Steps to locate BlackBerry Apps

Hi all

I went through the developer for the localization of applications guide. But its quite confusing. I followed following steps

In BlackBerry JDE

1. I tried to create the files .rrc and .rrh by right-clicking on the project-> create a new file. But when I try to open that. I get the error "expected; or. ». I guess we cannot create like this.

2. as the option above did not. I tried to create the new project-> Selected Language Resource type-> name of the input file. We get the files .rrc and .rrh (I can add value key here) with Resources.java file (in which they explain how to use the beam). But an interface in which the BUNDLE_ID and BUNDLE_NAME etc. are defined is not visible not sure why? (As mentioned by Johnathan Fisher in location Article) . I tried to create a screen in this project and use resources. I am able to compile that. But it is not visible in the downloads. Not sure if it's because of the Type of project - language resource.

3. then, I tried to decompile the generated Interface class above and use in a HelloWorld project. Where I manually added the interface code to the file HelloWorld. And then it worked. But if we have to manually add the code for the interface, then it is not a good practice and automatically its does not work in step 2.

In Eclipse with the JDE Plugin.

1. I create New-> other-> resource-> .rrc and .rrh file file is created. I manually add the interface file. It compiles successfully. But gives error 104 JVM (resource Exception) when running in the emulator. Don't know what the problem is.

If the steps are not clear.

Can someone give me please clearly the steps how this should work.

Thanks in advance,

Sandeep

You must create a file CRR and HR that matches your application name. If your application is MyApp names, your files must be MyApp.rrh and MyApp.rrc. If you add languages that they must be added with "_countrycode", for example MyApp_de.rrc

This is enough to work in the JDE. If you want to use variables within eclipse (without the plugin) or another IDE, you must create a dummy interface called MyAppResource.java that contains a long BUNDLE_ID and a string BUNDLE_NAME. do NOT add this interface in your jde project, it is used only to post the resources within the IDE.

    Hello

Can someone give me please the steps to transfer my files in the app store for Blackberry. I am already registered on the site of the seller of the blackberry. But still, I need the document to represent all fields which.

Please help me as soon as POSSIBLE, thanks in advance.

    2. to be honest, I never looked seriously at this question.  I don't like this network my users are on.  Since you support WiFi, you need not be limited to specific carriers either.   There is a 'no restrictions' optin I think, and it's one that I woud pick for you.

    3. Yes.

You can, as he said, name your beams than anything you like.  But the name of the bundle is repported in statistics of download so better do something meaningful.  For example, if you create a bundle to take in charge of touchscreen phones and another for touchacreen not, then you can name the touch and nonTouch.  My boots are usually specific bone rather than a specific phone, so I could have a Pre_OS_5.0 beam and a beam of OS5.0_Plus.

    But to you.

    Thanks for the quick responses.

From what you guys said, I think that I thought about it. (For the eclipse at least)

Right-click on the project-> properties-> Blackberry Project Properties

    Click on the "resources" tab

    Check the title resources

Select the resource group and the ID of the key to the title of this resource group.

    Thanks for all the help!

  • the installation of itune + quick time I get a message that reads "no can access network location % data%\ app. »

had 2 users on the computer with itunes on the desktop. main user itunes has stopped working, but the secondary users still worked. tried to update software with the latest version but get a message that reads "not access network location % data%\ app.

This problem occurs because there is incorrect entries in the Shell folder of the user who is logged on to Microsoft Windows. When Windows Installer goes to the sale of Shell folder of the user who is logged on to the computer, Windows Installer cannot locate the correct entry. The solution is in http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/886549.

The steps to correct this problem involve editing the Windows registry.  Change the settings of the REGISTRY can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the REGISTRY settings configuration can be solved. Changes to these settings are at your own risk.  I suggest that you first back up your registry as follows: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Back-up-the-registry way to create a point in http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/create-a-restore-point-for-windows-vistas-system-restore/ restoration system just to be on the safe side.

Here are the steps to fix it.

