Speech recognition. Alternative to say "Enter".

Hello

I use WSR and speech synthesis in an interactive application built in Visual Basic. Both work fine except for a small little blip occurs (actually a HUGE one... She makes me crazy!) Whenever I want to enter text, I'm talking about and I then say 'Enter' (or indeed, press 'Enter' that go against the object!)

I have a temporary difficulty... a macro with the name of the program, recognized as 'Enter', but which is too klunky :(

Anyone have an idea how I can get WSR to recognize a break at the end of a phrase such as 'Enter '? Maybe a macro or better yet one for VB code snippet.

Any help would be much appreciated.  :)

  • Speech recognition will not start and continue to run

I am running vista 32-bit Home Premium edition. I finished the speech recognition session setting the microphone. I finished the tutorial.  However, no voice recognition program continues to run. When I run the program of recognition (or when it is started automatically to the 'start-up', it starts to run and then goes into "Sleep" mode for a few seconds and then on 'Off'.  The second time, I start speech recognition he will say 'Start speech recognition' and then go directly to 'Off '.  When I click on the microphone icon in an effort to implement the program "On", I get an error of speech recognition that says "Please restart speech recognition. It is said in the body of the error message "speech recognition has encountered an error. Please restart speech recognition to ensure that you can continue to use the speech recognition".   When I restart speech recognition error repeats.

Although the speech recognition tutorial seemed to work, the real speech recognition program doesn't have.

Does anyone know a fix for this problem? Thank you.

  • How to install speech recognition on Windows 7?

Original title: installation recanation of voice

need help with the installation of yhe language

You can use your voice to control your computer. You can say commands that the computer responds to, and you can dictate text to your computer. For more information on what you can do with Windows speech recognition, see what can I do with speech recognition?

Before you start using speech recognition, you must set up your computer for Windows speech recognition. There are three steps to set up speech recognition: set up your microphone, learn how to talk to your computer, and train your computer to understand your speech.

Before you begin, make sure that your microphone is connected to your computer.

    Configure your microphone

    1. Click Start, type: speech recognition., then press on enter

    2. Click Configure microphone.

    3. Follow the instructions on the screen.

      Note

      • The success of speech recognition is directly related to the quality of the microphone you use. The two most common types of microphones for speech recognition are headset microphones and desktop microphones. Headset microphones are better suited to work with speech recognition because they are less likely to pick up outside sounds.

Learn how to talk to your computer

    1. Windows comes with a speech training tutorial to teach you the commands used with speech recognition. The tutorial takes about 30 minutes to complete. Follow the steps below to run the voice training tutorial:

    2. Click Start, type: speech recognition., then press on enter

    3. Click on take speech tutorial.

    4. Follow the instructions in the speech recognition tutorial.

Train your computer to recognize your speech

    1. Speech recognition uses a profile unique voice to recognize your voice and spoken commands. As you use speech recognition, your voice profile becomes more detailed, which should improve the ability of your computer to understand you.

    2. Click Start, type: speech recognition., then press on enter

    3. Click Train your computer to better understand you.

    4. Follow the instructions on the screen.

    Note

    • Speech recognition is available in English, French, Spanish, German, Japanese, simplified Chinese and traditional Chinese.

  • Speech recognition does not recognize dictated.

Recognization of speech is dictated not recognized as dictation, includes only orders. It is a novelty because when I started using it it worked fine. The microphone is very good because he always hears commands and responds correctly. Any ideas? Please, I beg you.

    Hi Mlee,

Control Panel-> speech-> speech options Advance open pick and choose the language (English in the United States). Try the word by far.

There are several ways to correct mistakes made during dictation. You can say "correct that" to correct the last thing you said. To correct a single word, say "correct" followed by the word that you want to correct. If the word appears several times, all instances are highlighted and you can choose the one you want to correct. You can also add words that are often misunderstood or not recognized by using the speech dictionary.

To use the alternates Panel dialog box

    1. Click to open Windows speech recognition.

      • To correct a single word, say "correct" followed by the word that you want to correct.

    4. In the Group of alternates dialog box, say the number next to the item you want, and then on "OK".

      Note

      • To change a selection, in the Group of alternates dialog box, say "Spell" followed by the number of the item you want to change, click 'OK '.

