Start several areas simultaneously 1 installation of Weblogic server?

Is it acceptable to create and manage several areas simultaneously. Better yet, when several areas on 1 Server WLS, each area have another port number in order to be executed at the same time?

Here is my scenario - I have installed Oracle Business Intellgence, which, by default, installs and configures the server WLS for some Business Intelligence applications (BI Publisher). This instance is running fine and good and always.

Then I got another application, Oracle Data Integrator, that has a Console piece that requires a domain on WLS. So rather than change the existing for Oracle Business Intelligence domain, I created a new domain through the Configuration Wizard and selected these Oracle Data Integrator components.

That is why the current areas:

...\domains\bifoundation_domain--> installed automatically as part of Oracle Business Intelligence
...\domains\odi11g--> I created this area after I

Now I have 2 domains under 1 WLS Server (windows 7 64-bit), but if I startWeblogic.cmd for the bifoundation_domain and I startWeblogic.cmd for the odi11g... While the components for the bifoundation_domain will be available via the WLS Console.

Issues related to the:
-Can I simultaneously use two domains?
-I changed the bifoundation_domain to include the Oracle Data Integrator components. so only with 1 domain, but have all run under this area?
-Is the Port for each subject of the domain? field, the bifounddation_domain and the odi11g use ports 7001

Are there other aspects? Thank you very much.

Hello

For the side things WebLogic:
-Yes, you can run two domains on one machine. You can run as many areas that the computer/server can handle.

-The ports are important on what you use. Basically, the relaitonship is that you can have 1 WebLogic Server running on port 1. Otherwise, you'll have weblogic servers, prevent others from commissioning. So, you will need to make sure that all of your weblogic servers are configured on separate ports. 7001 is the default port WebLogic AdminServer. You can modify the ports that are used from the Administrator console or '% Domain_Home%/config/config.xml '.

Thank you

    Hi Maahjoor,

There are many places you need to change the references of the new House of Java. They are listed below

    Measures

0 stop Weblogic Server, including the server managed running on the same machine

    1. If you have set a JAVA_HOME environment variable to your server / machine - that Edit again home

    2. the following files will be hardcorded the path of java inside. Replace the same editing through Notepad.

    -$INSTALL_HOME/wlserver_10.3/common/bin/commEnv.cmd

    -$INSTALL_HOME/user_projects/domains //bin/setDomainEnv.cmd

    -$INSTALL_HOME/wlserver_10.3/common/nodemanager/nodemanager.properties

    -$INSTALL_HOME/utils/BSU/BSU.cmd

    -$INSTALL_HOME/utils/QuickStart/QuickStart.cmd

    -$INSTALL_HOME/utils/uninstall/Uninstall.cmd

    -$INSTALL_HOME/user_projects/domains //servers//data/nodemanager/startup.properties

    3. manually change the service registry to reflect the use of the new path of JDK (Nodemanager > settings > PATH)

    4. manually change the service registry to reflect the use of the new path of JDK (Nodemanager > settings > JAVA_HOME)

    5. manually change the boot arguments server if you give everything in the Weblogic Admin Server administration console / managed server

    6. start the server Weblogic including managed server running on the same machine

Recommendation: Better to have the common path and the name of directory of java (IE without any version, as C:\jdk)

  • Installation of Weblogic server 10.3.6

    Hi all

I installed it, weblogic server 10.3.6 on 6.4 rhel 64 bit, and successfully completed.

    I installed in the directory/u02/forms112.

The next thing is I want to start/stop the weblogic server, but I can't find the startWebLogic.sh script

Please help how to configure weblogic, after installation.

    Thank you very much

You will first need to create a domain. The script will be generated for each area. So far, you have only installed the weblogic binaries. Run the config.sh to create the domain.

  • installation of Weblogic Server 10.3.2 on Windows Server 2008 R2 x 64 64-bit?

    Hello

I am trying to install the 64-bit version of Weblogic Server 10.3.2 on my Windows Server 2008 R2 SP2 64-bit operating system.

First of all, I downloaded "jdk-6u24-windows - x 64 .exe" and installed on my 64-bit platform.

I downloaded "wls1032_generic.jar" and try to install it by the command below

    "java-d64-jar wls1032_generic.jar".

However, I received the message below

    Unrecognized option:-d64
Could not create the Java virtual machine

All options on this problem. Where am I wrong?

    Hello

You must ensure that the following things:

    (1) If you want to run your WLS on L 64-bit mode, then you must use the generic installer Jar example: * "java-jar wls1032_generic.jar" *.

    (2) the pot above must be installed using only a 64-Bit JVM so that all libraries in 64-bit will be available with the WebLogic when installing it. Then first download a 64-bit JVM Woindows Inbox.

Then simply run the following command to check if the JVM is 6 t 4 little or not:
    Set JAVA=HOME=C:\My64BitJDK\jdk1.6.0_21

    * $JAVA_HOME\bin\java-version *.

    (3) you can now start your setup of WebLogic as follows:
    * $JAVA_HOME\bin\java-jar wls1032_generic.jar*

  • Generic installation of Weblogic Server 1035 problem

Running database 11G on Win 2008 Server 64 bit. I downloaded the version of Weblogic 1035, following the installation guide step by step provided by Oracle Support and additional documents such as:

The installation was successful, and I proceeded to create a test domain (dummy_domain) to test whether the installation has been able to receive http requests. I started the server administrator. In Internet Explorer, I then entered:

    http://localhost:7001 /.

and got the following error message:

    Error 404 - not found
    RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol--HTTP / 1.1:

If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (refused) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through a configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.

