squeaking noise

I would like to know how to eliminate a squeaking noise. It happened just after I lived the paper jam. When I retrieve the jammed paper by following the instructions in the manual to guide users, there is already a creaking sound whenever I print and it's really annoying to hear.

Hi @brigettetamara

Let's try the following steps;

  • Remove the toner and check for any paper or obstacles on the inside of the printer (use a flashlight).
  • Check the toner to make sure that it is not damaged (example of blade that comes out).
  • Run a cleaning page through the printer.

Use the following document for instructions; Remove a tray paper jam, cartridge box, or the output tray.

I hope this helps.

A few months ago, I was lucky to win this TV, a 106 cm LCD Regza HD display.
I was very happy because I could never afford it myself, and I am very happy with its performance in general.

I found however is that it emits a high frequency noise that triggers tinnitus in my hearing. (For tinnitus are a squeaking noise acute heard by people who have damaged their ears, sometimes called ringing in the ears).

I guess that my hearing is already sensitive listening to lots of live music over the years, but I think that this noise is excessive.

    Hello Pete

As you can see it's Toshiba computer forum and I do not think you will find a lot of people here who want to discuss LCD Toshiba TV.
In any case, if the TV is new and with valid warranty the best option for you is to contact the service people and let check your new TV.

    Hello

My HP m476dw has a squeaking noise when something is printing.  He souonds as the rollers needing oil.  Where can I get help with this.  The noise seemed to be stronger when we printed an envelope.  I don't know if it's because of the plateau of substitution, or roll simply because substitution plateau was opened allowing noise inside to escape.  Is it an auto fix or do I have to take this heavy printer at a store?

The squeaking is most likely coming from a toner cartridge.

I would recommend against trying to oil the rollers in the machine, you are more likely to cause a problem, and then to set a.

  • hard drive noise and noise fan excessive cooling of grinding

I started to hear a noise of creaking, apparently from the hard drive of my laptop (2 years, HP Pavillion) last month. The cooling fan runs faster than usual. Performance does not appear to be significantly affected, it takes another 3 to 4 minutes to start.
What are the possible causes? Shows the squeaking noise and fan of serious problems? Can they be repaired cheaply?

You can have a hard failure.

Back up your data as soon as possible, in case of failure of the HD.

Hard drives are nowadays a resonable price.

  • NOISE FROM WHIRRING/CHIRPS X201T

I've had this machine for over two months now - and I can't stand the noise. I followed every lead that I could find online - setting parameters of the Bios power management settings. For a while I even thought it was ok (it's much better) when it is plugged. But if I cannot use this machine when it is plugged in - what is the battery 8 cells. More to the point - which is kind of defeat the purpose of a laptop.

The sound is sharp and completely cause - therefore, extremely irritating. It is not the hard drive - as is an SSd. It is the upper-left corner of the machine - as far as I can tell search onlin is something to do with the Intel chip/processor. Is there something new someone met? I bought this machine for writing and since I can't concentrate with this squeaking noise in my left ear, if I can't get this resolved, I will do everything in my power to get a refund. I got a lot a lot of portable - PC and Mac - and have never encountered this.

I have the same extended warranty, but did not trust Lenovo service after reading horror stories on this site telling laptops stuck with Lenovo for months. My solution was to do what I could solve the problem--and also resolve to never buy a Lenovo again. What frustrated me most is that it seems a simple problem to solve - if a click of a button in a shareware like Throttlestop can immediately stop the noise - how Lenovo quality control or the attention to detail can be low enough for you bother not to do something equivalent for their users.

My own solution to the problem has been tinkering with the Bios power management settings - combined with the power management settings in the Lenovo software. For me the parameters that did were:

Tools Lenovo - controls power / Power Manager - same settings for battery and power

-The value "performance (the irony of it!) -

Processor speed - control panel - maxium - lowest (hurray - I must totally paralyze my machine to shut it up!)

-optimize the fan control - to balance all the parameters

    -display of brightness - high

-plan of the graphics power intel - balanced

    -Idle timers - all down/never

    BIOS - (f1 at startup)

    Config - Power-

Wake timer with battery operation - disabled

    Intel speedstep technology - enabled

For ac mode and mode for battery - maximum performance (irony once again!)

Adaptive thermal management - plan for ac and battery time - 'optimize performance '.

Power management of processor and for the pci bus power management / pci express power management - disable

Turn on with Ac tie - people with disabilities

Hope this work for one - if they did not work for me I think I'd take a hammer to the machine!

Side effect seems to be a bit much noise fan constantly running - but at least it's a constant background noise - not the aperiodic intensely irritating whining/chirrup!

It is interesting to note that representatives of Lenovo here seem totally uninsterested in this thread - as they seem to be in the question itself.

