I get the error like below.

Any idea on this?

Is this is linked to the NFS locks?

Thank you

Is this is linked to the NFS locks?

Yes, or it is possible that the NFS is not mounted/accessible.

NFS: Why do I get "stale NFS file handle" errors? [1001459.1 ID]
NFS write error xx or NFS read xx - xx error mean? [1001356.1 ID]

It is an OS problem, so I would say that you contact your system administrators.

You have to remove and re - install anything. I had the same problem and simply disabled the McAfee Siteadvisor module without deleting. I then restarted Firefox and the problem was solved.

But here's the important part: I reactivated the add-on and then restarted Firefox twice. The problem is not returned!

Just so disable, reboot, re-enable and restart. It worked for me!

  • "File permission error" during deleting files on Windows 7

    Hello

I'm running Labview 2011 and have an application that has been developed to run on Windows XP. The part of the application deletes a file from the System32 folder, and then replaces it with another version of the same file (based on a specific condition). It worked perfectly on Windows XP. Now that I've migrated to Windows 7, I changed the path to access the SysWOW64 folder, where now stands the same file. Now when I run the program, during the phase of elimination, I get the following error:

    Possible reasons:

LabVIEW: File permission error. You do not have the correct permissions for the file.

When I try to manually delete the file in the SysWOW64 folder, I get a popup to confirm the progress of the removal. The file is then deleted.

Is there anyway that I can get permission to delete the file is automatically? I also tried to use the "Set permission" VI with the permission set to 511 (octal 777) but that VI also threw up the same file permission error.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Arun

Try to run your application with the option "Run As Administrator".  Windows 7 is very restrictive on who can do what.  It's generally a bad idea that requires deleting file to a system folder.  I think you should consider using a temporary directory to avoid this problem.

    Hello

    I have a few questions,

    1. If you redefine your controls with constants, that you always get the same behavior?

    2. what equipment you try to deploy to? If it's a cRIO, have you formatted your controller and reinstalled the software for it?

    3. I did a little research and it looks like a potential problem may be with firewall/antivirus. Here is the document that explains that:

  • Engine.ReleaseSequenceFileEx (): modified sequence file handle is not released

    Hello

    Hello all

I am facing a problem of leaking memory, basically, motor TestStand cache is not cleared. I have a file of main sequence calling a .NET dll. The dll has functions to remove the steps in the sequence "DestinationSequence" in "TXTModify.seq" and insert a new step in the same sequence after that. The operation is performed without flaw and I see that my "Modify.seq" TXT"file has been changed.

After the transactions are made I am free the "TXTModify.seq" movie file handle by calling Engine.ReleaseSequenceFileEx () on the file of the modified sequence. But as soon as I close my TestStand sequence editor I get WARNING Debug (debug warning screenshot is attached). This waring should not seem like I already deleted my file handle of sequence of the TS engine cache by calling Engine.ReleaseSequenceFileEx ().

Please help me get rid of this warning. Your generous help or suggestion will be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

PS: C# .NET source project so all the necessary sequence file are attached. You must keep the file in the sequence to a specific location (create the folder structure)

    Location of TXTModify.seq: \Source_Code\MemoryLeak_SupportFiles\TXTModify.seq d:\Core_ATE_application\Test_Executive_domain (TED)

    Location of HTMLModify.seq: \Source_Code\MemoryLeak_SupportFiles\HTMLModify.seq d:\Core_ATE_application\Test_Executive_domain (TED)

I'm enjoying what the leak memory has disappeared which is new good infact. On the other hand, I understand that your sequence is not changed. How do you check on that?

You don't save any changes made to the file. If this is desired?

You can check the behavior in a simple test:

Create a new sequence file in the sequence editor, and then save it. Open (in parallel) for example, by default c#-User Interface installed with TestStand editor mode. Load the sequence file it.

