No sorry. Here is the Manual:

4 GB memory is "onboard" which means soldered to the motherboard. No way to upgrade. See p. 1

  • Mac Pro RAM, Audio, Bluetooth mouse problems

I recently bought an Apple factory refurbished Mac Pro (end 2013) and replaced the three-chip RAM of 4 GB with 16 GB of Crucial two chips. Everything was great for the first two weeks. Then I started having a strange audio problem. Audio would become suddenly agitated. I disconnected and reconnected the speaker output and it would start working again. Finally, unplug the unit and plug the unit has stopped working (audio would eventually just stop working completely... zero sound with or without the speaker plugged in...) and I had to restart the computer.

Then one day I noticed that only 16 GB of RAM showed up (I run own memory, so he's in my toolbar). I opened the machine and moved the two chips on the other side and when I rebooted, I got 32GB again.

Then I noticed that when the audio problem came once again (he seems to be after the computer has been for a few hours or more) my Apple bluetooth mouse would disconnect and reconnect intermittently... ONLY when the audio starts to get restless again.

I zapped the PRAM several times and now I get the 32 GB of RAM only after disconnecting the chips and MOVING them to another location, but not all the time. The audio port will begin to spoil, I reboot and I'm back to 16 GB.

So, is it bad RAM? I removed a single chip and the audio problem still happens.

Anyone have this problem? Apple Care suggested I bring it in the Apple Store, but I thought that I ask here before go this road, just in case there is a known issue.

    Thank you!!

    Rick...

To establish if it is a RAM problem, remove 16Bb sticks and replace the original 4 GB sticks.

  • MacBook pro RAM upgrade

I have mid-2012 13 inch Macbook Pro. I used it for a year in India. But it's somehow slows down. I have a 4GB 1600 Mhz RAM installed. I think to be upgraded to 8 GB. He face any problem of heating on the upgrade of RAM? About how many dollars will I have to pay for it?

    Thanks in advance.

    Akshay,

You should have no problem with the heating problems by upgrading the RAM, if you use good RAM.

With respect to costs in India, I'm not sure.

You can check out OWC or Crucial for fixing prices and product, they are compatible RAM known providers. I don't know if they ship to the India. You can also contact Apple service provider to see if they have produced for you.

  • Mac pro RAM

Apple mac pro, 2009, el captain, 3x2GB RAM installed osx. Can I install another 8GB RAM piece to put on?

Yes, they can be mixed. Note that the 16 GB sticks can be mixed with small-sized ones.

  • MacBook Pro RAM - higher than recommended

I wanted to upgrade the RAM on my MacBook Pro 2009. Now, I looked on this website: MacBook Pro: how to remove or install memory - Apple Support on RAM specifications I needed for the upgrade of RAM.

Now, I think I need Max it upward. My problem is that I saw on the store's site there are 1066 MHz PC3-8500 type of RAM, but they have 2 GB (I need to buy 2 to 4 GB). I looked for a kit of 8 GB or 4 GB (even once, I need to buy 2), but I found only the 1333 MHz PC3-10600. And one of my problem is that if I update these, there are problems of incompatibility on my MacBook Pro.

    My question is:

You upgrade the RAM with specifications higher (as I mentioned earlier). If so, you are problems of incompatibility? If not, where can I get the specifications of RAM recommended (I live in the Philippines)?

You cannot use faster Ram of your Mac, use the same speed (1066 mhz)

And buy it from OWC or Crucial.

  • Spectrum of 13-4109na x 360 HP: question for HP spectrum 13-4109na x 360 Ram upgrade

    Hello

I am looking to buy new spectrum 13-4109na x 360 HP and I would like to know if it would be possible to increase the 16 GB ram?

The product technique (https://store.hp.com/UKStore/Merch/Product.aspx?id=P5P13EA & opt = ABU & salt = NTB #merch - tech - specs) says 8 GB on board so I think that the answer is, but is - it possible that you guys can improve vessel?

    Thank you

    Jousset

It won't have anyone on this Forum. Page HP Store says on the spectrum:

Up to 8 GB of RAM

Multitasking without effort and get more work with up to 8 GB of RAM

So I think that they do not offer a 16 gig option. I sincerely doubt that you really need 16 gigs, but if you have it you will not be able to get on this computer.

  • MacBook Pro RAM needs a home

    Hello and good evening.

Received two 2 GB MacBook Pro Modules of RAM available a late 2008 MacBook Pro in full working order.

Give them to a local computer club.

    Sell on EBay or CraigsList.

Keep them in case you need it in the future.

