SQL convert image data [Coldfusion 10] type to pdf file

Data of type image in my database table. How to save the data as a pdf file. The data in the table are already pdf type 0x151C240002000000080008001400... I tried select boxid, datapdf records where datapdf is not null FileWrite ("data.pdf", records.datapdf [1]); He did save the file as a pdf, but as soon as the file is says "it is not a type of file supported or because the file has been damaged".

Maybe, maybe not.  Access unfortunately has a way of screwing of the binary (blob) data that is stored in it by adding a wrapper around the data.  I ran across this before, but I don't remember the details of what was going on - I think he had something to do with OLE objects compared to the data of the actual image (photos JPG) file.  I ended up needing to have the contractor who put data go back and reinsert the images correctly.

In my case, some of the jpg files have been loaded correctly (and migrate to SQL Server correctly), but others are not.  You may need to use to open the file in Access and save the images out of files, then by running a separate process to load the images in your database system (you didn't specify that you are using).

  • What types of pdf files can be modified?

I have a pdf file created in some design software, no word.  Can I still change it?  Do I need Acrobat Pro or can I use Acrobat Standard?

It is not really "kinds" of PDF in a simple way. Assuming that you are talking about text, a PDF file can contain any combination of

    * text is just an image; not editable, but you can sometimes use the OCR, not always

content which is the text, but pell-mell, impossible to change, copy or search

    * text this is good text, but you do not have the police so can't change it

    * text is the text proper, but for some reason any police you have does not match and you can not change this

    * appropriate text and you can change it with the police that you own.

But then the provision of texts and other elements determines if you can change. Any type of modification that does not fit in one line (like changing a phone number) is many ask.

Acrobat Standard is not worse than Acrobat Pro for editing text.

  • 'place' blurry images Photoshop Illustrator - at check in .pdf file?

I edited some images in Photoshop for use in a .pdf file I created in Illustrator.

In PS, images was beautiful and have been registered with the following parameters: .jpg/CMYK/Image Options: 10/Maximum. I have "placed" in the Illustrator file, everything was always wonderful, but I exported all of the .pdf file, the pictures came out blurry.

The resolution is 300 dpi for images of three, all pixels of 170 x 100, which is also the size, they are used to in Illustrator.

I note also that during the "placement" images in Illustrator, regardless of the type of file, the images are invariably much smaller that originally saved as. It's never happened before.

Any ideas on how to have clean images, in the PDF?

Things, I tried with no sign of improvement:

Standard, high quality print and print quality save settings

Save images as .jpg, .tiff, .psd in Photoshop to place in Illustrator

'Link' and no 'link' when you place it in Illustrator

Save images 2 x and 3 x the size in Photoshop to reduce in Illustrator

And a cap perforated how I'm viewing the PDF with the images at 100% in Acrobat:

    Screen shot 2012-09-29 at 5.17.09 PM.png

The quality is affected by their scaling upwards - at least if that's what you were doing with the placed files.

170px wide at 300 dpi works be 0,5667 inches wide. Did you leave them this size or you increase their width/height?

If you resize them, what size do you want in the publication? Let's say that you want them to be 2 "wide. 2 inches x 300 DPI is 600px wide at 300 dpi.

    Take care, Mike

Edit to add * using my desired example 2 "width, if we place a 170px 300 dpi image, enlarged width 2", the effective DPI is approximately 83 dpi.

  • Open a new File() by Script and set the Type of PDF file fails...

    Hi all

I created a script to download PDFs from a server and store them in an Indesign Document. Everything works fine except Indesign doesn't not recocnize file Type when you try to place the pdf file and get an error that the downloaded PDF file cannot be due to the filter of the unknown.

This is because the file type is apparently set to TEXT (creator is CARO) event if I write the file with

    myFile.open ('w', 'PDF', "CARO");

    No idea how

-get Indesign all the file type of a file newly generated in PDF format

    or

-Change the Type of file later

    or

-tell Indesign what filter to use when you place this file?

    Thanks for your help

    BTW: Indesign CS5 (7.0.4), OS X 10.6.8

UH... but you might be better off placing both '\0\0\0\0' and leave the treatment kick file extension.

  • Where notes stores data? Cannot delete a PDF file I want to keep in the Notes

    Hello

Love the new notes... but I was wondering where the data are stored if you drag an image or a PDF in. I tried to do that, but then finder won't let me delete the PDF as it is said that it is used... is there a way to store these data in Notes - permanently and forget keep them anywhere else?

    Thank you!

    Gully

I think that the images, PDF etc. files stay where they are and that a link with them is stored in the Notes.

  • How to convert a word, like 100 MB in PDF file?

