Still ~ building system (tri) access denied file

I work with a Windows 7 PC.   I'm trying to archive the old video footage of 1982. I'm used to first but new in yet.  I tried to burn this game to the school on standard DVD disc and it worked.  Then I tried double layer and my problems began.  Tried to burn to DVD folder to simplify and am almost there.

I suspect that part of the problem may be that I export in yet.  Put film on timeline and I'm left with a chronology of orphans.   I've solved this by removing the orphan of the first.    I noticed that on my last attempt 'Menu Item I' added white to the main menu.

Antoin151

Don't know if this should be the problem but Windows 7 as its syster windows Vista introduces security (bug) I call cause I don't think that it is no reason for this type of interactions.

Well instead of lunch still left by clicking on its icon, just right click and select run as an administrator, a security warning is displayed, in which you can also click on "select" when this warning appears the option and set it to never. then click OK and OK. Still can not lunch at this stage but repeat the process by right clicking and select Administrator, now try burning your disc or image.

Hope that helps.

  • access denied file

access denied file. modified security clearance. I can change in each file individually.

How can I change all of the subfolders at the same time.

I did once but may not know how I did it. That's how I got into this mess.

I tried to change the security permissions in the main file, but had access denied by subfolders durning the process of change attempt.

Win7.  WD my storage security - no book.  thousands of affected files.

    Hello
Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.

Usually, the security restrictions may involved all subfolders too. Therefore, when you implement security access, make sure that select the box apply to all subfolders and files. This will change all files and subfolders in a folder.

  • Owner of the 'ACCESS DENIED' file to the owner

I'm on Windows XP Home edition 2002, Version 5.1, 32-bit (Service Pack 3)

I can't access my account "Owner" no matter how I approach him--even from the command prompt.  I keep getting messages like "the owner is not Accessible.  "Access denied", I lost it and thousands of irreplaceable files after screwing up an attempt to "system restore."  (I have not now viable 'system restore' point.)  What I have is a second file "Owner", namely: "Owner.YOUR - W92P4BHLZG".  Apparently there are still files residing on the 'Owner' orginal account, but I can't.

Here's the kicker: I found the instructions on how to get access to the files ' owner', but I must have a Windows odball version because there is no "Use Simple File Sharing" option in my options 'Advanced Settings' under "Folder Options."  Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Kilpeder,

Since you have Windows XP Home Edition, you must start the computer in safe mode and try to take ownership of the file in safe mode. The option disable file sharing Simple is available in Windows XP Professional. To start the computer in safe mode, restart both computers and keep tapping the F8 key. Once you see the option to select Safe mode, select it and press ENTER.

You can access the link below and follow the steps in the article to take possession of the file or the folder on the computer.

  • Windows 7 Pro EFS and access denied

    Hi all

I use Windows 7 Pro & recently my motherboard has not completely!

Before that, the only indications of a problem seemed to be errors of IO, but Seagate tools etc etc says it all, it was

Well! After some troubleshooting I replaced the SATA cable and everything seemed OK!

So, I supported manually backed up 99% of my files on external drive 'My book' and others on my LAN drive!

Also, I decided to install a new drive HARD Seagate 2 TB and used Macrium reflect to CLONE the OLD drive (C :) for her!

When the motherboard is not / could not access drive etc etc, I have assumed that the drive had failed and decided to make a recovery - Norton Ghost recovered the system OP OK, BUT I wanted THEN RE-BOOT and the system could not do

who... The MB has finally made the soul!

Now that I have replaced the motherboard and I added a SSD Evo 850 and installed Win 7 Pro, I have re-installed the software, we come NOW to the crux of the matter!

Under the former regime in my library of Documents I had an EFS encrypted file, well call him 'MyPvtStuff '.

The NEW system, I have set up libraries develop NEW Seagate HDD and copied all libraries from the old to the NEW. On the audit of all the folders & files copied to the NEW libraries very well.

I use a program called "BEYOND COMPARE [BC]" (CheckIt Out... NOT a gift, but a must-have tool) to confirm everything was OK and deleted the OLD files EXCEPT THE DOCUMENT ROOT directory.

