Speech recognition CONTINUES to press the key "Home".

Speech recognition is pretty accurate, but often run unwanted orders. In particular, when I'm in a web browser and I breathe, click the mouse, or adjust my chair, for some reason speech recognition which recognizes it as 'home '. Is it possible to simply disable this command? I NEVER want to use speech recognition for this. I am more than willing to go through the arduous task of moving my mouse on the button "Home" on my browser by clicking. PLEASE DO STOP!

WSR, Windows speech recognition, is listening to the sounds of the words. However, the outside sounds in the environment are often interpreted as words if they enter the audio stream between your mouth and the microphone. The best answer is to eliminate these sounds in the audio stream. If you use a microphone to field far as those built in the computer/Tablet notebook, trying to say stop listening when you dictate not and then start listening when you want dictate or issue commands. Alternatively you can hold down the Windows key and tap the control key to act as a toggle On / Off.

For better accuracy, you should use a good noise canceling with close talking microphone. The simplest are those found on headphones with the MIC at the end of a boom in wire. If you already use a good noise protection headset, place the element of the microphone at the end of the boom on the corner of your mouth. This will prevent noise into the audio stream. • Windows speech recognition - Escape from "press keys".

It only took a few days for my computer learn the sound of my voice and for me to make a useful dictation.  The computer correctly typed several lines of the speech that stretched completely out of the window of choice. In fact, I was surprised how it was.  Then the window of the word started saying "press key" and it would only be of type numbers and simple letters. How to get to resume by typing in phrases and whole words?

It seems like if you inadvertently entered 'typing mode' at one point by saying "start typing" or "start by pressing the keys". You can exit this mode by saying 'stop typing' or 'stop pressing the keys '.

Im running windows vista Home premium 64 x

Just recently, I discovered that when I press the keys 'w' and 'space' at the same time, one or the other does not.

It is a huge problem for me because I'm in the game. I did a little online research and came across the term "ghost image". It seems that the only solution to this problem is to get a new keyboard. I came here to see if there are other solutions to this other than buying a new keyboard.

If I had to buy a new keyboard, how it would work for a laptop? I connected via usb or to replace the one that currently, I built do they buy?

    Thanks in advance

    Hey AndyZ1000,

Unfortunately, it is a hardware limitation. This has to do with the way the keys are arranged in tables. Here are a few links that explain it well.

How can battery Exchange - I remove the limit on the PC keyboard keys?

    Microsoft - keyboard ghosts explained

I would recommend to get an external USB keyboard that has bearing N - key (NKRO). Some keyboards "gamer" can be a bit expensive. If I had to get a new keyboard, I go to a store and find the one that says NKRO on the box and remove and test it. If not that, then I would check on the return policy for mixed open-box keyboards and test at home on the games you play with that.

I hope this information helps! Let me know what you decide to do and the results!

  • Aspire V3 - 771g - Tap/left click on delay after pressing the keys on the keyboard (some keys only)

It is a strange problem that I have, I got the laptop computer now for a month or two, and I'm sure it makes it I got it. The problem is pretty much the title. I can't press the letters or numbers and then left click without a 1 second or so delay, I also can not left click at all if I hold down without letting go of taken, once I do the delay still occurs. I can press the keys of arrows then left click without thin delay (where left-click is delayed / disabled right click still works.) I know that the clicks get detected as the tray icon still points out the tactile/left button when it is used.

Some information that may be required. The driver is more recent than the one on the download section for this laptop, but I had tried both and still happens. (Also tried uninstalling both and using the default Microsoft drivers but still no luck.) Keyboard supplied with no driver and no listed on downloads. Also, "Rejection of TP" is already disabled.

Come here for some reason that I can't edit the first post.

I decided that I was going to send my laptop for repairs that my arrow began to act ladle which meant that I could hardly play a game at all. I thought as a last attempt I would completely reset my computer using restore integrated Windows 8 and it worked. I can now use the keyboard and click at the same time. Although the up arrow is still a little shady, I'm happy. I thought that I would be post that incase someone else had made this experience so that they can try and so know that it worked for someone else, if you've had the experience and it does not work so good luck to find a solution.

Update - I've narrowed it down, the problem is Windows 8.1 Overview. (Which is in beta so problems are expected). If you are considering upgrading to windows windows 8.1 8 with this model of laptop, I would strongly suggest against it.

    Hello
    When exactly the problem occur?

Follow the steps below and check if that helps.

