Sound of water drop annoying Vista

How stop his ANNOYING "VISTA DROP" WATER all sounds are off and when speakers are turned off!

It could be a problem with the pop-up windows.
In Internet Explorer, go to tools, popups blocker
Select Popup blocking settings. Then uncheck "play sound when popup is blocked".

Check the thread here and look at the post of PA bear that he found what may be a problem with Pest Patrol.

  • No sound via HDMI after upgrading Vista to Windows 7

    Data sheet:

    HP Pavilion Elite m9515y

    Sound:

    Realtek ALC 888 chipset s

    Video:

    GeForce 9600 GS

With the original operating system Vista, I could right-click on the speaker in the taskbar and select the playback device and make the default output HDMI.  I erased my drive and installed Windows 7.  Now under the playback devices I have not the HDMI option.  According to me, speakers, headphones and Realtek Digital Output.  Sounds works fine with speakers or headphones.  I tried to install the latest audio and video of Nvidia and Realtek drivers.  I tried to go back to the original Vista drivers.  Nothing works.  At the moment I use a stereo cable to connect my PC from the headphone jack on my TV, but wish that I could get good audio HDMI works with Windows 7.  Anyone else having a problem with these chips sets?

    PROBLEM SOLVED!

The motherboard has two S/PDIF outputs.  A pass by a connector and the wire internal graphics card HDMI.  The other goes to a RCA Jack on the back of the computer.  During normal operation of Vista, the driver probably did some function to determine if the HDMI connection is used, so that it does not disturb the owner of a system without card HDMI with this audio port additional inaccessible appear under their playback devices.

Unfortunately, the BIOS or the audio driver or video card driver require an update for Windows 7.  No matter what function is used to detect if the HDMI connection is present does not, if ever it comes in the playback devices.  I hope someone at HP or Nvidia, Realtek is tuned for this.

Until the corrected drivers or BIOS, I found a coaxial wire thin with an RCA connector on one end and who connected to the Digital Audio output on the back of the computer, transferred this thread in my machine, then cut and solder this wire over the graphics card HDMI input S/PDIF.  It seems stupid, but works like a charm.

So ends 3 days of aggravation.

  • Satellite L30-113 - no sound after the downgrade from Vista to XP

    Hello to everyone.
I recently bought a new laptop Toshiba Satellite L30-113
    with vista preintalled.

As many users around the vista of the world seemed very slow for me so I decided to go back to Windows XP Pro.
The problem is that I can't hear any sound in my laptop.
In fact I found some drivers for Realtek controller High definition audio
    but they have nothing did.

I give the floor to toshiba in Greece and they told me that this laptop is designed only for windows vista!
    Can this be true?
    Help, please

    Hello

In my eyes, you have misunderstood something. Of course, that the laptop can handle Windows XP and it should work correctly, but as you say the device was shipped with Vista and so the guys at Toshiba support don't provide any support for WinXP on this laptop.

As far as I know page driver Toshiba also provide drivers for win XP. Therefore, visit European driver of Toshiba page and choose the good laptop-> PSL33 Sat L30-113

You will find a driver 5.10.0.5273 version XP. This should work!

    Have a nice day ;)

  • Camileo S10 clicks in sound and in drops in volume

    Hello

Yesterday, I bought the Toshiba Camileo S10 camcorder.
Everything seems to work fine apart from the sound which is unacceptable.

    Here's the problem:

I record a video on playback on my computer the pop sound every now and then randomly and enjoys different each time (left and right) speakers, the sound becomes weak and then returns to its original volume. As it is limited in some way but with a very fast attack that causes artifacts.

This happens in all the videos I shot and what worries me the most, is that I saw a lot of S10 videos on youtube that have exactly the same problem with the sound.

    One example is this video:

    http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=JDKo_bI4Qso&feature=related

Notice how the sound get clicky and drops in volume at random in the left or right channel.

Please let me know if there is a way to avoid this, as it clearly seems to be a common symptom of the S10. If there is no way to avoid it would certainly go back there. Audio quality is simply unacceptable. Even my mobile phone has the best sound quality. I don't really like the quality it's clicks and drops in the volume which concern me.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hello

One of my friends owns a Camileo camcorder and I have a Camielo Pro camcorder as well.
I recorded a lot of videos and to be honest I didn t notice all her questions.
    The sound was recorded correctly.

Of course, I could edit movies recorded using some video editing applications.
I m using Nero and some plug-ins to create a movie and burn it on CD or DVD.

