Reverse the time remapping effect?

Hi, I have a membership with the time-remapping applied via an expression and a skeleton key slider controlling the speed of reading of percentage.

Inside of the time remapped composition there is an effect property I want to be done by the time remapping. Is it possible to somehow invert the time remapping effect so that it appears unchanged in the composition of parent?

I think I'm close, but I still can't understand:

-Hand Comp, example time: 0:00:14:18

-Comp time to parents: 0:00:14:20, remapped to time right now (maybe before and after by a few images)

-Nested Comp expression of effect property:

var time = counteractTimeDisplacement - (((comp("__Main_Comp__").layer ("FrameDifference") .timeRemap - 1)));

etcEtcEffectPropertyValue = somethingReferenced.valueAtTime (counteractTimeDisplacement);

-FrameDifference Composition (simply shows the weft of the difference in time)

Remapped time: 0:00:01:02 / / added 1 second to allow negative values, when the time remapping effect is less, perhaps that should not be a timeRemap property, but I don't know how to use time on an object. null values

-Expression of remapping the colors:

()comp("Main_Comp").layer ("Parent comp') .timeRemap - time) + 1

Above doesn't work and seems out of step. I realized the FrameDifference composition is also indirectly done by the time remapping effect because the nested composition can access it and its remapped, so I tried for the composition of FrameDifference :

-Composition FrameDifference

-Expression of remapping the colors:

(comp("Main").layer ("Parent model") .timeRemap .valueAtTime (comp("Main_Comp").layer ("Parent comp') .timeRemap) - .timeRemap comp("Main_Comp").layer ("Parent model")) + 1

Its still not sync, can someone who understands the remapping / time better than me please help I can't see where im going wrong. Yet once I can't get out of the effect inside the remapped comp and use separately as this will cause other problems.

Thanks for reading

You make it too difficult. If you have a layer or element that you do not want be affixed by the time remapping effect then put this element in comp. Another thing is just a waste of time.

Change the speed of reading over time can be very complicated. The best way to understand what you do is look to the graphics editor. You need a much more complex expression in order to speed up and slow down playback without taking the time reverse. Please see motionipt.com where Dan Ebberts can show you how to make the ramp upward and boat speed reading thing.

  • Motion/opacity (yet) does not when you use the time remapping effect

OK: Here's my meat. This bug has been around for CS3 and CS4. I was hoping this would be fixed with the arrival of CS5, but apparently it still has not been resolved.

If you use the time remapping effect in the body, you can not use the other features of keyframing, such as movement or opacity. If you do, the video simply disappears. Rendering will not help either. The only way to get the opacity of the function is to overlay a video black bar on the top of the element (or any other cache of color if you like fantasy) and have the opacity on this clip in reverse work. How to get movement in these clips remapped time to work is still somewhat a mystery to me...

Has anyone found this tedious, boring/irritating?

So, when can dear Adobe, we expect a fix for this? If all goes well before CS6.

    Thank you very much.

    Richard

Yes, it's a real annoying bug.
Simple around - after work you time-remapping your clips, nest (control-click on the clip and select 'nest'), then you can change the opacity normally.

  • Can't reposition the timeline for the time remapping effect

I use Premiere Elements on a PC running Windows 8.1. I am trying to apply the time remapping effect to a section of an element. I've marked the beginning and the end of the segment I want to remap with markers of the scene. Set the timeline so that the segment that I intend to remap appears on the screen. When I click on the time remapping effect control (Tools |) Redefinition of the time), the timeline moves to the end of the clip, and I can't reposition to display the part I want to without leaving the screen of time remapping. How to keep or move the timeline on the part I want?

When you select the option of time remapping in the tool button in the action bar, you should go to an any other workspace, one dedicated to the time remapping effect. You shouldn't see the chronology of regular edition.

You click to select a clip on the timeline, then you click on tools, then time-remapping. Opens in the workspace of time remapping.

Is this what is happening? It is not clear from your description.

You are actually clicking to select one (and only one) clip on the timeline, before selecting the time remap tool, right?

  • Play a sequence of first which has been accelerated by the time remapping effect.

I accelerated an element in a sequence in first CS5. I then he brought in yet (also CS5), via dynamic links, to create a DVD. He won't play smooth. It is jerky this clip on the rest of the sequence.

    playing very well at first.

    What I am doing wrong?

    Thank you

I have not yet made the DVD.

Go ahead and do it.  Chances are that you see just a limitation of the preview, but the final product will work fine.

  • A clip I made the time-remapping on the shortening.

Okay, so, I'm still very much a first baby and this is the first time I tried to play with time-remapping. First of all, I'm on a PC using first Pro CC 2014.2.

Basically what I've done is created a cube rotating '3d '. I want to do with it is to rotate quickly, then slow down so that it is possible to read what is written on it. I got successful and ramp at the speed of the way I had hoped.