Now, it must be open in the sequence editor as well as in the user interface. In the user interface, add a new step of the action in the sequence. Please note the in the user interface, the file of the sequence is marked with a *-symbol which means there are unsaved changes. Switch to the sequence editor. You will see no change in the sequence.

Switch to the user interface. Save the file in the sequence. The *-symbol will disappear.

If you switch to the editor of sequence once again, you get will announce, that the movie file has been changed by an external process. You can now load changes in the sequence editor.

Question: Is that what you see?

    hope this helps,

  • LV 2016: LabVIEW could not create the required channel file permission error endpoint; NOR-488: Error of hardware detected DMA

I just installed the new 2016 LabVIEW with the two patches and wanted to check the new feature.

When you create a channel writer, there was a pop up select the Channel end point, but whatever the option chosen, there is a window saying "LabVIEW could not create the required channel endpoint", error ccode: 8 file authorization error

    NOR-488: Error detected DMA hardware.

I have error permition from file to file, file that is?

By chance, do you have re-defined the default data directory in LabVIEW?  LabVIEW uses to host files for the warp threads, and if you moved from its default position in your profile (C:\Users\\Documents\LabVIEW data), especially if you moved it to the root of C:, it could become unalterable.  This must remain in your profile!

  • In practice, how do you handle errors?

This issue arises out of a project I've been working on a database. Customers pull a work from a database, run it, and then post the results in the database. I have a prototype that does well enough, with the exception of a few questions (which can be written in chalk upward at the bad design).

The first concerns the race conditions: when a customer takes a job from the database, it has first checks the task settings, then updates the status of the work to 'Running', how much work can be pulled by another customer. The race condition occurs when two customers to get the same work and are trying to insert the results of the work of the same in the table of results (primary key error). I intend to add a phase "pending" to avoid this problem.

A second comes when the DB goes down, for some reason any. It's on a laptop, so downtime is planned on the occasion, but these errors are more difficult to propose a strategy to correct.

Now that you see a bit where I come from, the main question.

How you guys set up the error handling?

I thought using a construction like this:

The basic idea is to fall more and deeper structures in case Error-No error and handle errors constantly running the code in a while loop until we get no error. The problem with this approach is that a lack of support for recursion makes this code very very messy. I'm not sure how to determine which codes for a set of uses of screws, in order to make the correct handling of cases for each of them.

I understand the importance of the management of errors and get the base implementation of this one, so the docs NOR and Sixclear videos are too simplistic. What I would like to find is a depth into the constructions of error management resource. Is there such a thing?

Take a look at the attached PDF - it shows a fairly comprehensive list of how to handle errors in a loop/application.

It does not cover the things that you can do with indicate error as the user, logs the error etc.

What you are actually doing is strongly dependent on your application!

  • "Word cannot complete the save due to a file permission error."

I have Windows XP.  Recently, this message appeared when I tried to save my Word documents: "Word cannot complete the save due to a file permission error."  I can always eventally the record via a temporary file, but it's very messy.  "A file permission error" - what on Earth is this?  And what should I do to get things to normal?     Ron Davis, Newcastle N.S.W..

When you press the F8 key and access the Safe Mode start screen, use the arrow keyboard keys to select "Safe Mode with networking" and press the Enter"" key.  A list of startup items you will see on the screen, but after all that, you will get a normal login screen (except the screen may seem bigger than normal and 'Safe Mode' can appear in the corners of the screen.  At this point, log in as any user with administrator privileges.  After successfully login, you should be able to right click on a folder or file and select "Properties".  When the Properties screen, you should have a 'Security' tab at the top.

Another approach is to use the command line command "cacls" to a normal startup that will show and allow you to set permissions on files and folders.  (Start-> Run-> "cmd") and then you can use the cacls command.  The Calc command syntax can be found here:

or you can type: cacls /?

"Cacls" allows to screw things easily and quite bad so if you can switch to the tab 'Security', which is the way to go.
