SQLEXPRESS GOLDMINE

I recently installed SQLEXPRESS on Server 2012 and also set to update to the latest version of 2014 of the gold mine.

I can not connect to the GoldMine to SQL part unless I'm logged on as administrator.

As I am not technical SQL, could someone let me know what I should do to get my users who connect?

Thank you

Rob

    Hello

    -When exactly you receive this error message? It is at the start of the computer or at the launch of a particular application?

    If you use SQL Express DBMS and are faced with this problem, thanks for posting your query in SQL Server Express Forums for assistance on this issue.

  • VirtualCenter on SqlExpress vs Sql 2005 database?

    We currently have our VC2.5 database on SQL2005 Server (there is one instance alongside many other instances of sql).   The problem is that our Dba is very strict and has locked some of the roles that are required for the update of the dbases VC and Update Manager (if I understand correctly, there are some roles must be defined with administrative privileges to enable update Mgr and VC updates to work properly).

    Our database of VC supports about 100 servers and we will have more than a total of 200 servers.   My database, I tells me is currently to about 500 MB.  So with the growth, I see that the database will exceed the capacity of SQLExpress.

    I think it may be better to place my database of VC on SQLExpress and coexist with server VC, and then I can manage both to avoid any problem with our dba.

    So the question is: can I put my VC on SQL Express database?  Are there problems?

    other that the 4 GB limit I can't hand over limits.  Permissions required during upgrade DB on the server vCenter high are only temporary for the MSDB.  You are showing your DBA this KB?

    Hello

    I want to install the TMSXE and the local SQL Server to standard TMS software on the same server. This isn't a big deployment so I thing its ok. Concerns or experience if it is fine or will make problems?

    See you soon

    It must be nice, here are the recommended specs, you will probably use the standard deployment.

  • Why the connection to a local database becomes lost when the network is disconnected?

    I use TestStand 3.1. I have a configuration database on the local drive and I use the option "Log on the Fly.

    The test takes 48 hours and I want to assure you that it will not stop if the network connection is lost.

    If I unplug the network before starting the test, fine. I can plug the network again while the test runs without problem.

    But if the network is connected and I start the test and then disconnect the network of recording on the fly will give an error.

    I narrowed down it to "New USE for database Logging" step in the SequentialModel.seq (process model). If this step is performed with the network connection then the rest of the test needs a network connection.

    Is it possible to avoid this error?  The point of all the local database was to avoid network problems.

    Thank you for your help.

  • Microsoft SQL 2008 Express

    I'm having a problem connecting a MSSQL 2008 Express Server configured in Mode of Windows authentication by using the LabView database connectivity toolkit. I tried the following connection strings and received the following errors:

    DRIVER = {SQL Server} SERVER =\SQLEXPRESS. UID =\; PWD =;

    the error States:

    NI_Database_API.lvlib.vi B Open connect (String) tools-> odbc.vi testException occurred in the Microsoft OLE DB provider for ODBC drivers: [Microsoft] [ODBC SQL Server driver] [SQL Server] Login failed for user '-'. in NI_Database_API.lvlib.vi B Open connect (String) tools-> test odbc.vi

    PROVIDER = SQLOLEDB.1; SERVER =\SQLEXPRESS. UID=\; PWD =;

    the error States:

    NI_Database_API.lvlib.vi B Open connect (String) tools-> odbc.vi testException occurred in the Microsoft OLE DB for SQL Server: Login failed for user '-'. in NI_Database_API.lvlib.vi B Open connect (String) tools-> test odbc.vi

    I know that this user has the right to change the database and I know that it is not a firewall issue, as I tested it with the firewall off the coast.

    Help would be appreciated!

    It seems that, because I use the Windows Authentication Mode, there is no need to use the UID and PWD in the connection string. in fact, its use causes the error.

    DRIVER = {SQL Server} SERVER =\SQLEXPRESS.

    DRIVER = {SQL Server} SERVER =. \SQLEXPRESS;

    Can be used when connecting to the SQL 2008 Express Server.

  • Slow performance in Winodws XP.

    Original title: MSSQL$ SQLExpress.

    I use XP Professiional and have a slow down to the speed of the computer.  Especially at the start.  I saw my event viewer and find many errors which seem to be due to MSSQL$ SQLExpress.  I don't know anything about this software from MS, but I think it's maybe the SQL Server software.  Maybe someone has encountered this and can give me some advice.  Thank you.  Carl.

    Hello

    What is the exact error message on the SQL server in Event Viewer?

    Perform the following methods and check:

    Method 1:

    The question could have been caused due to third-party startup items or other services. To resolve this, you will need to put your computer in a clean boot state.

    To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts. To so please check the following link:

    How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

    Note: Make sure that you put the computer to a Normal startup once you are finished.