    Step 1:

Test the issue in safe mode and check if the keyboard is blocked.

    Step 2:

If your computer very well in Safe Mode functions, you can put your system to boot and check if any third party or any service application is causing the problem and therefore the computer to freeze.

Put your boot system helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. If so, you can go ahead and disable or uninstall the same.

Once the system is in a clean boot state, check if the computer continues to block or not.

  • HP 15.6 laptop Smart Touch: cannot move my mouse while pressing the keys

Hello, I play a lot of games on my laptop and most of them need to press the keys on the laptop, while simultaneously using the mouse pad. For some reason any, whenever I use the mouse keys crashes until I'm removing my hand from the key. Is any way to stop this?

    Jayblazing, welcome to the forum.

I am not sure that would cause your problem.  However, I would like to recommend that you try to use a USB mouse for games.

As you can see in my signature below, I have a laptop HP Omen's game.  I use a Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500 with her.  It is not the absolute solution, but it is easier to use the touchpad.  At least, for me.

  • Speech recognition does not match the language of the User Interface in Windows 8.1

How can I update my speech reconition language that matches my user interface language? Thank you

    Hello

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft Community.

I apologize for the inconvenience caused to you.

I understand that the problem with speech recognition does not correspond with the user interface in Windows 8.1

This issue would have occurred due to some damaged system registry entries.

Please provide me with the following information to better understand the issue.

    1. What language is speech recognition uses in the system?

    2. What is the base language that is installed in the system?

Note: Speech recognition is available in the following languages: English (United States & United Kingdom), French, German, Japanese, Mandarin (Chinese simplified and Chinese traditional) and Spanish.

You can also check out the link below.

  • When you press the keys on my keyboard I get numbers instead of letters.

    NEEN HELP WITHOUT KEY

screwed up keyboards I press the u key and the number 4 comes out, right now I'm using the KEYBOARD of SCREEN on that used ON ACER I got 15/02/12. CAN SOMEONE HELP ME?            P.S. THANKS JAY-MAT.

    Hello Gerome

You have activated the NumLock feature on your system. From what I found on Acer and by turning off NumLock, you need to hold the function key 'Fn' correspondent and press the "F11". This should disable NumLock and the keys to normal. If this is not the case, look at your keyboard until you find a key with a symbol that has a number and a lock. Press and hold the function key and press the key.
  • Windows speech recognition stops randomly with the error: «the instruction at 0x6434c5e9 referenced memory at 0x0ef2ea80.» The memory could not write. »

Original title: "the instruction at 0x6434c5e9 referenced memory at 0x0ef2ea80. The memory could not write. "And the instruction at 0x6434c5e9 referenced memory at 0x0ef2ea80. The memory could not be written.

I have Windows Vista and I use speech recognition Windows, a lot of things. I have used it for years and have really learned to rely on it! Unfortunately, since a recent upgrade of windows installed, Windows speech recognition stops randomly in the middle of using it and it gives me the following error message: «the instruction at 0x6434c5e9 referenced memory at 0x0ef2ea80.» The memory could not write. "And then it stops. When I open it again, it seems to open normally and it will work for varying amounts of time before it does again and I get a different error message.

I tried to restart and it did not help at all. Please, can someone help me? Please?

    Hi Alicia,.

1 update you tried to install?

    Method 1:

You can try to run a SFC scan and check.

This problem may occur if a system file is missing or damaged.

You can refer to the method-the System File Checker tool in the following article:

How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

    Method 2:

    Step 1:

Check the updates that are installed recently.

You can view the following link to check the installed updates:

See the Windows updates are installed

    Step 2:

You can uninstall these updates and try to install the update one at a time and check for the issue.

    Remove an update

    Method 3:

You can also try a system restore to a restore point before the updates were installed.

Note: When you perform the system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

To run the system restore, you can consult the following link:

Hi TommieZook, I see that this is your first post here.  Welcome to our community!

As for your question, there are few parameters that you might need to check.  #1 is the most likely:

    1. Power settings for your screen
Press + W to find settings, and then type power to find and open Power Options.  On the left, click "choose when turn off the display" and set the timer accordingly.
    2. Sleep for your PC settings
On the same page of the Power Options, click 'choose when the computer sleeps' to set the timer as well.
    3. Screen saver
Windows 8 is not the screensaver on initially, but you can see these settings too.  For easy access, go to the desktop and right click, then choose Customize.  Choose screensaver downstairs and make sure that the setting of the timer is to your liking.
