Once you get a version well beyond the default stats collection, it becomes dependent on how you query the data and what you are. If you have a limited number of queries with a limited number of bind values sent in the settings, this might be different from that of a DSS system with all sorts of strange requests, which could still be different analytical system where the full score scans are the norm. The version determines what options you have to stabilize the query plans.
If you have good plans generated for lots of data which by default would be stale anyway, you might consider importing a standard set of stats for these data. If you have keys to index constantly growing you can always generate 100%. It depends on.

A big thank you to all for taking the time to help me solve this frustrating problem. I've been very busy taking care of my wife who is on heavy medication because of the second surgical procedure on the back that is not well. I was not able to read all your replies, but I came across the solution, and suspect the problem was the 74-year old driver and not the problem of Firefox. I decided to reinstall Firefox 12 and then when I went to test printing with the internet, I noticed that when the initial print screen came the name of an unknown for me (?) printer is appeared where it says printer name. Only I have the printer a HP 7200 and therefore have not supposed than anything else would be there to select. The name of the printer listed was "Microsoft XPS Document Writer". When I changed my HP7200 the problem has been resolved. I don't know why I never noticed this unexpected change. Once again thank all forr you your kind assistance.

Windows 7 seems to only detect my HDD USB 50% (or less) of the time.
I'll post the question, followed by detailed system information. I bought an all-in-1 dual HDD Dock from Amazon, intending to use it to clone my drive and for extra storage. When I got the thing, it worked perfectly. I formatted the drive and cloned it once. Then I cloned my other PC HARD drive. No problem. Now, I started using a small 40 GB HARD drive to store data on. I have set up for quick removal as opposed to High Performance in the Windows computer management tool. After 2 or 3 days, Windows could not detect the HARD drive that was plugged into the dock, but the built-in memory card reader went fine and was accessible. I assumed that the used 40 GB drive was bad and he traded with another disk of 120 GB used. Same question. Read and writes data for 2-3 days, then disappeared from the workstation and the Windows computer management program. I wrote again chalked it up to a bad disc. Finally, I bought a new, sealed in box from Maxtor Diamondmax 16 80 GB HARD drive and installed in the dock. No problems. Finally, this one seemed longer that the rest, about 4 or 5 days of heavy use, as I was transferring all the intensive memory of data (videos, games and music). Then, frustrating, it's the same thing. The dock SD card and reader Memory Stick see drive fine, but not hard. I have reset, nothing. After about 30 min., it will then appear. The next day at the start, nothing. Then after that unexpected reset was done, it shows back, data intact, as ever, nothing happened. It is very annoying, because my data are only available SOME of the time. (I'm sure you can imagine). Anyone have ANY ideas? Beyond me. Here is my system information: laptop Sony VAIO VGN-FW190, circa 2008, with an Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 [email protected] 2.27 GHz, 2 GB RAM, built-in DVD - RW and Memory Stick/SD card reader, 3 USB ports (which all have the same reaction the disk HARD, BTW) and Windows 7 Ultimate 32 - Bit with Service Pack 1 installed. Thank you very much for taking the time to read all this, I just wanted to be very clear on the issue. I wanted to blame the HDD Dock, but very well it seems to work for a bit, and the drive performs very well if I install internally, so I can only blame some Windows/driver problem? After a few experiences, I discovered how to fix this problem. I don't know if this method is 'safe', but it works for me and until there has been no data loss/hard disk problem. This fix works for Windows 7 and Windows 8. Here are the steps to take to solve the problem:
Disconnect the USB port from the all-in-One HDD Docking station PC.
Startup PC.
With a docking power off power, remove any HARD drive located in the All - In - One HDD Docking station. (SD/Memory Sticks do not need to be removed, but any device connected to the USB port of the station MUST be removed).
All-in-One HDD Docking unit on and connect to the USB port. PC should detect the SD card reader was plugged.
Then the power of the device is turned on, quickly and carefully insert a HARD drive.
Wait for Windows recognizes the drive.
Then place the other HARD disk if necessary.
If you haven't already done so, use the Windows Management tool to 'say' Windows on new readers.
You will need to repeat this procedure every time you start IF you switch off the docking station. A reset will not cause Windows to "forget" the readers if the power of the station is not interrupted.As I said, I don't know if this method is 'safe', but it works for me. However, I would make sure that your readers are set up for fast moving as opposed to High Performance in the Windows computer management tool. Good luck.