  • Need a new Equium L10-300 AC adapter

    Hello

MY ADAPTER IS MAKING A SQUEAKING NOISE AND DOES NOT RECEIVE ANY POWER THROUGH SO I THINK I SHOULD GET A NEW ONE. PART # 3396E-1ACA PA, I CAN NOT FIND THIS MODEL KNOWS THE FACT THAT I CAN USE INPUT AC 100-240V OUTPUT DC19V 3. 42 A (3 PINS)

    Thank you

As you say the 65W PA3396E - 19V - 3. 42 a - 100 ~ 240 v is part of the right and you should be able to order it from each Toshiba authorized service provider in your country.
I also searched the PA3396E number in google and found a lot of offers.
    I see no problem

  • Stor.E ALU 2s no time-out

    Hello
I have several Toshiba USB hard drives, that I use as storage media with a cable TV box.
Type DTP110 turns off after a few minutes if you do not use.
Type Stor.E ALU 2s continues to operate. There is no point when not in use.
Desturbing more however is the squeaking noise when the box is turned off, which cuts the power of the forced HD.
I sent a request for Toshiba if there is a tool to set the time-out, no response.
    Anyone know a solution?

    See you soon,.
    kyriako.

    Hello

I don't have a solution for you, but I may be able to enlighten us.
It is likely that the hard drive does not meet the host power management controls.
I don't think it's possible to solve by any other piece of software, unless it's an update of the firmware.
If you want you can chech in running a modern Linux host and attaching this player.
Run the drives under Gnome application and try to read the SMART attributes and / or request a counters.

The results it will show the way.
Success at the point of Linux to a kind of incompatibility between the HARD drive and your device.
Same result in Linux shows that the HARD drive does not respond to these common commands and there is not much to do about it.

  • OfficeJet 6500 E709n: Failure of 6500 all in one ink system

Recently inherited a 6500 all in one and installed this AM.

Everything was going fine until I had to print a test page.

    Error: Ink system failure.

The manual says disconnect power and reconnect after 10 seconds.  This did not help.

When I ask to print, it says printing the error message and then it makes a grinding noise - in that order.

Then an error message appears on my pc computer screen.

This printer has been moved from one House to the other - it would have something to do with the message or the squeaking noise?

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you for your suggestions.

I had 2 problems: ink system failure and grinding.

The solution you provided workd partially - that is to say, I can print now but...

First of all, concerning the failure of the system of ink - the operating manual supplied with the machine to stop the machine, unplug from wall, waiit 10 sec and reconnect.

I tried and it doesn't work.

The ground ' n you provided (from HP for the SAME model as my machine) gave another way to reset the machine - turning machine on, unplug the machine, unplug the unit from wall, wait 15 sec, wall plug, machine to reconnect.  In that order.

Similar, yet very different and IT WORKED.

    So thanks for that.

But the machine still makes a grinding noise that lasts about 3 seconds.

I press print, paper flow, paper comes out of the printer, and then there's grinding hard.

Back then a series of sounds as if something has been reset.

All very very different from my previous 960C that is turned on when I printed and do not grind or reset of sounds.

    Clues?

  • OfficeJet 6100-E611h - grinding when feeding paper

When the printer is inserting paper into the printer, then printer, where is a squeaking noise.  It seems that the wheels need oil.  Have used compressed air to remove all dust, etc. - has helped reduce the noise a bit, but is always constant at the beginning and at the end of the page printing.

Cannot find a FAQ which has solved this problem.  Any ideas?

    RB0512,

Thanks for the information. I would like you to complete the cleaning in the Solution of three steps, to see if that helps to release the squeaking that you encounter:

An Error Message "Out of paper" appears on the computer and the printer is not looking upwards or the paper feed "

Please let me know if the cleaning process helped, I look forward to the results!

  • NTFS file - inconsistency of disc?

Hi I have HP Pavilion and for these last days g series, before entering windows, a message appears (it looks like BACK...) telling me a disk check is necessary and that there is a sort of contradiction... I bypassed it (it gives u such a choice), and then did a clean disk and Defrag but everytime I turn on my computer it does it again. And when I open the files on the disc is also a kind of squeaking noise...

I've only had my laptop since September... whats goin?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

    You are welcome

If it takes a few more minutes, try the following

Click on the Start Menu, computer, left click Local disk C once to highlight, right-click Local disk C and select Properties.  Click the Tools tab and then click on the button "check the drive for errors.  In the next window make sure that both boxes are checked, then click Start.  It will schedule Chkdsk to run at the next recovery - click Ok and then restart to see if she now performs a complete check-up.

  • Fan failure

I hear a squeaking noise coming from the CPU Tower and I'm receving a "512 - undetected rear chassis fan" error on initialize toward the top.  I guess this means that one (or more?) fans, or are in the process of, in default.  I have a service center that will install new.  I just need to make sure that I have order the most suitable?  Thank you!

Take a look at the fan to find the manufacturer and part number.

A Google or Bing search the specifications. Just buy one that has the same size of fan and moving the same or better air in CF/M.

The simple solution if you plan to do yourself is to take your desktop with you PC a true PC shop and ask the technician. They are generally quite useful in this regard. In fact, it does not much time at all to share the CPU fan when you know what you're doing.

You can find instructions on how to apply the material to thermal interface on sites like Arcticsilver.com. Don't forget and remove all the old pad thermal interface with a suitable solvent.
