State of Confusion?

Hi people,

I don't know if 'States' can do it or not, but I thought I'd ask. I want to create 8 different States, each State being triggered by a button on the same blade. I can do this, but the problem I meet is "unload" the first State when I activate the second State. The second comes on top of one.  Is there one way other than the drop and drag (BTW: nice job on the video Paul), hide or unload the first State when I activate the second State?

See you soon
Steve

Please, I asked for the display of the State, because it is still not clear at all. Is this a custom state of the button on which you change to?

I think it would be much easier in this case use show/hide instead of States because you can group all the objects (information) to be made visible and the action in this case could be a shared or advanced like this action:

Hide Gr_Info

See the Info_one

If you do this with States, since you probably want to enable by clicking in any sequence, you need something that will look like this:

Change the State of Bt_one Info

Change the State of Bt_two to normal

Change the State of Bt_three to normal

... etc for all the buttons except the one that was clicked

It could be solved more easily with the CpExtra in InfoSemantics widget (using the @syntax) but this widget is not free (value of its cost more), not included with Captivate.

  • Multiple time resets

This photo shows the ability to reset the time spent with a button. I tried to use a loop for several buttons, but the time does not work. Is the problem with the Subvi sync? Would it not be better to subtract get time in seconds Subvi?

    How does it work?

Your 3 State button confuses me.  The buttons say On, Off, Reset.  But your button States are on, off, Idle.  So, which converts code where you only compare the State of the button to on.  But also have another table of constants where it is an array of 1 d 8 element 0 and 1.  (Those who want to say?)  But when you make changes where any element of the array is 0, then you assign the entire table 1.  And if no button state = 'On', then you change the table in its entirety to 0.  I think that you will use on those individually for each button.

Why are you taking a button in 3 States and turning it into two different comparisons 'On' or not and a 0 or 1?

In addition, given that you initialize your cluster with a time constant of 0, your subtraction more late just give you right now, and not a time timed from a specific point in time.

I would recommend takes a bit of hindsight and charts how you want the logic of your code to go.

    Hello

Windows 7 64 bit can support up to 192 GB of memory (it is for Ultimate versions, business and professionals only), however the 8 GB limit see you for your laptop is due to the motherboard and it will not support more than 4 GB per slot.

This is also confirmed by the option of upgrade on Crucial.com

  • Fix for common problems associated with Windows Update repeatedly trying to solve the same problem

When the machine running Windows Update on a Windows XP Professional (SP3 with IE8), the information for the download of the ActiveX bar does not appear. Tried to run the Fix for "Common problems with Windows Update" and it says "Windows Update components must be repaired. Difficulty-it short, reports of success, "Found Themes" saying "one or more components of Windows Update are configured incorrectly". However, still unable to download updates from the information bar does not appear. Repeating the difficulty happens with exactly the same problem i.e. reports etc. but no success still can not download the ActiveX on Windows Update since the information bar never shows up.

At tried all the suggested solutions I can find for the reported similar problems such as checking the downloads ActiveX security settings, reset Internet Explorer settings, and even resetting Windows Update (Articlce ID 971058) components. Still no luck. Therefore, I am unable to manually check and download updates of Windows security.

Otherwise my PC works well. Norton Internet Security is installed but did not prevent Windows Update to work on another PC I have. The information bar appears sometimes for other downloads, and it doesn't seem to be a problem on the Windows Update page.

Please can you help. Thank you.

No, I'm not not first uninstall IE8 (or IE7) before proceeding with the repair facility...

Long history, technical, short version: do not uninstall IE8 (and/or IE7) before doing a repair installation (Windows XP only!) leaves the two Internet Explorer and Windows in a State of "confused" or "broken". Your only recourse now is a clean install of Windows (after backup your personal data).

No, another repair facility won't solve the problem - even if you uninstall IE8 beforehand.

  • Dell XPS 12 - will not start / turns on after hard reset

Last night I was with my XPS w12 in laptop mode on battery and he finally went down to 7% of the capacity.  At this point, it turns off the display and I moved my office to connect the power adapter (thinking it would simply turn the display when there was enough power...  The screen never came back (I waited 15-20 minutes), but the battery has been recharged.  At that time, I tried a hard reset by holding the power button for 5 to 10 seconds.

When I tried to turn it on, nothing happened.  No backlit keyboard, no screen, just the fan.  The light never came the switch either. So I tried an another hard reset with the same results.  I even tried to turn it on with the "D" button held down for on board diagnostics and got nothing more than the start of the fan.

I thought it might be an overheating problem, so I let it set for an hour and tried again - none other than the fan. It seems that the laptop does not pass the initial diagnosis and not even up to the point where the bios starts to load.

I really thought that my cell phone was dead and ready for use.  I took it in the office the next day so I could call Dell Support Pro. Just for fun, I plugged with the AC adapter and tried to turn it on - viola!  It started working again.