However! The clip is really long (I wanted to make sure that I gave myself enough time to play with because I wanted to speed up a bit), then I tried to shorten the clip... but when I do that, anything after the ramp becomes black. The first second or two before the ramp is always visible and spinning, hit the ramp and blackens. I tried just to drag the ends of the clamp as using the razor tool. The razor tool allows me to snap, but when I delete the excess part it always disappears.

Here is a screenshot just after using the razor tool.

And it disappears when I delete the excess part.

I have a feeling that he might have something to do with the first who need to be able to 'see' what's coming or something, and by removing the excess it is unclear what more can be done. But I wanted to ask and see if there was a way to shorten, if not I'll just throw something above the rest of the clip so that you can not see it always go to go back and continue on my way.

I just had a quick glance and I don't see what is happening. The easiest option is to export the master as an intermediate file without loss and change. When you make the time remapping effect, I always send to AFX and use the efx superior Timewarp, it has its own quirks but it does a better job.

  • Reverse the bevel & Emboss effect?

It would be cool if Adobe would have provided a box reverse effects of bevel and Emboss, as they did for the Gradients. Is there a quick way to reverse a bevel and Emboss effect or do I have to pay each manual adjustment?

If you are looking for something different to the Direction: up/down choice then please explain, maybe with screenshots.

  • After a slower to Retiming Effects? reversing the clamp is slower that make it real

    Hi just a request, really.

So far it seems 2014 is faster, more optimised, making it generally more quickly than the cc on the same machine

I just made a movie of 1080 x 5760 1 minute. It has a grid of 100 scripted or more of precomps who move, expand and are expressed in remapped time.

I made out in 25 minutes, defining it as proxy for use in a model that comes it reverses. (ctrl + alt + r)

It's in the Middle, to 30 minutes.

    that is weird and annoying.

Have tried with re - import the clip, when setting proxy did not work.

    And drains and clear cache

    and restart

I should perhaps take the rendering for the first and reverse it. I still don't trust the bicubics, although you might share on applications now, I don't know.

In 15 years never seen this before. But then I didn't do that many large frame film size so maybe it's just that.

Although BMD 10bits rendering to a comp. 8-bit, once again, a little ridiculous. but thought it would be faster, should have stuck to the RGB8bit Animation.

Am also new on PC and the joy of slow crash quicktime and gamma spannered ProRes etc. But the thought of the server 32-bit quicktime shnizzle work now...

Rendered to DPX then BMD or ProRes compilation (with PRHelper - I don't no need to spend any retention HQ) all in 16-bit, but I'm trying to save time.

    CC2014, Windows7 Z820, 2xE5-2643 4x3.3ghz each, 64 GB RAM, K5000, Vertex 3 system drive. Images and rendering on 2xstriped 512GB 840Pros.

Let's talk about time, which overturned a first layer. If you have a clip which is 30 seconds long and you've cut this clip in 4 seconds and you time reverse the layer it'll take about 4 times more time to render or preview ram such that she would be when rendered normally. It is because the time remapping effect is the calculation of the length of the fastener and the current frame whenever it renders a new image. It takes a lot of time. If apply you the same clip of time remapping and then use the wizard image key at the same time reverse the keyframes so these recalculations of waisting time disappear and each image is defined by the key frame data. Renders will reach approximately the same speed that make the clip without effects or transformations. I don't remember when I used last time reverse layer. It has been working like this for as long as I can remember. Maybe it's time for a request of feature or a bug report to find someone of the AE team to re-do the math behind the effect.

Another thing that might slow your render is the size of the model. A great movie to a standard size entirely not made. I would make something like this in a sequence of images. Secondly, you said that you have a grid of 100 pre comps. How big are they? If you put 100 comps across before who are full HD down to fill your computer then you ask AE to treat 100 HD layers by image and make these interpretations. Rendering will take a long time. If you take the scaling down, movement and other effects on expatriation flipping a layer you are in some seriously long travel times.

  • Ss12, time remapping: how to remove one of the multiple time zones?

Ss12 has the time remapping effect, which is excellent.

I remapped a clip, featuring several "zones" in slomo.  After clicking on the + sign to create the last zone, I realized that this was too many, and not really quite the same concept as the other.  I had not yet dragged the border to create any length.  But there seems to be no way to remove it, delete or cancel the action of having created it.  "Reset" to delete all time zones.

I could leave it as is, with a normal attribute of the time full speed.  But it is sloppy and let this kind of artifact behind in any type of program or project can turn against you.  If this is not an option.

I could delete them all and start over.  But it would be a lot of work and would not be closer to the fundamental issue, which is to know how to delete or cancel one time zone.

Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.

