SRM 5.8 there not enough licenses

Hello

I am facing the following problem with MRS. 5.8 (vCenter Server 5.5 U2), setting up groups in the following way:

SRM5.8 Error.png

The SRM server on both sides is allowed as below, and used virtual computers suck.

SRM5.8License.png

I have re-installed the license key again and restarted the SRM Service and by the below KB VMWare Server, with no use

http://KB.VMware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US & cmd = displayKC & externalId = 2041891

Please help and advice.

In the screenshot, it seems that you have added the license key for the system. Have also you assigned him to the SRM itself solution? Here are the instructions that you must follow-> http://pubs.vmware.com/srm-58/topic/com.vmware.srm.install_config.doc/GUID-BA06E6CB-C937-4629-A38A-D0342CCC21CA.html

Let me know if this does not work.

  • Why I get that there are not enough licenses installed to perform the operation?

I have three servers that I fight with the chance to talk to an hp 1510i, but it's a different test. I have rebuilt the three servers 2 and now when I try to add them to the virtual Center 2.5.0 I get "There not enough licenses installed to perform the operation." These machines were on Virtual Centre before I rebuilt the. I don't understand why licensing is not be happy. Can someone give me advice on how to fix?

Let me know if you need more information.

    Thank you

Your image shows 0 licenses for virtual center agent, that's why you can't add.  Check your hosts and see which servers are using what licenses.  A reboot must have cleared out the number of licenses, which must have caused the hosts re - synchronize the license info, which they periodically anyway.  This may take some time, depending on your host is on the refresh interval.  Make sure you do not have more than 6 ESX host, because that's what you are licensed.  If this is not correct, check your license file is not the correct information.  You can always go online to the portal of licenses and generate a new.

  • There are not enough licenses installed to run the operation

    Help.

I have installed SRM and Setup. I reproduced volumes and everything looked good. Only, I went to perform a test well and received the following error message:

"There are enough licenses installed to run the operation.

SRM is approved on the my protected site (a little too much actually licensed) but it is showing as "expired" on my site of DR. I guess it was running an eval license. It's a little confusing because I understood that only the protected site needs a license, not the protection site so I don't know what to do here.

The Administrator's guide seems to propose to add a key (the?) on both sites? For that, the conditions of licence of cylinder head no?

I'm sure you need SRM under license on both sides.

  • ESX 3.5.0 317866 there are not enough licenses to perform the operation

    Hello!

We have not changed anything in our virtual environment for 2 months. And now when I tried to turn on a virtual machine, I got the error

"There are not enough licenses to perform the operation.

As I understand it, there was a bug in some versions that should be fixed now.

Under the configuration of hosts and licensee I have ESX Server edition as unlicensed.

Then I click on edit and choose ESX Server Standard and click OK.

But the ESX Server edition remains as unlicensed.

In the VMware license server tools, everything seems fine. (As far as I see)

Below, you have the status of License Manager

Retrieves all the steps in this article and everything seems to be in order

    It simply doesn't get it.

You probably already checked this, but make sure that where it shows the license server in the CR, it says "not found".  If so, modify, change anything, OK.  And he can then reconnect.  This happens a lot in one of our branches in bad bandwidth.

  • 'There are not enough licenses installed to perform the operation.' windows server 2003 you want to host Suse

    Hey.

Have installed VMware Server on my windows server 2003 64-bit want to give it a go...

The server itself is a Dell Vostro 410 with a Quad Core cpu and 8 GB of ram.

Im getting the error "There are not enough licenses installed to run the operation." after passing by the web wizard and make a virtual machine and try to start.

When I click on the link ' power on ' this message appears as the error immediately detailed.

The server runs a student version of windows serv licensed 2003 (if that makes a diff).

I want to install Suse Linux 32

By Googling I found im not the only one getting this error, but I couldent find all the solutions related to this and not of ESXi.

Hope, one of the yall know what happens

  • Add ESX server assessment to VC with error: there is not enough license installed to run the operation.

    Hi all:

I added two esx servers in my vc received the error: there is not enough licnese installed to run the operation.

There are some servers esx with correct license file in VI3.5U3 in my environment. I want to add more than two servers esx with evaluation mode in this virtual Center. I got error.

connection to the esx server directly without vc, to feature license tab, I selected evaluation mode is ok. but I can't added these in vc. Why?

    can someone help out me.

    Thank you very much.

    hihiy

I don't think you can, you need to turn your TC to eval too, and before we do, your VC should not exceeded calclation eval of 60 days from the first day, it has been installed.

BTW, since you have valid VC 2.5 license, and is not the Foundation of VC, why don't you showing your ESX with eval license server to license? Add then the two ESX to your existing VC?

    Hello

    1. what exactly is the problem you are having with the computer?

    2. Since when are you facing the issue?

    3 are logged as administrator?

4 did you a recent software or changes to the material on the computer?

    Method 1:

I suggest that you try to perform the file system Checker analysis on the computer. The scan will replace all the Windows files corrupted with new ones.

Click on the link mentioned below for further guidance on the scanning of the file system Checker

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

    Method 2:

I also suggest you to run a full scan using the Microsoft Safety Scanner and check.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: there is a risk of data loss if all the files are infected and which can be removed in the cleaning process.

Hope this helps and keep us posted.

  • not enough ESXi license problem

Hello, I have a lot of esxi servers

    and a center of virtul

they have licenses before and they end

After that I find the license and install them in vcenter

icant add the old esxi to this vcenter he says tehre are not enough licenses it indicates the key, specified name or ID already exists.

    I restart the services

    service mgmt-vmware restart

    service vmware-vpxa restart

    restarting the service vmware-vmkauthd

I have remove the esxi /etc/vmware/license.cfg license.cfg file

    nothing change

and in the other servers I'm unable to access the specified host blah blah...

OK it is clear now - you have VC 2.5 adds an ESX 3.5 hosts - so you need to update your server VC.

In addition, you wrote you have Esxi hosts - but the hosts that you tried to add are ESX 3.5 (no Esxi).

  • I just noticed that at the bottom of the content library, it no longer displays "new playlist" that does not mean that I did not enough memory?

When the new playlist is more to show what this means that there not enough memory left.  My hp desktop computer said I have only 931 GB left.

The new playlist option is always available under the file menu or by using the CTRL + N keyboard shortcut do not know why the button was taken away in the last update of iTunes.

You can also click anywhere on the bar of the left hand under your existing reading list if there is space, and you will see the option for the new playlist.
