  • Built-in SIM card problem

Anyone heading the question where they took contact with care of apple and the representative on the other end does not have the product you are calling for?

I recently had to replace my iPad 9.7 Pro at a local Apple store warranty. There was a glimmer of hope in the quadrant display cooer right. It was not extreme, but once I have the sewing, my eyes always went straight to the it later. Given that the unit was only a few months, that I wasn't old too satisfied to "just deal with it" then I won him in and ultimately they replaced. There is one thing that I like Apple, they really take care of their customers. Then I proceeded to drive home and get on the phone with AT & T to activate it, because the iPad was originally purchased at home and put on my plan.

After getting nowhere with AT & T customer service they transferred me to Apple Care because I didn't have an ICCID under settings/general/to words. After connecting the Apple Care representative I explained the problem. To my surprise, he had no idea on the SIM Apple integrated and kept asking me where was my old SIM and I need one to get cellular service. Now, I knew that this was not correct and I've tried very carefully explain that there is no SIM external it was enabled on the embedded SIM card, however, they guy fought me on it and sounded quite confused throughout the call. I also tried to activate it under the iPad option settings/cell/Add cell phone carrier/transfer again. This option does not work for me, because it has to do with a different plan type (I have or the representative didn't know) he says also my user name and password are incorrect, but it wasn't. I logged in full on the site without problem. As a result of this he told me to change my password for AT & T and that has not worked, it wouldn't have worked anyway, but now I know, it's just so that you can see the traces of events here. I was then left on hold for 15 minutes be say I have to call my service provider.

Just for the forum of reference for the iPad all Pro (to the United States at least) are made with a built-in SIM card, but also have a nano SIM tray for travel abroad. For those who don't know no way "embarked", it is built in the electronic device and is not removable. Why do that and do all sorts of confusion? It is designed to allow a smaller unit and is supposed to give more options for the selection of a carrier.

To resolve this problem, I took my replaced iPad 9.7 Pro at my local AT & T store the next day (today) to configure the built-in SIM card. They had me past in less than 5 minutes. Namely, if someone runs into his question, you need to tell the person you talking if theres no ICCID then its either one wifi device or if you are using a device with a built-in SIM card. They will have the provision to the CSN, which is a very long alphanumeric number located in settings/general/to comments made by verses the low only with the IMEI (obviously).

I'm just surprised that the 'experts' Apple Care had no idea what the hell I was talking about. I am an engineer 'EM and work on industrial equipment. Also, I have a technical support for hardware, software, networks and applications, so I have a bit of history and know how to get my message. I too am a former user of Windows and Android who migrated to apple for its ease of use, robustness and quality, and outstanding customer service. I now own the iPad Pro, mini iPad 9.7 4, Apple TV (3rd generation) and Mac Mini (late 2014). All of which are excellent products that I use every day and that he loves her. I also participates actively in the public beta program Apple with iOS 10 and Sierra of MacOS. Apple, if you listen... Take note that when a supervisor does not know the iPad Pro is manufactured with a built-in SIM, theres a problem.

    What do you think?

  • Stream HP laptop: starting flow Hp problem

So I was reseting my hp running windows stream 10 and deliting all files more space on my laptop

But when it was reset, a mensage appeared saying that the reset process was not over and a problem that happened...

Welll, ive tried to start it after that, but it was just released the hp logo, starts and restarts again and again in a continuous cycle

    What should I do?

    Thank you

It looks a bit like his do not booting from the USB, but the essential motivation.

If you try to leave the trunk of the tablet itself to usb, this could be the problem.

Have you tried to hit the Esc key to bring up the Start Menu, then select F9 for the boot device Options window?

From there, you should see the USB key to select.

Also, I first create a new installer for the tool of creation of media on this USB key, just to make sure its working and up-to-date.

If you don't get it to start the USB key, at the beginning of the process, then I remove all to leave them and let him create what he must again.

  • Game Sims 2 problems with Directx

I loaded XP prof on Tecra 8000 laptop. Sims 2 loads perfectly, but trying to play I get the message that I need new drivers for 3d as Directx 9.0 c does not.
    I can't find the drivers.

    This work on the laptop?

    Hello

Did you check the Toshiba download page?
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp

If you will not find the driver for this device you can try to search in other series of laptops that have the same graphics card.
In addition, you can visit the graphics manufacturer for this driver. But be careful: some Toshiba drivers can damage the graphics card. You can use it at your own risk.

As far as I know, the Toshiba graphics card drivers have a function of protection due to overheating problems.
In this case, you can always find the most recent graphics driver updates.

  • Satellite M40 - starting after hibernation problems

    Hello
I have a following problem, I used two OS linux and win xp, but one day, I decided to delete the linux partition, and there is the problem.
I was using the LILO Boot Manager to switch between operating systems. After you delete the Linux partition, I run Win XP and selected Hibernate.

