TMSXE / SQLExpress on same server TMS Ok?

Hello

I want to install the TMSXE and the local SQL Server to standard TMS software on the same server. This isn't a big deployment so I thing its ok. Concerns or experience if it is fine or will make problems?

See you soon

It must be nice, here are the recommended specs, you will probably use the standard deployment.

    Is this possible? We have 2 different offices on different subnets, but I can tell it is only possible to have an active local gateway at a time?

    I know that I can install a gateway HPDM in each office, but if I could avoid it, it would be preferable.

    Hello

    HPDM uses MAC of the server host as the ID gateway (which must be unique), is not possible you have two gateways installed on the same server host - Agent DM is not able to find out who will speak with.

  • Password reset the role on the same server as Secure Access?

    It is safe to add the role of reset of password on the same server as Secure Access? We have our server configuration to secure access for the Web and AppPortal access.

    After you install the role of reset of password on the access to the Web server, I discovered they don't work together. Password service would not start and installing beat all the Web site on the server.

  • WebDAV: use of the different logins to different WebDAV folders on the same server

    Hello

    I quite often use WebDAV to access the various folders on a server on the Internet. I do this "Add a network location" in Windows Explorer, then using the address https Server (for example https://www.myserver.com/folder1). The first time that I need to enter the credentials of the user and the corresponding password and Windows seems to store them somewhere so that I can connect to this folder also after a re-login without having to re - insert my credentials.

    The question I have, is that I also need access to different folders on the same server (for example https://www.myserver.com/folder2) that requires different user credentials and passwords. The only way I have found is to remove the first network location, disconnect and reconnect to the Windows and then add the new location of the network in Windows Explorer; Just delete the first network location and adding the second network location would not be enough that Windows had always stored the context of the 1st network location and tried to connect with the credentials of the user and the password of the 1st second.

    Question: is there a less cumbersome way to remove context from a WebDAV connection, so that I do not need to disconnect and reconnect if I need to connect to the same server with different user credentials?

  • Possible to install UCCE on the same server as CallManager MCS

    Hello

    Trying to set up improved 4.5 on an MCS 7835 UCCE. Now, if I want to install CallManager 5.1 in this environment, can I put the same box of MCS? Or do I have to buy an another MCS?

    Thanks in advance.

    Juan, I think that you misread his post.

    "If I changed CallManager express to 4.2 then it would be possible to run on the same server MCS?

    I don't think that he meant "CallManager express."

    The solution, lpezi, is to read the compatibility matrix where all your questions are answered.

  • ASIC can run on the same server/db like EBS (R12.1)

    Hello

    We have an EBS (R12.1) environment and intend to use the CPSA. I've seen environments where the CAWC runs in its own environment/database, etc. and connects to an instance of the EBS. Which is the only type of available configuration or can CAWC run fully within an environment of EBS/instance on the same server? If so, what are the consequences of such a configuration, for example on the performance.

    Thank you

    NAT.

    Hi Nat,

    ASIC can be configured in two ways:

    1 centralized - where the EBS and VCP reside on the same application server.

    2 decentralized - where the EBS and CRS are on two different application servers.

    Basically the motor nucleus of CPSA of planning does all the planning in the memory of the application server (and not in the database). This planning process is highly require a lot of resources (memory) and requires a huge memory (according to the data, the type of plan and many other factors). If the application servers are not the right size, this led to the poor performance of the application. And if both the planning and EBS reside on the same server, there are possibilities that you slow the global treatment through the functions of the company. That's why decentralized architecture is preferred, where the planning process running on another remote computer of your EBS and it didn't there in not affecting transactional modules.

    Beyond that, you have the ease of maintenance in terms of correction, update, addition of multiple of VCP modules, if you're on a decentralised architecture.

    Centralized architecture is also not rare. Many companies run their planning and EBS on a single machine.

    I hope that the above gives you a point of view, using which you can choose what suits your business best!

  • EBS R12.2 & R12.1 on the same server

    Hi all

    Do all RPM RHEL 6.6 for R12.2.4 for R12.1.3 work as well?

    Or I have to download special RPM for R12.1.3.

    you are unlikely to question when installing 12.1.3, maybe you need to demote one or two packages.

  • Duplicated on the same server database

    Hi, I'm trying to replicate a database on the same server. It seems to have worked, but I get a lot of error messages in the log of alerts. Please can someone tell if I'm doing something wrong or that I don't need to worry about these messages. Here's what I do:

    Taking rman backup archivelog and proddb database

    Do pfile from spfile proddb

    create directories by replacing the name proddb by clonedb

    copy the proddbinit.ora file rename to replace all references to proddb with clonedb of clonedbinit.ora

    Add 2 entries to clonedbinit.ora:

    * .db_file_name_convert = 'PRODDB', 'CLONEDB '.

    * .log_file_name_convert = 'PRODDB', 'CLONEDB '.

    Instance defined in CLONEDB and startup nomount

    Sign in to rman - rman AUXILIARY.

    DUPLICATE TO CLONEDB DATABASE

    BACKUP LOCATION ' / U01/PRODDB.

    I haven't specified a SPFILE because I don't think I need one as I created a complete pfile file

    "When I look in the alerts log, I get a message saying load ' ORA-01565: could not open the Spfile" and error in the identification of file & apos spfileclonedb.ora & apos;

    I read if you clone to a database on the same server, you must manually create your own pfile and do not use the SPFILE option during replication.

    What I am doing wrong?

    Thank you very much

    Adam

    I think your spfile has no parameter value:

    db_file_name_convert ='/ EOYFIN/TESTP / ',' / FMWSPRT/TESTS /'

    To ensure that:

    create pfile from spfile;

    then check your pfile file to see the entrance is there or not.

