SQLNET.log generated in the directory root

Hello

I use the oracle 9.2.0.8 version
SQLNET.log file is generated in the directory root on my dbserver and it is consuming a lot of space in my root directory.

can I delete sqlnet.log under the root directory?
It will do no harm to DB?

all trace levels are turned listener.ora as long sqlnet.ora
regarding I know the log file should be generated in $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin.

why it generates the log file in the directory root and how get rid of?

Thanks in advance

Yes, this file can be deleted safely.
But look at this file to find errors, why they are so many and are trying to resolve the first cause.

file is under the root because it is the directory at the time of the error.
Check who is the owner of the file and verify that this user made, and why not be able to function normally.

But if you want to get rid of this file, you can then follow metalink Note 162675.1

  • Unable to write to the directory root on cRIO

I need to create a folder in the root directory of my cRIO but when I try to do it via the web interface (Silverlight) it gives me an error 403 (refused).  I can create and edit files and directories in existing files located in the root directory.

The seller has managed to create a new folder in the directory root on our previous cRIO, but now we are trying to set up another one on our own.  They told me that they don't have to do something special that they do not forget to create this folder.

Any ideas as to why I wouldn't be able to do this, even if I have all permissions on the device?

It's confusing, but "all permissions" web interface are only "all permissions for the web server has permissions for things", that's not all. See http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/4EBE45E8A816B19386257B6C0071D025 - more precisely:

    Write access

(ETS, VxWorks) Your target provides write access to its folders and files.

(OR Linux in real time) If you want to modify or create new folders and files on your target, you can only do in the following directories:

    • /home/webserv

    • /home/lvuser

    • /tmp

Note: Your target deletes the content in the temporary folder /tmp on target restarts.

Restricting access to the root directory makes the system more robust (prevents the change of important system files).

  • Reflow installation creating strange ps1, ps2, ps3, ps4 files on the directory root of my secondary drive.

    Some background information:

    Win7 Pro, x 64

I just got Adobe CC and made a install a lot of software on my drive C: System, which is a small SSD. D: drive is a separate physical HARD disk. I then created symbolic links for many of the software (not to mention as PS, Illustrator, InDesign and smaller ones like all software "Edge") and those of my drive D: for storage. Once more, to clarify, reflow and Photoshop are two natures on the drive C: System where Adobe CC them installed initially.

After you have installed the reflow, three files were created on my D: drive, named: ps1, ps2 and ps3. Their structures of folders are almost, if not completely, this is identical to the other:

    5dYKPmL.png

A quick search system of 'reflow.generate' has also identified one identical, sitting inside my Photoshop CC directory to:

    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2014\Plug-ins\Generator\reflow.generate CC

This folder has the same structure of folder/subfolder as above.

I wonder what the ps1, ps2, ps3 files are and what they do sit in my D: drive directory root. I tried to uninstall reflow, after which these records have disappeared. I then reinstalled reflow and they appear again as p1, p2 and p4 (instead of p3). The other folder in the Photoshop plugins folder, is back as well, as seen here:

    fNdj5Zc.png

I understand that these records are part of the Adobe Photoshop / Edge reflow generator plugin that I watched a video of. What I don't understand, is why I'm getting these additional "ps" files on my other drive. The only other thing I can think of that might help, but I have the Photoshop work on the d: drive. Reflow Edge has not competed at all for its own facility, however.

These "ps" files are safe to remove?

    Thank you.

I don't know exactly why you PS1 - PS4. Files in there are supposed to settle in Photoshop to our integration of Photoshop. It could be that the installer has confused on which the PS has been installed.

It is safe to delete these files. If you want to use the reflow and Photoshop do you run the installer again to see if these files are moved to the right place if they weren't already.

Hope that helps and thanks for using the Reflow!

OK, I have a genealogy site with about 500 cards family tree (generated by 3rd party software) that are all connected to each other... and within these htm files are gif (many small lines) files that link the names in the charts. Charts and gifs are all in a subdirectory, and when I downloaded it with Dreamweaver, none of the gif files show upward in the charts... so is there some way I can use edit it, find and replace function to solve (img src =) code where it will use a fixed path for graphics and working with gif files when you downloaded back to the host? ... and if necessary, clear gifs may be easily in another directory, I just need to be seen by all the files in the diagram.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and thank you, 3G

    Hi 3G,.

No offense! I leave or better put all the photos in a single directory. It makes sense to put some of them in a useful subdirectory which is important for the site in use. Then 'show' your DW where pictures are to declare the correct path of the file. After that you can download them with all your directories to your host! This is your 'ready' tool, nothing else!

And I'm sure that you can work with 'Find and replace' mode code to make your job easier, where it's useful.

  • How to move a site to a subfolder in the directory root?

On my server root directory has all kinds of junk inside accumulated for years, and my main site is in a subfolder, with a redirect to it in the index file in the root. I want to delete all the unwanted from the server and move my main site in the root directory. After I clean up the server and folder root on my computer, can I just drag the contents of the secondary folder, where my main site is in the root in DW and then upload to the server? Or do I have to do this in the Finder? (Mac) This will break any links? Thanks for any help.

    > All your links are broken, or should I say all links to a file that is moved.