I use the adobe pdf online service to convert word files.  I have a file that is 101 mb and the converter only download and convert the file. How to convert this word file to pdf format now?

    Hi adrentcdc,

There is a 100 MB file size limit for upload to the online Adobe PDF Pack service. Since there is no such limitation for Acrobat, you can use it to convert the file to PDF. We invite you to download a free 30 day trial and give it a spin. For more information, see www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html.

Which product do I need to convert a PDF (300 pages of text) in a Word 2007 document? How would he load on a computer that is not online? I would lose all the formatting PDF? Thank you.

Acrobat pro can save a PDF to word documents.

How would you load what, where it is located on a computer that is not online and is what to do with the file that needs to be charged?

No, you wouldn't necessarily lose put pdf in shape when you convert a word document.  I'm not sure that you will be able to change everything in word, however.

  • How to convert a word-processing document in a PDF file

I have a CV on word processing. When I try to send e-mail, the recipient cannot open

The solution to this situation is a wonderful piece of freeware called "CutePDF Writer".  You must download and install it with another package of freeware called "Ghostscript" available on the site.  Once you install these two programs, you will find that you have an additional printer you can print named "CutePDF Writer".  Everything that you print this "printer" will eventually be saved in a PDF of your choice.  This will work with any application that you can print from Windows.

  • Is it possible to automatically convert a website into a multiple page pdf file?

I have a blog that has now reached the end of his life, and the site is down. Before I do so, however, I need to create a permanent record and a single multi-page pdf file would be perfect.

I know that I can do this with Acrobat Professional, but I hope that there is an automatic way to export the html pages in a single pdf file without making each page one by one manually.

If anyone knows how to perform this task, please let me know.

    Thank you!

Which version of Acrobat you have? In Acrobat 9, you must select:

File > create PDF > from Web Page

    or

Advanced > Web Capture > create PDF from / Append Web Page

There are various options that affect the result, including the number of levels to capture, layout, multimedia how is managed, etc. Acrobat 11 is more advanced and probably give the best results.

  • Images lost in conversion to Word 2007 in PDF file

I have a Word 2007 (docx) document, with inserted JPGs.  If the images text wrapping is on something else that "in line with text", the images do not appear in the PDF file created from the docx.  I have tried many different combinations of Acrobat preferences (or disable image compression standard vs high quality printing different ppp parameters etc.).  This seems to be a new problem, I have converted several Word docx with images in PDF format in the past.  A document that I converted to PDF a year ago is no longer converts correctly!   I'm running Windows 7 Pro and using Acrobat X Pro.   Office 2007 SP3 (and I suspect this is the problem).  Another person had the problem and, if so, found a fix?

    Hi, Bill.

I solved the problem, which was misleading lines.  Somehow, Word Options--> display, print drawings created in Word has checked.  Now the pictures come out fine.   The misleading part is that images inserted from the files would be included in the PDF file if it was wrapped text as inline!

    Thanks for your time

  • loading data into a pdf file

I was using CF7 to query data and load in the pdf file using the blog of Ben Forte XPAAJ java library. It's simple, and it worked very well. Then came CF8 and LiveCycle ES. XPAAJ was free, but is not free of LiveCycle ES. LC ES does much more than load data into a pdf and cost a bit, but it's probably worth the money. Because a small part of the LC ES is the same thing as XPAAJ did, the CF8 upgrade almost completely mask XJAAP. (I got it by the judgment of the CF8, starting from the CF7 app service application service, and then restart the CF8 - I don't want to run like that for a long time).
I can possibly get into LiveCycle, but for now, no one knows something like XPAAJ that can load the data directly into a pdf file or a file Form Data Format (FDF)?
    Thanks Scott

If by 'data' PDF mean you XMP metadata, so yes: CF8 comes with a version of the iText Java library that includes classes for reading and writing XMP in PDF format. Tag of CFPDF, CF8 uses iText under the hood, but does not yet use all of its features via CFPDF, you can simply call the Java classes directly in order to access iText XMP features.

Reading and writing XMP examples are given here:
    http://www.Adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/Forum/MessageView.cfm?forumid=1&CATID=7&ThreadId=13 28338

Check the pdfUtils of Ray Camden CFC on riaForge: it contains a new method of readXMP(). writeXMP() is coming - the code is included in the above thread in any case.

If you mean that the data of the form rather than XMP data, then iText can do too. Check the iText documentation:
    http://www.1t3xt.info/API/

Here is a small example of filling out form
    http://www.peabrane.com/2007/3/5/PDF-templates-via-Rails

and cfSearching (who really knows iText in a context of CF), there is this example, note the use of the iText fdfReader class:
