  I have no disc for reinstallation of Win7 or any similar to disks. My laptop is out of warranty. I know that I have the Local disk drive (c :)) and also the recovery disk (D :).)  My hard drive is a TOSHIBA MK6465GSX.

  Some of my questions are when I take off the Toshiba HDD that will of course remove the (C :) drive BUT it will also delete my recovery disk (D :)? * see link below for what players I have *)

  Thanks for your reply.  I burned a CD of Win 7 repair my daughter and was able to do a system restore, and I think that everything is fine now!  Phew.  Dodged a bullet because I had neglected to save.  I am all backed up now so if something happens, I won't be as frantic.

  I have Toshiba L500 and I have problem with my software. When I start windows the PC freezes and I see a black screen and the mouse. I tried to start it in safe mode, and then restarting the PC just and safe mode does not work.

  I have already experienced some minor problems with my HP laptop, as crashes and freezes and error startup. Now, yesterday I came home vacation and discovered that my PC did "feel well" when I used it. Sound had been delayed and delayed, processes and programs froze frequently, including the Task Manager.