    Kawika808

The first thought that comes to mind was to put on 'Normal' for the time zone of interest here.

But there is an easier way... at the top right corner of a block of time zone is of x. Click to close and to get rid of this particular time zone.

Please let us know if none of this works for you.

    Thank you.

  • Time-remapping creates white dots a frame before a transition.

    Hello.
I made an animation with 2 scenes. I created a new composition with my finished animation where I activated the time remapping. In the last frame before the passage of the scene a scene two a lot of white dots appear on the screen. These points do not appear in the publication without the time remapping effect. I'll upload my AE file, so you can have a look.

  • Visualization of music. Time remapping problem!

Hey everybody. I played with visualization of music after effects a little and now I'm in a bit of a pickle. Many channels of music publishing have visualizations with particles and or animations that change speed based on the music. I have a copy of Trapcode soundkeys so I can turn the music in keyframes and achieve such animations, but here's my problem.

If I time remap a composition playing time * 1 + Enter keys sound after the typing animation kick goes to the rear where it would have been without the kick. Is there a way to make a demo you time remapping only go forward? Y at - it a way of expression that checks the value of the last image and I'm way off?

For example Monstercat make their background of particles. Is the speed of the particle generator ramp or there at - it a way to get similar effects of time remapping, so it could be used on more varied and interesting effects. Any help and responses are greatly appreciated!

Managed to get what I wanted with this practical guide to Dan Ebberts: Expression of speed and frequency

I don't even think of using the integrals and others. Now, I can input to output of soundkeys in a sheath of control that integrates it and cumulatively becomes bigger and bigger that the sound happens so. Then I can make the time remapping effect following.

I'll have to play with all these new possibilities!

  • Stabilizer of Warp and time remapping with 4 k clip in a sequence of 1080 p

    Hello

I work with 4 k videos in a sequence of 1080 p. This way I can zoom the clips and get more details in some parts of my video.

For some of my clips, I need to use the gradual stabilizing effect combined with time-remapping. To use stabilizer chain on my project, I need to create another sequence to adapt to my 4 k resolution, apply the chain stabilizer and then add this new sequence to my 1080 p sequence. Chain stabilizer works very well until the time remapping effect is applied. This new seens effect just neutralize the stabilizing effect of deformation.

Is it possible to use these two effects combined with 4 k clips?

    Thank you!

Try the k 4 nesting sequence before you add the time changes.

  • Timewarp / time remapping works not well?

Hi, I have a problem with speed variation. I got 25 fps made out of 3ds max exr images I want to add variations of speed in AE. The problem I face is that the movie stutters when you use the time remapping effect. Basically, what I was trying to do was made the scene very slow out and so I can climb in AE. I even tried different blending modes (moving pixels).

Here's what happens when you attempt to add some speed changes (when he slow down the initial speed of sequences)

    1. time remapping causes stuttering.

    2. While timewarp gives strange errors (error blur that looks like) interpolation speed goes like 100 - > 150 - > 100 and error occurs when up to 100

    system:

    Windows 7 64 bit, i7 2600 k, 3, 4 GHz, 16 GB RAM, Geforce GTX 580

    AE CS5.5

Do not use MAX I can only speculate, but questions usually boil down to the underlying platform. I would probably be there platform like a real train carriage works - a support wheel as the anchor, the other under the constraint of the target. By the construction of a hierarchy, you can even build the entire train and it follows the curvature almost perfectly. You then simply copy & paste the keyframes for the main bodies and understand the moment so they are evenly spaced. Once you have, you could apply a temporal distortion curve to the entire animation and everything should happen almost automatically. At least this is how I would approach it in Cinema 4 d. Without knowing your exact configuration, of course, it is difficult to judge these things. Well, anyway, as a minor, you should consider rendering a speed pass also in MAX and using Twixtor Pro instead of Timewarp. that would solve some of your problems already and you might still change using masks. It's definitely worth watching, if you can afford it...

  • Time remapping

Yep, F1, RTFM opportunity, following recommended links, the book of Mark, etc. and learned a lot about the time remapping effect. The thing that I learned was when using the graph Editor (which is my preferred method) and I want to keep the time for a few seconds, how can I do it without the rest of the ramp is more stiff and speeding to the top of the video? I tried to increase the length of the model to allow extra time, but not luck. Would appreciate any help on this matter. Thank you.

PS. Y at - it a keyboard shortcut to add a keyframe to ICT?

    You must have 4 keyframes - KF1 - 2 is a ramp, KF2 - 3 is a wedge and KF3 - 4 is a ramp

In addition, you will find may be easier to move keyframes for 3-4 and maintain the same chart if you're not in the graphics editor! Return to normal mode and take two last keyframe icons and drag to the right - in this way you can not accidentally go up & down in the graph (which changes of speed).
