    Hello

    I have a DELL XPS 13 9343.
I did a clean install of Windows 10 and downloaded the drivers from dell.com.
    I am also running Hyper-V.
I'm repeated warnings in my saying system Envent Viewer:

\Device\RaidPort0, restore the device, has been published.
    Source: storahci

Just before I get these events my computer freeze for 10-20 seconds and I can´t anything.
It's very annoying, and I hope there is a fix for this?
    Thanks in advance.

I had exactly the same problem on a lot of my dell systems. Here is how I solved the problem:

First we need to change ""AHCI Link Power Management " which is a setting hidden in power management." Open the registry editor and change the following settings.

    HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\PowerSettings\0012ee47-9041-4b5d-9b77-535fba8b1442\0b2d69d7-A2A1-449c-9680-f91c70521c60

    Change 1 to 2 attributes

    HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\PowerSettings\0012ee47-9041-4b5d-9b77-535fba8b1442\dab60367-53fe-4FBC-825e-521d069d2456

And again change the attributes of 1 to 2.

Now, go to the Control Panel-> system and security control-> Power Options , click on "Change Plan settings" and then click on "change power avancΘs."

Now under "Hard disk", you should have AHCI Link Power Management - HIPM/DIPM and AHCI Link Power Management - Adaptive options.

Change the 'AHCI Link power management' active, meaning that there is no AHCI power management and finally change adaptive to 0 milliseconds (well if you have enabled "active" this option has no effect).

Finally under "PCI Express" change "Link State Power management" to OFF.

I hope this will help you.

    Good luck!

  • If I unplug the power adapter for my MacBook for 5 minutes during the migration assistant will continue the migration or the battery has been disabled in utility mode?

I used the migration assistant to transfer my documents and applications of a backup time machine to my MacBook. I know that I need my wired adapter so that the whole process to complete due to the time it takes for the migration. If I unplug my adapter for 5 minutes the macbook will lose power because of the battery off in utility mode or power will be uninterrupted?

Im not sure he could stop it, but to be sure I would just leave it alone, because if it is interrupted it could damage the macbook and time machine backup

  • What control in a cluster has been responsible for a MouseDown event?

    Hello

I have a cluster with lots of controls and one for the event can be triggered from a MouseDown event generated by the cluster. How to know which control generated the event?

In a similar problem with a ValueChange event I use oldval and newval compare what control has changed, but I can't do with MouseDown.

    Any ideas?

    Lauri

    Lauri,

the reason why you do not get an information control within the cluster has been clicked is simple:

The event is not a control within the cluster, but on the cluster itself. So if you click on the "white" of the bunch, the event also fires...

The best solution for your application needs to manage a click on the cluster, but on the elements of a cluster. The event should look like this:

The same is btw. true also for change of value if you don't want to do things to compare...

    hope this helps,

    Norbert

    Hi Umer,

The kernel power event 41 ID error occurs when the computer is off or it restarts unexpectedly. Starting a computer that is running Windows, a check is made to determine if the computer has been properly closed. If the computer was not closed properly, a kernel Power event 41 message is generated.

Sorry for the late reply and I appreciate your patience.

The kernel power event 41 ID error occurs when the computer is off or it restarts unexpectedly. Starting a computer that is running Windows, a check is made to determine if the computer has been properly closed. If the computer was not closed properly, a kernel Power event 41 message is generated.

  • Get-VIEvent - how to export the event type?  error, warning, or info

    Hello

I know that the Get-VIEvent command allows you to specify the type of events to get back... that is to say [-Types < EventCategory [>]

but, I want to extract all the events and export them to a CSV file. I want one of the columns to be "EventCategory", which will be ERROR, WARNING, or INFO, but I can't seem to find it.  $_. GetType(). Name gets me the type of event, but not the category.  I know that I can have my script executed 3 times (each time specifying the - parameter Types) but I want to run only once.  Any ideas?

    Thank you!

    Jeff

    Hello, horningj-

I worked on a few elements that should attract the event category.  The first selects a few properties, including a calculated property that gets the event category:

    ## works well if no events of type 'EventEx'## get the .Net View object of the EventManager (used for getting the event Category) $viewEventMgr = Get-View EventManager ## get some VIEvents, select a few properties, including a calculated property for EventCategory Get-VIEvent | Select FullFormattedMessage, CreatedTime, @{n="EventCategory"; e={$strThisEventType = $_.GetType().Name; ($viewEventMgr.Description.EventInfo | ?{$_.Key -eq $strThisEventType}).Category}}

It becomes VIEvents (the last 100, because I did not specify the parameter - MaxSamples) and returns the properties of data.  The calculated "EventCategory" property uses the type of the VIEvent object to search for in the collection of items EventDescriptionEventDetail in ownership eventInfo found in .net object View for the EventManager.  He then grabs the 'Category' of the corresponding element of EventDescriptionEventDetail property.