    1. click on start, run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.

    2. look for the following registry key:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell dossiers\

3 remove the entries that show the path that is listed in the error message.

886549 KB http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/886549: Regedit open again. In the left pane, click User Shell Folders, point to new, click expandable string value, type the value name that you want to restore (AppData) and then press ENTER. Right click on this value, click change, type the value in the value data for the value name box, and then click OK. The value data must be: % USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming. Change it if necessary.

Step 8 KB 886549 suggests that you also check the values in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders. However, by fixing my problem, I had not to change values in the registry key.  If this does not work without the full procedure, follow ALL the steps in the referenced article.

I hope this helps.  If not, post back with the results of what you tried.  Rear post anyway so we will know what happened.

    Good luck!

    Hi manish14

Welcome to the Forums of the BlackBerry Support

If you encounter a problem with the version of BlackBerry World, then download BlackBerry World version 4.0.0.55 which is the best solution now available for BlackBerry World, first uninstall any existing version of the BlackBerry World from your device, options > device > application > locate and remove BlackBerry World, then do a battery pull reboot by removing the battery while your unit is powered.

After restarting the device from your BlackBerry browser search or click here http://mobileapps.blackberry.com/devicesoftware/entry.do?code=appworld3 to download the 4.0.0.55 version. Also check out this Knowledge Base for assistance:

  • BlackBerry App World Distribution issues

    Hello

I want to register as a developer that I will be able to submit my apps to the Blackberry App World.

My question is; in step 4 of the record, that I wonder to sign with my paypal account and below, I see the following:

There will be an initial service administration of US $200 tax in order to complete the registration and display products. For a limited time, the administrative cost for BlackBerry App World gave up.

Should I pay $ 200? for a limited time means that if I register now I do not need to pay any tax forever

Would be happy to receive help, thanks

Fees are currently removed to become a developer (i.e. it is free to become a developer) and has been for some time.

To summarize, Yes, sign up now. It is completely free to do and you will not have to pay for a foreseeable future, unless they reactivate credit system in which it costs $200 per 20 credits (1 credit = 1 release). Whatever it is, you never have to pay for the first 20 credits. I doubt that they will never turn on again, it but who knows.

  • BlackBerry App world & Marmalade - unable to update the application due to the incompatibility of the Package Id

When you try to submit an upgrade of my existing BlackBerry PlayBook application, my .bar file is rejected due to incompatibility of package-id.

I looked at the content of the folder bar and compared it to the original version that I presented. Indeed, the package Id has changed.

What has not changed, it is the id of the application signing certificate or id of the author. The original was presented with marmalade version 6.1, and was built with marmalade version 6.2.

Any idea on what is causing this discrepancy? Y at - there no fix for this other that screw up my existing version and from new BlackBerry App World? I really want to do because my clients lead are no longer updated.

In fact, I finally could get an it again. I run the tool for configuring Jam once more, then updated the packages of Marmalade by running the .mkb file. After these two steps, my release was accepted as being compatible with my previous version.

Thanks for the work around to the subject of manually update the configuration file. I'll take advantage of that in the future if need be.

  • BlackBerry App World Blackberry Smartphones does not open

BlackBerry App World will not open on my Curve 9300.

I uninstalled and reinstalled from my mobile, but still it does not open.

I uninstalled and reinstalled by plugging the appworld.blackberry.com website, but still it does not open.

I tried a lot of times battery pull but still the app world opened not only once.

I thought that maybe it's because some applications I downloaded via the app world. So, I removed almost all applications too (except some bare) applications, the app world still do not open even after pressing the battery or uninstall and reinstall mobile or Web site.

Also, all this time, the global icon is found in running applications.

By clicking on the icon in the screen of the applications currently running does not help.

By clicking on the icon on the taskbar status does not help.

    Help will be really appreciated.

Try this... options > device > Applications, remove the current AppWorld.

Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart.