So if you really have problems during video recording you must contact an ASP for a check.

  • No sound on P100-188 on Vista or Linux platforms

Sound only works on the XP library. I tried Ubuntu, SuSE, Mepis, Linux, Vista, zabaglione, with modifications, PC but no joy :-(

    Running Ubuntu 7.04

Step by step help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

so, which system you want to use? Linux? Vista?

In addition, how you tried to activate its "Linux"? Do you know which audio chipset is in your machine? If so, how have you tried to activate it? With alsa or OSS or compile directly into the kernel?

A little information would be REALLY useful because no one can pull anything off your information/description that you gave.

Be more specific and give some feedback

    Hello

I m not surprised! This virtual sound utility only works with XP!

  • Re: Satellite P100-194 PSP6AE sound does not work under Vista 32 bit

    Hello world

I got a nice Satellite P100 and configure Vista for a friend. I don't have the CD that came with the computer, so I installed those on the Toshiba site. I found out later that there is a proposed order of installations, and there is no chipset driver for Vista, so I used the XP one.
As far as I got, everything works fine but the laptop remains silent. There is no sound from the speakers at all. Windows says it all was going well and there is a level moving in the sound mixer, but he remains silent.

Does anyone have an idea what I could check or change? I would be very happy!

    Thanks in advance,
    Markus

From my point of view, there is a hardware malfunction.
Why? Because the sound through headphones. Therefore, it is not a software/driver problem.

But what you could do is to check the audio playback device by default:
Go to control panel of-> sound-> the Read tab
Here the speakers should be peripheral activated and chosen as a default value.

    Hello...

I recently bought a HP dv4-1413tx with vista home premium pre-installed on it. I tried it downgrade to Windows XP SP2. Managed to install XP on it but feels a hell of a time with drivers... Especially the audio. There is absolutely no sound. Not even the beeps.

I tried to install UAA audio bus driver first and then the driver of HDTV LSI etc. but still no sound. I spent several hours on this subject...

Peut - some kind soul please direct me on how to go about this case?

I remember that I was in a similar situation some two years back in an attempt to re - install Windows XP on another laptop from my friend. We install everything except the audio. Finally, the technician at the shop could install for us. Now I'm away from the place... So can not go and find out that the man how it install it. It was also a HP laptop only...

I would like to add that the mute button stays red and does not respond when you press.

There is nothing about Audio in Device Manager... Maybe that's the problem.

  • No sound while recording with Windows Vista

    Hello!

Thanks in advance for the help!

I have a new 430 of XPS from Dell running Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit.

I try to save and the external audio source (old audio cassettes) using audio recordings of Vista. I am inputing the audio using the socket "line in" on the back of the computer.  The Visual meter shows a signal is present, and I can save, save and playback of the audio file after it is saved.  The problem is that I can't hear any sound when recording from an external audio source.  I check in 'Sounds' in the Panel, and in 'line' monitor shows it receives a signal (and the level is turned up), but nothing is heard in real-time.  No speakers are silent. All the other sounds of the computer, MP3 and CD is heard without difficulty.  When I do a check for speaker under 'Sounds', the speakers work fine.  But I hear no audio registration until after I record the signal.

The computer is only 2 months old, and I've never been able to hear any audio registration in real time.  This isn't something that just stopped working.

I also use Total Recorder 7.1 and I have the same problem.  Total Recorder sees the external audio input signal and saves it.  But I do not what I did until I have read the saved file.  With Windows XP I always heard an external audio input as soon as I plugged the audio source, but so far it does not the same under Vista.

Device Manager tells me that my sound card and driver are operating normally.

Any ideas anyone?  Is there a change in Vista compared to XP?  Have they blocked the monitoring in real time because of some problems of conflicts or comments?  I'm just guessing.

    Thank you!!!

    Dan

Solution seems to be to disable the integrated sound card and buy a PCI sound card. Good news is that they are cheap.

Just to be sure, it is the last driver I could find at Dell

    http://support.us.Dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=us&CS=04&l=en&s=BSD&ReleaseID=R190321&formatcnt=1&LIBID=0&FILEID=261430

I suspect the integrated sound card is not full duplex or the available driver is unable to drive. The first is my best guess.

So the bottom line is that you need a PCI Full Duplex sound card that works with 64-bit windows. The highest and digital sample rate 24 - bit is better, but I don't know it wouldn't be difficult to exceed the specifications on board. Rob - support element, Cascade Bicycle Club P.O.
