  I have Windows Vista and I use speech recognition Windows, a lot of things. I have used it for years and have really learned to rely on it! Unfortunately, since a recent upgrade of windows installed, Windows speech recognition stops randomly in the middle of using it and it gives me the following error message: «the instruction at 0x6434c5e9 referenced memory at 0x0ef2ea80.» The memory could not write. "And then it stops. When I open it again, it seems to open normally and it will work for varying amounts of time before it does again and I get a different error message.

• Speech recognition turns off randomly

  My speech recognition Windows 7 randomly turns off. It happens sometimes after only a few minutes and other times it stays on for a while. Seems to happen faster when it is in mode ensures that when the microphone is open to dictation but happens eventually in any case. Already closed the power management which did not help but do not know what else to try. Would not be a big deal, but I am disabled and every time it turns off it is difficult for me to use the mouse to wake it up. It works fine for me when it stays on, but it's pretty useless when it goes off after 5 minutes. I know it is integrated in Windows 7 and cannot be uninstalled and reinstalled but I was wondering if there was a way to run a repair or anything else I could try? Thank you

  I suggest you try Power different configuration to see if done setting a difference.
  There is also a powercfg command-line utility that could help with some configuration settings that you can apply.

  Go to the command prompt, right click and select "Run as Administrator" and then make some queries with the switches.

• Left speaker not working is not after the use of windows speech recognition

  I use Windows 7 Professional. Yesterday, I used Windows speech recognition & after reboot my left speaker stopped working. I checked with headphones, but not sound in the left speaker. I uninstalled the audio drivers & installed back, but still no change. I'm sure that there are no hardware problem. I think I need to recreate the image on my OS. Please suggest if there are other options other than the new image of my laptop

  The problem may occur due to the sound on your computer settings.

  Check the levels of the speakers, see the following steps:

  1. Type in mmsys.cpl in the Windows 7 start menu search box and press ENTER.
  2. In the sound Properties window, double-click on the speakers (icon) option.
  3. Then, in the newly opened speakers properties
  4. Double-click speakers.
  5. Under playback, double-click speakers.
  6. Click the levels tab, and then click the Balance.
  7. Make sure that the left speaker volume is set properly.

  I just installed a headset on our computer to Windows 8. The headphones and the microphone work. However, when I try to put in place the speech recognition and click on 'Configuration of the microphone' I get the following error:

  I am trying to get this to work for my wife who just had shoulder surgery and is unable to use his right arm.

  The entire helmet worked in Control Panel-> sound. Speech recognition program would not start. What I did uninstall all of my speakers and microphone in Windows, move before struggling back faced sheets, re-start, re - install the driver audio HP and shazaam, now it works.

  WSR, Windows speech recognition, is integrated into the operating system, Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8. You should be able to dictate in Microsoft Word or Outlook. You must start WSR before Word or Outlook.

  I think you should check the volume level of the microphone.
  Go to control panel of-> sound-> recording tab

  Here you can see the Microphone device.
  Now, check it and click on the properties button
  Now new window pops up and here you have to choose the 3nd tab
  Here, you can increase the volume of the microphone.

  I am unable to get the speech recognition program 7.3 Preffered Dragon Naturally Speaking version to operate successfully on my laptop Satellite A30 P4, using Windows XP as the operating system. It works fine on my PC of similar specs as the Satellite A30. Speech recognition is very poor indeed with the Toshiba laptop. He was sent to the seller twice, but the problem is still not resolved. I know that this Dragon program works fine on other laptops.

  It's specific software problem and it is not easy to tell what can be the problem. In my opinion, it may be that his card on this unit has no performance you want. Sorry but I have no other explanation.

  I have a Pavilion HPE-210Y running Windows 7.  I got this machine since June 2010.  I just found out that hp has included an application of speech recognition with this computer.  I installed it without any difficulty.  The app offers a tutorial.  I loaded the tutorial and found it very useful.  I stopped at halfway through the intention to come back after lunch.  When I returned to the computer I could not find the tutorial.  I spent hours trying to find it.  I'll definitely be grateful to the person who can tell me how to get there again.
