  • RAM Preview starts at the beginning of the work area

    Hello

I've just updated my computer to AE CC 2014 running on OS X Yosemite, and I searched around, but can't find anything on this subject.

When I do a preview RAM of my workspace, it will not start playing from the beginning. It loads the entire work, and if I sound/music I can hear the music start playing from the beginning, but I do not see the image plays until after about 1 second.

It is not because of the RAM preview of"current time" parameter, which is off.

  • RAM Preview plays is not in real time on the new Macbook Pro

    Hello world

I have problems getting after effects to play the video in real time in AE CS6. I use a brand-new Macbook 2015 Pro 13 "retina with a dual core 3.1 GHz processor Intel Core i7 and 16 GB of RAM. I just made sure my copy of AE CS6 is up-to-date with the latest updates (11.0.4.2), and yet I am unable to read the video or animation in real time using the RAM Preview to any size greater than 25% in the Viewer.  If I try to play a video clip of 29,976 fps, the framerate tops out at about 17-18 frames per second. When I press 0 for the RAM Preview, it starts caching the images such as normal, but even after a loop continuous cadence comes not near real-time. The audio plays fine, but the video starts immediately behind. I can't even a scene of simple great test of a form of retouching layer move on the playback screen in the real time RAM Preview.

That said, I can get it to play in real time if I reduce the viewer up to 25%. But obviously, I won't be limited to work in quarter resolution on a new laptop. My last Macbook pro from 2008 and completely across the well treated RAM previews, being able to cache images and play them back in real time without problem.  I have to assume that there may be a function that I'm missing or something goes wrong, unless I just grossly overestimated the capabilities of my new laptop.  But surely, it should be able to manage simple video playback. I had no problem using first on this computer, then it can of course deal with the video.  Any help you can offer would be much appreciated, because this problem becomes really frustrating!

Just for fun, try the trial of CC 2015 and see if it behaves correctly.

  • RAM preview will ignore the first second of reading suggestions?

RAM Preview skip the first second reading, in other words, reading the Preview 1 second after the beginning of the work area.

In the Preview Panel is not checked the box right now.

No matter where ICT is in the timeline panel or pointing to my workspace, the RAM Preview starts 1 second after the beginning of the work area. However, after the forecast plays through the first time it starts then where his supposed (beginning of the work area). It just started today and it makes me crazy. I am on a Macbook Pro mid2012, 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7, Yosemite, 2012 CC AE and AE CC2014 (both versions have this problem).

  • RAM Preview does not play from the beginning

Anyone run into this.  When I RAM Preview, it does not start video playback up to about 1 second at first.  When loops overview it plays from the beginning, problem is only with the first reading.  Annoying to say the least.

  • RAM Preview plays not the first image

Anyone having problems with previewing Ram replaying from a different place in the timeline other than the first image? I've seen what's happening regularly since the last update (2014.2). I checked my preferences, and made sure nothing is accidentally selected to play the last image key or something weird. But no I'm on a Mac Pro, running from Yosemite, I googled and saw nothing. I have not trashed my preferences again, because I'm not sure that it's a matter of preference and God... If I have to rebuild my rendering implemented once more...

So, to give you more details.

-J' hit '0' on my keyboard to launch a ram preview

-On SOUNDS that it is made each image in order

-When I type '0' again for reading, it starts from a random location usually 2-5 seconds since the beginning of the timeline.

-It will make a loop back and then play from the beginning of the timeline.

It does not use the line mark current time or anything that would make sense. It's random, but shortly after the start. I suspect he pulls a pre-comp nested key frame information and use it, but there is not a keyframe in the computer that I realized.

I do not have the "current time" box checked in the Ram preview options, and there are 0 skip frames in this setting as well.

If anyone has any ideas what it can be... I'd be happy.

I tried just add this option to display the queue and make just outside, but the result is a video slowmo. Also, when I import the video, the video is in slo mo so I decided to look to fix RAM but he stopped and played at full speed, but only a small part of it, please help.

  • during the RAM Preview and reading frame counters

I understand that I should be able to display the number
of the Treaty currently framework during a RAM Preview
in both the meter of timeline (in frame display mode) and in the info panel.
This does not work for me, and I'd like to see if I'm missing something.

This is the State of the counters with a current RAM Preview.
The only images update count is at the bottom of the composition window,
and it could not be visible during the processing of a RAM full screen preview.

    RAM PREVIEW CURRENT

    COUNTER_RAMpreview.jpg

This is the status of the counters during the RAM Preview playback.
Playback CTI is roughly 90 of 912 frame, but the counters at the same time the
Chronology and the compose window are frozen at zero, while the Info Panel
is frozen in the last number of the frame in the scenario (the last rendered image).

    READING OF THE CURRENT RAM

    COUNTER_RAMplayback.jpg

During the reading of the space bar, only the counter the composition window displays
the current frame.  The meter of the timeline is frozen in the frame number where
the CTI was stationed during playback started (in this case, frame 0).
The info panel displays only the playback framerate.

    READING OF THE STANDARD PREVIEW

    COUNTER_SpacebarPlayback.jpg

If I stop playing RAM Preview or standard using the space bar
the meter of timeline updates to the frame of the CTI, but if playback resumes
the frozen counter stays where ICT was parked at the resumption of play.
I feel this behavior using frames, timecode, ft + frames and using
    "To present" the RAM previews.

Please tell me I'm doing something wrong.

    > I can't seem to get a current account in the timeline will appear a rendering or reading circumstance

    This does not happen.

