Win7 does not start

I had to replace the power supply.  Once I got Win7 power began to fail.  Firstly it would stop the execution and the PC would freeze.  I need to start hard.  Sometimes it turns on and other times nothing.  I had every error screen of the BIOS, another at the botton showing a crashdump and black safe or Normal screen.  When it comes on, I get a screen that shows ASUS Express Gate at the base.  I tried to fix it with a local guy, he has been here twice and returned.  There are sometimes intermitten it works for an hour and a few times a day or two.

If you found the error of the forms "from the BIOS' while the machine needed more of a replacement for"power pack ".

Most probably he has burned several components.  Maybe something in the motherboard.

What is a 'power pack', anyway?  It's a laptop and it is the battery?  What is a power source?

Well, I think I've reached the beginning of what may be a serious problem. I've been away for 9 months and my laptop had been stored in his bag all the time not used with the battery disconnected. I went 2 weeks ago and it had been fine until last Saturday. I started it upwards and once the logon screen Win7 and logging frozen inside, and the screen went black. I have it turned off and restarted, and then he came up with the error message "No. Boot Device" as if Win7 is no longer installed. I ran several virus scanners and they came back without anything, I'm sure that this is not a virus, I mean I have not yet downloaded something long because before my departure other than all of the updates, I missed. I tried to reset the BIOS to factory default and use PC tune-up AVG to fix all the errors, but I'm still having this issue.  Funny, it is sometimes the laptop runs and sometimes it won't so I think this load default Win7 will progressively get worse? Not really sure cause I'm not very technical with laptops.

I tried to run the test drive in the BIOS when it does not load, but it is just like "No hard drive detected" every time, but it passes the test of memory.

The reason why I'm here is to know what are my options to resolve this problem, so far the only thing that I can think of is to replace the HARD drive and reinstall Win7 but I want to make it as painless as possible, or see what others can suggest.

I have no disc for reinstallation of Win7 or any similar to disks. My laptop is out of warranty. I know that I have the Local disk drive (c :)) and also the recovery disk (D :).)  My hard drive is a TOSHIBA MK6465GSX.

Some of my questions are when I take off the Toshiba HDD that will of course remove the (C :) drive BUT it will also delete my recovery disk (D :)? * see link below for what players I have *)

Should I replace the HARD drive I have to reinstall Win7 correct?

    Hello

A safe and fast way is to clone your HARD drive when it is until running, it means you have the same OS, drivers, software. All you need is the same size or more (capacity) of HARD drive and cloning software. You can find some free cloning software in the following list:

    I hope this helps.

    Hello

I have Toshiba L500 and I have problem with my software. When I start windows the PC freezes and I see a black screen and the mouse. I tried to start it in safe mode, and then restarting the PC just and safe mode does not work.

After that, I played the restore CD but the same as safe mode... When I run mode safe mode with the recovery CD, I get something, but my option is to wipe the entire hard drive. Then I tried to start Ubuntu Livecd to take my files but the computer restart again... I have no ideas if anyone can help me is welcomed :)

    Hello

If you want to save the date, the recovery disc won't help you.
The defined recovery disk notebook to factory settings, which means that the HARD drive will be formatted.

If you need the data from the HARD drive, you could remove the laptop HARD drive and could connect to another computer using the USB to SATA (2.5 USB enclosure) controller.
In this case, you could get access to the files on the HARD drive but it will work only if the HARD drive is not defective

  • Windows 10 restore to Win7 does not start

Installed (upgraded) to Windows 10 and he ran very well in the beginning.  After a few days it started to act buggy (taskbar has stopped responding, etc.) so I decided to go back to Windows 7.

I started to restore and he arrived at the final stage, and he said he could not complete the operation - he couldn't fix my Win7 startup file.

So I tried a system repair from the installation discs for Win7 Hm Pemium.  First, he said he repaired the system - but it would still not start upward.  Got a 7F error BSOD Stop (0d, 0, 0, 0).  Do you have the system repair again and now it is in an infinite loop and reset my system start-up.

I called MS Tech support Win and downloaded a Win10 ISO.  A ran this system reconstruction/repair - and it only gives me the opportunity to do a repair (recovered) Win 7.  So I tried it and it's still in a boot loop.

