SQL Developer to MaxApex database connection

Did he ever anyone else here use MaxApex?  I'm trying to implement the SQL Developer and toad to connect directly to our MaxApex database and I'm getting a ' ORA-12541: listener TNS:no "error.

MaxApex gave me my login information, and they think that maybe it's my firewall is blocking the connection.  I opened the access to the port 1521 the firewall, but it did not help.

Is anyone else here could connect SQLDeveloper or Toad to their MaxApex database?  Any tips?

  • Oracle SQL Developer to the database unifying connection

    Hello community!

    I am developing a SQL string that will pull data from various processes of cost (i plan to wrap the dataview object in a cube and publish a dashboard after that). I was wondering if there is any way to connect oracle SQL Developer for oracle hosted instance unify to create code more efficiently? If so, explain the steps for me please?

    I can get the following information of Oracle BI Publisher, see Exhibit A.

    I have to fill in the fields in Appendix B and this is where I don't know how to do this, see Exhibit B.

    Your help is highly appreciated

    Concerning

    Amir

    Hi Amir - there is currently no way to directly connect to the DB for unifying hosted environments. We are currently working on this issue.

    In the meantime, you can use the SQL Editor in your BI Publisher server interface. You build instructions SQL can then be pasted in via data in unifying views.

    You have configured your APEX to support the RESTful Service?

    Maybe there is something wrong with you RESTful, could you just start a new configuration of the listener from the apex to the step which asks you to enter the password for user(APEX_LISTENER,APEX_REST_PUBLIC_USER) RESTful database, select 3 to skip this step.

    Hello

    Are you copy of database of claim file to the runtime or creation of database during execution?

    If you create new DB to the runtime, by default 'android_metadata' the table is created.

    If you copy the database to make the folder, you must create this table. before packing db with your application. create table 'android_metadata' to help after SQL command "CREATE TABLE android_metadata (TEXT of locale)". I thing this solution works for you.

  • How to connect to microsoft sql server with sql developer 4.1 2014

    Please,

    I need to connect to a Microsoft SQL Server 2014 with SQL Developer 4.1 database, I installed the appropriate jdbc driver microsoft as having the active tab for SQL Server and to add the connection.

    Thank you very much

    We support no migration of SQL Server 2014, but you should be able to connect. There is a problem around tables in the connection of the navigation tree, but you should be able to execute queries and PROBABLY get a migration project going.

  • Taking JDBC connection configuration supported the RAC in Oracle SQL Developer?

    How can one Oracle SQL Developer be configured to successfully connect to a [Oracle RAC | http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oracle_RAC] environment, that is, not only the installation program always to connect to one of the individual nodes?

    [http://programmersjournal.blogspot.com/2008/08/jdbc-connection-string-for-oracle-rac.html] is an example of a classic and taking version supported the equivalent CARS of a JDBC connection string. I've used a CAR of the same format connection string from within Java applications custom without problem. I thought that the same thing should be configurable in Oracle SQL Developer, by setting the 'Connection Type' drop-down menu on "Advanced", then enter the connection string JDBC RAC-aware as "Custom URL JDBC". However, after the test connection, the following error message is displayed at the bottom of the dialog box:

    Status: Failure-Test failed: IO exception: NL Exception has been generated

    There is no additional information shown on the display 'Page Logging'. With the help of Oracle SQL Developer 1.5.5.

    Thank you!

    You could always give the current 2.1 ai2 test... continuous development may have fixed the issues in this area...

    Hope that helps,
    K.

  • Installation of Oracle and SQL Developer data

    Hi, I was looking for some help/advice with regard to the installation of an SQL Developer and Oracle database on a 32-bit Windows 7 computer. I have been asked to create a database to store the data that I create through reports in Excel format, so I'm required to create a local database but do not know how to do this. Also do not know if I install the Express edition or Oracle 11 g R2 database. If someone could please advise on how I can get this has begun or even links/tutorials that guide me in getting this installed with a localhost.

    Thanks in advanc.

    Thanks guys, I managed to install Oracle 11 g 2 and I installed a database using dbca tool and I can connect to my database. One thing I noticed is that when I look in my tables in sql developer I see plenty of tables different i.e. def$ _, logmnr_, etc. and I don't know why did I expect an empty table.

