Statement of "SELECT UPDATES" of the audit

Hi all

My database is 10.2.0.3 and I activated audit_trail DB value already.

My goal I want to audit statement "SELECT UPDATES" on the table and tried to activate "SELECT" audit on the table that has the number of records in dba_audit_trail, because the "SELECT statement" that include in this review and then I tried to activate "TABLE of LOCKING" of the audit on the table that does not dba_audit_trail n records.

So my question is how to enable auditing of collecting only the instruction "Select updates"? or someone has an idea for this.

Kind regards
Hiko

I don't think that it is possible to SELECT UPDATES verification without verification of all SELECT statements.

What is the problem you are trying to solve in auditing SELECT for UPDATE statements? If you try to solve a problem of line lock contention, for example, you would be better served by looking at the data of ASHES (assuming that the appropriate licenses) to get information on what sessions were blocking other sessions over time.

If you really want to just audit records to SELECT for UPDATE statements, you may audit all selects them and then run a job that regularly purged audit records that were not SELECT them for updates. Or, assuming you are using FGA, you could get the current SQL from the USERENV context and analyze in the search of the FOR UPDATE clause before writing the audit record in your audit table.

    Hello

    Mode set-based, Oracle Warehouse Builder generates a single SQL statement that treats all data and performs all operations. Although the treatment of the data as a whole improves performance, audit information available are limited. Runtime auditing is only limited to the account of the run-time error. With mode based on the game, you can not identify lines that contain errors.

    Well, multi-listbox control is a problem if your change causes access to the muliple property node. For each property node LabVIEW normally does a refresh of the user interface which is very quickly. Fortunately, there is a fairly easy way to fix this.

    Use a node of property for the current VI (just drop a property node and change its class type VI Server-> VI reference) to get the reference of the Panel. Then use another property node connected to your reference of the Panel and select update from the Panel to postpone. Set this value to true before your Listbox (and any other updated user interface) and set the value to false then.

    I have a main Table and the corresponding Audit Table. I have a trigger. I created using the suggestion:http://www.runningoracle.com/product_info.php?products_id=211

    Why?

    You try to resolve what made you what are the PROBLEM that select as the solution?

    Now the problem that I am facing is that: if I run the same query (same value) update on the main table for n times (with the same data)... my audit table is updated with a new record every time.

    Yes - it is EXACTLY what you say that you wanted to do and EXACTLY what the code does in this article.

    He is not able to determine that the value is the same.

    I think you mean that the code does NOT check if the value is the same. You can certainly change the code to do this check. But I have a question to start with your need for such a solution.

    My goal is to load the audit table data if the value in a cell in the main table is really have changed.

    OK - then modify the code to check EACH COLUMN and compare its NEW value to the OLD value and insert only the table of audit if SOME (or columns you care specifically) have changed.

    A statement UPDATE changes the line if the update changes the column even value?

    It depends on what you mean by 'change the line '. Of course to update a column with the SAME value does not change the resulting data value.

    But the physical structure of the line, the location of the pieces of line and information in the header block (YVERT, etc.) will change. And, as others have said Oracle doesn't know and doesn't care, so if the new value of a column is the same as the old value will create redo, undo and the rest.

    Start over and tell us what PROBLEM you're trying to solve. Then we can help you find the best way to solve it.

  • Problem with instructions to update within the if statement

    Hello

    I have the following PL/SQL script. It was written in a way so it can be run several times, without worrying about if she has previously run means that it should only perform the update and edit, if it has not already been done.

    DECLARE
    CNT NUMBER;

    BEGIN
    -Rename column
    COUNT (*) of SELECT INTO cnt FROM user_tab_columns WHERE TABLE_NAME = 'WELL_TEST_DATA_QUERIES' AND COLUMN_NAME = 'PRIMARY ';

    IF (cnt = 1)
    THEN
    UPDATE WELL_TEST_DATA_QUERIES
    THE PRIMARY VALUE = 0
    WHERE PRIMARY = 1;

    RUN IMMEDIATELY 'ALTER TABLE WELL_TEST_DATA_QUERIES RENAME COLUMN PRIMARY TO WELL_TEST_TYPE;

    END IF;
    END;

    However, when it is executed several times, it seems to execute the body of the if statement each time, despite the fact that the select statement must return a count of 0 (and I checked that this is the case).

    If I change the script and put the UPDATE statement in an EXECUTE IMMEDIATE, it works fine:

    DECLARE
    CNT NUMBER;

    BEGIN
    -Rename column
    COUNT (*) of SELECT INTO cnt FROM user_tab_columns WHERE TABLE_NAME = 'WELL_TEST_DATA_QUERIES' AND COLUMN_NAME = 'PRIMARY ';

    IF (cnt = 1)
    THEN
    IMMEDIATE EXECUTION
    ' UPDATE WELL_TEST_DATA_QUERIES
    THE PRIMARY VALUE = 0
    WHERE PRIMARY = 1';

    RUN IMMEDIATELY 'ALTER TABLE WELL_TEST_DATA_QUERIES RENAME COLUMN PRIMARY TO WELL_TEST_TYPE;

    END IF;
    END;

    Can someone give me an indication of what is happening here?

    Thank you

    The problem is not because the IF statement entered the swiped m the cnt = 1, but because, when the code is compiled the PRIMARY column does not exist. The code should compile properly against the database, and all verified database object references, until the code is actually running.

    As you have discovered, when you do the dynamic update to help to run immediately, you will not get this problem, because execute immediate statements are strings that can not be validated at compile time and so the code will compile ok and then run.

    SELECT * from stock of the table where rows_id = R1 for update;

    Hi, you are missing the taskbar Windows, which usually appears at the bottom of the screen? Firefox normally does not block the taskbar if you do not use the mode full-screen. To check if you are using full-screen, you can use the F11 key that toggles between full screen and normal mode.

    Or if you meant the menu bar (File, Edit, View), you have two options:

    (1) display on request: press the ALT key to press F10 to display bar temporarily

    (2) time full display: you can use one of the following methods to view the list of the toolbar, and then select menu bar it:
