• Sounds strange glitch when you watch videos, listen to music for Dell Inspiron 1545

  I don't know how else to describe what is happening except when I watch videos and listen to music, this glitch or buzzing sounds sound approximately every 10 seconds or more. I have done everything I know, search for possible viruses, reinstall the software. I'm not a geek, I use my Inspiron 1545 laptop for school, music and web, I do not so anything that's difficult. Everything works fine except this problem.

  restore the system to an older date has apparently solved the problem.

  If she comes back, check the list of programs in the control panel > programs & features and remove Dell Support help and Dell Support Agent to it. Dell published a bad update last week that causes ringing. If you have this update, perhaps using the removed system restore.

  Try the following.

  Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

  One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

  When you're done, shut down the laptop and perform a "Hard Reset" for your model, as described in the document of HP here.

  One when you're done, press next to the key ESC that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

  Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

  Type in "change the settings of the sound card" in the search bar and open it. Double-click on your speakers to open the speaker Properties window. In this, go to the tab called Dolby and click the power button in the upper left corner to switch it off.

  If you do not have from speakers after an update (Windows or Bios), please try a Hard reset first. Also, keep reset material mind does the same thing with each cell.

   

  Now, if the hard reset does not work, you will need to update the Audio drivers (Realtek High definition (HD) Audio Driver) on the HP site.

  Once you arrive at this page of your product type # in (if you don't know what your product is # or when it is on the laptop, here is a video that will show you exactly where to find ) > search click > select the option 'Software & Driver Downloads' > choose your operating system (not sure what operating system you have or where?) ( This should help out you) > then click after selecting operating system > scroll down and click on the + (plus) next to "Audio driver" > and then select the most recent version by checking the date on each download > then run.  Now test the sound after installation.

  Also, please try to use Recovery Manager to reinstall the IDT HD Audio Driver If the steps above do not work. How to use the Recovery Manager to reinstall the drivers and software is detailed in the document below.

  The last step to do if you get always no sound at all is a system restore to when you know the sound worked and do not download the last updated after that.

  Here is the document to show you how to proceed. Select the option at the top that says "restore windows to an earlier point.

  Just make sure and save the files and upload, you have recently installed or saved on your laptop.

  Recently bought a 7359 2-in-1 and have been more or less satisfied - except for one glaring problem: there is no sound on the speakers (and despite checking all properties, etc.) after the last update of the BIOs Dell - WS - 01.08.00.exe.

  I spoke several times with the Service from Dell, who asked without success to find a solution and I even did a full factory restore - nothing worked until (and after much aggravation and the research on the advice of the forum...) - I got the BIOs with an earlier version: (01.06.00, A05 26 Feb 20167:37: 58 AM).

  I have the sound back now, but - it is not acceptable for a new factory unit, it can?

  Also, as aside, is a note possible to turn on the stereo mix (check-in line/waveout), as I had on my previous Dell XPS 13 and Inspiron? It is not a matter of 'right-click-enable-disabled' - that's all just not there on this computer, unless I want to dare to add a value to registry - not something for the fainthearted on a new computer laptop...

  I see where several issue after you upgrade to windows 8 for 7 or vista, you have no sound from speakers.

  In case someone runs into this problem going forward, please make sure that:

  1. your laptop is supported for Windows 8.

  AND

  2. There are Audio drivers available for the laptop.

  Mute the button on my hp pavilion laptop dv4 1551dx is permanently red and the sound will not come out of my speakers. When I touch, the screen will indicate that it has been reactivated, but the speakers do not always work. However, I am able to hear the sound in my headphones.   I recently had problems with my Dell Inspiron 9400/E1705 (vista 32-bit windows operating system). I couldn't get a USB microphone to work and I decided to update the sound card driver. I downloaded and updated what I thought, it was the right driver (sigmatel high definition audio codec) and since there is no sound from speakers. I followed the guide from Dell troubleshooting and disconnect any external devices and then click right click the mixer volume in the system tray, and then clicked on "open volume Mixer" and I get the message: no audio device installed. I went to the control panel to check the sound card driver and he told me that the codec sigmatel high definition audio works well and he has not updated. I unfortunately can't restore the system that system restore installation in my computer stopped working awhile (even when I start windows in safe mode) so I'm stuck. I think that I have installed the wrong driver for the sound card but don't find it not easy to understand which driver to search the dell support center. It seems that the audio card is called something like "HDAUDIO\func01_ & FRI etc. looks Chinese to me. Could someone help? I would be very grateful

  I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite with Harmon/Kardon speakers, using the Realtek AC97 Audio sound card. For some reason there is no sound coming out of laptop speakers, but when I connect earphones I get the sound perfectly fine, if clearly is not a volume control number. Device Manager indicates that the sound card works fine.

  I tried the system restore, and it does not work. Can someone help me please?

  The graphics card and the audio driver works very well if the sound is coming through the headphones.

  In this case, the technician should be contacted because everything looks like a hardware problem.
