SRS Premium Sound @ startup

SRS Premium Sound must be run as a startup application. I have an HP Elite Book and this program has been added to startup applications by the OEM.

Thank you!

Hello

SRS Premium Sound is just an audio reminder to PC. It improves the sound quality. There is not bad if the SRS Premium Sound technology is included in the startup applications.

To learn more about the SRS Premium Sound technology, you can refer to the following link.

  • Z1 workstation: accidentally deleted SRS Premium sound...

Earlier last month the SRS premium sound 'audio improvement' function stopped working on my computer, just as he did to the user in the following thread well that I have not updated.  I had not done something that he has just stopped working no reason.

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/notebook-audio/SRS-premium-sound-enhancements-not-working/TD-p/2377719

It is very annoying as the speakers on this computer are all simply too quiet without this improvement, especially when streaming movies online - even at full volume, you cannot hear the dialogue very well.  I studied the problem and found a link to a driver who would do my speakers louder, it worked, but it sounded terribly saturated (I don't remember what we called this driver), anyway, that has stopped working also.  And then I discovered that what I had downloaded had deleted the SRS for my computer driver/software, the icon was no longer in the Panel "Hardward and Sound."

I tried to find the SRS Premium Sound software to re - install on my computer, but all I can find is a different version with a small interface that does not seem to do anything. It's too late to do a restore of the system as well.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try the older versions of the audio softpaq.

There are a total of three versions on the following web page.

  • Pavilion dv4-1220us SRS Premium Sound

So I have a HP Pavilion dv4-1220us with SRS Premium Sound(printed on my casing and came with computer) I downloaded and installed the update of the BIOS for my laptop exact BIOS from HP (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-75532-1&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=3860431&os=2100&lang=en) after you install the BIOS of my computer restarted. When it restarted it said I didn't have his windows automatically installed the IDT HD Codecc drivers but with SRS Premium Sound technology. I tried to download the audio drivers from HP (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=2100&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=3860431), but not its SRS?

How can I get my SRS Premium Sound work and back on my HP Pavilion dv4-1220us

I had the same problem that you have done and did a Google search, which led me to this post.  Like you, I noticed on flashing the BIOS version F.52, Windows "found" high definition Audio Device as it has never previously been installed.  I realized he killed my SRS sound.

I can tell you that flashing back to F.4A and installing drivers above brought back my SRS features in the IDT Control Panel.  I have flashing F.52 to F.4A (old version) without any problem.

Support for Windows 7 was apparently introduced in F.4A and F.49, by their release notes:

F.4a: Updates the OPROM Computrace to support the next generation of Microsoft Windows operating systems.

F.49: Adds support for future Microsoft Windows operating systems.

BIOS F.52 caused me the noise problem and also my laptop makes Beeping very occasionally when starting.  He also made Windows prompt me to "remove" the DVD-Rom drive in the taskbar...  Decommissioning of the BIOS took questions (and I lost one afternoon to do)

Just trying to help...  If anyone has these problems, try flashing to F.4A.

If you want to install any software supplied with unit, then you will need to find the swsetup folder. To find the right folder program, will make you more than likely need to try running Setup in each file to find what you are looking for. The installer must list what it is and it can be cancelled. Some may have a file readme.txt as well, so this could be another way, if it is present.

If you go to the folder of the application via the context menu, it will take you to the program folder files, that it has been installed. I can't guarantee a functioning copy / paste from there. Some programs must go through the registry to create a registry key to work and this is done during the installation process. Honestly, you should be able to access a partition from Windows. The partition of Windows 8 should be accessible from Windows 7 and the Windows 7 partition should be accessible from Windows 8.

  • Loooow Volume with srs 'premium sound' on Inspiron 5010

I have a laptop Dell Inspiron 5010 and when you move the volume to 100%, I can barely hear the sound.