Huh? This is not true. If you move a file in DW it will scan the content of your files and invites you to automatically update the links. This is why you should always manage the locations of files and names within DW.

  • Why I can't name a folder in the directory root with a name beginning with A, B or C in Windows XP?

I find that I can create a folder called Barton in the C: directory, add files, but it disappears when I reboot.   A search finds nothing of what was in it.  I thouroughly checked for viruses, spyware, etc.  The file for 'hidden' attribute is not enabled.

The problem is the "Ask Toolbar", but you can continue to try things if you want.

Things just disappear after a reboot, right?

Do you think that I would like to ask a specific question and sharp if I did know about this?

When you did check, messing around and try things, you may want to fix.

  • How to make the site root-relative links work in DW and the server?

See details on buggy behavior DW image link, below. My question is:

    (1) how the site root-relative links work in DW and the server? Or...

    (2) how to reliably automate change of hundreds of links relative to the root of the form

    /images/image.jpg relating to the document?

    In other words, to

    .. /images/image.jpg or

    .. /.. /images/image.jpg or

.. /.. /.. /images/image.jpg etc... According to the location of the directory.

The old format (/images/image.jpg ) used to work properly in my previous Setup of DW 8 but appear grey in DW after 'redevelopment' of mac cs5.5 DW. (they look good on the server, but it is difficult to change the image-heavy pages locally when they are all gray).

I tried to change the files to how DW creates relative links root now:

/public_html/images/image.jpg, which is a flow of root very easy, attractive, since there is a one-to-one mapping. These look great in DW, but are detailed on the server!

I looked at the "Advanced" site configuration, and it seemed that it would be possible for the nuke part /public_html/ of my server info... but it also seemed that there was the potential to do damage, modification of these parameters, which are automatically generated from our server connection settings, which seem to work.

The "links from the document / site root" toggle... did change how DW interprets existing links, or simply change the value by default when you add a link?  I did 80% of the file... before paper links I wondered if relative to the root is not better?

Of course, it seems less ambiguous for all these pictures if theres a way to make the relative root works for the mode of creation of DW, DW link checking and server.

Think of your site definition is set up wrong.  public_html should not be to anywhere in your local site.  It is up to your remote site under the directory root definition.  See screenshot.  In my example, the root directory of the server is htdocs /.  This is where you put public_html

  • After you turn off the root of the directory utility user, I went back to the main screen and all other user accounts showed is no longer at the start, as they were before you enable the root user.  Help.  Please, I beg you.

I have activated the user 'root '.  It was an attempt (for the sake of granddaughter age) to check its history since I am the administrator.  Realizing that this method was much more complicated than what I am capable of managing, I returned the utility program directory and disabled the user 'root '.  I thought that everything was ok, as I did not made anything while connected as user 'root '.  Instead, restart the computer, all users, including myself were no longer at the start.  The only point was a blank user name and password.  No picture.  No guest.  No user.  How to return those and I did something to cause this?

Else you being logged in as root?

Activation and deactivation, then root should not have caused that.

Also, having allowed root is one of the ways you get a login screen showing only the name and the password.

You should be able to type in your user name and password to connect.

One time connected, check users & groups system prefs, Connection Options and make sure he's on the list of users. You will have to click on the padlock at the bottom to make changes.

Well, you very probably not a lot of space on the left under/Home.

You can move to another location that is located on/home/oracle/orInventory the / partitioning of the partition where you probably have more space left if you used the default value.

For example, as a root user:

    mkdir/U01

    MV/home/oracle/oraInventory/U01

    Update /etc/oraInst.loc and replace

    inventory_loc = / home/oracle/oraInventory

    with

    inventory_loc = / u01/oraInventory

  • Dreamweaver CC does not connect to the right root directory

    Hello.

I'm running DW CC on a Macbook Pro OSX 10.7.5. I made a change to a link in a page file and put it to the remote server, but the direct page still showed the old link (even after the update).

After a number of possible causes of troubleshooting, I found that the hosting provider (Hostway) apparently recently moved the site files from the root directory of 'www' to the original address in a new root directory called "web". So I put files for "www", which is now a dead repertoire.

I deleted the old configuration of server (because just to change the root directory has not changed anything) in the DW ftp client and created a new one with the new root "web". But when I connect to the remote server it is always showing the "www" directory and there is no way to get to the "web".

I have more no reference to "www" in my server settings, but still, DW insists on going there and will not let me connect to the correct directory "web".

I deleted my personal configuration file and that made no difference.

I downloaded the edited file "Web" successfully with Fetch and live Webcam page is now updated.

Any ideas? I can't use the DW ftp client.

    Thank you!

Boy I feel stupid (and rightly).

I have two servers, put in place for this site; the original Hostway server and the server on a VPS Wiredtree. In the Site of the future server configuration window has been verified under the column "at a distance". So even if I changed the settings for the current server Hostway, DW linked files new, not-yet-live-server, who also happens to be in a directory named "www".

This also explains why all the dates on the server 'www' are the same; because we have downloaded the entire site there is one month.

I'm so sorry for wasting your time. This reminds me of the movie Slingblade where nobody can understand why the mower won't start not (bad spark plug, plug clogged air, etc.) and it turns out be gasoline. «Ain't got no gas init.»

    Thanks again for your help.
