Sqlldr can load data where datafilename contains single quotes?

Hello

The data file I want to load with SQLLDR contains single quotes as a character in the name.
Ex: The name of file is like:

"* / home/user/datastore/a demo'file_with_space.csv* '.

There is a single quotes and also a space in the name of the file.

-----

If I use it as a character escape as follows:

data = / home/user/datastore/a\ demo\'file_with_space.csv

I get the following error:
LRM-00111: no closing quote for value "file_with_space.csv".

SQL * Loader-100: syntax on the command line error

-----

If I use the double quotes from the inside (with and without the escape characters also) it crashes as
data = "" / home/user/datastore/a demo'file_with_space.csv ' "

Is it possible to load this file.

Thank you
Deeptarka

Hello

Why cannot you rename the file that is the best way to solve the problem instead of wasting time.

  • ODI can load data into the planning and REPLACE the existing data?

    Hello
    ODI (9.3.1.1) can load data into the planning and REPLACE the existing data?
    Currently of our ODI by "ADD" load to existing data data - so that is I accidentally run the load twice, it would be double planning numbers. I don't know how to do it to REPLACE so that running more than twice has no effect.

    With the help of the essbase adapter you would use a rule of load, in the State of charge, you can set whether to replace or add to existing values. It is not difficult to pass.

  • Insert into DB using SQLservice: can't take the text with single quotes:

    I use Execute sql JDBC service statement.

    I'll explain with simple code:

    insert into mytable (id, desc) values (1, 'this is the document of the customer');

    This works perfectly.

    But if I have apostrophes in the desc-

    insert into mytable (id, desc) values (1, 'this is the document the customer' );

    It is throwing error at a standstill operation errors.

    I know that in Oracle, to escape the single quotes that write us

    insert into mytable (id, desc) values (1, "it is of customer" s document ");

    But, we can not control here in Adobe as the desc is from field on a form when the user enters it.

    I'm guessing that it might be a known issue & can someone tell me the solution.

    Thank you

    KC

    Use a parameter query to avoid this problem.

    insert into mytable (id, desc) values (?,?);

    The two parameters (? brands) can be replaced by actual values using XPATH Expression.

    If you do this, you query runs without raising any errors.

  • Problem loading data

    Dear,

    We strive to distrigute data feature to load basic users.

    However, it seems that in our tests of this kind of users can only use the option "replace it with security.

    If they try to run the load of data without selecting this option, the system returns the following error:

    "No write access to the period December."

    What is very odd that the period of that December is available for entry to the same users through data entry forms.

    Help, please.

    There are no roles that control. The only role that comes close is the role of reviewer access of management control process.

    Other than that, it is the safety of the classes that control where you can load data. But if you have access to an intersection, you can load.

    Dear all,

    I have a requirement where in I need to load the data into 2 tables using a simple csv file.

    So I wrote the following control file. But it loads only the first table and also there nothing in the debug log file.

    Please suggest how to achieve this.

    Examples of data

    Source_system_code,Record_type,Source_System_Vendor_number,$vendor_name,Vendor_site_code,Address_line1,Address_line2,Address_line3

    Victor, New, Ven001, Vinay, Vin001, abc, def, xyz

    load data
    replace
    in the table1 table:
    fields ended by ',' optionally surrounded "" "

    Source_System_Vendor_number tank "ltrim (rtrim (:Source_System_Vendor_number)),"
    $vendor_name tank "ltrim (rtrim (:Vendor_name)),"
    )

    Address_line2 tank "ltrim (rtrim (:Address_line2)),"
    Address_line3 tank "ltrim (rtrim (:Address_line3)).
    )

    the problem here is loading into a table, only the first. (Table 1)

    Please guide me.

    Thank you

    Kumar

    When you do not provide a starting position for the first field in table2, it starts with the following after a last referenced in table1 field, then it starts with vendor_site_code, instead of $vendor_name.  So what you need to do instead, is specify position (1) to the first field in table2 and use the fields to fill.  In addition, he dislikes when 1 = 1, and he didn't need anyway.  See the example including the corrected below control file.

    Hello

    Looks like you need to specify the right column delimiter (comma, tab, etc.). Check which delimiter is used in your csv and make sure that you specify in the field "separator".

    Hi all

    I use OBIEEv11.1.1.7.I imported Essbase cube in RPD and I load sheet Essbase Excel data using smartview.

    My question is after you import the cube in OBIEE do I still need load the new data into Essbase cube or is it possible to load data directly to the OBIEE to excel for any Essbase cube?

    Thank you

    Hi GP.

    Essbase substitution variables can be imported and can indeed be referenced in OBIEE. So I think that you have a solution here :-).