I had this problem once before, and he began to work after 2-3 resets hard. I was working on a proposal when the laptop went down. I tried reset hard over a period of 4 hours with no result. It baffles me why it start OK the next day morning.

I was wondering if anyone else has had the same problem.  I am running the A07 BIOS (the most common) and my 12 XPS is configured with 8 GB of memory and 256 GB SSD with an i7 and Intel wireless card.

Any suggestions on this diagnosis? The hardest part is then if fails, the failure is total - you are unable to diagnosis. When she comes back, all right, and there is than any event in the event log that relate to the failure.

OK - I narrowed down it to the following:

When the laptop is "asleep", it will finally in power mode. It seems that connect a power adapter for the laptop at this point will enter a State of confusion, when the button is pressed, the laptop fan turns on but no light on the power button or on the keyboard – the screen remains blank.  Laptop fan works (it is very quiet - he must hold the phone to your ear to hear it).

I don't know if the cause is a low battery or if the issue is simply with the State of the CPU to power down.  All I know is that when it happens, if I disconnect the power adapter and press and hold the power button until the fan of the laptop turns off, the hard reset allows him to come back normally.  If you leave the adapter attached, it will charge the battery but will not allow the laptop start.

I said this experiment several times with the same result every time. I'm guessing that there is a bug in the BIOS that defines an error state that are resolved with the associated power Board. Do the hard reset without the adapter seems reliable to fix the problem.

A tool for the last design trendy and beautiful looking for sites without using code.

What is today the need for customers?

A trendy & beautiful site that meets all of the media.

My suggestion is to combine the Muse, reflow and animate in a single product for designers who can use it without having to code.

  • Purple bar says 'click 'Sign' to fill... ". «instead of «please fill it...» »

    Hello

I used the form wizard to create a form and after I save the form and open it in the drive, said the purple bar at the top

Click 'Sign' to complete and sign this form.  When you are finished, you can save a copy by clicking on 'done sign. "

The form doesn't have any spaces for signatures, but they are not of the form fields.  We want forms to be printed and then signed and turned and I'm afraid that the above statement will confuse my readers.  I noticed that when I view the forms on the website of the IRS, the purple bar says:

Please fill out the following form.  You can save the data entered in the form.

How can I get my forms do NOT talk to sign the document?

    Thanks in advance,

    Ed

This is part of the new EchoSign feature available with drive and has nothing to do with the fields of digital signature. If you drive - activate the document, you should get what you want in the purple bar.

  • Clipping paths - practical uses of?

    Hi all

So I have a trace of shadow around a periodicity created with Xtreampath. A square with what I can only describe as invisible edges. Mostimes I find intuitive Illustrator but I honestly have no idea what to do with it.

    So two questions please.

    1. What is a clipping path?

    2. What are, it is practical use? Please provide examples of how you used, if I can find a practical use for it, so I'll be able to learn it!

    Thank you

    s

Then there is that the manual will not tell you:

In Illustrator, a clipping path (the generic term for a common building for which Illustrator inexplicably deemed necessary to replace by "Clipping mask") is the Illustrator for his 25 year, lack of the correct path cutting tool. If Illustrator users generally use clipping paths much more often that shouldn't be necessary.

An example: Illustrator has this wonderful ability to apply several traces a single path (under the table, he draws in fact several paths, but...). This is very useful for the development of road maps. Large print users, develop road maps include hundreds or thousands of paths open, unfulfilled. Said users then need to cut a small part or detail of the said card. But are all cutting tools for the path of the Illustrator... Well well... of junk, especially because Illustrator has some kind of mental with its own open paths, not satisfied to be demonstrated by the inability of the knife to cut and the inability of gum poorly designed to let the rest of them. Affection is also revealed in usage of combination path common controls that work correctly in other programs, but not in Illustrator. (Illustrator optimistically calls Scouts because their use in Illustrator does a State of confusion similar to get lost in the Woods.)

So the users throw up their collective hands and resort to using clipping paths... uh...... Masks that simply hide said users would really rather be able to actually cut, resulting in unnecessarily bloated PDFs and print streams. Just think of it as kicks from things on the floor under the couch when guests are expected.

    Mostimes I find intuitive Illustrator

I would have checked if I were you.

  • FRM-40039

    Hi all

run a form in Designer Forms 10.1.2.0.2 on Windows XP.

I'm getting same FRM-40039 so the default.env is the correct place for the .pll files to find. He has no copy of the .pll files in other directories and I m fully authorized reading, writing their etc..

More I added the same directory of the FORMS_PATH registry key (although this shouldn´be the problem, but anyway).

After still get FRM-40039 (and be in a State increasingly confused, to be honest) I tried the following:

I added ORACLE_PATH (same value as FORMS_PATH) in the registry and then I was able to run my form.

