• What is a good practice to put the menu/navigation bar in the master page?

  My navigation bar is placed in the header of my a master page, and it seems to work, except on pages more long where scrolling is necessary... because the items eventually pass my navigation bar.  Can I use the the scroll tool to have the items disappear or slide off the screen when they hit the bar of navigation... but this technique does not work on big items... I really need the scrollbar elements appear like they are disappearing under the navigation bar. I come from a background of After Effects, and within the EA it would be treated by a matte. Is there a similar function in Muse? The only other alternative I see manually put my navigation bar on each page. Yikes! I hope that there is another solution that I forget. Thank you!

  Use the layers panel to resolve this problem.

  Go to the page master, create a new layer, you put menu on this layer and you're done.

• Address bar of bar, toolbar, menu, navigation bar are missing, and click right does not either.

  I came across this weird problem in my browser where none of these navigation options is visible. No Menu, no tabs, nothing no address bar. I can just google something and you click on the links. Make a right-click even does not work anywhere.

  Try to open a new window (Ctrl + N) in the case where you have opened a pop-up window via JavaScript on a web page that has hidden toolbars.

  If this does not work then try to delete the sessionstore.js file in the closed Firefox with Firefox profile folder.

• Downs Spry menu horizontal bar drop no longer works?

  My apologies if my terminology is wrong, I'm new to the Web design.

  The menu bar horizontal Spry drop downs worked well in IE8/9, Firefox and Chrome, and the image below the menu bar has dropped about half inch in IE6/7.  It has been suggested that I have add overflow: hidden to my css as the container for the menu collapsed.  Now, the menu bar is still there, but the drop downs do not work in Chrome or Firefox.  They are good in IE8.  If I withdraw the statement, the drop-down list appear, but I'll be back 1/2 "gap.

  The only other thing I changed was that the image had a 40px margin as it was the only way I could achieve a gap between it and the menu bar.  Once I put the overflow: hidden in that statement was a huge gap so I removed it.

  Could someone take a look and tell me what I did wrong.

  Sorry, that it was almost 02:00 when your last post came through, in other words, bedtime.

  I just checked with IETester, http://www.my-debugbar.com/wiki/IETester/HomePageand the bar menu, not the page, is broken down when you test in Internet Explorer 5.5

  Quite good result.

• If I shut down menu + navigation bars, how can recover them without having to reboot my pc?

  (I use windows + firefox browser and what I see is my actual window + above the window, there is only the tab bar and above the tab bar of course the firefox on/of/change the size of the window-functions)

• I would like to add a feature to 'place photoshop button' for a custom menu navigation bar that I build.

  Whenever a button is in the mouse over State, I would like for a (simulated seeing that I did in photoshop) turns in a different area of the page that the button... How can I do this?

  In the example in the picture below, I would like for the red light turns on whenever the mouse is over one of the navigation buttons...

  

  One approach is to use the widget of blank publication;

  1: import your menu on your page

  2. create a widget of composition with the parameters below.

  Making sure the target area is the same size as your placed image. Import the menu image IT in the target box.

  (if you delete all triggers with the exception of the first, then add triggers after formatting, the image of the target will automatically duplicate).

  3. use your triggers and hyperlinks to your pages. (I would add the text in the boxes, delete them from the file Photoshop.)

  4. place your widget composition exactly on top of your placed image (get coordinates in the main menu)

  Make sure to disable the contours around the target area.

  

• Problems with the horizontal navigation bar Spry in IE

  Considering that the page is perfect (at least all I like) implemented in all other browsers, IE converts the spry horizontal navigation bar in vertical position. Not very practical, and I spent day (really) try to find a solution. Even contacted Microsoft here in Norway, but they are their usual me useful (i.e. not very).

  A solution is of course to use a flash homepage and tell visitors to get a decent browser (as in NOT IE), but that might be a little off.

  Would be best to find a way around the problem.

  Spry menus have integrated many hacks for IE.  When you make radical changes of styles of Spry menus without understanding what it does, it is inevitable that something will break somewhere in the chain.

• The Spry menu bar personalized with background Images

  Hello

  Is there a way to make a spry menu horizontal bar by using an image of different background of a different width for each item?  In other words, the format individually each menu item.  I'm doing a bar with drop down menus using custom images, that I created in Photoshop, but have only been able to use the same image for all the items in the menu.  Thank you.

  Each menu item will require that this is the style and the name of the class of its own.

  Each class will have to be applied to each following anchor tag:

• Muse adds navigation bar automatically the height

  I'm a newbie to Adobe Muse and I'm currently learning how to configure and customize navigation bars. I built a navigation bar that looks like I want it in Muse, but when I saw in Chrome, a horizontal bar is added to bottom, ruin my symmetry and give me a headache.

  I would appreciate it if you could tell me why this is happening, and how do I remove the lower bar so that my Menu navigation bar is perfectly symmetrical on the vertical axis. Thank you!