  • which is REALLY the point of the Ram preview?

Okay so in my AE comps that I'm trying to push an overview of my work, but it will go only so far and then it stops and I try to ram preview more by clicking on the new button, but then it does no more than him, he starts just again maybe halfway through what it is already doing and lead to the same point.  So I can't ram preview any more than a few seconds!

So I would like to know if the Ram preview is actually essential to export videos or using dynamic links in PR.  It's like "render" in Pr?  When "make you" the files because they will be better and play back more smooth and there is actually a difference once exported under a movie file.

or is it simply to be able to look at what you did in AE and no other reason?

because if I need Ram preview, all work in AE before I export or dynamic link to Pr as I seem to be screwed, because I can just Ram preview a little!

As its name suggests, RAM previews are for preview purposes.  They have no real use in connection with Premiere Pro, or your final renders, although you can save RAM previews if you choose to.

RAM previews are simply a convenient way to get an overview of your AE animation before committing to a final.  The duration of a RAM Preview is limited to the amount of RAM available on your system.  Try reducing the resolution of preview to extend the duration of a RAM Preview.

  • Can't do the ram preview, but why?

    Hello

I asked this question already in several forums. I had a problem with ram Preview in After Effects.

    My PC system:

    CPU: AMD Phenom II X 6 1055 t.
    Mother/card motherboard: GIGABYTE GA - 870 a - UD3

Graphics card: Gainward GTX 460 GS 2048 MB GDDR5
    HARD DRIVE: WD 500 MB
    RAM: 12 GB DDR3 SO-DIMM A-data value 1333 CL9
    Windows 7

    After Effects CS5

Now when I want to do a ram preview, it gives me only about 1.5 seconds, then it stops rendering. Multicore function will result in an error message: "not enough RAM installed. When I click on 'Détails' in the presets window in AE, it tells me:

    Installed RAM: 12 GB
    Current Ram usage: 0,31 GB
    Eligible Ram usage: 0.4 GB
    Maximum usable memory: 12 GB
    Maximum allowed memory: 0.4 GB
    Minimum memory required: 0.4 GB

Isn't this weird? It seems that EI is not check that there is 12 GB installed.

PS: In the settings I have the value 1 'Ram for other applications' and ' available for AE Ram"at 11.

    Have the same problem.

Win 7 64-bit AE cs 5.5 (not trial) intel core2quad (no AMD heh) 4 GB of Ram (1.5 reserved for other applications in memory & multiprocessing)

    Although this is not serious

This problem is really made by Firewall (dr.web in my case)

It is easy to check - just turn off your firewall and restart AE - you will see that all 3 problems are solved:

Start of 5-10 min (with the text "initializing media core")

the RAM use permit: 0.4 (I think that adobe is great, that AE works always with 0.4 GB of RAM)))

    problem with Quicktime

But we cannot work with firewall disabled. really.

So there's an adobe decision frome (for another problem, but it still works):

    Solution

In the settings of your firewall software, allow connections to make to and from the following applications:

    Windows:

    • AfterFX.exe
    • Adobe QT32 Server.exe
    • dynamiclinkmanager.exe
    • PProHeadless.exe

    From there:

    http://kb2.Adobe.com/CPS/857/cpsid_85711.html

    Good luck!

  • Audio imported video m4v jumps into the RAM Preview and make, but in the original film file

I import a video file .m4v in my After Effects project, and the sound jumps all random another second in RAM Preview and render output. However, the original .m4v video file plays audio very well when I play it on its own outside of After Effects.

I use after effects CC 2014 on OS X 10.11.6. The video file plays fine in QuickTime and VLC.

    Any ideas? Thank you!

AE does play very well with the audio compressed; Sometimes it is fine, other times it isn't.  Use a different application to export the audio as wav or aiff.  Import it into AE.  Disable the current speaker to your audio icon.  Add audio exported to the comp.  See if it works.

  • Cannot start the database after reducing the size of the RAM

    Hi all

I have a database of GR 11, 2 installed in virtual box VM. Initially, I got 3 GB of RAM for this machine (when the database has been installed).

    Help, please.

  • After Effects keeps crashing during the RAM Preview? [Sound problem]

Hey, personal Adobe! Adobe After Effects worked well during the first week! But about 3 days ago I discovered a major problem. Whenever I have add all the sound/music files in the application and click the RAM Preview, Adobe After Effect crashes. It was surprising to me because it never happened to me before. But here's the thing, if I don't add any audio files in my project and click RAM Preview, it does not crash. Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

    Thanks again!

You should consider updating your OS and your AE.

Apple fixed some critical bugs in that related to EI 10.10.5, so I'll try that first.

So, if you don't mind the new cool blue colors, you should also consider updating AE - at least to the last version of CC 2014. There was a lot of bug fixes and new features added.

  • Changes in the preview? Webcam live Preview or Ram preview

After that effect makes me crazy with his ram preview. I really liked the new preview of ramp in after effects CC 2015 (13.5).

But now it seems the work no more. If I push the zero to a long section of ram. Then I jump to a frame within the space of section and pushing, it will not playback smoothly. Its like there are two different types of preview stored in the computer.

At 13.5, it was great. Are there modified parameters that can be reversed to make it work like in 13.5?

I could have got it to work. For some reason any transmit it mercury has been transformed according to the update and even Moses, I have not activated output externally it looks like I have it did the trick. Need to use one day, or in check, but it looks like he has corrected it.
