  On your device homescreen go to Options > device > BlackBerry ID > login with your BlackBerry ID, after connection open BBM and see if your BBM contacts are available.

  Or if you have an old backup then connect your device and run BlackBerry Desktop Software > click Device > restore > you can select your list of BBM contacts from the list that you can restore your device.

• AppStore does not download some apps

  I have a problem when trying to install some, not all applications on the Mac all the store. Specifically Todoist and Fullcontact

  Both were previously downloaded and installed via the Mac app store then deleted, the question of trying to reinstall door the same day and time. When I try to down load and reinstall from purchases (both are free) page of the app store download process starts very well but just before finishing I get this error message. "Todoist: to do list | "List of tasks could not download - use purchases page to try again" if I try again I just going round in circles. then error message in red against the app 'an error occurred' after the flags of app store if it linked to just the one app, I think that it is a problem with the developer, but it's not. Subsequently, I deleted some apps and reistalled them very well from the app store.

  Before that everyone is a little enough to answer Ive tried this after a search on the internet on the problem.  Delete all preferences and cache in connection to the app store all old preference for the im apps try to reinstall. Signed in and out of the appstore. interestingling both missed apps remain listed with their error message after I registered. Reset warnings etc in Itunes. The key here is that the incident relates to a specific time when I was using my macbook so I'm looking for the "nuke appsore" button if someone is willing to tell me where he is.

  Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

  From your post, I see that you are unable to update two specific applications from the Mac App Store.  Given the previous troubleshooting you have already completed, the next step, I would like to is to delete cookies from the Mac App Store itself.  To do this, you need to enable the debug menu by entering a Terminal command:

  1. Click on the Finder on your Dock icon
  2. Click OK > utilities > Terminal in the menu bar
  3. Copy the line below, paste into Terminal, and then press ENTER:defaults write com.apple.appstore ShowDebugMenu -bool true

  4. If the Mac App Store is open, close it and then the stimulus

  5. You'll see the Debug menu next to help in the menu bar

  In the Debug menu, select 'Delete the Cookies' and then close and restart the Mac App Store.  If the issue is resolved, then you will follow the previous steps for terminal, except for changing the Terminal command to:defaults write com.apple.appstore ShowDebugMenu -bool false

OK, I was also in communication with the developer of the program.  I asked it there a way to look at this, he did he contacted their support person... It is said that it was a problem of system with the app store only... I say BS, as I bought three of these phones, I was the only mine updated and when you test other phones that they had no problem.  I also did some research forum outside and discovered that a lot of people have this same problem.  a helpful person has proposed a process to solve this problem, in my opinion, he was the resident expert forum.  the answers were why we would all have this surgery for a new phone.  I just got this day before yesterday and yesterday updated, nothing else installed...

  I ran into the problem last night where I could not install, reinstall, or update all apps in the Windows store.  I'm still under Windows 8 and 8.1 not for reasons known but that is for another place.
  This problem took me a day to find and troubleshoot, ALLL and I mean about 8 solid hours.  The error codes I received kept windows pointing store of problems with Windows Update or other corruptions of system, but after all of these solutions and executed the partner checks several times nothing was wrong with my Windows Update.  I would have guessed considering how I could still download updates from MS very well.
  What solved MY problem (and I bet that most of your establishments), was actually a file permissions issue.  There are TWO, count them 2 folders that you should be sure your username has full permissions.  I saw there of the patches that speak on one or the other, but you need BOTH.  Here is the path to these files file: (remember 'C' is my root drive, is the name of each user on the system, and if you have customized your installation of windows, or the location of the user folder, you must change this path to match)
  C:\Program Files\WindowsApps
  \AppData\Local\Packages C:\Users\
  Before you follow this procedure, access the Windows store and cancel all pending installations (or omitted).
  To set the permissions: (if at any time, the system asks the permission of the administrator, you must grant it)
  1. make sure that you logged in with an administrator account.
  2. open Windows Explorer and navigate to C:\Program FIles.
  3. Locate the file WindowsApps (all the way down)
  NOTE: this is a hidden folder, so do not forget, you go to the top of the window and click on the 'View' tab, then check the box next to "Hidden items" in the Show/Hide section.
  4. right click on the WindowsApps file and choose "Properties".
  5. click on the security"" tab.
  6. click on the button "Advanced".
  7.1 if your username is listed in the list under entity double-click on it (otherwise go to 7.2)
  7.1 a - ensure the Type: is 'Allow' and the applies to: is "this folder, subfolders and files.
  7.1 b - click the full control checkbox
  7.1.c - click OK
  7.2 If your username is not listed, click on the button "Add" below the list (you may need to click on 'Edit' to the 'Add' button to appear)
  7.2 a - click on "Select a main" link at the top.
  7.2 b-"Advanced", click on "find now".
  7.2 c - book here your user name in the list and double-click on it
  7.2d - click OK
  7.2E - ensure the Type: is 'Allow' and the applies to: is "this folder, subfolders and files.