I suggest that you use your Windows 7 Home Premium installation disc and perform a custom installation. Perform a custom installation just in case you have data on the drive that you would recover as:

  • Re: Tecra S5 does not start

After the upgrade to win7 and sometimes having a blue screen when you start the following happened.

After blue screen once more, laptop is not starting at all.

The only thing that happens is that I see the upstartscreen (in touch with tomorrow TOSHIBA) and the icons at the bottom of the screen indicating the readers. Nothing happens any more, it does not start doe.

I can change by tapping F12 in a new boot through the CD rom boot procedure, but there is also no effect.

Also, it is not possible to enter the bios (esc + F1).

The keyboard works because, after a while each touch result is a short "beep".

I removed the battery for a while and tried again with no results.

If I can put my laptop by the ore basket is there a possibility to bring it to life

    Thanks in advance, Jos

On this virtual path, it is not easy to offer an accurate diagnosis, but somehow, I feel THAT BIOS is doomed.
Unplug the AC adapter / CC, remove the battery and press the power for 20 seconds. After doing this only connect the power supply and restart your laptop.

I don't have this model of laptop and I'm not sure to get into the BIOS but try also with F2.

  • My C50 - B Satellite does not start from the HARD drive

    Details of the machine: -.

    Model number: PSCMLA-03F07Q
    Serial number: XE343127P

Computer does not start from hard drive. No error message, just the start Toshiba at the end of self-test screen.

Sometimes a reinstall of the operating system seems to correct the problem, but then he would go again, now the problem is consistent.

I reduced the possibilities to a fault of BIOS, reasons.

System boots from USB with no problems. Installation of operating systems is done without error. SMART hard drive data indicates a perfectly healthy hard drive. Memcheck will return no error.

The obvious solution is to reload the BIOS, just reset it doesn't help. But that is the problem.

1.4 BIOS update that the Australian site offers is a Windows program and the computer cannot start Windows.

Obvious answer is to use a bootable USB key with an operating system 'live' on this issue, but all of these systems are Linux and the update of the BIOS is a Windows program. So much for smart solutions.

Downloaded Bios version 1.7 of the European site but the iso inside the rar file is empty, 25 MB in size but nothing in there according to Linux. Tried to run his program on a Win7 64 bit computer and it returns an error that it could not find the correct iso file.

I submitted a support request by email to Toshiba, but they believe that it could take three days to get a response, so I thought I would ask here as well. Can someone tell me please to a working copy of the latest BIOS update disk for a laptop Satelite C50 - B? Note: this model does not have a CD player so iso should be compatible with USB boot.

    See you soon,.

    Andrew.

    Hello

From my experience that I n think that BIOS update is the final solution for you. When you set the default settings of the BIOS disk HARD appears correctly in the BIOS settings?
HARD drive is also offered and listed as boot device when you enter in the start using F12 at startup menu?

What happens when you start using recovery image installation created recovery USB key (I hope that you have created a)?

Offer BIOS updates are versions of WIN and can be performed by running the Windows operating system.

  • Novo Button does not start in OKR but in Windows

    Hi all

I wonder if anyone can help me do my work with Novo Button.

I have a Z50-70 who came without OS - if I want to install the OKR feature manually.

I use Win7 Professional with OKR Engineering ed. 7.0.

Here are the steps that I realized so far:

1 installed Windows in UEFI (questionnaires properly as TPG) mode

    2. run OKR ed. Engineering and chose Option 2 to create the partition LENOVO_PART

3 realized that the score was not hidden and concealed the partition using diskpart

    4. run OKR ed. Engineering and choose Option 3 (difficulty ASD)

5 tried to start using Novo Button, choose "Recovery" - but the machine still boots into Windows after that

See attached screenshots of my windows diskmanager and properties of the partition LENOVO_PART of diskpart.

You have an idea why my machine still does not start in environment OKR?

    ***

There is a strange thing that can be causing it - I'm not sure tho:

Despite having installed Windows in UEFI mode, I need to enable Legacy Boot in the BIOS. When you enable "UEFI" only, the machine is not able to boot and returns errors

    • "Boot of Windwos Manager has been blocked by the current security policy."
    • "Default Boot Device missing or startup failed. Insert the recovery media and press a key. Then select "Boot Manager" to choose a new device Boot or Boot Recovery Media"

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance!

