When

I opened a session with vClient connect to vCenter 4.0 and after

fill out the credantials, an error message appears: "request failed because of an error SSL", however this

message does not prevent access to vCenter. How can I stop considering this message?

This could be due to an outdated plugin in the vSphere client.

I suggest you try the following steps:

Disable all Plug-ins in the vSphere Client.

1 open the vSphere Client

2 - Click on Plug-ins > Plug-ins to manage

3 disable all Plug-ins by double-clicking it and selecting disable. (You can reactivate later using the same procedure)

4 - restart your vSphere Client and check if the error still appears.

If the guilty plugin is VMware vCenter Converter, make sure that it is upgraded to the latest version on the vCenter server.

(for example this passage from 4.0.2 to 4.1.1 - r206188 solve the problem)

5 - once updated the plugin on the server vCenter, reinstall it in vSphere Client using the plug-in Manager. You can also let the guilty plugin disabled in the vSphere Client.

    You try to send a file larger than 20 MB.  Try to reduce the size of the attachment of zipping it or go to tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Advanced and select the option to break messages apart large.  However, many recipients servers will not accept messages exceeds 10 megabytes, then you could try to send via another method.  BTW, if you attach a file, it must be encoded to be sent by e-mail, and this coding adds about 30-50% the size.

    I had a problem with my customer site, some analyzed server are SSL error very high rate. It can go to 95% + that almost all of those transactions cannot be retrieved later in FxV well, some other quite normal. After discussion with the customer, know that they just upgrade their 32-bit Windows to 64-bit Web server. And they remove the entry of these servers in server monitor FxM and back again. But it does not help. Any idea, people?

    If these servers are the servers that have just improved 32 bit - 64 bit. But there are 4 servers do not encounter the same problem not been updated too...

    My computer is able to use the internet perfectly except when I try and connect to any website of google (google.com, youtube, gmail, etc.), it gives me an ssl error saying

    Unable to connect to the real mail.google.com

    At first, I thought it was a browser issue, but it's the same on all my browsers (IE, firefox, chrome). I even tried to disable my firewall, but the problem persisted. Also, it is not a router problem as google sites work fine on all my other devices. I also ran a full sweep of mcafee, and no problems were found. Please help me.

    OK guys I found a solution, if anyone else is having the same problem and that is that my computer time has been bad so now correct the time that google Web sites began to work.

  • SSL error after upgrading vSphere

    I upgraded to vCenter Server 4.0.0 today and the following plug-ins do not load when you start the VI - material status vCenter client and vCenter Service status.  The error message in the window manager plugin is "the following error occurred during the download of the plugin script of https://servername:8443/cim-ui/scriptConfig.xml: Impossible to connect to the remote server."  The tab overview of performance also does not work either.  After some searching through the logs I have determined that when the management of Web Services service starts it generating SSL errors.  The newspaper of vpxlicent I see several messages "Validation SSL failed in WebRequestPatch" followed by "no connection could be established because the target machine actively refused it" when it tries to download the scripts for plugins.  In addition, I see it in the tomcat log, catalina.2009 - 07-23, when to start the service of Web services:

    SEVERE: End Point initialization error

    java.io.IOException: could not decrypt entry content secure: javax.crypto.BadPaddingException: given the final block not well padded

    Followed a few seconds later by the present (after much more SSL error messages similar to the one above):

    NEWS: Stop Coyote HTTP/1.1 on http-8443.

    I'm assuming that the last line is the reason why I can not connect on port 8443, and why a netstat doesn't show anything listening on this port on my box of VC.  I know that my certificates of work (up to a certain point) because if I connect via https on port 443 for my box of VC, it works fine.  It is only by trying to connect to 8443 this problem occurs.  I already tried the steps of http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US & cmd = displayKC & externalId = 1010641 even if I don't get all messages that point to problems of name resolution and it did not help. 

    Anyone have any ideas?

    I had same problem as described above. In my case, the reason for which the 8443 service did not start is that tomcat was trying to use the wrong password to open the file rui.pfx. I did the following to solve this problem.

    1.) stop windows services on vCenter

    (2.) %PROGRAMFILES%\VMware\Infrastructure\tomcat\conf\server.xml open in Notepad

    3.) search for "< connector port ="8443 ""

    4.), you will see that this line refers to the rui.pfx certificate file that was change when you updated your certificate. Update the 'keystorPass =' for the password of the rui.pfx certificate.

    5.) start the vCenter services

    NOTE: The password cannot be empty for the rui.pfx as it was in my case, because this would cause its failure. I had to import and then export the rui.pfx with a password to get the above to work for me.

    Even SSL rejected a unacceptable content handshake message.

     The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
     Please contact the web site owners to inform them of this problem. Alternatively, use the command found in the help menu to report this broken site.
    