My husband has a Dell Inspiron N5110 (we have two Windows 7) and its sound is supreme!  (My 100% is his 20%!)  I have all its parameters set in correspondence with my machine and my volume is still unacceptable.

I am trying to edit music on my laptop and I can't hear it accurately!   A Dell sales representative suggested that I have buy another card its srs... What do you think?  I'm not tech savvy, I'll have to take it to someone to install the new card.  This could be something simple like an audio driver problem?

I'd appreciate your suggestions! Thank you...

Hello. The problem is in the hardware or the audio driver. Although both the Inspiron N5010 15 and Inspiron 15R N5110 IDT audio material, they do not share the same audio driver IDT, so that could explain the difference (or it could be a hardware problem).

I suggest you try all the audio drivers available for your model to see if it gives the greatest volume. 2 available IDT drivers:

    IDT 6.10.0.6267 (old)

    IDT 6.10.0.6289 (most recent)

You have currently either one of those or the driver audio Windows native. I suggest you just go about it like that.

First open the Device Manager (type devmgmt.msc in the start menu > Search box and press enter). Expand the 'controllers, audio, video & game"and look for"IDT High Definition Audio Codec ". If it's there, right-click on it and 'uninstall' and select the delete files option. Restart the laptop and check in the Device Manager again to be sure that IDT has disappeared. If this is not the case, repeat. When you see just "high definition Audio Device" instead of IDT, then you are ready to test pilots.

    1. the pilot named simply "High definition Audio Device" is the native Windows audio driver. When you looked in Device Manager first, IDT was not here it means that you have already been using the native driver. Test the audio with the native driver and note the volume level.

    2. download and install the IDT 6.10.0.6267 (former) driver. Test and note the volume.

    3. download and install the IDT 6.10.0.6289 (newer) driver. Test and note the volume.

If the old driver IDT made the better, you must completely remove the most recent old IDT driver files before you can install the other more again (as per instructions above).

If the native driver was the best, here's a simple way to switch backwards between the natives and the IDT drivers. The reason why you do not want to do, it is that the external microphone jack does not work when you use the native driver.

    1. open Device Manager (type devmgmt.msc in the start search box and press ENTER).
    2. develop the 'audio controllers, video & game' and right click on "IDT High Definition Audio Codec".
3 Select this option to "Update driver software".
    4. click on "Browse my computer for driver software".
    5. click on "Let Me pick from a list of drivers on my computer".
    6. put the "Show compatible hardware" check box if not already checked.
    7. in the list of devices, click on 'High Definition Audio"(native driver).
    8. click on "next".
    9. in the update driver warning box, click 'Yes' (the driver).
10 restart the portable computer if you are prompted. If not invited, so no need to restart.
[To return to the IDT pilot, do it again but reverse the names in steps 1-6.]

If all drivers provide poor volume then it's a hardware problem. In this case, you could improve volume using the equalizer to your audio player, such as Windows Media Player and all levels by pushing all the way to the top. Another thing is to use the popular VLC media player which has a function to amplify the volume of more than 100%, but note that this can damage your laptop speakers because it performs this trick by saturation of the amplifier which creates a type of small speakers audio distortion can not manage. However, occasional small boost must be correct in most cases.

Probably the best way to cope is to use headphones or external speakers when editing and let them provide the volume you need.

A Dell sales representative suggested that I have buy another card its srs... What do you think?  I'm not tech savvy, I'll have to take it to someone to install the new card.

"SRS" is software. Your "sound card" is an IDT audio chip on the motherboard that can not be replaced. When audio hardware craps, you will need to install a new motherboard. However, you can use a usb instead of your IDT audio sound card, but it will not play through the laptop speakers - you can use headphones or external speakers which you could do now anyway.

There is a device that handset usb sound card and external speakers - usb-speakers. These devices are small speakers that get their power from the usb port, so they are portable and some are quite cheap. They contain their own "sound card" (CED), so they do not use the IDT audio. These devices are not very powerful but should provide at least as much volume 15R N5110 puts out.