Then the system is not successfully restore (probably a problem with the MBR after you have deleted the linux partition) and show that the screen full of strange characters.
'C', "f12", changing the settings of the bios does not help because win xp hibernation somehow has a higher priority.
For I can start from everything even to original Toshiba Recovery CD, because HDD ist first start eitherway.
I had earlier experencied that when I put in hibernation Windows, the boot parameters changed in the BIOS where used first after I close Windows normally down.

What can I do? Does anyone have an idea?
Can I somehow my laptop out of hibernation while turning on the power?

Thank you for your advice in advance
    Rafael.

    Hello Rafael

Of course, you're very impatient. Joke!

In my opinion, there is a problem with the MBR. If you start the device information stored in the MBR should give first info where is all the work saved on HARD drive (in hibernation mode).

I n t have concrete solution, but if you don t want to use Linux, you should back up all your important data and reinstall the operating system using the recovery image. After that the unit will be clean preinstalled and everything will be perfect.

    Good bye

  • Re: Satellite L350-203 - start-up windows problems

Hi, having a problem with this laptop. One day, when it would not start windows, it would go through the bar loading, then just a black screen and not progress any further.
Tried to fix the operating system Vista with the disc that came with the laptop and restore to another date, but it wouldn't work. Also tried to boot mode safe but it hang loading "crcdisk.sys", so I used an ubuntu live CD to boot into ubuntu and back up my data so I can re install windows.

Reinstalled vista, wipe the hard drive of all his scores in the process. It worked for a few days, but now the same problem happening again. Have tried to start in safe mode but still hangs on "crcdisk.sys.
I also used tool of windows memory diagnostic to check the memory is OK, and also the software on the vista disc that checks the hard drive is in good condition as well, but these two tests came back fine.

    Does anyone have solutions?
    Very appreciated

    Matthew Gorst

    Hello

The crcdisk.sys is a Microsoft Windows CRC disk file. I recommend doing:

! Insert the Vista Dvd disk into your ODD.
    2 select Repair
    3 then, command prompt
    4. type in the command prompt (all commands followed by Enter)

    Bootrec.exe /fixboot

    Bootrec.exe /fixmbr

    5 restart

    Hope it works

  • Start Qosmio G20 problem

I have laptop Qosmio G20, I got error message that my WinXP lost some system files and did not start. I tried to start Windows XP again (I lost the rescue floppy), but my Installer hunged up after 1 minute.

I tried several other bootable disks including Linux but failed. I suspect this problem in BIOS, I downloaded the BIOS from the Toshiba site, but I have not found all the files PDF with instruction how to create bootable CDs for update of the BIOS listed on the Toshiba site.

Maybe the problem is in CD/DVD recorder.
What other way to start my Qosmio G20, I have no USB floppy?

What do you think of hard drive? Is also possible that you have problems with hard drive?

  • SIM card problems

Okay so a few hours ago, I picked up my phone and the sim card had just "disassembled" itself, I guess you could say. On the lock screen, it said I had no mobile network connected, I couldn't call someone or text message to anyone. Then at 10 minutes ago he did once again, my way to solve this was to just restart my phone. It was as if the sim card was not in my phone, even if no one went near the sim card because this phone has been replaced in early January. I'm running the new Jelly Bean android, version of the 98.72.16 system. Is this a normal problem or no matter who else encountered this problem and understand what was causing it? Maybe this would be something that I do?

It seems that the Sim Card is wrong. The first thing I would say is to put the card back in the phone. Power the phone down, take out the SIM card and then put back. Turn on the phone and see if it works well. If you see the problem again just call Verizon CS to 611 and tell them what is happening and they will send you another for free.

You can go to a corporate Verizon store and get it replaced as well. They must see the problem for themselves in order to help you. If you expain the problem they might just replace anyway.

  • Windows Update does not start and other problems...

When I connect to windows update, the page becomes white and everything continues to load.  I can't start in safe mode to run all the patches.  I also have an annoying problem of svchost that takes more than 90% of my memory.  I ran every virus known to man program... MalwareBytes, Kaspersky, ESET, to name a few and they all say that my computer is clean.  I am running windows xp pro service pack 3.

    Hi Bopatop,

    1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    2. you receive an error message?

It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you configure the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See section to learn more about how to clean boot.

  • Start-Windows XP problem

Desktop computer with Windows XP start-up, the unit turns on, displays the Dell logo for two seconds.  Five seconds later displays the following message: Windows is not start because the following file is missing or damaged: System32\DRIVERS\pci.sys

You can try to repair this file by starting Windows Setup using the original Setup CD.  Select 'r' in the first screen to start repair.

I couldn't go past this message.  Nothing works to remove it except turn off the unit. He reappears on the commissioning group.

