially registered startup C:\\Windows\System32\drivers\ecache.sys as corrupt file repair.  Change BIOS to boot first from the optical drive and the departure of computer with Vista DVD in the drive, I accepted the option repair.  No chance that the machine always fails to start and always displays the window "Statup repair."  Auto repair is always unsuccessful.  Repair suggestions will be appreciated.  Thank you.  Bob G.

  • Latitude E5510 not start after the installation of Windows 7 64 bit

    Hey all,.

Recently, I tried to install Windows 7 on my brother's cell phone to try to update to Vista. The installation went well, but when he tries to restart for the first time, the screen remains empty without having to start. I tried to format the drive and try again and still nothing.

No idea what it could be?

    Silas

    Hi Silas,

My apologies for the late reply.

You can check the SATA operations in the system BIOS. Move operations SATA AHCI to ATA or vice versa, as shown in the image below:

Also be sure to remove all external devices connected to your computer and remove the SD card in it if connected.

See if it makes a difference.

  • Sound does not work after the installation of beats audio

    Laptop: HP DV6-7001TU

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium (the laptop came with HomeBasic, I got a copy of used HomePremium).

I came across this problem recently which was not there before, I bought the computer as soon as I bought almost 5 months ago, I did a format complete and installed Windows 7 Home Premium (hate the bloatware that comes + it came with HomeBasic).

Audio worked fine uptill now, my brother got a new laptop DV6 with beats the other day, and the sound was better than what I had. So I thought it was the default sound drivers I had. I went there and am myself the audio drivers. Now, since I update the drivers, I have no sound on my speakers if I use not his for a long time, if I restart the noise comes back, but if I do not use anything his bound for awhile and then try to use it again, it disappears.

The solution that I found (to restart the computer every time), is that if I click on the vloume icon in the taskbar and then click on the speaker icon that opens "speakers and headphones properties" and then click OK in the window that opens, the sound comes back.

    Things I've tried so far

    1. Once I have no sound, again, I tried the windows "Find and fix audio playback problems", he found nothing.
    2. I have uninstalled/cancelled codec IDT of the Manager of the devices, the drivers were responsible for default and the sound was back, once I did a Windows reboot find the IDT drivers and the problem was back.
    3. I have uninstalled/cancelled drivers IDT, uninstalled the software programs IDT add & delete, downloaded a new copy from the link above and installed again, same problem.

Help, please! It drives me crazy, I get a lot of Skype calls during my work hours and I have to constantly to cling on my clients and that the correction of the sound and to recall them once again, this is highly inconvient.

Software IDT uninstalled, deleted/rolledback the pilot programs, downloaded the HP Support Assistant and recommended IDT software, installed via HP Support Assistant. Everything works fine now.

  • Gateway 7330gz does not start after the installation of Windows XP SP2

Gateway 7330gz had a hard drive failure, so installed new hard drive (160 GB drive), file a copy of XP Pro, starts without a problem, pulled down to XP SP2, saved on hard drive, run SP2, and it installs without warning and restarts.

Then goes into loop.  Download the gateway splash screen, The Win XP logo comes up and the progress bar is on 2-3 loops - gateway splash screen, repeat... If I F8 for boot menu selections, I can do a safeboot with networking.

I reformatted and reinstalled XP added once again, all the appropriate drivers I can find to remove yellow? in the Manager list of device without change.

There are only XP Pro on the machine when I start - absolutely no other software package has been installed, no external devices are connected.

My plan was to drop XP Pro, SP2, and SP3, (updated IE along the way) and add MS Security Essentials. Then pick up all the other patches since SP3 before you add any other software.

Thoughts on why the boot failure after installation of SP2?

    Solution found

In BIOS advanced together to the top was an option called INTEL speed step

Disabled the option and restarted in SP2 with no problems.

Adding SP3, MS Security Essentials with no other problems...

    Hello

First if all would be very useful to know which model of laptop you have.
Second, you could find the driver of his right on the page of Toshiba and so you n t need to test several audio drivers! The one on the Toshiba driver site works for sure.
