Spyware doctor™ PC tool is retiring.

Last scan told me to download Norton to finish my 3 months with them.  Do not download Norton and PC went.  Now I don't have any antivirus with rest on 3 months subscription.  No idea how to contact PC tools?

  • Spyware Doctor is always an option for scanning of a program when I right click - even if I uninstalled!

I uninstalled Spyware Doctor (when I had Vista) but it still appears when I right-click on any program (now that I installed W7).  I was hoping it would be like by magic, erase, but no.  I have a screenshot of what I mean.  Can someone tell me how to get rid of any trace of it?  I used Reg Edit (the Windows registry editor) and deleted the file from PC Tools, but it always appears as one of the actions to be done.  TM

You can run RevoUninstaller, passing through your registry database and remove all traces of the program. Or a registry cleaner in CCleaner.

When spyware doctor™ gets up to 60%, it takes another 30 minutes to scan from there. But the main problem is when spyware doctor™ runs and another application is open as windows media player, the computer crashes and has to be restarted.

    Hi Gemma

Sorry, but I think it's absolutely wrong place for your question. By the use of the third party software you must contact the manufacturer of the software.

Only thing I can recommend is to close all applications before you start this spyware doctor™.

    Are you using Vista?
If you are, you should see it in programs and features.

  • Trojans and spyware infected my PC

    Hello

Spyware and Trojan infected my pc and new Web pages are open without my confirmation.
I installed kaspersky software auntivirus and spyware doctor but two of them could not remove the infection.

Is attached a photo of the messages that I m get on my pc every 2-3 minutes

    http://rapidshare.com/files/92072974/screen_shot.docx.html

Please help as soon as POSSIBLE, but it drives me crazy

    Thanks in advance.

I agree with Maurice. Save all your data important and make the clean OS installation using recovery delivered DVDs. After that, you can be sure that the laptop computer is not infected more.
I know that it is radical, but, in my opinion, the best method.

After a clean OS installation make sure you use an application good antivir. I can recommend you to use ANTIVIR - http://www.free-av.de/en/index.html
The application is very good and do not need a lot of resources. It runs in the background and makes updates if necessary. I use it for years and I can truly say that it is the best.

    Good luck!

  • cannot get rid of the TOOL SYSTEM

I can't get rid of spyware called system tool

The removal for tool system (aka SystemTool) process is well documented.

This means that people have got their systems infected by the malware on goal several times and practical detached until they understand the malware and how it works well enough to write a removal procedure.  They made things difficult for you.

You can mess around with other things to try that might work sometimes, or you can follow the procedure that someone has already figured out that works all the time.

If you faithfully follow the removal instructions and you still have questions, there is link at the bottom of the instructions for further help.

New HP (seven) desktop with quad processor, 6 MB of ram, Windows 7 64-bit, McAfee, Spyware Doctor.  A trial of Norton and Office 2007 that I deleted (used on site Norton removal tool).  No problems with updates until after 11/10/09.  Then updates started to not install, but I did not notice until several days ago, when my Outlook window could not open.  Happened to check the update log and saw failures after 11/10.

I tried manual downloads instead of auto.  Off McAfee when downloading.  The Windows Firewall is disabled.  Nothing has worked.  In desperation, I removed all installations and updates from 11/10 to the front.  No luck.  Removed Office Enterprise 2007 in order to recharge.  Failed to install with the following comments:

  • Satellite P200 - 1 K 9 and performance issue

I hope IM this ad in the right area...

    Hello

    I have a Satellite P200 - 1 K 9 with the following specifications:

    Intel Core 2 Duo T7700 @ 2.40 GHz CPU
    3 GB RAM
    32 bit
    Note Windows experience 4.8

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 map graphic and one
    HD sound card...

My problem is that since I bought my laptop about 7-8 months ago slowed down the performance. Of course, since then I had filled my hard drive (partition) with the media and understand that this is at the expense of the performance of the system. However, since this grateful I released a lot of disk space. I have 40 GB free on my C: and 90 GB free on my D:. Total, shared capacity is 250 GB (125/125).

Basically, while being largely ignorant of the technical questions, laptops and technology altogether, the way I noticed the inability of systems to "return" to its original factory running (which, I might add, I was very impressed by) is when it comes to games. Football Manager 2009, for example running very slowly. I had a peek in the Task Manager, because I play the game in a window, and the CPU usage works 100%, although I'm sure the culmination of the individual tasks and Applications is not equivalent to that (maybe there is a program hidden Hogging my CPU speed?). Call of Duty 4, which took place on medium-high graphics settings when the laptop was new, now struggles on the lower graph and the sound settings, without that there is a problem with internet connectivity. In addition, (for reference, I m not not the game breath) Battlefield 2, which is about 3-4 years of age very slowly also works. He ran too extremely fast, on the highest graphics settings when the laptop was brand new.

Basically, what I want to do, is to return the system to its original performance. It is always too slow when two hard drives were full of games and media. Now, despite the withdrawal of many of them, the system works like a sloth.

Means I ve done to solve performance problems are: disk defrag, disk clean up, error checking, virus scan (with Kaspersky), scanning of spyware (with PC tools Spyware Doctor), deleted the old files with CCleaner and erased files not deleted with a program called eraser... As well as the release of about 50% of the disk space.

Add to that, I ve noticed performance was much more when I first turn on the laptop and the sides of it n t had the chance to become hot. I understand what is normal, and he did before when the laptop was new and was operating at optimum performance, but perhaps I have an overheating problem? I'll let you know what is the temperature, but I put just t know.

I hesitate to return the system to its factory settings and if necessary I'll take to a computer store, if there is something they can do. But in the meantime I d like to listen to any advice on general issues that I face, and possible solutions to my problem.

    Thank you very much.

The problem with Windows is that it becomes slower and slower that you operate.

When the devices and programs are installed, they increase the size of the registry, activate the Services, add resident DLLS and drivers, slow down the file system by adding thousands of files. As well, the operating system can get damaged after some time due to the loss of power and software poorly written.
Even if you use CCleaner and other utilities and uninstall several programs, it is never as fast as a fresh installation of windows. Uninstalling programs rarely remove the program completely 100%.

The antivirus can have a huge effect on performance, that's why the system runs great when the image of the plant is installed (which has usually no anti-virus).

So basically if you want the system making a lot once again, you must back up your data and perform the recovery. I myself do it once a year to restore performance.

It happens not on all sites found, but on a large number of them. However, in all cases where sometimes the site redirected to is [adlinksearch.com]. I use PC Tools Spyware Doctor and it has found no problems with Malware. I can go on the site if I put the address in the address bar. I use igoogle search bar. Please help with this issue, because it is very annoying.

    Each time Firefox opened

== Unknown as to exactly when he started

Firefox closes alltogether when you go to youtube videos, not youtube itself. Redirects to other sites. ran malaware and spybot. Any suggestions?

The computer is stuck in Internet explore and offline. Its very slow to present and crashes.
The applications were not open but manuely 'Google desktop', 'Fine print', "SpywareDoctor" boxes appear with the message "not responding" and "end of program".

One of these error reports reads as follows:
    "szAppName:swdoctor.exe,
    szAppVer:3:3.5.0.478
    SZ Mod name: hungapp
    szModVer:0.0.0.0.
    offset: 00000000

    Hello

It seems that the swdoctor.exe caused the crash problem.
AFAIK the swdoctor.exe is the executable for Spyware Doctor from PC Tools. It is an anti-spyware application.
The easiest way would be to remove this application from the operating system.

Try and test whether the operating system is running without these programs.