    Then:

    1. Open the BlackBerry browser on the BlackBerry smartphone.
    2. Go to http://mobileapps.blackberry.com/devicesoftware/entry.do?code=appworld3
    3. After downloading, please reboot your BlackBerry smartphone when you are prompted.
    4. Check that BlackBerry App World is located on the home screen.

    Hey, Dine,.

  • BlackBerry-App buying smartphones, says still "App updated"

I bought an app of Ostwald designs (I updated and my payment went through) and it does not work and always said "App upgrade" and brings me to the payment page...

    Pls Help?
(I received the order and the confirmation of payment email.)

    I have a BB Bold 9900 (OS7.0)

Hello and welcome to the community!

I suggest that you clear the cache of the AppWorld application:

    1. open the App World

    2. go to my world

    3. follow one (and only one!) of these steps:

    3. for the BB keyboard-oriented - hold down the ALT key and press on, in the sequence R, then S, then T

3B. for touch screen only BBs - hold the num-lock (! 123 button) so that it hangs and then press on, in the sequence 3, then 4, then)

    3 c for the most recent (e, g., OS6 and 7) BB s, see this KB:

    • KB24714 How to clear the cache of BlackBerry App World

    4 AppWorld must close.

    5. If your BB locks after issuing clear cache, do a battery pull reboot

    6. return to AppWorld/MyWorld (it can be slow, while it re - sync).

If (4) stage arrives not as described, then the empty the cache failed.

I hope it'll work for you! Good luck and let us know!

  • Icon blackBerry Smartphones Blackberry app world gone.

I use bb 9780 with OS 6.0. I have a few days back that I updated my Blackberry app World 3.1.0.60 but since then I cannot locate my world the app icon on my home screen.

I checked my whole bb and even hidden files but its nowhere to be found. It shows in the list of installed applications, but nowhere in the blackberry. I even tried reinstalling several times but still the problem is persistent.

    Please help me on this.

Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most defects and errors of operating system, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.

Now, look for the AW icon again. All records and in the folder/tab download

  • My blackberry app world phones smart blackBerry went from what I've been...

My blackberry app world went all in GBP to all be in USD. How can I change back so that my location and currency are right?

    Question101460 wrote:
My blackberry app world went all in GBP to all be in USD. How can I change back so that my location and currency are right?

    Hello!

There have been some problems with the services of the AppWorld lately... most is supposed to be cleared up. Please try again. Also, please try to remove and re - install AppWorld... some have been reported to be useful. More... RIM released version 1.1.0.15 AppWorld... it is highly recommended to be on this version.

Also, please try a hard reset: turn on, remove the back cover and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

In addition, you can try this sequence:

    (1) AppWorld remove your BB (Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Applications)-if she prays that you restart the BB to do.

    (2) a Batt Pull restart as described above.

    (3) get a new link and install a new copy of AppWorld
    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/services/appworld/download.jsp#tab_tab_download

Yet once, if he asks to restart, do.

    (4) restart another Batt-sweater

    (5) see if it works now.

If none of this works, then please go back on these forums

  • BlackBerry smartphones I've downloaded a game app for the Blackberry App Center w...

I downloaded a game app in the Blackberry App Center, which worked very well. A few days later, I downloaded another application requiring a reboot of the system. After the restart, the game I bought has been removed. I can find no trace of this game and can't seem to find a way to rsstore on my device. Please advise me.

    Hello!

To reinstall your applications, please follow this section of the AppWorld user guide:

For more information, registration keys, see this KB:

In some cases, it was discovered that updates (from got AppWorld apps) require additional steps in order to install the update. If the update will not install, please try this:

    1. Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Applications > highlight the app > BBKey > delete
    2. AppWorld > MyWorld > Login > highlight the app (if she shows at all, in any State) > BBKey > delete
    3. Use your PC (via the mass storage Mode) or your BB (via Media > BBKey > Explore) and find all references (folders, files) to the app delete everything you find. Search the memory of your device and your press card as well.
    4. Use the link to user guide AppWorld above for re - install the app - then predict a new activation/registration key