Hi ive read through the forums and tried to find an answer to this, but get problems with Elements 9 rolling back when he tried to install the shared components. Ive tried several times to install.
Currently I have Adobe CS4 Web Edition installed with some components not installed because I didn't need them, it's just for additional info.
I have a Setup log, but it does not much what may be the problem.
Here's the whole journal if anyone can help, or is it possible to do a custom installation of the Elements 9?

Time is incorrect in Windows Photo Gallery and I would like to do this automatically scanned early for photos instead of my change time.
Hi Sardai,
Unfortunately, this information is not always accurate. If you took some of your pictures in a different time zone, for example, the time recorded for these pictures could be incorrect by several hours. The camera can also be set to the wrong date and time. Or, if you're scanning photos, ta date will reflect the date that they have been digitized, not the date on which they were taken. All these anomalies can be adjusted manually.
To change the date or time
1. open Windows Photo Gallery by clicking on the Start button, all programs, and then clicking Windows Photo Gallery.
2. If you do not see the details on the side of the window pane, click information on the toolbar to display it.
3. click on the image you want to change.
1. to select more than one picture, hold down the CTRL and click each picture you want to change.
4. click on the date at the top of the details pane.
5. click on the arrow next to the date and then click the correct date on the calendar.
6. click on the time at the top of the details pane.
7. Select the correct time.
To adjust the time for pictures taken in a different time zone
1. open Windows Photo Gallery by clicking on the Start button, all programs, and then clicking Windows Photo Gallery.
2. right click on the image you want to change and then click on change time taken.
To select more than one picture, hold down the CTRL and click each picture you want to change, and then click a picture when you are done.
3. in the change to box, type the number of hours to change, or click the up or down arrow to select the number of hours. To make the new start time, type a minus sign (-) before the number.

Reverse the time remapping effect?
Hi, I have a membership with the time-remapping applied via an expression and a skeleton key slider controlling the speed of reading of percentage.
Inside of the time remapped composition there is an effect property I want to be done by the time remapping. Is it possible to somehow invert the time remapping effect so that it appears unchanged in the composition of parent?
I think I'm close, but I still can't understand:
-Hand Comp, example time: 0:00:14:18
-Comp time to parents: 0:00:14:20, remapped to time right now (maybe before and after by a few images)
-Nested Comp expression of effect property:

Above doesn't work and seems out of step. I realized the FrameDifference composition is also indirectly done by the time remapping effect because the nested composition can access it and its remapped, so I tried for the composition of FrameDifference :

You make it too difficult. If you have a layer or element that you do not want be affixed by the time remapping effect then put this element in comp. Another thing is just a waste of time.
Change the speed of reading over time can be very complicated. The best way to understand what you do is look to the graphics editor. You need a much more complex expression in order to speed up and slow down playback without taking the time reverse. Please see motionipt.com where Dan Ebberts can show you how to make the ramp upward and boat speed reading thing.

triggering event for the time of day
I'm trying to put in place a system that requires taking several samples per day at the fire time (at irregular intervals) and then repeat it every day for a week or two. So far, I have tried to use a TimeStamp control array, but I'm not getting much. Does anyone has any ideas on how to do it, or can point me to an example that I missed in my research.

So what I would do, is create a loop of events with a single event - a timeout. Conduct of this event would be a picture of the time when an action should be performed. The loop starts, remove the first item and subtract the current time of the time goal. This will give you the time in seconds before the event. Multiply by 1000 to get the number of milliseconds before the time runs out. Feeding this value for the time-out. Then each timeout event fires of time, of the index to the next item and calculate a new delay.