    I contacted the Organization (to the site) and they did not have any other contact with them on this issue, and so I guess it's a problem with my firefox or security. They reset my account, but it did not help at all.

    Would it because I changed my ISP since the last using this Web site? If so, how can I solve the problem?

    I had a whole violin after that you're suggesting that something can interfere, such as modules. No luck there, but I just tried to disable NetNanny temporarily and now the Web site work!

    I assume that NN is blocking the site somehow. Not sure if I can fix it, but at least I can use the website occasionally (i.e. how many times I need) by turning off NN for a few minutes.

    You seem to have the wrong settings for the account.  Try contacting your email provider and check that need to be addressed.

    I enter my user and pass and click login

    I get a "security alert" pop up indicating "the revocation information of the certificate for this site is not available. Do you want to continue? »

    There are 3 buttons to choose: Yes, no, display certificates

    I click Yes, but the error message does not disappear,... no matter how many times you click on Yes,... the error remains on the screen, keep you from making the connection.

    If I click on no.

    The clean access agent then says "network error!, detail: Certificate SSL REV failed [12057]."

    My only option is to click on the "Close" button so I don't

    This closes the agent clean access, but the agent instantly appears buck on my screen asking again user them and pass.

    I enter the right user and pass and click login

    I receive a new security alert pop up stating "this page requires a secure connection which includes server authentication." "The issuer of certificate for this site is unknown or unreliable, making you go?

    I click on Yes, the security alert disappears and own access now States that I managed to connect to the network.

    It refreshes my IP address and puts me in the vlan correct based on the role of my user name.

    I checked the event logs, all my access attempts are accepted, (on the 2nd try of course), but there is no errors in the cam on this SSL problem.

    However, I get a warning red text on the summary page of the cam, which stipulates the following, which I do not know if it has any impact on my problem.

    My questions are,

    -Why used the CAA accepts the first authentication attempt?

    -How can I remove the first security alert?

    -How can I set the CCA so that I login just once without having to click on no and wait for CAA to appear a 2nd time?

    The fundamental problem is that the customer is unable to check the root certificate for your CASE.

    I guess that since you have always the perfigo warning that you have not installed a certificate valid on the job. If you did, you must remove the certificate of perfigo. If you install a valid certificate, you must remove the Perfigo cert.

    Once you have a valid cert installed, make sure that the client can access the certificate server root of the AUTH VLAN. That should get rid of these two messages.

    If you cannot provide access to the certificate server, then you cannot get rid of the second message, but you can get rid of the first message (the one that sticks you in a loop).

    This message (the first one) is due because the check certificate revocation in Internet Explorer has been enabled. This option has been disabled by default in XP, but is enabled by default in Vista. The option is disabled in Internet Options > Advanced tab > check the CRL.

  • Certificate SSL ERROR - problem

    I created a new website for a client www.paradoxoil.com the website designer previous position an SSL certificate on the domain name and now in google search, the field appears with https://

    I saw in some forum posts on this topic but not a real answer that I can understand. Someone said about editing some links for guarantee? Some have said about adding a 301 redirect. I have contact the guys from domain associated with this account and they removed the certificate but it still appears in google the error message still appears. I tried to add the domain name in google as http://www.paradoxoil.com God knows how long it will take to change.

    Any help would be appreciated 100%.

    This looks like a problem to Apple Application Loader being their app. You must call the Apple support. My guess is that they have some system problems with the huge amount of app updates happening due to iOS8.

    I'm tempted to convert the Win2k3 Server physical to virtual (ESX 4.1).  When I try connect to Win2k3 box,-Error Converter:

    I looked through the papers and found this:

    Certificate of host is not complete.

    I searched through the KB articles and google and can't seem to find a solution.  I tried to connect directly to the IP address, FULL domain name and turn off SSL checks in advanced settings - will still not...

    Any help would be appreciated.

    I ran into this problem today and found this possible solution for you (it fixed for me);

    When you connect to a server using VMWare converter, the tool tries to query the target server using a number of methods, including the attempt to try to connect to any existing VMWare converter agents on the target system.  The default port for the agent of VMWare converter is 9090.  If VMWare converter can connect to the machine, but gets no response on port 9090, it should then proceed to ask you if you want to deploy automatically converter on the system agent target for you.

    In my case, something else on the target server was already using port 9090 and this confusion VMWare converter giving the error that you have described.  Your two choices are to temporarily disable the software using 9090 or manually install the agent converter, choose a different port during the installation wizard. If you choose this last option, don't forget to specify the port to connect to when you try VMWare conversion again, using the format (for example server01:9091)

    Have you set the basic URL for the management of the rights to use the right URL (SSL protocol)?

    In any case, try to stream MLB.tv on my S5100 BDP blu - ray and I get:

    The security of the target page cannot be confirmed.  An error occurred during authentication to the server.

    Netflix works great.  Stream MLB.tv very well on my old Roku and my computer.