The access to the NEW "MyPvtStuff", I found the files still encrypted, BUT HAD 'ACCESS DENIED' and should have permissions to use them! Also, when I tried to DECRYPT!

I tried the permissions and repossess and import certificates etc. etc. etc. ALL WITHOUT SUCCESS!

After investigating the same problem on the web and try some tools copy etc, I found useful information "If you copy a file or folder across a network, the file/folder is DECRYPTED and then copied everywhere".

So I was Lucky (good luck, no management) that I had copied the OLD "MyPvtStuff" and able to recover a number of file. Unfortunately, I had NOT backed up the most recent file.

I have resorted to the "My Book" drive and found that the backup was also encrypted AND of coarse the really important the (year-end) etc. etc. are the one I need!

I decided to start from the old drive cloned in the hope that I might be able to recover the files of encryption/diploma (you guessed it, I backup the encryption key/powers), it has Boot Ok BUT Windows wouldn't start, not really a surprise!

Essentially, if I can locate the file encryption (whatever it is? and import to my system of work, I should be able to decrypt the files I NEED and what you need is an understatement!)

Unfortunately, a lot of links referring to the technical support from Microsoft for Windows 7 are WITHOUT available and making it very difficult to get the information I need! If anyone has the s on which folder / files that I need to find so I can at least import the certificates that I'd LOVE to hear from you!

Some additional info, I have the installer of the new system with the same user name and account profile, password etc.

In safe mode does not help at all!

    Thank you very much

  • Unable to access the files from Windows 7 computer to Windows 8

    Hello

I have Word 2007 on two computers, and each has Windows 7 or 8.  I'm trying to share with homegroup.  My goal is to keep my documents on Windows 7 system and access the files (read and edit) the system of Windows 8. I don't want multiple documents, I want just one version.

After you open the docx Word read-only, I did some research and discovered that if I go to the file on the computer with Win7, made a right click on the file, then select residential group read/write, I would then be able to access the computer of Win8 file and edit and save it.  I was able to do this.

    OT: Word 2007 ReadOnly

To make sure that I could continue to do so, I tried again (by selecting the docx on the Win7 system since the system of Win8).  I received one copy read the second time.  What should I do to edit and save the Win8 computer capabilities, without having to physically run to the Win7 to allow access?

    Thank you

  • Cannot conect - access denied

I recently changed provider hosting and simply all the files in my past to my new public directory public_html folder. However, when I open contribute and the attempt to connect to my site, I get a message "access denied - file does not exist or might be a permissions problem. I see that Contribute is to start to download a file of test called "cthub337f0ela5ba0875f.csi". I have no idea what it means. I've updated name/password FTP IP information and the user for the new host. Why this is happening and what I can do about it?

Just a suggestion here, based on our experience of the CPS in movement to a new server. ATTENTION: I would make this knowledge move everything you need to know about your new connection: the URL, the default home page is (index.htm or index.html, the FTP connection settings, etc.). Also be sure to save your xml with the user files and other mission critical files so you don't lose them. You should be ok because you're not re-setup of CPS, but it is always good to be safe.

You can restore your connection to remove the old and creating a new. First open Contribute and even if she isn't the connection, just to get the homepage. Then click on change--> my connections to open the dialog box that shows your connection "old." You can choose and click on the button Delete. Then, you can click on the button create to walk through the process of creating a connection to the new server.

Again, BE sure THAT you know what is on your new connection before attempting this, so that you know how to create. Passage of the files is not likely to help your login process is filled with several writings and readings on the server via FTP and the best thing to do is to create a new connection (and a new key encrypted accordingly connection) that this sets up completely. Once you are re-connected, you enter in the Admin section and access the list of possible files by default the server may use (e.g., default.htm, index.html, index.htm, default.html, etc.) so that your home page can be recognized.

    I hope this helps.