    Use the speech dictionary

    1. Click to open Windows speech recognition.

    2. Say "start listening" or click the Microphone button to start the listening mode.

    3. Say "open Speech Dictionary."

    4. Do one of the following:

    Hello Mary,.

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

This problem may occur if the Microphone settings are incorrect or if the Windows speech recognition is damaged.

    Method 1:
The problem may occur if the microphone is not quite near to capture your voice. Make sure that the microphone is positioned close enough and you speak directly into it.

If the problem persists, try Method 2,

    Method 2:
The microphone input level may be too low. Make sure that the microphone input level is set correctly. To adjust the microphone entry levels follow the steps.

    a. right click on the Start button and click on Panel.

    b. click on her , and then click the recording tab.

    c. double click on the microphone you are using speech recognition.

    d. click the levels tab and then use the slider to set the input level for the microphone.

I am more than willing to go through the arduous task of moving my mouse on the button "Home" on my browser by clicking. PLEASE DO STOP!

When I'm in a web browser and I breathe, click with the mouse, or well to adjust my chair, for some reason recognition speech which recognises as 'home '. Is it possible to simply disable this command?  PLEASE DO STOP!

WSR, Windows speech recognition, is listening to the sounds of the words. However, the outside sounds in the environment are often interpreted as words if they enter the audio stream between your mouth and the microphone. The best answer is to eliminate these sounds in the audio stream. If you use a microphone to field far as those built in the computer/Tablet notebook, trying to say stop listening when you dictate not and then start listening when you want dictate or issue commands. Alternatively you can hold down the Windows key and tap the control key to act as a toggle On / Off.

For better accuracy, you should use a good noise canceling with close talking microphone. The simplest are those found on headphones with the MIC at the end of a boom in wire. If you already use a good noise protection headset, place the element of the microphone at the end of the boom on the corner of your mouth. This will prevent noise into the audio stream. • Speech recognition freezes and requires the restart.

SPEECH RECOGNITION - 2nd try. I am a disabled person who is 85% dependent on Microsoft speech recognition to communicate in writing. Two weeks ago my SR program would sometimes freeze and require rebooting. Today, it will stop working every 2 to 3 hours (I find other similar problem, still no solution) and requires the restart of the plant. He was originally also page redirect at will, which results in the loss of previously entered data. Needless to say that my program of speech recognition works pretty well right now. These last two days have been exhausting, trying to keep the operational programme. Can anyone offer advice, assistants, suggestions or point me down as a path to success?
    Sincerely, Stan

    Hello

    1. you did recently on the computer until the problem started?

It seems that speech recognition works badly or something is broken. There are a few steps that we can try to solve this problem.
Step 1: Sfc scanner to find and repair corrupt system files.
    1. Click Start, click principally made programs, accessories, right-click Guest, and then click Run as administrator.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.
    2. type the following command and press ENTER:
    sfc/scannow

The sfc/scannow command. analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.
For more information, see this link: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/929833

Step 2: If the problem persists, perform the clean boot to find out what is causing the problem.
Follow step 1 to disable all non-Microsoft services and check if the voice recognition works great: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/929135

If the voice recognition program always freezes, then follow step 2 to step 6 to know what causes this problem: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/929135

Follow step 7 to start the computer in normal mode: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/929135

Post back with the results, so that we can help you further if necessary.

    Kind regards

  • Speech recognition profiles while running a program with administrator privileges.

My question is: what voice profile would be a program that is required to run as Administrator allows to refer to my voice.

Basically, I'm running as a normal user with no administrative privileges. I use a program called VoiceAttack that "must", "Run as Administrator". So whenever I run VoiceAttack, I need to enter the administrator password to start the program. I ask because I noticed I had to re-enter my registration for VoiceAttack when I went to run as usual "Run as Administrator". Would this mean that he will then use the recognition to the speech of the Admin profile, or to use the current user profile. If I run VoiceAttack and a word like MSWord editor and try to dictate, they are / can be radically different to represent what I'm saying. I want to train the right profile for the accuracy of the recognition the most.

Yes, use more, I mean use it for daily activities. Write emails, opening programs, etc. Also, just play with it! If you need to fix something, say "correct that" If you just said, or ' correct * word * "if it is somewhere else in the document. He will learn from this mistake in fact and is unlikely to do it again. For more information (and help the computer you understand as well), making the speech recognition tutorial. I really find it very useful. It works in the background while you talk could cause problems like unwanted things being typed and programs opening/closing randomly.