  Your font is a system font, which must be converted into an image to be seen on every visitor's machine. This can be seen by the small icon next to each entry in the menu.

  Replace this font by a standard policy or a web font, then maybe the problem disappeared. (The problem may be caused by converting fonts into images, which to scale proportionally when the browser window is / becomes smaller or larger.)

  If this is not the case, let us know!

  I have a page with some "child Pages" that I keep day child by adding more Pages from time to time.

  I don't know which is the correct term for that... but I would like to have a Menu/Navigation bar as shown in the image below.

  

  This Menu should be used only the Home Page with his children-Pages and every time I add children-Pages this Menu will be automatically updated.

  Is it possible within the Muse? Is there a Widget?

  Could someone explain to me how I can keep the HTML code for a (horizontal) Spry menu bar in one file? Of course, the goal is to reduce the effort to make subsequent changes in the menu to a minimum... I'm not a professional developer, but I wonder if I can do it using PHP or perhaps XML. • The Spry menu bar navigation

  I am using the Spry menu bar and have several menu on my home page items that have incorporated under them. For example, I have an element of menu 'navigate' on the home page, and the slot 'Browse' 'saw inventory"and"wish list ". I want users to be able to access the sub through the menu item "Browse" items but does not allow users to open "Browse."

• Dreamweaver CC: Layouts start CSS & missing of the Spry menu bar

  • I preset web training and our client updated for Dreamweaver CS4 Dreamweaver CC 2015. That are the CSS Starter layouts in Dreamweaver, for example the column 2 fixed, header and footer layout? I don't find it in Dreamweaver CC 2015. It was a good starting point to teach students to create a web page using one of these start CSS page layouts and then customize.
  • I also can't find the Spry menu bar to create a menu (up to three levels) bar.
  • What is the best options for me to use instead the CSS starter layouts & the Spry menu bar? Students know nothing about web design when they start with the course.

  It is more a spry menu bar, which was crap anyway. You can learn how to make a simple CSS - only menu or a menu jQuery.

  The new version of DW includes a starter starter site, which is how many sites asre built these days. Bootstrap also contains a navigation pane.

  Hi people,

  I have a large website I have built over the years and using different programs but dumped now all thse and works exclusively with Dreamweaver to maintain and improve it myself. So far, I've always had to change each element on each page separately, then upload everything to keep my now large site updated.

  I read that if I did a SSi file for my navigation menu, then I don't have to change it on every other page of my site as long as I have the pages of my site in the form of .shtml files and insert a line of Server-Side Includes in the code of my web pages. All great in theory BUT for a reason that is confusing to me there is a gap appearing at the top of the page that isn't there in the pages that aren't .shtml and have my sprymenu embedded in the code.

  Rather than fix the long code here, it might be easier to see the problem on my live pages. Please go to any page of www.dominicnatoli.com to see how the site with the spry menu in each page and then go to www.dominicnatoli.com/2011.shtml to see a newly loaded page that displays the menu in the file www.dominicnatoli.com/includes/navmenu.shtml. Interestingly, enough if I open the navmenu.shtml alone, it displays at the top of the page, but whenever I open it as embedded code on my content .shtml pages that it does not display the top of the page.

  I have not completely uploaded all site .shtml files that I have encountered this problem and if I can't fix it I'll ababndon this action plan and find an alternative so if you click on some of the menu items and it takes you to a dead end that is not in and of itself the problem that all .shtml files have been uploaded to the server again.

  I have trawled through the css and code to the best of my ability "limited" and am frustrated because I can't find my mistake. He epossibly ar of hundreds of errors in pages like this site was created using many different programs over the decades and that of my reason for trying to make this new menu management is part of my revision stragtegy who already stumbled in the first step. LOL I know say not that us if it ain't broke don't fix it, but I need to sort out a better way to editin the universally navigation menu instead of having to write code in each menu on every page so that the navigation bar be compatible wide wite.

  I would be really grateful if any of you gurus can tell me where I'm wrong so I can reproduce the solution for the rest of my pages. I don't know if the problem is in the page navmenu.shtml and his associates css or in the other with its much larger css shtml page. Thanks for any help you can give me his sort.

  I'm working on Dreamweaver CC and CS6 (this last has an extension insert Server Side Includes that does not work in CC so I tend to use CC for the major updates and the CS6 for the things of the SSI.)

  If it's done. Everything what does HTML5 and the menu ssi works on all pages AND all pages pass validation. Thanks for your help.

• Problem with IE box put white behind the spry navigation bar

  IE is also distort menu nav bar boxes in a different random order as well as to a white box behind the spry navigation bar.

  All works fine in Chrome, Safari, and Firefox.

  Does anyone know how to solve these problems?

  Do you want to say just do a div boxes style line as I want them to look in a row? What method would you use to make the color change and also enable it to have a direct link? In DW I usually use image swap behavior for a change on mouse over.