  • 2008 mac Pro RAM

I have a 2008 Mac Pro 8 Core Xeon 2.8 GHz with 2 GB of ram. I want to upgrade the RAM and reflected on this but let me puzzled is certified Apple and ECC. Regular RAM DDR2 will work in the computer? And I can't just RAM with a heat sink or only a certified Apple one? What are my options and the best results?

You can use the non - ECC memory, but you cannot mix ECC and non ECC.

    You need a heat sink.

Macs are picky about the memory if you need to get the memory of a place that guarantees that they will work with your Mac. Just return form is not enough.

    Hi Grosher,

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site!

    1. from when are you facing this problem?

    2. is the keyboard and the mouse does not?

    Try the following methods.

    Method 1

Resynchronize your device with the receiver

    1. Press the button on the receiver and check that the light on the receiver starts flashing.
    2. If a dialog box appears on the screen in seconds, follow the instructions that appear on the screen. Otherwise, continue to the next step.
    3. Press and release the Connect Channel button on the bottom of the mouse or the keyboard.
    4. Check the green light on the receiver. A continuous green light means that the synchronization was successful. If the problem persists, repeat steps 1 to 4.
    5. For the Wireless Notebook Mouse: this issue can occur if the micro-switch on the bottom of the mouse is not released. Use a PIN or pen to try to release the button, if it is pressed.

    Method 2

    un) try different ports

To determine if the problem is related to the ports on the computer, use only the two cables provided with the wireless desktop receiver or the cable that is provided with a mouse.

    b) USB keyboard and USB mouse

If the USB cable is connected to a USB hub, disconnect the device from the hub, and then plug it into a USB port on the computer. If your device is already connected to a USB port on the computer, try to connect the device to a different USB port if available.

    c) try the keyboard and the mouse on another computer

    d) change the batteries

    e) to recharge the batteries

    Method 3

Reinsert the batteries or install fresh batteries

Both the wireless keyboard and the wireless mouse rely on AA alkaline batteries for power. Remove the batteries and then insert them again. If the problem persists, install a new set of batteries in the unit that you have problems with.

    Method 4

Install the latest version of the software

If you are troubleshooting a wireless mouse, download and install the latest version of the Microsoft IntelliPoint software. For more information about IntelliPoint software, see the Microsoft Web site at the following address:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/hardware/download/DownloadResult.aspx?category=MK&type=trackball&name=t_to15&OS=WVista_32&lang=en (http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/download/DownloadResult.aspx?category=MK&type=Trackball&name=t_to15&os=WVista_32&lang=en)

If you are troubleshooting a wireless keyboard, download and install the latest version of the Microsoft IntelliType software. For more information about IntelliType software, visit the Microsoft Web site at the following address:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/hardware/download/DownloadResult.aspx?category=MK&type=trackball&name=t_to15&OS=WVista_32&lang=en

    Method 5

    Manually reinstalling drivers

To remove and reinstall the drivers, follow these steps:

    1. Disconnect the device from the computer.
    2. Cut the power to the device, if the device has a separate power supply.
    3. Open the Device Manager. To do this, use one of the following methods:
      • In Windows Vista, click on start toreduce this includes this image, type device in the Search box, and then click Device Manager in the programs list. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow.
      • In Windows XP, click Start, click run, type devmgmt.mscand then click OK.
    4. Double-click keyboard, right-click on the keyboard you are using, and then click Uninstall.

Note If your device is not listed, this means that the device has been deleted automatically when you disconnected the device. Go to the next step.

    5. Restart the computer.
    6. Once again the power supply, if you have to and then connect the device to the computer. Your computer detects the device and then reinstall the drivers for the device.

  • Buying a new macbook pro - RAM is more important? What is Core i5 processor?

I plan to buy a new macbook and can't know if I should get 13 inches 2.66 GHz dual core with an upgrade to 8 GB of ram, or rather to get Core i5 15 inch 2.4 GHz and 4 GB of ram.  I move from a PC.  Only use VMWare Fusion mainly for MSoffice (MS Word/Excel) and Outlook. Messages I've read seem to collide on the RAM, many say its more important for VMWare, others say max 1 GB allocated and that too allocated at startup of Windows actually degrades performance. Any guidance appreciated!

Hi Jossol. Personally, I would say that still more RAM the better when it comes to a desktop based vm environment. I run a Core2Duo 2 GHz with only 2 GB of RAM on a test machine and the CPU is barely affected. It's the same in our environment ESX, RAM is being consumed at a rate much higher than CPU, especially if just using a virtual machine with office etc.

However, to be honest, it sounds as if the two options will do what you want with very little trouble. As a processor is generally much more expensive upgrade RAM (generally less expensive and more convenient to buy a new laptop) it might be the best option to go with the i5 Core option now and then upgrade of RAM when the next version of Windows arrives and is linked to more memory to run the application.