    Victor,

In Word 2007 and 2010, the Page indicator is in the lower left corner of the document window. I said, "show numbers". Number 85 flashed on the Page and I say: '85. " Then the discovery of a dialog box replace opens the tab go to say something don't like, "sign more (give a short break) space 10" or "minus sign (pause) no space 20" after entering the + 10 or - 20 etc. say, "go to" ".

  • Qosmio X 500 does not hear me using speech recognition / microphone

    Hello!

I often use the voice recognition feature Win7 Ultimate.
However, since a few days, the computer does what I say more.

Now, the built-in microphone is very insensitive: I have to get as close as in 10-15cm from the microphone in order to get acceptable results. I don't know what has changed... never had problems before.

When I try to do speech recognition, training my computer just can't hear me (at least it seems that Yes)...

I don't know what to do...

    Thanks for your help!

    Hello

I think you should check the volume level of the microphone.
Go to control panel of-> sound-> recording tab

Here you can see the Microphone device.
Now, check it and click on the properties button
Now new window pops up and here you have to choose the 3nd tab
Here, you can increase the volume of the microphone.

  • Speech recognition works on my iPhone 6 for the purposes of Google, but not to send SMS or e-mail features.  Why?

My iPhone 6 works fine except a feature.  When I use speech recognition to enter text or compose an email, the hourglass turns for a bit, but nothing fills the field.  On the contrary, when I use the same function on my Google app, it works great.  No idea why it's happening or how to fix it?

    Hello PWBMN,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

I see that speech recognition in the Messages does not work correctly.  To start, I suggest that you force the Messages app to quit smoking and then follow the directions below.

After each step, see if you still need help:

    1. Make sure that your iOS device has an Internet connection via Wi - Fi or cellular data.
    2. On your iOS device, make sure that Siri is enabled under settings > general > Siri.
    3. Restart your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch.
    4. On your iOS device, go to settings > general > Siri and turn off Siri. Then turn on again.
    5. Ensure that the microphones on your device are not blocked. For example, if your device has a protection case, remove it.
    6. If you use an iOS device, try to use Siri with headphones. If the works of Siri, get more help with the microphones on your device.
    7. Contact Apple support.

Use Siri on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

    Take care.

  • In the speech recognition dictation does not

While he was trying to use the dictation in speech recognition, no speech text can't.  Was working fine before.  No change to the system, but has several different restorations using a variety of dates spanning back to the initial installation of Vista.  (It was the 10th time that I had to reinstall the OS since I got this computer...)  I am running Vista Home Premium 32 bit SP2, on a Dell XPS410.  None of the posts I've seen here have worked, but I wonder if anyone else has tried the spoken command "Start typing.  When I do that, it will convert text spoke of the individual letters but still will not recognize whole words, obviously not a very useful thing if you dictate a letter.  Normal order, IE. Start Notepad or grid of mouse or scroll work etc fine, but tempting product just dictation one what was that answer, or it will try to open a program, it thinks I want to.  I had re form this feature for every installation, it gets old.  All my drivers are up to date.  Once I did a fresh install and all updates from microsoft and dell and used the computer for anything, have not installed any third-party software be it, simply left the system power and ran only chkdsk and other utilities MS once a week or two and, voila! from now, the thing is finished installing, he already had errors listed in Event Viewer.  After 3 months of abot, he operated with about 60 percent of its features to work, the non-functional remains.  Does not require any intervention from the user to the first slide on the ultimate BSOD crash, which, as always results in a resettlement, as nobody on the planet can provide much in the way of answers or help.  I use computers and Microsoft products since 1983 on a daily basis and keep waiting and hope something that works as advertised, but already I see problems of the usual kind happening in windows 7.  Typical.   Ah, sorry, lost in a mug shot here.  Any suggestions on the problem of the dictation?

I'm going to assume that you use a headset microphone any. If so and you are using a laptop with a built-in microphone, go to the sound control panel and disable the built-in microphone so that he is not inadvertently picking your voice as well.

About the command "start typing", it is intended to allow you to start dictating individual letters as a, b, c, and so on. It is not supposed to be used to capture the General dictation. Before you try to dictate, make sure to disable this mode by saying "stop typing.