    Thank you for all your help btw.

    One of the fundamentals of relational databases is that they use their own facilities to manage themselves.  This means that the database management system uses the database to manage data on the database using exactly the same facilities (tablespaces, tables, user accounts, procedures, etc.) that an application uses to store application data. See "data dictionary" so there is no such thing as a completely database empty.

    As said by others, you do NOT want to create your own tables under patterns oracle (users) or in the disc spaces logics own oracle (esp. SYSTEM and SYSAUX).  Create your own account user/schema.  Create your own tablespace. Do this by default tablespace for the user.

  • Issue of Oracle SQL Developer when you use VPN (Cisco)

    All,

    We have a somewhat obscure issue with connectivity SQL Developer to our databases of the laptop has distance from the employee.

    The database is hosted inside our firewall and when the employee is trying to connect to the database that it receives the following error message:
    + "Encountered error: an error has occurred to perform the requested operation: the network adapter could not establish the connection." Code provider 20 "+"

    I think maybe I saw the error at some point as well...
    Status: Failure-Test failed: IO error: the network adapter could not establish the connection

    Note: It gets this error when you are connected to our VPN & so that it can connect through SQL * more on that same basis. It gets the error without worrying if he uses the option to enter tnsnames in SQL Developer or if it uses the "basic" connection type

    What is interesting, is that if he disconnects the VPN, will turn off its wireless connectivity, then hard-wire in our network, it can connect, without issue.

    The strangest part for me, is that although it cannot connect to the database using SQL Developer, it can connect through SQL * more. It can ping the IP source address very well, he can tnsping database without problem, it can connect through SQL * Plus, it just cannot connect through SQL * Developer. Since SQL * more and tnsping work, I know that it can access the db server through port 1521, so I don't think it's a problem of port.

    Another weird thing: when it connects to our network via a 'old' virtual private network (VPN open) there is no problem.

    His machine is Windoz 64 bit (HP laptop) and it uses the latest version of the SQL Developer and a JAVA virtual machine.

    Also interesting: I also have a Windoz 64 bit computer laptop (Lenovo) and I don't have the same issues, as it does. I am however running an older version of SQL Developer and probably an older JVM.

    I dug around a bit, looks like maybe it has something to do with IPv6? No idea what to do next, except have my network guy look at the logs of firewall to try to grasp where the connectivity has been ignored.

    Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. I tried all sorts of things (giving him my file tnsnames.ora and sqlnet.ora, manually editing these files, try IP addresses instead of host names, host names I tried with the doman.org extensions, etc.).

    Still, any suggestion would be appreciated and I thank very you much.

    If it is IPv6, you can try adding

    AddVMOption -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true

    I also use a photo of the Web Site, which is not related to my work as Oracle, but for it's photo uploader also uses Java, and which is slow, that's why I think that the problem is based on Java. I would say that the problem occurred in the last two months but has gotten much worse in recent weeks. Developer SQL is slow at times, especially when I used another application and it's just in the background.

    Kind regards

    Tim

    Two things here at first:

    * JDK:
    If you do not remove one sqldev used before, he always uses this one. You can change yourself in \sqldeveloper\bin\sqldeveloper.conf:

    SetJavaHome C:\Archivos programa\Java\jdk1.6.0_10

    Be sue to point to a JDK, however, not a JRE that you mentioned above. Update 1.6.x generally better performance than 1.5.x update.

    * GeoRaptor:
    You installed this extension and it's errors. If you don't need or it doesn't work anymore, better to disable it in preferences - Extensions.

    The NullPointerException in SearchBarAddin is already for several versions, but dev seems not very motivated to solve. Just ignore it.
    If you still see exceptions after checking the JDK and GeoRaptor, or sqldev is still useless, do come back and give some details about the memory usage.

    Hope that helps,
    K.

  • Oracle SQL Developer in JDeveloper data modeling

    Hello

    See http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/sql_developer/files/Modeling.html
    Oracle SQL Developer - early release of the adoptive parent 2 data modeling
    Oracle SQL Developer data modeling is the latest product offering to join the Oracle database tools. SQL Developer data modeling offers complete data and database, modeling, tools and utilities, including entity-relationship, modeling relational (configuration database), Type data and multidimensional modeling, front and rear complete engineering and code generation. It includes the import to and the export to a variety of sources and targets, offers a variety of formatting options and valid models through a predefined set of design rules.