    Option 1

    -----------------

    Just add that then you can do it in duplicate using the set command order

    -----------------------------------------------

    Run {}

    allocate channel pr1 type disk;

    allocate channel pr2 type disk;

    allocate auxiliary channel stdby type disk;

    current spfile database of target duplicate database tests

    :

    :

    Set db_file_name_convert ='/ EOYFIN/TESTP / ',' / FMWSPRT/TESTS /'

    Set log_file_name_convert ='/ EOYFIN/TESTP / ',' / FMWSPRT/TESTS /'

    :

    ;

    }

    Option 2

    ------------------------

    If it not is not for this put entry pfile.

    Start the databases using pfile and then create spfile;

    SPFile to start;

    Try again

    See you soon

  • dblink to an instance on the same server

    Suppose I have two Oracle instances that sit on the same physical server. In one case, I create one dblink to another and this dblink allows to define a view as select * from sometable@dblink. Will there be of the type involved in the trafficking network restrictions (for example limited to the current network interface physical bandwidth as 100 Mbps, 1 Gbps) causing overhead tiny as these instances be on separate physical machines? In other words, is this dblink between instances the right way to go, or maybe there is possibility to enjoy a few additional mechanisms for these two instances provided the fastest way possible (and assuming that created the view above)?

    Thank you

    If the two instances are on the same server, LAN drivers/software can resolve the IP address of the connected 'server' as the local host, so he won't need to go out on the network (if possible, why not try unplugging the network cable from the server and see if it works again - assuming, of course, the network is not necessary for the duration).   The connection will pass through the network interface on the same server and communicate via the relevant port that the instance is configured on.

    This isn't really any different to having an instance of database installed on a computer not connected to the network that you connect then on this same computer by using any client interface, it will be always access it through the port on which the database is listening, but there is no need for any network physical to exist.

    As separate bodies, then using dblink is probably the method appropriate and common use.

  • Running the Single Instance and RAC on the same server of different homes.

    Hi guys,.

    I already have 4 node RAC12c installed on OLE 6.

    I'm planing on some of my other 12 single instance databases on other migration for RAC nodes.

    Please correct me here if I am wrong...

    My understanding is that, to be able to use DBCA or rconfig for conversion of database instance RAC, the only instance and RAC cluster must run on the same server or machine node.

    Thanks to this understanding... Am planing on the installation of a binary single instance on one of my cluster node node1 say and then use RMAN to duplicate the single instance or just an RMAN restore from the node of the instance that is unique to this node1. Am capable of this plan must then use DBCA or rconfig to convert the CARS database.

    Now, my question is can I run a single instance and RAC on the same server for different homes with different database ports?

    2. for these unique instance that runs on the server RAC 1 node, can I use the RAC database listener that runs from the House of the grid or I have to create another auditor?

    Thank you in advance and also let me know if I can use DBCA or rconfig when the only instance and rac database are on separate nodes.

    K

    Fix. And that's what I would normally do. In general, I would have just an ORACLE_HOME directory that can be used by the punctual and RAC databases at the same time.

    See you soon,.

  • How to rename ASM starts after cloning disks of origin on the same server. ASMlib is used

    RHE Linux 6

    The single-instance grid installed Oracle (Oracle Restart) 11.2.0.4

    Oracle RDBMS 11.2.0.4 installed

    A 11.2.0.4 single-instance database running

    Our ASM GAVE, REDO, FRA mounted diskgroup

    We need to do a snapshot of storage for the creation of a copy of the current start ASM DATA, REDO, FRA on THE SAME server. Then we rename it cloned starts using the renamedg command.

    We did this several times if ASMlib is not used. For example, the command used when ASMlib is not used is:

    renamedg = newdgname = verbose = FRA2 FRA dgname true phase = the two asm_diskstring = "/ dev/oracle/fra *'"

    With ASMlib in use, I'm not sure the steps to follow

    First of all I'm not sure what should be provided to the asm_diskstring for the renamedg command parameter. I provide an asm_diskstring that identifies the path pointing to records belonging to the diskgroup cloned (I don't want to rename the original diskgroup). But ASM instance using ASMlib is the asm_diskstring parameter is in ' ORCL: *'.

    Second, I guess that after the rename diskgroup than asmlib returns an error because she would double discs.

    Could you please tell?

    Thanks in advance

    Massi

    Hello

    As you clone OS level, you have same ASMlib label.

    ASMlib mount always unique ASMLib label only.

    + You must identify these newly cloned device.

    + Rename these ASMLib force-renamedisk label after 1 Mb disk backup using dd read on a node.

    + Then run scandisks on other nodes.

    + Validate newly approved device is mounted or not on all nodes.

    $ ls - ltr/oracleasm/dev/discs / *.

    + Run command with asm_diskstring of/dev/discs/oracleasm renamedg / *.

  • He would work to have 3.2 and 4.2 on the same server of db with different web servers?

    Hello

    I have three existing environments which are 11g and Apex 3.2 on Linux (Dev, Test, Prod). I have also three front-end web servers that are Windows 2003 with IIS for Apex (Dev, Test, Prod)

    We have three new Windows servers running 2008 we upgraded to.

    So, my question is on the upgrade of Apex to 4.2 at the same time. I would like to have the new Windows Server (Dev), and then point to the same server to Linux as my old Windows 2003 db. And it points to the same instance of db. My goal would be to achieve production with this configuration and then just do a redirect to URL on the old Windows 2003 server and that it points to the new Windows Server 2008. In this way, that I wouldn't need to move data from one instance to another.

    Would this work? I have installed 3.2 and 4.2 on the same instance of db? A 3.2 Windows Server and have a pointed Windows 4.2 server on the same back-end server?

    APEX lives on the database instance. Run you the APEX on the database upgrades. The short answer to what I think is your question is No.

    I don't know what is the relevant motivation?