  7.2f - click the full control checkbox

  7.2.g - click OK
  8. you should now see your username in the list of the "Advanced Security Settings for WindowsApps" with "Full control" in the access column (if you do not, go back to 7.1 or 7.2 and carefully follow the steps once again).  Click OK
  9 go to C:\Users\\AppData\Local
  NOTE: AppData is a hidden folder, so be sure you have the "Hidden items" box checked
  10. right click on the WindowsApps file and choose "Properties".
  11. click on the security"" tab.
  12. click on the button "Advanced".
  13 follow the same procedure in steps 7.1 or 7.2 to add your username to the list to this folder with full control permissions.

  . Restart your computer.
  That's it, once your computer restarts, you should be able to use the store Windows to install applications and updates.
  Once you confirm that it works for you, I recommend you to create an image of the master volume of your Windows System.  All this happened to me while I was trying to get everything set up initially, but once you do, using the image as a good quick a good known Configuration reboot is a MUCH faster way to solve many problems with Windows... SAME A WAY TO GO BACK to Windows 8 Windows 8.1 IF YOU FIND THE NEED. I KNOW I DID!

• Question about the Directory migration whole app.

  Hello everyone, we are upgrading 11.1.1.4 to 11.1.2.3 Essbase. As part of the migration as you know it is supposed to copy the app on the new server (target) directory. My question is the source server must be down when this app directory is get copied to the target server? On our dev server, the copy took 12 hours. So, we are looking for ways to cut down on production time. The essbase, staging of tool stops the server source essbase as part of the migration, then is one of the following steps to copy the app directory. Once the copy has been started can the essbase server to start (to reduce the downtime) while copying is in progress or is it a necessity that the source must be down. Thanks for your suggestions.

  I'd either reduce Essbase or have the apps in read only mode you don't want locks on files while trying to copy, you can also if you have a problem with the time he copies to your target could not do you it in two steps copy the local app directory to its current location which should be fast , and then copy the directory to the target, that way at least you can get Essbase if you can get some success on performance when copying files.

  You have to turn in my iPhone to work to my employer (which gives the opinion of my 2 weeks).  Got a new Macbook pro and iPhone staff.  I want to transfer some apps and their data from my old iPhone to my new iPhone.  How do I do that?  I made a backup of the old iPhone to new macbook.  If I restore my new iPhone, will not get ALL legacy applications?  I want to only those selected.  Anyway to do it?

  Apps are not stored in the backup of your iPhone.  (Data from applications, however, are stored here.)  Instead, a record of which applications you bought (and possibly the apps themselves) are stored in the code of the iTunes Store with your Apple ID.

  If you synchronize your iPhone using iTunes on your computer, your applications are probably stored on your computer.  In this case, open iTunes on your computer, go to the applications tab and choose "my applications".

  

  From there you can do a right click (or Ctrl-click on Mac) app and delete it if you wish.

  This assumes that you have overcome a problem of property.  Really, your employer has all that is on their iPhone.  It should, in theory, be a separate Apple ID used for your personal property and those who is owner of your employer.

  I am wanting to remove some programs from my "adding and deleting' on the control panel.  I have several that I don't know if they are necessary in order to do not want to delete them until I have found.  Example: Microsoft.NET framework 2.0 service pack 2, if I said the same thing with the exception of program 3.0 can remove either one or both or what?  Redistributible MS Visual C ++ 2005 and also have 2008 and 2110.  Platform Installer 3.0, WCF RIA Services V1.0 for visual studio 2010.  I don't even remember downloading all of this stuff, but don't know if it has a meaning to my computer or not.  Y at - it somewhere I can look to find such information?  Don't like silly things like this, but would rather ask that screw up something.  Thank you

  This error indicates that an application is using this file at this point here. If you are unable to remove it, restart your computer and then try to delete it.

  IF YOU ARE NOT SUCCESSFUL WITH THE above METHOD, THEN TRY to USE UNLOCKER, a free application that disables the application using the file that you want to delete.

  I saw a commercial for this topic today and I downloaded it. It looks pretty clean, and it has three functions. It works like an antivirus, it backs up all your contacts (as does google and backup assistant) and photos, and it finds your phone if you lose it.

  I tested it by going online to look for my phone, which was in my hand. It makes me right to my house. I sent then disable the alarm and in about a minute a siren went off on my phone. So, it's great if you have lost your phone in the House, because you can find it now! Laughing out loud! There same sirens by silent.

  I have been using Lookout for quite some time now.   I find that it works well, and I had no problem with it.  It isn't howevere, an app from Verizon... but available on the market.

  Just a quick question. Is it possible to start/call a third party on a blackberry java application 7 from a WebWorks app?

  I did some research and it seems that it is impossible. I did the opposite and opened a WebWorks app from java application successfully but hope that it is possible.

  Unfortunately BBOS was not as flexible as BlackBerry 10 invocation framework and what was available on the side of Java is not inherently available in WebWorks.