Works fine unless you have any VIEvents type "EventEx" - then, this 'research' in EventDescriptionEventDetail collection method fails, because there is more than one element of this type (there are 91 of them at the moment).

This led me to the next bit.  It is similar to the previous method, but it handles EventEx events too:

    ## get the .Net View object of the EventManager (used for getting the event Category)$viewEventMgr = Get-View EventManager

    ## get some VIEvents (the last 100, as "-MaxSamples" is not specified) Get-VIEvent | %{ ## put the pipeline varible into another variable; get its type $oThisEvent = $_; $strThisEventType = $_.GetType().Name ## if this event is of type "EventEx" if ($strThisEventType -eq "EventEx") { $strEventTypeId = $oThisEvent.EventTypeId; ## get the EventInfo item (of type EventDescriptionEventDetail) whose "FullFormat" property begins with the EventTypeId of the VIEvent at hand, and get its "Category" property $strCategory = ($viewEventMgr.Description.EventInfo | ?{$strRegexPattern = "^$strEventTypeId\|.*"; $_.FullFormat -match $strRegexPattern}).Category } ## end if ## else, can just grab the EventInfo item whose "Key" is the same as this event's type else {$strCategory = ($viewEventMgr.Description.EventInfo | ?{$_.Key -eq $strThisEventType}).Category} ## add a NoteProperty "EventCategory" to this event $oThisEvent | Add-Member -MemberType NoteProperty -Name EventCategory -Value $strCategory -PassThru} | Select FullFormattedMessage, CreatedTime, EventCategory

It seems that the EventTypeId of the event returned by Get-VIEvent is included in the first part of the property FullFormat of elements EventDescriptionEventDetail with EventEx key, separate from the rest of the value by a vertical pipe.  Thus, the EventTypeId of the VIEvents can be used to make a match on EventEx of events .net EventManager View object types to get the event 'category' (info, warning, error, user).

You can, of course, change the Select statements to choice/choose the pieces of information you want to export and then export to a file of data as you please.

    How does do for you?

    * The message has been edited by mattboren on April 5, 2011 - added line at the beginning of the second piece of code '$viewEventMgr = Get-view event Manager.  It was already in the first room and assumes that the user has run the two parts in the same session, but added for completeness.

  • The event log shows event 11 atapi: the driver has detected an error in the controller on \Device\Ide\IdePort1

Intermittent crashes. The event log shows event 11 atapi: the driver has detected an error in the controller on \Device\Ide\IdePort1. How can I find this device? This is probably a hardware problem?

I look at intermittent crashes, where my cursor becomes an hourglass and the system does not yet meet the ctrl-alt-delete.  In the case of a newspaper, I find

Event 11 atapi: the driver has detected an error in the controller on \Device\Ide\IdePort1.

How can I determine which physical devices this is associated?  This indicates a hardware problem, or driver or firmware may be the source? The system has worked very well for a few years.  I'm not aware of any change in software that took place recently, although I have had by force, remove and reinstall iTunes earlier.

I run SMART on all players controls and run diagnostics.  I ran chkdsk on the one I found the culprit, but not mistakes.

Just in case it was a deadlock linked to memory, I tried to use the Diagnostics memory Microsoft on floppy, but it would not write on the disk (even if I could format and copy the files freely).

    Hello

Go to your configuration and see which drive is for each port; 1,2,3,4...

Then go to the Device Manager and look at how many SATA controller you have and how many ports for each, then start count from 0 to IdePort0, 1, 2, etc. for each SATA controller, so if you have 4 ports for each SATA controller, here is how you came from:

    IdePort0 1 -, 2 - IdePort1, 3 car - IdePort2 and road 4 - IdePort3 in the order of road by car

    I hope it helps

"Newspapers descriptions of events are always the same.

I have re-installed Win 7 Professional 64 bit.  The problem persists.  The computer turns off again, even before I have re-installed all files/programs.  This would be a sort of an electrical problem?  I need help, please.

We need the DMP file because it contains the single record of the sequence of events that led to the accident, what drivers have been loaded, and what has been loaded.

WE NEED AT LEAST TWO FILES DMP TO SPOT TRENDS AND TO CONFIRM THE DIAGNOSIS.
You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting in SafeMode (F8) with networking.
If you are overclocking stop.  (chances are that if you are unsure if you are, you are not)