I have problems to understand this. On another client machine, it works fine without setting ORACLE_HOME in the register.

Any ideas would be appreciated :)

    Concerning

    Frank

    As frank said:
You must check again your FORMS_PATH to the default.env file in your installation of server applications.
Remember that launch that web forms module is completely different from the same module on client server or locally.
In the first case, your application variable will be sealed once, when you start your application server, and these variable must be included in your default.env file.
The varibales included: FORMS_PATH, APPLICATION_VARIABLES as confHome or applHome for java programs.

But for client server modules, your votre variable variable are implemented in your registry: FORMS_PATH, REPORTS_PATH, TK_ICON, etc.

The use of a generator of forms [9i] means, you must configure your Developer Suite as the server to be able to use the OC4J [Oracle container for Java] which is the only way to run a module on buiilder 9i forms.
If you need to change the default.env [and maybe a few other files inside locete: $ORACLE_HOME/Forms/Server, where ORACLE_HOME is the path of your installation of the Developer Suite]

After that, you will be able to run your form modules using your constructor.

  • database of apex moving to the instance of production using datapump

Currently, the apex database resides on a windows server and we would like to move to our production server (unix). I don't want to create a new database for the Summit on the unix server but prefer to import the apex tablespaces and users in the production instance. I tried to export only the apex schema and then import them into an instance of 'TEST' on the side of unix, but that doesn't seem to work since I get errors stating that apex users do not exist in the database target. Did someone done this before and they could identify how they did it.
My database of apex is to 10.2.0.1 and my database of production to 10.2.0.3

    user483999 wrote:
I'm only moving the database, apex applications will reside always on the server current app... After doing the import that I intend to change dad to point to the new database, and then test it...

The statement above confuses the hell out of me.

Apex lives in a database. He needs to access the items in the database.
Apex applications reside on an application server. They are in the database.
He can't see the items in a different database.

What if all you're moving the database and pointing to the application server to the old database, so any changes you make in the new database will be visible in the application of the apex.

  • Bug in LV? Confused: The property Exec.State to a closed vi?

I'm a bit confused by the Exec.State property:
Try to find out the status of a VI, I use a loop constantly running in a Spy.vi to get the FP. Open the status and the spy VI Exec.state, as shown in the example below.
    Works very well.

Except during the closing of the vi spied: FP. Open indicates that the façade has been closed , but the Exec.state is always 'Run of first level' or 'Slacker' depending on the State of the VI has been closed before .

Pretty sure this is not the right answer...

    Any comments?
    Ben?

Close a VI during its execution does not stop his execution.

Try putting a flag on the iteration of the monitored program terminal and change your Spy.vi to get the value of the iteration terminal using an invoke node and to get the value of control. (see attached image)

Close walking VI with her running and you will see the spy terminal iteration continues to increment.

The 'Bad' State indicatates a VI that may not work.

So what you see is exactly what must happen.

  • Error (or at least confused statements) in the Security Guide 12.1

On Page 4-16 under the creation of a common role, one paragraph reads:

Set the CONTAINER clause at ALL. In most cases, the omission of this clause of the CREATE ROLE statement or affecting the CURRENT creates the role as a local role and applies it to the current PDB only. However, if you are connected to the root and omit the clause CONTAINER, then by default the role is created as a common role, not a local role. You can create common roles in the root.

The first part of that paragraph says (or implies at least) that the creation of a role when you are connected to a file PDB will create a role is the CONTAINER is set to ALL.  The last sentence says that you can create common roles in the root. The implication is that you can create common roles only for the connection to the root, which would invalidate the prior statements.

    Hi Matthew,

Thanks for catching that error, and I apologize for the confusion! To create a common role, you must be at the root. I reworked the article to say the following:

To create a common role, follow these rules:

    • Make sure that you are in the root. You cannot create the common roles of a PDB file. To check if you are in the root, run the command con_name show. The output should indicate that you are at the root (CBD$ ROOT).
    • Make sure that the name you give begin of joint role with c# # or c# and contain only EDCDIC or ASCII characters. Note that this requirement does not apply to the names of existing roles provided by Oracle, such as DBA or RESOURCE rights.
    • Optionally, set the CONTAINER clause at ALL. As long as you are in the root, if you omit setting the CONTAINER = ALL clause, then by default, the role is created as a common role.

    Thank you

the elapsed times are very long and my understanding is that it is the operating time from end to end for queries, is that correct.

But when I run these queries into a toad, the results come back in about a minute or two.

I have also noticed that most of the time is divided between USER_IO_WAIT_TIME and CPU_TIME, I think I understand what is CPU_TIME, but I wasn't quite able to understand what USER_IO_WAIT_TIME is the online documentation.

My question is, the elapsed time is really the end of the query execution time? If so, why do I see CBI? genetically different times when run the queries in Toad manually?