Any advice as to where I could go wrong would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, J

  • Oracle BPM installation on existing weblogic server

    Hello friends,

I have the server Weblogic (1035_generic), SOA_generic (11.1.1.5), jdeveloper 11.1.1.5 installed and configured on my system. Initially, I did these facilities to work on the BPEL, ADF, OSB, etc.. But is it possible to install and set up the environment of BPM on the same server? If possible can someone please provide me with the directions to set up the same.

    Thanks in advance...
    Shravan.

Take a look at page 34 of the Quick Start Guide for Oracle® SOA Suite 11 g 1 material (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/soasuite/overview/quickstartguidesoasuite11gr1ps4-459545.pdf). You create or expand a field, you are given the option to include the BPM.

To extend JDeveloper to include BPM look at page 49 of the same document.

Guess you could already know, but do not use the same Middleware for JDeveloper directory that you used during the installation of WebLogic Server.

Now, I installed the generic Setup for weblogic 12.1.3 and want to integrate EM with her. Can someone share an overview on where to find BCI to installation for the same.

I searched but he was able to find the following: Oracle Enterprise Manager Downloads

I don't know if it is the installation that I need to install on my Weblogic 12.1.3

    Thank you

    Hi guys,.

I was able to understand. After the installation of weblogic server 12 c get Downloads of Application Development FrameworkApplication Development Runtime configuration.

Install the configuration at the same location where you installed the weblogic server. During installation, you will find that the MA will now be installed.

The problem lies in your additions to the script installSvc.cmd

We have for example the following as our middleware-home directory
c:\bea. In this directory, we also installed a JAVA virtual machine say C:\bea\jrockit_160_05_R27.6.2-20.
When you create a domain (using the config.cmd script) the domain you created
is placed in the c:\bea\user_projects\domain\base_domain directory (assuming that we have
called the base_domain of the field).

Now, we must add the following definitions to installSvc.cmd

@rem JAVA_VENDOR and JAVA_HOME are set in the call to commEnv.cmd
@rem JAVA_VENDOR is checked in commEnv.cmd to be Oracle or Sun
    set JAVA_VENDOR=Oracle
    set JAVA_HOME=C:\bea\jrockit_160_05_R27.6.2-20

    set USERDOMAIN_HOME=C:\bea\user_projects\domains\base_domain
    set SERVER_NAME=AdminServer
    set DOMAIN_NAME=base_domain

@rem i am assuming it is running on localhost
    set HOST=127.0.0.1
    set PORT=7001

In your case, it becomes (just a guess)

@rem use Oracle instead of BEA
    set JAVA_VENDOR=Oracle
@rem the location where your JVM is installed
    set JAVA_HOME=C:\bea10_64\jr

@rem if bea10_64 is your middleware home and PA_domain is your domain name
    set USERDOMAIN_HOME=C:\bea10_64\user_projects\domains\PA_domain

@rem the rest should be alright
    set SERVER_NAME=AdminServer
    set DOMAIN_NAME=PA_domain
    set HOST=10.0.1.28
    set PORT=7001

If you add the following to uninstallSvc.cmd you can uninstall service

    set SERVER_NAME=AdminServer
    set DOMAIN_NAME=base_domain

Has anyone seen this error, or did someone knows how to solve this problem?

I had several java installed on my computer so I thought this might be causing the problem. I went ahead uninstalled all the software just installed and java Oracle JDK 7 55 of update for Microsoft Windows x 64, set the path to be able to run java and ran "java-jar fmw_12.1.3.0.0_wls.jar". Installer is coming now.

  • What is an installation of WebLogic footing (Journal)?

After having problems I couldn't solve with WebLogic, I did a clean install and the server starts properly with no exceptions are thrown. This is a new installation with no deployment.

This look like a healthy plant? A part of the log, what concerns me here is:

  • Installation of WebLogic 10.3.5 on Windows

    Hello

We are trying to install weblogic 10.3.5 on computer 64-bit windows 7 .

We have downloaded the http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/weblogic/downloads/wls-main-097127.html Installer - installer of column (additional platforms (JAVA VM for 64-bit Support, see Note above)) 11 GR 1 material Oracle WebLogic Server (10.3.5) + consistency file - install Package - credits: 1 GB

You download a zip file, which contains no exe file it contains. Der otherwise is to install it on the windows machine?

    Please suggest.

    Thank you

    Hello
To install the server Weblogic for 64-bit is slightly different, whether for Windows or Linux OS operating system.

    1. first of all, you install 64 Bit JDK or Sun JDK or bea JRockit MMTK. They all have two 64-bit jdk.

    2. set the 64-bit jdk above in the PATH of approx. Because by default when you run java-version it can show the default jdk that comes with windows or linux. then all first set the path env variable and make sure to run java-version to show your 64-bit JDK.

    3. download the generic installer which is the 1 GB .jar file. Incase if it is downloaded zip, rename that to .jar. I checked all the time and I see it's the .jar file and need to download like .jar instead of the .zip file.
    http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/E15523_01/doc.1111/e14142/start.htm#BEHCFFFB

    4. you won't see any installer .exe. Use the command below. At some point, it does display and use your 64 bit JDK during installation process.
    Java-d64-jar wlsversion_generic.jar

See below notes from the link above in the previous section:

If you install WebLogic Server on a 64-bit platform using an installer .jar:

Include the - d64 flag in the installation command when the use of a hybrid 32/64-bit JDK (for example, HP - PA, HPIA and Solaris64 platforms. For example, if the installation in graphical mode using the package installer:

    Java-d64-jar wlsversion_generic.jar

Run the java-version command (or java-d64-version control on the platforms using a hybrid 32/64-bit JDK) to ensure that your JAVA_HOME refers to a 64 bit JDK.

    Thank you