Note for someone else running on this problem:

I finally got to work changing to MBR EFI - thank you for all your help!

I got a virus in my computer a few weeks ago and I managed to clean it away. In fact when I use the services.msc program, that's not even be on the list here. Firewall does not normally or the other. It just shows the message "Update your firewall settings" and when I click on the box "Use the settings recommeded" it shows me an error message "Windows Firewall cannot change some of your settings for error code 0 x 80070424.

    I need some advice:

Can you direct me to a HP solution or tell me what I'm doing wrong?

I opened Control Panel - backup and restore and set up a backup schedule Win 7. Created a backup drive, and according to the instructions, a system image on a separate hard drive. This has been created successfully.

I have so successfully by the operating system, created an ERD in Windows 7 bootable, the screen guests said that this disc could be used to start the computer when you cannot start the operating system due to serious errors. This disk allows you to restore the system from a system image created using backup and restore or use other recovery tools to correct the problem that prevents windows from starting.

The system does not start on this disc. I did two restorations of the factory and went through the steps above, five times without success.

When you try to start the system with the Windows 7 repair disk the following steps were taken:

1 Win7 disc repair, system rebooted, you press ESC, selected the Boot Manager, select DVD disc and received the following message: boot nonsystem disc error.

2 rebooted system. escape, Startup Manager, then selected sata2 with no luck. Same error message as in (1).

    Thank you

    Hi Dave,.

    Thanks again for your help.

Bought a WD a terabyte HD Executed a copy sector by sector, using Paragon... It was quick (about ten minutes-amazing) and I answer to you, now, using the WD HD clone.

Awesome! I finally took possession of this computer.

I would say that the problem has been resolved. Windows 7 repair disc will not work on EFI systems and here's workaround.

    Thanks again.

  • DHCP service does not start after change of vmnetdhcp.conf

    Hello

My installation includes a host running windows 8.1 pro and guest is an Oracle Linux 6.5 with NAT. As I searched for a static IP address for the comments I went ahead and added the following to the end of vmnetdhcp.conf

    host computer2 {}

    Hardware ethernet 00: 0C: 28:D9:D5:95

    fixed address - 192.168.37.3

    }

As soon as I try to restart the dhcp service falls down. Even if I just restart machine job changes, the DHCP service does not start. When I do a reset of the network through the network Publisher configuration and simply accept a dynamic allocation of IP address to things normal race comments. The same configuration works fine on Windows 7 Pro host. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello

Thank you for using our product.

I tried the same set upward on Win7 and Win8.1 host, both of them work well.

So I guess that there is a syntax error when setting up vmnetdhcp.conf.

Maybe missing ';' at the end of each line?

An example would be like this:

    host computer2 {}

    Hardware ethernet 00: 0C: 28:D9:D5:95;

    fixed-address 192.168.37.3;

    }

Please check and try again with kindness.

    Thank you!

  • XPS 8700 - new mSata does not start unless...

I had my 8700 for a little more than a year and from the beginning, I put a 256 gb 2.5 SSD and everything has been good... unfortunately I ran out of room so I'm a 512 GB mSata and installed with the normal hiccups (bios setting, etc.) and for the most part, it works fine... installed win7 - all my programs games, media and all that. Well, now that I have everything there I was trying to format the original 1 TB hdd which served the initial boot (later converted to my games drive) drive and it refuses to format 'windows cannot format the system disk partition' I went into the BIOS and noticed his 1st listed in the order of the boot sequence. OK... so I put the mSata as first on the boot sequence and people with other disabilities 2 boot sequence HARD drives... Unfortunately, after that it does not start, say no boot device available. I tried other settings and the only way I can get my OS to load is if I put it on AHCI - legacy - then set my empty 1 TB (manually remove games) under the 1st boot device and set my msata #2. I want to use the 1 TB in a different computer and I want all my available bays opened for larger storage players when I need... but most of all I want to solve it because he needs to solve... Someone has an idea what I am doing wrong? any help is appreciated.

The boot sequence is dynamic, so it does not matter if change you it in the bios. Each listed item will be sought for the boot files according to what is currently installed. Because your startup files are not on the ssd, it will never start to this player. Windows must be installed on the ssd from scratch, so you lose everything and have to reinstall everything. If you have now works well, leave it alone and save yourself a lot of trouble. Startup files are still on the original drive.
