  I have a need to change the LOV selection list element of a page based on the selection in the selection list on the page another element. In other words, for a page element that is a selection list, so I need to use a LOV normally and a different LOV if the value of a different page element is set to X.
  
  Dynamic action would be useful here (change where select list 1 = x), but I do not know how to take the measurements of the evolution of the LOVsfor select list 2 based on this action.

  I need assistance with a CASE statement to display some values of field based on another field value.

  It comes to my select statement.

  I don't want to delete all the values for the LOC. I want to display a value for DEPTNO and DNAME If LOC = "NEW YORK". Has anyone ever done this before?

  I have several show/hide parts of a report on a dashboard page. When the user comes to this dashboard page, it see areas collapsed and a status appropriate for each region and click on the region concerned the status listed in the title bar of region-based. Each region show different reports as "Exits", "Tasks", "Communiqué of progress" etc., for example, the user want to see the number of questions and tasks as a number displayed on the side right of the 'from', 'Tasks' area, in the same line as the title of the region. In addition, the user wants to see a progress bar graphic of liitle for the region 'Progress of the liberation' displayed on the right side of the area, in the same line as the title of the report. I have the return function to get these numbers and the graphic progress bar, but do not know how to post them on the right side of the area in the same line as the title of the region. all the ideas are really appreciated.

  I have an existing labview code that consists of a main vi, which is the GUI user, and several (about 70) under vi. I am trying to add a progress bar on the screen before (user GUI) which will be immediately after it hits certain sections of code. I write this using a global variable to store the value of the status and any attempt in the main on-screen progress bar after each increment. Is there a way to link the main progress bar value to the global variable so that it updates as soon as the value is incremented? The problem that I am facing is that when I update the global variable in a Subvi, the progress bar takes the value of the Sub - VI is finished, all the numbers to jump between the two. I know it's because I do not correctly write to the progress bar, but I don't know how to do. If this isn't a good method, are there any suggestions?

  I would go with a motor of Action update the progress bar VIA referance Server vi.  Here is an example of the use of a side effect I have to make this kind of progress bar.

  If you have not read Ben nugget of action engine, it should be mandatory, you can find here

  By building a "resource module" (a special AE that keeps a referance to the resource to act on) after initializint EI, you can call any 'method' on the resorce from anywhere in the instance of the application.  These babys really allow you to do interesting things to the GUI from around where the real action takes place.

• Progress bar not updated until the end of DLL fn

  I have a DLL that I am incorporating in a wrapper using LabVIEW 2011 SP1 Subvi.

  The exported DLL function updates the program on a PIC Microcontroller memory by creating an interface with the boot loader using only its own protocol CAN interface.

  The service takes about 20 seconds to write, read and check the operation succeeded, and I try to add an indication of progress.

  I have a LabVIEW test application vi which calls the Subvi dll and has a progress bar to provide feedback. Unfortunately I can't get the progress bar to update when the DLL is complete, but not when it does not, then he jumps just from 0% to 100%

  I made the assumption that the DLL is hogging the cpu and not allowing other indicators of labview to day or loops to run.

  The DLL includes calls to sleep briefly (3ms), and I upped half a second to see if that makes a difference

  It doesn't seem to be a way to get other items of LabVIEW to grab a slice of CPU.

  I tried to lower priority of Subvi to see if other threads in the code will preempt.

  I tried from the Subvi as an asynchronous call and collect the return status (with a waiting on asynchronous call) while a separate loop surveys trys to update the progress bar by calling a function exported in the same DLL accessor to get the value of the status property

  I've tried passing a blade refnum and update the property value directly from the DLL function from pointer to the value of parameter of function.

  I tried several variations and combinations.

  Is there a fundamental issue that prevents me from actively update the progress bar, while the DLL function runs, or am I missing a simple mechanism to achieve my goal.

• CFFILEUPLOAD - files are downloaded, but progress bar indicates the error.

  I'm trying to to cffileupload all rise on CF10. When I download a file, I can confirm the file going to where I specified, but the individual progress bar shows red and says "Error" (without code). The overall progress bar is green, but if there is more than one file, then it will not continue on the 2nd.

  I confirmed that the local account that runs CF has access to all the relevant directories (CFIDE, etc.). I set the values JSON for a status of 200 and the message of "success."

  What else could be?

  Okay, well I got it to work. I don't really understand the logic, but when I added the 'results' parameter to the cffile upload all the tag, the error has disappeared.

  I'm working on several projects of e-Learning and I hope someone can help with a progress bar of the simple course.  I have 5 images that I use to view the progress of the learner throughout.  I need to drop the current multiples with different lengths so, I thought I might have seen the update based on the percentage of the course.

  OK, I see you want the percentage based on images, not on the slides. But you need to calculate the percentage in each slide. Then check if it is between two values (0-0, 25; 0.25 - 0.50...). You should be aware that the percentage will not change in a slide, only entering into a slide.

  Create a v_perc user variable to store this percentage and a v_start user variable to store the first image of each slide. These two variables will be re-used on each slide. The total number of images in the project is fixed and = rdinfoSlideCount. It is now quite late here (almost midnight), do not feel to the top to really create the action, but you will need several decisions:

  Decision 1: standard action simulated using if 1 is equal to 1, THEN assign v_start with rdinfoCurrentFrame; Expression v_perc = v_start/rdinfoSlideCount

  Decision 2: IF v_perc<= 0.25="">

  Decision 3: IF v_perc > AND 0.25 > = 0.50...

  Decision 4: IF V...

  Not sure I understand the question. If you move a file from one folder to another folder on the same drive, there is no need of a progress bar. It would be just to change the path of the file.