If you mean that you see a message like this:
Windows could not start because the following file is missing corrupt:
    system32\DRIVERS\pci.sys
You can try to repair this file by starting Windows Setup using the original Setup CD.
Select 'r' in the first screen to start repair.
I suspect that your pci.sys file have been deleted or quarantined by antivirus software.   Perhaps it was really distressed, but sometimes some scanning software will remove critical XP system files resulting in a scenario without priming (we'll call it an accident).
It is unlikely that you will need to perform a repair operation despite what shows the message.
Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, MSE, Comodo, etc..
Fortunately, there are multiple copies of the file pci.sys on your HARD disk in other places - just start on something to replace the missing file, then get rid of your afflicted software antiwhatever, consider something more user-friendly, some different scanning software, then difficulty of problems.
If you have a working CD drive, it is easy to replace the file.
First, you must start your system in the Recovery Console XP using an XP bootable installation CD or a bootable CD with the XP Recovery on that Console.  This
isn't it the same as any recovery or system CD which could come with a store bought system.
You can make a bootable XP Recovery Console if you need or that you don't have an XP bootable installation CD authentic.
Once started in the Recovery Console, at the C:\WINDOWS prompt type:
There is a copy of the file pci.sys here:
    c:\Windows\System32\dllcache
To replace the missing or suspicious file by using the Recovery Console, you must carefully type in this command at the C:\WINDOWS prompt:
    copy c:\windows\system32\dllcache\pci.sys c:\windows\system32\drivers
Answered in the affirmative if invited to replace the existing file and then you should see a message that 1 file (s) has been copied.
If you have a bootable CD to install genuine XP installed and if the CD is drive X, you can extend the file from the CD-ROM i386 folder in your c:\windows\system32\drivers folder by entering this command:
    Expand x:\i386\pci.sy_ c:\windows\system32\drivers
Answered in the affirmative if invited to replace the existing file and then you should see a message that 1 file (s) has been expanded.
Remove the CD and enter the command "exit" at the Recovery Console prompt to reboot your system.
    Report your results.
If your anti-virus quarantined file, then he is afflicted probably too and you should consider broadening your horizons of antivirus software a bit.  It should not capture on critical XP system files unless they are really distressed.

Do not guess what the problem might be - understand and resolve it. I need YOUR voice and the points for helpful answers and propose responses. I'm saving for a pony!

  • Start-up/login problem. Vista starts by the boot sequence then cursor and black screen appears but nothing else.

My laptop recently locked up when running a DVD rip, I waited an hour or so to see if he would respond, but he didn't, so I turned off the laptop by holding the power button down. I restarted the computer and it loaded correctly to the logon screen and allowed me to log in as usual. Once the computer was connected, I noticed that the sidebar was not loading, and when I click on what whether the locked computer.

To try to remedy this I tried to start the PC in safe mode to perform a restore could noticed that I had not created restore points. I then tried to fill a start last known good config upward, it did not work. Then, I tried a CHKDSK/r procedure at startup. It worked fine until step 3 of 5, on which he seems to hang, I left it overnight and it was still on the same stage. So I have powerd off the PC and tried to start. But now, the PC is delivered to the black screen and the cursor as shown above.

I created the new folder of the event log of the prompt on the Vista recovery disc option

I did a repair to start - no problems found

I checked that regedit in this \Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon. shell contains only explore

When you are looking for through other Forums a cause of this problem appears to be to do with the permissions of the user being changed by the chkdsk does not complete, however I don't see how to fix this through the command prompt.

As noted, I can access command prompt on the recovery disk. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

You already did a great job of troubleshooting - exactly what I would have recommended here if you had not already tried.  Play well!  Here is one that you did not and I would start one you tried (because I feel that it is perhaps the root of the problem.

Go to start / all programs / accessories / command prompt, right click command prompt and click Run as administrator (you can skip this step if you are using the disk).

If you use the drive, cd to C:\Windows\System32. Type sfc/scannow, go and let it run.  It will scan and try to correct some of your system files.  If all goes well he comes complete with no corruption, it could not repair (if it has these post of corruption here or try to analyze it to find the problem or files using http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928228.  Try to put all the corrupt files here so that we can see if they can be repaired with good copies of the installation disc (unless there are too many).

While in the command prompt, type chkdsk /f /r and enter and let it run.  She might want to plan itself to run at the next reboot (but I don't think that will happen if launched from the disk).   If so, answer Yes and restart to run the program.  It will scan and attempt to resolve any corruption or bad sectors on your hard drive and remove especially as a potential cause.  I know you tried this before, but we'll try again by using a slightly different command and see if it works this time.

I hope this helps.  If this isn't the case, then we should try to reinstall the system (backup first) as only option short taking in a computer repair shop. But we'll see what happens with the first above.

    Good luck!