Try to start your system from a "Live Linux" CD free.  This CD runs a version of Linux without installing anything on your hard drive.  To create the CD, you download a file ".iso" and feature "Burn Image" of your CD burner to create a bootable CD.  The advantage, that you win, is that Linux is a lot less strict with permissions, so you should be able to access your files and copy them to a USB device.  Some Linux Live CD are:
    Knoppix: <> http://www.knopper.net/knoppix/index-en.html >
    Ubuntu: <> http://www.ubuntu.com/download/help/try-ubuntu-before-you-install >
Ubuntu is actually an installation disc, so be very careful to follow the 'Try Me' instructions so that don't accidentally install you it on your hard drive.

An another boot CD, you might try is "Hiren".  It is in fact a version of "First environment" of Windows XP, so you could get access to some files that you would otherwise not not when starting on this disc.

  • Trying to access the files on an external drive. It is denied. Some files are accessable. / problem solved. But please help me learn.

    Hello.

I use XP Home 32-bit Edition. My a-external hard drive is a Western Digital My Book Essential 1.5 Tb USB2 HARD drive: model number: WDBAAF0015HBK-00.

I can't access all files on the external hard drive. Currently, I mounted it on a folder. I have some files tif on the external hard drive and wanted to access my photos.

The message that I had to right click and select open with was "access to C:\(Folder tree) denied." I tried my programs and the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer of image editing. Nothing works.

When I right click on the images of problem the only options I have are: open, print, edit, Preview, open with, send to. None of these work.

Some files are not accessible, and others. Unaccessable files do not have a preview image in the window pane (on the lower left side when I'm in the folder).

This can happen if I didn't 'delete safetly' external hard drive or there was a Brown out? Some of the tif are too long file extensions? Shouldn't windows warn me too long file extensions?

I consulted the havn't the reader for a while.

I can not drag and drop the files to my desktop. I can't copy, cut, delete or move the files. When I click on a file, and then click file - properties: nothing shows up and he says: size: 0 bytes, size on disk: 0 bytes. But when I click on the file in the folder, it says that it is 23.3 MB. I can move the folder on my desktop.

When I select all the files and click on file - properties: it is said attributes: read-only and hidden. They are green in box, I have not did those and it does not work. I clicked on Advanced Options, again I had unstapled the ReadOnly and hidden, then I unchecked all 4 options because they were greenboxed too. It's green boxes, not the check marks in both situations. What are the green boxes?

    ______________________________________________________

Fixed a problem. I dragged and deposited the files on my desktop and I can access it. At this point, I just thought, since I had problems with the music files (mp3 or wav) is too long and is not be able to access or remove them, but I can delete the folders to get rid of them.

So my question is why am I unable to access the files? This is a limitation of my external hard drive? Can I test or repair? What is this kind of disk with this version of Windows? What is a format? It's NTFS. Computer management indicates that the external drive is healthy.

It seems that some files are not named as long as others and I could access those. Is there a limit on character/attribution of Tif or all types of files? If so, is it the same? Pourrait - linked to the way in which the external (or internal drive?) is setup in the policies tab? Are each disk different? They seem to be a little more limited than the internal hard drives, but I'm not sure if this is a limitation of the usb2.

Does anyone know if there is a program or a way to know how many letters or numbers have been used? Microsoft Word and Works a number of words, but Works 9 (I have that) doesn't have a number of letter.

Contradict you yourself.  At one point, you said:

    > I can not drag and drop the files to my desktop. I can't copy, cut, delete or move the files.
    and then you say:
    > A problem fixed. I dragged and deposited the files on my desktop and I can access it.

This side, the general approach to access in this case is "Ownership" of these files.
"How appropriate a file or a folder in Windows XP"

This probably occurred because the files were created on different computers by users with different Secure ID (SID) or you have reinstalled Windows and files were protected to some extent.  Since you are using XP Home Edition, the only way to see the security settings is to start your computer using safe mode and log in as an administrator.  This will give you access to the 'Security' tab when you right-click on a file and select 'Properties' (as described in the article above).  Apart from connecting with Safe Mode, you can use 'Cacls' command from a command prompt window (start-> Run-> "cmd") to view or change permissions on files