  • EliteBook 8570w: the sound quality after update problem

I connected the laptop to a docking station. The docking station has a connection to a headset/external amplifier. Ideal to connect the amplifier. Only in this respect has more no bass. The connection of the helmet of the computer laptop itself has a pleasant sound, but I do not like to keep card 10 x a day between headset and amp switching. (Phone + Amp = echo). My alarm only works with external stakeholders, but Skype and Softphone want the headset.

Also, I turn off HP speakers in the system and have no more just the external headphones, since one of the most recent updates the internal speakers don't turn off when the headset is connected. This has implications for readers audio and video players, as they want their sounds through HP speakers. Only VLC mediaplayer has the possibility to move from one sound channel, but I have to change every time I start a video.

Before the update, there was an automatic switch and I could let two of them on and the sound channel chose autamtically and turn to the helmet that was plugged, etc..

I use Windows 7 64-bit and windows 10 is not an option due to various programs more alumni who should be updated (if it is still possible), which would be very expensive.

I noticed something new has been installed called SRS Premium Sound Pro. Maybe it's the culprit. I dare not change anything in it.

Does anyone know how to debug this?

Sorry mate, but what do you mean by appeared in its characteristics?
If the HARD drive protection utility is not installed by default, the laptop does not seem to be equipped with a sensor HARD drive protection.

There are not a lot to do to ensure that all volume controllers have the highest value.
You can do this in Control Panel-> sound-> the Read tab
You will find various reading devices. Right-click on the device (speakers) and choose Properties.
Here you can set the volume level

Of course, you can click on the small speaker icon in the toolbar display volume control

  • HP EliteBook 8570p bad sound question

    Hello

I have a problem with the sound through headphones. The sound of the headphones of this laptop is thin, spindly, without bass, as if it was sous-échantillonné to 8 kHz, 8-bit audio. In the videos, I hear just voice of the people, his music is very poor.

There is nothing wrong with headphones, as I tried to listen to the same audio files on my smartphone with the same headphones plugged in and sound was normal. Also by the internal Laptop speakers seems to be ok.

    Things I've tried so far:

1 update BIOS and audio with the latest drivers. -No change.

    2. completely remove IDT SRS Premium Sound with drivers and system restored to default Windows drivers. -No change.

    3. configure Windows sound properties in the Windows Control Panel. -No change.

    I use Windows 7 SP1 64 - bit Enterprise Edition.

I had this same problem with a 8570 executed on an advanced docking station p. I have updated my drivers audio, makeshift with settings, etc.. If I plugged my headphones into the audio output jack on the docking station (where my speakers are normally plugged), the sound was very good. But since the headphone jack, I got the same intestine dialogue, n-bass muffled and vocal-type problems you had. When I tried to configure the device audio speakers/HP on the plug headset, I was not getting stereo sound.

As paradoxical as it may seem, to solve the problem, I had to pull the plug on my helmet just slightly out of the. Once the CAP has been implemented correctly, clearly, I had stereo sound. It seems a bit ridiculous, but it give a try.

    I am running Windows 7 Professional 64 - bit.

    (Sorry for my bad English)

    Hello

    > I have installed on my Windows Qosmio 8.1 and all drivers.

AFAIK the Qosmio X 70-A-12N were pre-installed with the 64-bit Windows 8.1 system and this OS has been configured by Toshiba.

Have you installed new Windows 8.1 or have you used the Toshiba system?
Have you created way recovery (recovery disc or USB flash memory stick)?
In the event that you create this recovery disk, I recommend you use it to set the system back to factory settings. This should solve your HDMI sound problem.

How about, installation of other Toshiba Software as for example driver of Toshiba, driver etc. of display system? Have you installed all the drivers Win 8.1 and the tools that have been released for this unit?
Software could be the main reason for your HDMI problem