    SQL Developer data modeling can connect to any version of the data base Oracle 9.2.0.1 and later versions, and is platform-independent. Initially available as a standalone product, with the future versions available as an extension of Oracle SQL Developer. The second version of the early adopter has stand-alone and file-based.

    See the screenshots, import.png, multi.png, notation.png, subview.png, erd.png, largemodel.jpg

    question
    These data new modeling capabilities are destined to end up in a future version of JDeveloper (replacing the existing data modeling features in JDeveloper)?

    Thank you very much
    Jan Vervecken

    Modeling of SQL Developer focuses on ER diagrams and a repository - which we think is targeting a different audience, then the 'physical' offered by JDeveloper modeling.

  • Grouping of lines - SQL Developer

    I was wondering if someone can help me here - Im trying to group the lines in a "package" to get fewer lines of data and group together the dates where they follow (and they have the same class of service and client ID). Im not the most irritable person so any help is appreciated.

    Here's my CREATE & INSERT

    CREATE TABLE ACF_SERVICES_DIM (Client_id varchar2 (20),)
    Date of Agreement_Start_date,
    Date of Agreement_End_Date,
    Service_Category Varchar2 (200),
    Agreement_id varchar2 (20));

    Insert into Acf_Services_Dim (Client_Id, Agreement_Start_Date, Agreement_End_Date, Service_Category, Agreement_Id)
    VALUES ('2607 ', 'J2849', 'Red', TO_DATE (' 01/10/2013 ',' dd/mm/yyyy'), NULL);

    Insert into Acf_Services_Dim (Client_Id, Agreement_Start_Date, Agreement_End_Date, Service_Category, Agreement_Id)
    VALUES ('2607 ', 'J2279', 'Red', TO_DATE (' 30/09/2013 ',' dd/mm/yyyy'), TO_DATE (' 01/03/2002 ',' dd/mm/yyyy'));

    Insert into Acf_Services_Dim (Client_Id, Agreement_Start_Date, Agreement_End_Date, Service_Category, Agreement_Id)
    VALUES ('2607 ', 'J2284', 'Red', TO_DATE (' 30/09/2013 ',' dd/mm/yyyy'), TO_DATE (' 01/03/2002 ',' dd/mm/yyyy'));

    Commit;

    The last two are of the same exact service type / id / dates etc so id expect to see a result... I think however it it link to 1 also, such as tracking the dates on and again, everything else is the same.

    If there is a 4th line-

    VALUES ('2607 ', 'J2299', 'Blue', TO_DATE (' 30/09/2013 ',' dd/mm/yyyy'), TO_DATE (' 01/03/2002 ',' dd/mm/yyyy'));

    Commit;

    I only expect to show also in a separate package because it does not match the 1st 3 because it is a different class of service, even if the dates are the same... I hope that helps?

    The request im trying to use is the following... HOWEVER it keeps giving me a not authorized windows error function

    WITH got_package_id AS

    (

    SELECT agreement_id

    MIN (CONNECT_BY_ROOT agreement_id) AS package_id

    Of acf_services_dim

    OR agreement_end_date = PRIOR agreement_start_date - 1

    OR (agreement_start_date = PRIOR agreement_start_date

    AND agreement_end_date = PRIOR agreement_end_date

    )

    )

    GROUP BY agreement_id

    )

    SELECT s.Client_Id

    MIN (s.Agreement_Start_Date) AS package_start_date

    , NULLIF (NVL (MAX (s.Agreement_End_Date))

    DATE "9999-01-01'

    )

    DATE "9999-01-01'

    ) AS package_end_date

    s.Service_Category

    p.package_Id

    ROW_NUMBER () OVER (PARTITION BY s.client_id

    s.service_category

    ORDER BY p.package_id

    ) AS package_num - if wanted

    Of s acf_services_dim

    JOIN got_package_id p ON p.agreement_id = s.agreement_id

    GROUP BY s.client_id

    s.service_category

    p.package_id

    ;

    Don't know why, but im getting the following error when running in SQL developer... no idea why?
